I thought my nightmare was over. I was dead wrong.

I was sure I did the right thing by trying to take the relic dagger from Nathan Black, but it turns out, I was walking right into his trap for my friend Evelyn. Now Nathan’s gone, but he used the dagger to mark my skin before Rowan defeated him as alpha.

Even though I’m home safe, the wound won’t heal, and my life is unraveling.

Now, I’m being hunted by Kael, a deadly mercenary with orders to finish what the dagger started. He’s cold, ruthless, and the last person I need in my life. But when he corners me, ready to strike, something unexpected happens—he hesitates.

Kael isn’t just any enemy. He’s my fated mate.

But instead of salvation, this bond feels like a curse. Kael’s mission is to end my life. He believes the bond we feel is being caused by the dagger, and if we can sever the bond between my blood and the relic, both of us can go our separate ways.

I hope to gods he’s right.

Because even though I begin to crave him, body and soul, I can’t have a rogue wolf as my mate.

SOUL FATED 3.5
THIS ONE IS A COMPLEX ONE TO REVIEW- so the author and the writing style I love- however I just feel that this book was almost rushed, I wish there was more depth to add to the characters and world building, and a little more information/details about the shifters and their world/lore.

I loved book 1, and without that stupid cabin scene, it would have been a 5* for me, but..., in a way I enjoyed book 2 more than book 1 because there was a steady plot with more details than the first but i found this one started a lit slower and i really missed our main characters from book one. I found that the main couple struggled more with their fated mates reveal than the couple in book 1, which really helped bring this story out and get me to feel for the characters more. We also got to know one of the side characters, Lana, but she is one of the characters I wish we were given more details for as I had questions right from the start- I presume the next book will be all about her therfore answering said questions but it could have only helped the story to fill it out more.

For me, these books are a little bit of light-hearted, lovey sweet reads. They are simple shifter novels with no real pack history or lore or real background, so if you are new to shifters or you want a simple shifter series, then this is a great place to start. There's no background on anyones upbringing or family/pack history. There's nothing on the rules or hierarchy, no details on how the wolves existance differs from humans beyond the obvious shifting and mating.

Final thoughts
The story of book 2 was better than book 1, but I preferred the leval of attention that was given to book 1 over this one... but both enjoyable reads.

I'm starting book 3 in a few minutes, so I'll see you here again soon. (These books are like pringles....) Let's see what lana brings, shall we!

A great addition to the series

I loved the first book, it was easy to get into and a fast faced read and this one was no different.

We follow on from book 1 and the after effects that the FMC Callista is struggling with having fallen into some secret long forgotten curse. She doesn’t know what she can do to get over her ‘sickness’ but she’s also too afraid to ask for help incase there isn’t any help they can give her.

In comes the MMC Kael, his task is to ‘take out’ the mark…. Which happens to be the FMC. He’s a hired hitman and when the magic takes him to his mark he isn’t thinking of anything other than his mission, until his mission pivots drastically from taking a life to saving one. Even if he’s too afraid to admit the real reason he can’t hurt her is because she’s his mate.

He was rejected from his pack as a child due to his physical appearance, after a lifetime alone can he really have been presented with a mate? A gift? Someone who could see the real him and not judge him for something he was born with?

This was a great book, apart from a small couple of typo’s at the end this book was well written, the characters are easy to quickly fall into their stories. This is a great series and I’m about to dive into book 3.

Moon Fated is the second book in the Shadow Pack Legends series by Luna M. Rose. It picks up where the previous book left off, with the story of Callista as she grapples with the traumatic events she endured in the first book.

The story takes an intriguing turn when Kael, a rogue wolf, is dispatched by the enigmatic Alliance to assassinate Callista, picking up the mission that Nathan Blake was unable to complete. However, Kael's objective becomes infinitely more complicated upon the startling revelation that Callista is his fated mate. As their paths intertwine, the mystery surrounding a powerful blade continues to deepen, adding further intrigue to the plot.

While certain elements of the story are richly developed and vividly portrayed, other aspects feel underdeveloped or implausible, such as a grown woman riding on the back of a three-legged wolf. Without establishing that the wolves in this universe are of an extraordinary size, this detail strains credulity and pulls the reader out of the otherwise immersive narrative.

Despite these occasional inconsistencies, Moon Fated delivers an engaging continuation of the series, leaving fans eager to unravel the remaining mysteries and follow the characters' journeys in future instalments.

Good book!
This is a wonderful sequel to the first and I loved the struggle in the between the two mcs! The actual meeting of the two and the “oh sh-t I don’t want to” was chefs kiss! There were a couple inconsistencies I noticed. In the beginning and throughout the middle of the story it’s pointed out multiple times that the mli only has one arm curtosey of a tragic event. But towards the end (no spoilers) it mentions the fli being wrapped up in his arms, as in plural, two arms. Then during the epilogue, the dialog makes it seem like he has one normal arm and one deformed by birth. There’s another inconsistency that I can get into without spoilers. Basically it was “X is the only way” then “oh no it’s not X because Y” and the epilog it’s “yeah Y but actually X because of Z”. You’ll know what I’m saying when you read it. All in all it’s a good story but minor inconsistencies made me have to reread a few places because my brain got stuck on the “wait it said X before now it’s Y? And now Y isn’t true so it’s Z?” I can’t wait for the next two and glad I found this series after it’s completed because I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS!!!

