Blake Fields is keeping it together, he swears. The dead-end job, tiny apartment, and nonexistent food budget are all fine so long as he can afford his mother's hospital bills. I love this genre, MM werewolf romance, so I really wanted to like this more than I did.
It upsets me, when characters lack not only self-respect, but respect for each other. The MC never stood up against his family in honor of his boyfriend, and yes, there was cute humour and lewd jokes to make it less serious. Still. The two MCs were kind of pawns in their own story, always doing what is expected by their moms, makes it weird when MC1 tells MC2 how unapologeticly himself he always is. Nope, he is not. They both roll over to others. Maybe their age was not on point, they acted a lot younger? People at 24 should have a personality and will of their own.
Things I liked: the regency mood overlaced with android tech is a new idea I haven't seen before, and the main character was cute, I rooted for him til the end. Also, in general I liked that the story didn't try to be too serious, low stakes romance despite the global powerdynamics.

Freakin gorgeous cover. The story had it’s hiccups, but it was quite enjoyable overall.
