This the story of Fabienne that is married to an man that she is not remember, and joins a society of time watchers to save her sibilings. It is too the story of Emily, that lost her mother and will learn more about her family history at same time will help to save Fabienne´s life.
Did enjoy the two timelines, both characters are strong and healing to do anything for their family. Also the love story was lovely.

Fabienne Beaumont wakes up in 1864 Connecticut with no memory of how she got there nor anything that happened after she was shot in New York City two years earlier. Her husband is a complete stranger to her, and she is consumed by grief and guilt at discovering her siblings both died on the day she was shot as they were trying to secure passage to France in a last-ditch effort to leave a country ravaged by the Civil War.
In 2008 Georgia, Emily is trying hard to keep up with her studies when she stumbles upon an old diary while doing research for a history assignment on the Civil War. A diary which, it turns out, was written by none other than her ancestor Fabienne and contains the secrets of time travel - a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Emily to attempt saving her dying mom. But danger lurks in every corner, and Emily's present efforts might just tear Fabienne's past life apart.
Time Watcher builds a fascinating story following these intersecting dual timelines to deliver a captivating read which is sure to keep readers guessing right up until the very end. Both Fabienne and Emily are compelling protagonists, each facing some truly heartbreaking choices while dealing with extremely painful circumstances, accompanying readers on a reflection on love, loss and the lengths to which people might go to get it back.
As with most novels centred around time travel, the plot is intricate and requires some attention on the reader's part not to miss the clues the author cleverly disseminates throughout the novel. Still, the author did a great job in making even the most complex temporal twists and turns easy to follow, with clear explanations seamlessly woven through the narrative mostly avoiding excessive reliance on exposition. The historical background of the American Civil War perfectly conveys the sense of urgency and the climate of mistrust which allows the story to develop, while the contrast with the modern setting allows for some "fish out of water" type humour that balances the overall more dramatic tone. The romance is also sweet and works well within the story, complementing but never overshadowing it.
Overall, Time Watcher is a twisty read combining time travel, romance, history and family which is likely to appeal to readers seeking a multilayered story reminiscent of The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger.

Time Wacher by Kate Serzenta, The book starts with Fabian her brother Anton and her sister Maria in New York trying to find passage back to France win their attempt goes wrong Fabian is shot and when she wakes she is in a completely different life and it’s two years later. She learns her siblings are dead soon she’s given an ultimatum on helping get them back. In the future Emily is learning more and more about her family the two timelines intertwine and although that may sound crazy I found that part of the book was done really well my only issue with the book I don’t like when historical books are written with historical detail in mine. Well like how they were eating cheesecake and talking about playing darts these are not things that were common during and around the Civil War darts didn’t become a game people played for fun until the middle of the 1900s but this is just two examples they were many others in the book and although I found she did her due diligence on the lot of the historical detail but there were some glaring omissions not just that I found Fabians whole attitude when she woke up in a different time and place didn’t seem like an authentic reaction I do want to say I think Emily‘s POV was brilliant I loved her so much and if they had a book two I’m not gonna lie I would probably read it I do wish the author did more research before putting things in her book because when something is mentioned that I know wasn’t popular or in use at the time it totally takes me out and makes me feel incredulous… So yes that is my issue and not the authors but still I like to enjoy historical books with correct historical detail. I also didn’t like that Fabian thought stealing with something cute and not something that is potentially harmful or hurtful to others. #HiddenGems, #KateSerzenta, #TimeWatchers,

I really enjoyed this mind warping, time travel book. It follows the stories of two main protagonists Fabienne and Emily, from two different centuries, who have the ability to time travel.
From the American civil war, to the respectable and seemingly peaceful town of Hartford, Connecticut, to modern day Savannah.
The Watchers keep all of time travel regulated, but there’s always a bad apple.
The laws of this time travel are quite unique from others I’ve read, so I really enjoyed getting caught up in its intricacies and magic. I thought all the characters were well written.
I first read book 3 in the series as an ARC, which I enjoyed and wanted to read more. Apart from a confusing start for book 1 (for me), I found it to be even more enjoyable, mature and intense.
They were quite different in styles which made me wonder if they were written by the same person.
Maybe just an artist evolving.

She has been shot after she tries to escape the war and she is bleeding badly. She has a watch which she messes about with it and more issues will arrive. Years later the watch will reappear and their lives will be changed. What is going to happen? How will it all go? See how it will all go

A love story in time
Excellent characters and a devious plot line make this time travel story much more than the usual sci-fi meander. It avoids most of the twists and conundra inherent in time travel, while having its own set of rules that constrict the characters. Very good, recommended.

I read this for the romance, but it reads better as time travel adventure. Not enough spice for me, but I do appreciate that everything romantic was between a married couple ( even if Fabianne cannot remember marrying Brayden.
Good author. I will be reading the rest of her books.

Time travel, romance, mystery, and shadowy secret organizations! Time Watcher has it all. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and there are plenty of twists and turns to leave you guessing until the very end how it will all work out. I can't wait to read the next installment of this series.

This is such a great read. I love the characters. Fabienne draws you in. The relationship between her and Brayden is unique. It's chaotic! I have never been a fan of time travel novels but this one got my attention. i couldn't wait to see what happened next

Pretty decent writing. Wasn't crazy about the time flips. I got a little turned around with those but all in all a good book.

Great book. Time travel centuries apart but well presented. on the second book now.
