💻If you need a book that makes you think in brand new ways, carefully analyze everything you see/hear on media and look at global events from a curious perspective, you’ll adore this book.
💻The Plot: “Le Crépuscule des Fauves” is book two in “9” series. As well as the first one - “C'est arrivé la Nuit” – in this novel keeps we are following nine people who lead a double life. On the one hand, they seem like ordinary people with typical jobs; on the other hand, they are members of Group 9 - unusual hackers who do their best to restore justice, lend a hand to those who suffer most, and strive to make this world a better place. While modern ‘Robins Hood’ dole out justice, one of them is missing. So, there are more questions they have to answer, more dangers they have to face, more secrets they are about to reveal.
💻The Writing Style: It’s one of the most cleverly written books I’ve recently read. Besides a virtual excursion worldwide (London, Istanbul, Kyiv, Berlin, and other cities), many intense and unexpected twists made my heart galloping. I genuinely enjoyed a well-thought-out and captivating plot with cute lyrical notes. This incredibly witty page-turner held my attention from cover to cover and left a deep aftertaste that I’m about to savor till the end of the month. I intentionally won’t start another book because it will fade a bit compared to “Le Crépuscule des Fauves,” no matter how beautiful it can be.
💻The Characters: There are many leading and minor characters. Meanwhile, the author created them all perfectly in all aspects. Describing their charming habits, inner tortures, philosophical musings, slightest features, most nuanced expressions of their faces, and dangerous racing through hackers' lives made me emotionally connected to all of them.
💙My Favorite Quote: “Les histoires qui ne sont pas encore écrites sont pleines de merveilleuses promesses” (“The stories that haven’t been written yet are full of wonderful promises”) (my version of translation)
💙Would I read other books by this author: Can’t wait to read the third volume!
⭐️My humble rating is: 5/5
