Three and a half stars for the beautiful and enthralling art by Palacios, because this retelling of the legend of Spanish hero Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, El Cid, wasn't all that could've been with a better script. Besides, the bit of supernatural content that was added didn't go well with a story that was set to be realistic and as true to medieval Castile as possible.
