Pit I’m not a nice guy. My role in The Chaos Demons MC requires someone who is heartless, cold, and can get the job done. I fit the role well, which is why I spend most of my time out on the road, cleaning up for the club. What was meant to be an easy job turns into so much more when I’m instructed to take a witness. I don’t care that she’s a woman, or that she’s terrified. No loose ends, that’s my motto. And Tessa Dean is a loose end.
Tessa It started when I married a stranger, which I should have guessed would end in disaster. Wrong place, wrong time. And now, I’m in the middle of nowhere with a crazy biker and no idea where my new husband is. But until he faces the club, my life hangs in the balance. Or at least in the hands of Pit. By the time they reach a deal, I’m dangerously close to falling for the dog-loving psycho.
Will Tessa convince Pit to save her before he ruins her?
Nicola Jane, a native of Nottinghamshire, England, has always harboured a deep passion for literature.
From her formative years, she found solace and excitement within the pages of books, often allowing her imagination to roam freely. As a teenager, she would weave her own narratives through short stories, a practice that ignited her creative spirit.
After a hiatus, Nicola returned to writing as a means to liberate the stories swirling within her mind. It wasn't until approximately five years ago that she summoned the courage to share her work with the world.
Since then, Nicola has dedicated herself tirelessly to crafting poignant, drama-infused romance tales. Her stories are imbued with a sense of realism, tackling challenging themes with a deft touch.
Outside of her literary pursuits, Nicola finds joy in the company of her husband and two teenage children. They share moments of laughter and bonding that enrich her life beyond the realm of words.
Nicola Jane has many books from motorcycle romance to mafia romance, all can be found on Amazon and in Kindle Unlimited.
Pit is the club’s roaming muscle/killer. He kills a lot. Tessa is an emotionally damaged train wreck with horrible judgement. They fall for each other, even though Pit and his club hold her captive, threaten to kill her, blackmail her, etc. Okay, I’m remarkably still rooting for them.
The part I couldn’t get over and why I couldn’t rate it higher was this scene, after Tessa returns to her “husband” who paid for a virgin bride. 🙄
I just lost all respect for Pit and his brothers after that. Pit was remorseful but it was mainly glossed over. A doctor looking her over was mentioned in passing. Luna telling her the trauma would fade in time and that was that.
The hero could have prevented what happened to the heroine but he didn’t. Neither does he suffer any consequences for his actions. That’s okay I guess since the heroine got over what happened pretty quick that she didn’t think it was a big deal.
When I say e.optional they really do not know one another. Oh my goodness the was Pit treated her. I'm not sure if I could have forgiven. Just wish they took the time to play 50 questions or something.
I might have to stop reading this author. Her books are either amazing, or the absolute worst for me.
Pit (MMC) and other MC Brothers basically break into a warehouse to find out some of their merchandise has been stolen. There’s a single guy with the crates and Pit murders him. There’s a woman hiding in the back, Tessa (FMC) who they drag out and threaten to kill. She lies about who she is, she lies about why she’s there, ect. They can't let her go though because she witnessed a murder.
Basically, Pit gets put in charge of Tessa at a remote house (his) until they can get answers from her. Pit threatens to kill her basically every single day while Tessa for no reason just keeps lying and protecting a man we learn is her husband instead of protecting herself. It comes out that Tessa is very poor, was an orphan at one point I think (her dad beat her mom to death) and finally decided to sell her virginity on a dating site. She only met her husband Axel ONCE before she married him in exchange for $5,000 (which she never actually got) and thinks they were supposed to fly to Dubai for their honeymoon but he had to work first which is why she was in the ware house. She is literally too stupid to live at this point.
Pit meanwhile is attracted to Tessa but does not want to be so he’s mean, then nice, then mean, then nice. Then throws club whores in her face, then when she gets jealous, he makes out with her instead. He keeps telling everyone he doesn’t like her, has no feelings for her and can’t wait until she’s dead so he can get back to the road. (He’s the club’s nomad essentially). Tessa and Pit end up talking, almost becoming friends and are obviously attracted to each other. She tells him that she was bullied badly growing up and is scared of the dark and why.
Pit and Tessa basically end up having an affair with everything BUT sex because the club decides since they can’t find her husband Axel, they’ll work with him (even though he stole from them?) and give him back his virgin wife. Even though the other MC members LOVE their wives, they still seem to give a shit less about women and think it’d be easier if they just murdered Tessa and moved on with their lives.