"Soul Fated" by Luna M. Rose was a captivating read that kept me hooked from beginning to end. I was immediately drawn into Callie's world and invested in her journey. Rose does a fantastic job of creating a complex and relatable character in Callie, and I felt her struggles and triumphs as if they were my own. The story is full of twists and turns, keeping the suspense high and the pages turning. Beyond the engaging plot, I appreciated the emotional depth of the story. The relationships between the characters felt genuine, particularly the complex dynamic between Callie and Kael. Their connection crackles with tension, an undeniable pull that simmers beneath the surface. This underlying connection adds another layer of intrigue and kept me guessing about their future. The romantic subplot, including the push and pull with Kael, added a delicious touch of heat. "Soul Fated" is an emotionally resonant story that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a book that will grab them and not let go.

I would give this one a solid 3.5 rating. I enjoyed book 2 more than book 1. I found that the main couple struggled a little more with their fated mates connection and that added a little more of the dimension to the characters that I had been hoping for in book 1. We also got to actually get to know one of our side characters, Lana, more in this book. Allowing her to play a more active role and become a more full fledged character. I do wish there had been a little more of that depth to add to the characters, and a little more information about the shifters themselves and some more action advancing the plot. For me, these books are a little slow. I am 2 books into the series and still don't feel like I have a decent grasp of the shifters world and how their upbringing/existance differs from humans beyond the obvious shifting, and really still just in the beginnings of the overall relic/shadow pack plot. I did love Lana as a character and honestly had kinda been wishing for a little sapphic romance or a little love triangle. The mystery of the relics and shadow pack, and now my interest in Lana is absolutely enough to have me wanting to read book 3.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. We met Callie in the previous book at Evelyn's BFF who went missing. She ended up getting hurt by thr cursed dagger and weeks later the wound still festers. Callie is having nightmares and feels like she is being pulled in all directions. We meet Kael, a rogue wolf who is working for thr Alliance in order to save a friend. He needs to clean up Nathan's mess. What he didn't count on was a beautiful woman to be at the end of thr mess. The dagger wants blood and it's thr only way to cure Callie of thr curse. What is surprising is that when Lana holds the dagger Callie isn't in pain. An old friend of Karl's, Bill, tells them of thr legends of thr Shadow Pack and how the relics came to be and Bill figures out Lana is a descendent of Shadow Pack. Things are not going according to plan...will Callie be cured of her curse? Will Kael defect from the Alliance?

Fabulous follow-up to the premiere book in this series, Moon Fated. Calista is dealing with the effects of having been bleed by the evil dagar, something she is hesitant to reveal to anyone (even Evelyn). Meanwhile, Kael has been charged to kill and return the dagar to the Alliance. When he realizes he's Fated to the target everything changes. Suddenly they are thrown into a race to get to the pools. Lana, Black Lake's beta becomes a primary figure as the story unfolds in the quest to help Calista and somehow contain the danger the dagar wields (or thrives on). This story will have you glued to its pages and greedily absorbing the story. Be ware... it ends in a HFN, as the danger and mystery continue in Wild Fated.

I received a gift copy of this book and voluntarily provided this review. While i highly recommend readingbit, please read Moon Fated first for necessary background information. Happy Reading Y'all 📚

⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’d give Soul Fated a solid 3-star rating. The story builds on the events of the previous book, bringing Callie into the spotlight as she struggles with the cursed dagger’s lingering effects. Her nightmares and internal conflict add an interesting layer, and the introduction of Kael, a rogue wolf working with the Alliance, adds some tension and intrigue. Their connection, along with the mystery surrounding the dagger and the Shadow Pack, kept me engaged.

That said, the pacing felt uneven—certain parts dragged, while others rushed through key developments. I also wished for more depth in the world-building. While we do get some background on the Shadow Pack and relics through Bill, I still feel like I don’t fully understand the shifter world beyond the basics. However, the revelations about Lana’s lineage and her unexpected role in Callie’s fate were a highlight.

Overall, while I enjoyed the twists and character dynamics, I wanted more depth and a quicker-moving plot. The mystery is intriguing enough to keep me reading, but I’m hoping for more action and world-building in the next book!

It took me too long to get to this, the second book in the Shadow Pack Legends series by Luna M. Rose. I absolutely loved the first book, and this one was no different in how much I enjoyed it! Somewhere between a novella and novel, this book is the perfect length to work us through the next steps to figuring out what to do with this dagger! Callista and Kael are the next sprint through the story, with high speed chaos bringing them together, and a bond changing the trajectory of their lives.

Luna M. Rose and the packs have captured my heart, and attention, tripping over to book 3 next. Highly recommended for the plot, the ease in which we find ourselves engrossed in the story, and spice that gives just enough to make you want so much more.

