If you are like me and don’t always have your ducks in a row, or maybe you think you do but one of those little bastards wanders away, then this illustrated, quick read is for you!

Sometimes we just need a reminder about chilling out and focusing on what’s important and we don’t need a Karen to tell us what we're doing wrong. Thus, Duck Yeah!, the genius problem solver. Not only does it offer invaluable help, but you also have the benefit of the cute illustrations. They are ducking good! So read it. Enjoy it. And you too will have a damn good duck day!

Thanks to Hidden Gems for a beautiful copy of this instant classic, I’m sure. My honest love (duck) for this book is freely and happily given.

Duck YEAH! is the illustrated pep talk you didn’t know your adult self needed. Don’t let the playful duck on the cover fool you... this little book packs a powerful punch. It’s a short, colorful, and surprisingly deep reflection on willpower, self-sabotage, and that voice in your head that keeps telling you “maybe later” when you know you need to act now.

Told through the metaphor of a duck who’s had enough of excuses, the story is both charming and convicting. The visuals are fun and engaging, making it feel like a children’s book, but the message? Fully grown-up. It tackles the emotional rollercoaster of trying to stay disciplined in a world full of distractions, temptation, and self-doubt.

What makes Duck YEAH! stand out is its honesty. It doesn’t try to overcomplicate the psychology of willpower. Instead, it delivers truth with humor and heart. You'll laugh, nod in uncomfortable agreement, and probably finish the last page thinking, “Okay fine—I will go do that thing I’ve been avoiding.”

Perfect for anyone needing a motivational boost, especially those who love unconventional approaches to personal development. If you’ve been procrastinating, stuck in a funk, or just need a swift (but loving) kick in the tail feathers... Duck YEAH! is your book.

Final Thoughts:
It’s silly. It’s serious. It’s straight-up soul fuel. Duck yeah, I recommend it.

📕 Title: Duck Yeah! An Illustrated Story for Adults on Willpower
📑 Pages: 36
👵Genre: Humor/Satire
⭐️ Rating: 4 stars

This book was a quick, light read. It looks like a children’s book at first glance. It has really cute illustrations, and even told in a childish way. Using analogies at first but then turns to swearing.
All in all this book is good. Talks about the power of willpower. Uses swearing to appeal to adults. The last few pages are heavier/longer text.
Read this when you’re having a bad day or when you just don’t want to give a…. Well you know 😃

Not knowing what to expect I loved this! It starts similar as a children's book. Great illustrations & story line about doing.

Then the fun begins! I am a caregiver for my parents. I am tired. There is only so much a person can take, do, or care about in a day. We pick & choose. We try to save energy, brain power, the will to (fill in the blank). Pete Williams took that in an easy to read, fun to enjoy format. We only have so many sh*ts & f*cks to give before we are burnt out. Use them wisely! Perfectly said, Pete!

Duck Yeah, an illustrated book for adults about Will power by Pete Williams, This is a fun and witty book it is only 800 words but it is long enough to explain how we only have so many ducks a day and how we shouldn’t exspend them all because we never know when will need to give a duck, because sh.t happens to everyone. This book would be such a big hit at the conventions I’ve been to and think it would be something everyone would be talking about it so witty and although a lot of it is common sense most inspirational and self-help books are. #HiddenGems, #PeteWilliams, #DuckYeah,

Humorous, thought provoking book

Received the book for a voluntary and honest ARC review.

This book is short, humorous, and not for everyone. If you don't cuss or like seeing four letter words in a book, this book is not for you.

If you need away to make through the day, then this book is for you. Good points made through three ducks.

The book is funny and makes sense. I enjoyed the book.

Duck YEAH!: An Illustrated Story for Adults on Willpower by Pete Williams is a fun book about life. I enjoyed the picture book in the first part of the book. The second half of the book of the book was adults only due to the swearing. It is definately a pick me up kind of book.

I received a free copy of this book via Hidden Gems Books and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I didn't really understand this book. I get that it's an illustrated book for adults, but nothing about it held my attention. Overall, the book seems like an excuse to use the words "sh*t" and "fu*k". And, if those words offend you, I recommend you don't read this book.

I received this book in exchange for my review from Hidden Gems ARC. It was a funny and cute little book for adults about willpower. If cursing is something you don't enjoy, I would skip this book. Otherwise it is a nice fun little pick me up. Highly Recommend!

It took the idea of the spoon theory, but tried to make it more appealing by using swearing. The picture book portion was cute and could have been any generic picture book about ducks. It didn't really do anything or explain anything. The text heavy section at the end admits that the book is just explaining spoon theory, but pretending it is a new theory. It is spoon theory, but with swearing and ducks.