BY THE WAY, THERE WERE NO TRIGGER WARNINGS FOR THIS SO WARNING AHEAD.
It all comes to a head when Pit and Tessa finally give in and have sex. Tessa gets up and leaves and tells the MC Prez she’s ready to leave (to save Pit’s life? Or some shit?). Grizz trades her back to her husband to make sure their deal for drugs and guns goes through. Even better when they’re leaving, they watch Tessa’s husband Axel punch her in the face with a fist and decide to “just leave her there until tomorrow.” The good ole, “she’ll be fine and survive the night.”
We then get to read a GRAPHIC rape scene with at least 3 men while she’s also being beaten almost to death. Her husband rapes her, he has another guy rape her, then his brother (her childhood bully/stalker) comes in and says it was all a set up then he rapes her. For hours. The husband even jokes that it’s been what? 7 or 8 times in the same night?
Eventually the next day, Pit and the MC guys come back and walk in on her getting raped again. They kill the guys and Pit takes Tessa home. A doctor looks at her, while another wife (who apparently was raped before) basically tells her “you’ll get over it eventually.”
Pit then leaves Tessa and goes on a murder spree killing everyone in Tessa’s past. Her father, her other bullies and basically anyone he thinks did her wrong. He also sets up for Tessa to get a job, get watched over by the club. He ignores her but she texts him constantly. Until one night she goes out to a bar trying to be normal and a guy hugs her and Pit gets sent a picture. Pit shows back up, claims Tessa and tells her he killed her father.
Then Pit and Tessa get a happily ever after. I guess.

What is it about Nicola’s men that just drive me nuts? I have no clue, but I love it. Pit and Tessa’s story was very good. They meet in a “wrong place at the wrong time”. Pit of course made me so mad with how he treated Tessa. Pit has to play babysitter to Tessa and that makes him so unhappy. He likes being on the road and now he is stuck here. The way Pit was with Tessa made me want to shake him, okay more than shake. She is not used to the MC lifestyle and she is also very naive, innocent, shy, and quiet. A lot of that stems from how she grew up, which wasn’t good at all. While Pit is babysitting her, they grow closer and find out more about each other. Pit knows it can’t last. He loves the road and thinks Tessa deserves better than him. What happens during their time together and what happens when their time together comes to an end? You’ll have to read to find out. You won’t regret it.
I cried alot while reading this. It's pretty well written. The beginning is rough bc he hasn't fallen for her yet and he isn't really a nice guy but he quickly changes his tune. My issue is also the parting theme of the book which is the club always comes first. It's true in all biker books but in this one it's true even if the club knows the person you love is being assaulted and your president says you have to wait until the next day to save her, all to not blow a business deal. Then when she's rescued, he feels sorry for all the crappy things he did to her but he never mentions feeling responsible for her SA by multiple people. He could have saved her that night. He's not sorry, the clubs not sorry. It really ruined it for me. Could have been 5 stars but sadly in the end I was unable to let that go.
I can't read this series anymore. why? they are utter misogynists, they hate women and are really callus. It's not romantic. It's not pleasurable to read. they're pieces of shit. lowlife scallies as we'd say in the uk.
theres very few biker books that turn me off, disgusted me, but this series is horrid. The only one where the h treated the fmc remotely nicely is the last one.
unlike other bikers they're not protective of the women, even their own club women, they're happy for them to be left to be beaten, raped, gang raped, abused under the guise its not their business. I said in book one that this is a bit too realistic, and it is. It's not my cup of tea.
I just dont understand what the author is trying to achieve.
essa’s situation started badly — married to a stranger, in the wrong place at the worst time — and now she’s stuck in the middle of nowhere with a biker who seems more psycho than protector. But beneath Pit’s hardened exterior is a man whose heart might just soften for the right woman… even if he’d never admit it.
This instalment offers sexier scenes and club‑world danger, wrapped in the slow burn of two very different people learning to trust and want more than survival. It’s a solid follow‑up for fans of MC romance who enjoy tough guys with surprising softness and emotional conflict mixed with steamy chemistry.
◘ Romance ◘ Captive ◘ dark ◘ Motocycle club ◘ Enemies to lovers
I love the way Nicola can make me dislike a character in the beginning and adore them by the end of the book, I thought Pit was the Pits , I understood he was doing what an enforcer does and saving his own butt too by wanting to ‘deal’ With Tessa though. What that girl goes through is awful, from child neglect, bullied. Then married a stranger for the security of marriage only to witness something that puts her in the club’s crosshairs. As usual Nicola spins a tale that has you from first page to last.
