Grosse Pointe 2: The Grosse Pointer
Nan Elizondo has the nosiest nose in Grosse Pointe. A reporter for the Detroit News, she seems to know everything that goes on in the small, suburban Grosse Pointe communities. And her sudden interest in successful dentist Justin Jennings has come at exactly the wrong time.
Justin’s business partner, Clint Foster, has embezzled two million dollars from their dental practice and disappeared. The message he left on Justin’s voice mail claims his life is in danger. Now Justin is receiving threatening calls from someone looking for Clint, and demanding repayment of his gambling debts. The last thing Justin needs is Nan sticking her nose into a matter that could put both their lives at risk.
Nan, however, is determined to uncover the mystery of the notably absent Clint. Her investigation brings her closer to Justin, tempting her to give in to the attraction that’s always sizzled between them.
Clint’s disappearance isn’t the only breaking news in Grosse Pointe, though. Teenagers in the community have been dying of fentanyl overdoses, and Nan is determined to find the person responsible for pushing the drugs around town. And the deeper Nan digs into that story, the more it appears connected to Clint Foster and his gambling debts.
Can Nan expose the monster dealing deadly drugs to young people? Can Justin find Clint and the stolen money? And will their search for answers bring them to an unlucky end? If they can each let their guard down enough to trust the other, they may survive and find their way to a happily-ever-after.
