"I was too much for one person to handle. Too emotional. Too impulsive. Too scatterbrained. It was only after my diagnosis that I understood why I was that way."

Have you ever read a book and just felt that the author genuinely wanted to help? That’s exactly how I felt while reading this.

The book covers a lot—productivity, career, relationships, emotions—you name it. And that’s both its biggest strength (because, wow, everything you need is in one place) and a slight weakness (since some topics felt more like a skim than a deep dive). But even so, I walked away with a few gems that I’m already trying to apply in my own life:

1) Do at least one thing for yourself every single day. No matter how small.
2) The If/Then Rule: If the phone rings, take a deep breath before answering. (Simple, but game-changing.)
3) Decide how long something will take... then double it. Because let’s be real, time blindness is a thing.

More than anything, I love that this book exists. ADHD in women is so often overlooked, especially compared to kids or men, and seeing books like this gaining traction makes me hopeful. If you’ve ever felt "too much" or struggled to keep up with life’s demands, this book might just give you the reassurance (and practical tools) you need.

knowledge is power

As a teacher I provide home tutoring for several students, recently I noticed one of the learners seemed to strangle with paying attention. Fortunately I had read this book and was able to recognize the signs of ADHD. I shared the book with the her mother and encouraged her to take the child for a check up. The doctor confirmed it. Thanks to the knowledge from this book, I have better understanding of how to support and manage students with this type of disorder.

I really enjoyed this book - I felt it featured down to earth, positive, doable advice for women with adhd. I listened to the audiobook but will definitely be downloading the workbook and going through the exercises with more detail.
The author has adhd and draws on her own experience, acknowledging the challenges without being negative or a victim. Instead she offers realistic strategies and solutions that feel very doable.