A thrilling ride with intense emotions and unexpected twists! Pit and Griz are on a mission to retrieve their stolen goods, but things get complicated when they cross paths with Tessa, who is caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. As tensions rise, Pit is forced to make difficult choices, especially when it comes to Tessa. A great addition to the Chaos Demons MC series with well-drawn characters and gripping drama!
Book four in The Chaos Demons MC series. When the club merchandise gets stole they are on a mission to kill anybody who was in the plan. They find Tessa. She sold her v card to the highest bidder. She lies to the club to save her life. Pit gets the job to find answers with Tessa. Hate and love with these two. When it’s all over they walk away from each other. She goes out to start a new life but pit comes and claim her.
Tessa and Pits story will have you hooked, Pit's tasked with watching over Tessa when she witnesses something she shouldn't all whilst waiting her new fiance to come. But soon things change between them, the danger still lurks but will Pit be able to let her go? Well written engaging dark themes desires drama, action and more!
Absolutely loved this book! This book will keep you on the edge of your seats. Tessa was in the wrong place at the wrong time and saw something she wasn't supposed to so it was pit's job to take her and hid her. Pit is a soulless man ond does the dirty work for the chaos demons Mc but Tessa challenges him. Will Tessa bring light to his dark soul?
Watch out, Axel, theres a new Book Boyfriend in town! Each Chaos Demons MC book gets better & better! I love the characters Nicola Jane has created & can't get enough! Kidnapping Tessa was the only option for Pit & their story just makes you love them!
Ohhh pit pit pit 🥵🥵🥵. I did not think I would like pit but in the end I love him 😍 I was hooked from the min I started. Let me tell you that you won’t be disappointed it is soo good. As always Nicola did an amazing job. Her books 📚 get better every time. I won’t say much about the book only that you need to read it. As always defo worth more than 5 stars ⭐️.
I enjoyed the story, it does lean a little dark so if you're triggered by things go cautiously. I really liked the hero, it seemed he was supposed to be unlikable at the start, but i do love a reluctant hero.
Talk about emotionally hijacking my feelings! Pit and Tessa had a very rough start. In fact she was his captive and his intent was to unalive her! I thoroughly enjoyed the push and pull of these two and the changes they start to make with each other. He starts to become very possessive and jealous, and protective. This MC feels like a family, and with each new couple added and the world expanding I get more excited to find out how much more I'll love them all!
Another good NJ MC read. Pit has a bit of everything, and he himself is surly and arrogant and a little SOB. But the way he crumbles to Tessa you can feel the tension between the two and the fall.
What an amazing story. When given the go ahead Pit is the guy who ends anyone who brings harm to his club. Tessa is looking for security and ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time. These two have a fire burning between then, but given the situation they are in the dance around each other. I loved the stolen moments when they share pieces of themselves with on another. His brothers see what's happening, buPit is stubborn he unknowingly puts Te in danger. Does he get to her before damage is done, will he finally admit he can't be without her. Want to know these answers and so much more read their story to find out because you will not be disappointed if you do.
This is a great series so far. Tessa and Luna broke my heart. They deserved a better family then their born into family. Glad they got the happy ending.
At first I wasn’t sure about Pit he had no redeeming qualities but as the book went on and him and Tessa go to know each other the story really kicks in and from that point on I couldn’t put it down. This book kinda has it all it’s gritty in places with dark themes but has quirky 1 liner’s that lighten the mood . I always find with Nicola’s book there’s always a character I want to punch and Axel was that character in this book but even he came good in the end Totally recommend this series
Nicola has written another fantastic book in her Chaos Demons world. Pit is a nomad enforcer for his club. When he crosses paths with naïve Tessa his world turns upside down. As usual Nicola brings all the drama and chaos we’ve come to expect from her. Fantastic addition to the series.
Pit and Tessa meet in a very unconventional way but I guess being in a Motocycle club it's to be expected every now and then. But I loved their connection and I loved that Tessa gave it back to him and she didn't just sit there and take it. Tessa had an absolutely awful backstory which just made me love her all that much more. What she went through when she got back with her husband was just heartbreaking. But Nicola writes some great biker books and I absolutely love this series!!
