Lakeshore Love #2

Breaking All The Rules

Rate this book
Three hearts. No rules. Until love rewrites everything.

Art gallery owner Kenzie Miller is a free spirit who doesn’t believe in making choices, especially when she finds herself caught between Jake Hudson, a charming marketing pro with emotional baggage, and Trevor Armstrong, a hotshot hockey star with no time for a relationship.

None of them wants commitment. They make a deal: keep it casual, fun, and most importantly, no one falls in love...but feelings don’t follow the rules.

As Jake and Trevor compete for Kenzie’s attention, a surprising friendship forms between them, and so does an undeniable attraction. Meanwhile, Hayley King, a bold and brilliant painter, lights a fire in Kenzie that she never saw coming. What starts as a carefree connection quickly unravels into tangled emotions, unexpected desire, and life-changing decisions.

Where do i even begin with this book?!
Honestly, I have fallen in love with this story since the beginning. Though i know nothing of hockey (so sorry!), there was just something about the first book that captured me and left me wanting more. When i tell you this book did not disappoint!

Let me start off by saying, I have watched Ashley work so hard on this book in her lives on Tik tok. She honestly is so passionate and meticulate about what she does and it shows in this second book. This story really entertwined with the first, allowing us to see things from a different perspective while still getting that same feeling of love like the first book. The difference is that it still offered you so much more than a second pov. It offered confusion, love, acceptance, understanding, creativity, found family, friendships and so much more. It was so beautifully done. The spice was also spicing and i loved every minute of it!

I want to also say that i fully connected with kenzie. Being an artist myself and closed off to relationships when you find the one you just know. Going from male relationships to female ones was a large jump for me but something about it all just felt right and i can see that moment come to life for kenzie in this book. Hopefully one day i can say i found my hayley like she did!

Overall this book was fantastic and i cannot wait to read more and see what happens next!

Breaking All The Rules is the perfect name for this book. It’s all about discovering who and what you want out of a relationship and your life. It features Kenzie, Jake and Trevor all three don’t believe in commitment and this story takes you on a wave of emotions as they all discover what they need in their personal lives. It contains the perfect amount of spice and the scenes were beautifully written. I would highly recommend reading Stars In Her Eyes first as we meet most of the characters in that book and the timeline and events are the same which I loved reading about the main characters point of views in Breaking All The Rules. I thoroughly enjoyed both books and I cannot wait for the next two books in this series. I received a complementary copy from the author.

LOVE!!! I was one of the first ARC readers for Ashley’s series & I am so proud of her! I don’t even know where to begin with this book. I told her I wanted a book 2 & she did not disappoint.

I love her dual POV writing style and that I am able to feel Kenzie’s emotions as she battles with which way to go…iykyk…no spoilers here!!! As far as Trevor goes…let’s just say-she definitely caught me off guard with that one. Again, no spoilers here!

If you are looking for a spicy, I mean REALLY spicy romance book….this is the series for you.

Cannot wait for Book 3!

Ashley Snyder is an author that needs to be on your list.

I have been incredibly lucky to read both of her books in the Lakeshore Love series, but "Breaking All the Rules" is by far my favorite between the two. Ashley has this skill, along with her writing abilities, that honestly takes my breath away. She really transports you into the story and shows her storylines from different perspectives, allowing you to gain a deeper understanding of her characters and all that they do/feel/think. The throuple aspect of the book was *chef's kiss* and led to some of the best throuple spice I read in a WHILE. Overall, I really enjoyed Kenzie's, Jake's and Trevor's storyline and will be continuing the series as she continues writing it.
10/10 recommend!