I loved the first book in this series and this second book is no different.
It follows Callista from the first story and how she copes in the aftermath of her kidnapping and what happens when she meets Kael. This book showcased her emotions perfectly. It described what happened, but not in intricate detail so that it distressed the reader.
This book delved more into the history and why things were happening and how important their discoveries were.
The more they found out, then the more mysteries were uncovered. The main story arc for the series, is nowhere near solved and could go in any direction later in the series.
This is a thrilling read with a great conclusion..
I am really looking forward to finding out what happens next.

The plot thickens and the intrigue around the dagger deepens as no one knows what it is the capabilities thereof, except for it's murderous intent. Lana was cut by Nathan, the wound is festering and causing unexplainable urges and dark images. Kael, a loner and an assassin, is send to kill her, but seeing her the first time, he's unable to complete his assignment. Filled with mystery, emotional havoc, a calamity when Callista goes on heat, made it a book I could barely put down and the storyline is not yet wrapped up. Interesting characters and passionate encounters added to the build up. Books to be read in sequence. Book 3 awaits luckily.

Soul Fated, the second book in Luna Rose’s fated mates wolf shifter series, is an addictive enemies-to-lovers romance that’s every bit as captivating as the first. This installment follows Callista, picking up after her harrowing kidnapping and diving into the complex emotions she faces upon meeting Kael. Rose does a fantastic job of portraying Callista’s struggles and growth, making her journey deeply relatable and heartfelt.

The series continues to expand in rich and unexpected ways, with characters whose flaws and virtues alike make them impossible not to love. Watching these characters evolve, stumble, and win us over again and again has been a true highlight. Soul Fated kept me thoroughly entertained, and I’m excited to see where the story takes us next.

I love series that are interconnected but change characters, so the main plot is going on but you get to experience it along with other subplots along the way. This is one of those series, and I have really been enjoying the writing Luna M. Rose produces. I'm a huge fan after reading book 1 of this series, and book 2 is even better. I definitely cried more reading this book, and idk what it is about a book making me cry - but when it does, I usually love it more. The fact that it can bring about emotions like that is just a sign of good writing. Callista's story was heartbreaking, but I loved how Kael became obsessed. I can't wait to read the next book in this series to find out what happens next!

I loved how this book took places little after the first book. Getting to see what happened to Calista after being found. And believing in legends of the past. I didn’t see one thing coming in the book and was glad for that secret to come out. Can’t wait to see where Calista, Karl, and Lana end up next. It seems not wanting to be an alpha has made his pack of one grow to hopefully 3 in the next book.

Well paced story from one book to the next that makes you crave the next book.

Loved the story!!!! The suspense with the dagger, Callista’s wound and Kael!!! Wow what a whirl wind!!! I loved the build up of the relationship between Kael and Callista. Big bad boy fighting his feelings for his mate. I was surprised by Bill and wished we learned more about him. I was shocked by Lana’s reveal! I thought for sure her blood would satisfy the dagger. I was happy with the final decisions of Kael and Callista. I don’t want this series to end! I very much enjoy Luna’s writing and the stories she tells. I never thought I would enjoy shifter stories and so glad I decided to give it a try.

Soul Fated is the second book in the Shadow Pack Legends series. This story focuses on Calista and Kael. It is a standalone within an interconnected series and reading the books in order isn't required, but you'd get more out of the story if you did. I got the chance to read the first book, which I enjoyed, but I think I liked this book even more than the first. I'm a huge fan of enemies to lover trope and this one was a great example of it. The pacing was a bit slower than the first book, but I think it made the the couple's eventual union just that much more delicious. It was overall well written with characters that were engaging and likable. Overall, it was a good read.

This author is very quickly becoming my favorite author this is the second book and what is a series and this time it follows a different member of the pack and her fated mate. It still continues the same overarching story about the relics and the Black lake pack but continues with a different couple. Parts of it left my emotions raw. But once I started reading it was completely hard to stop. This whole series has been really great so far. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

After having read the first one just this week, I was really excited to be offered the second for free.

The is such a good series! I find it amusing that it takes place in Canada, as that seems to be really rare. I was so shocked to discover that the MMC was only born with one arm, and his pack didn't kill him right away! I imagine that would be unheard of in shifter society. Yet, even at this disadvantage, he is worried about saving everyone but himself and loves so unconditionally… I have to go see if the third book is already out!

For me, this one moved a bit slower through the plot line than the first book but it was just as enjoyable. Just when you think you’ve caught on and know what’s going on, you get thrown for a loop with another scenario. This one kept me on edge as the plot thickened and boy was it an emotional ride! The dagger holds more secrets than one can even begin to know or understand. A good read that’s for sure!

I was very interested in this book after B1. Still an easy quick read and while 2nd half was a strong 4 the beggining was a bit too slow for me with a bit of depression. Both main character was its low at the start or “talking about” being under the water so I also felt they grab me down. But once action is in motion it is a strong good adventure book with the right amount of steam.

Im interested in b3 still

Soul Fated picks up from where Moon Fated finished.
This is Callista's story and even though it is a powerful one, it was not my favorite.
Callista finds her mate and manages to overcome a lot, but she did not catch my interest.
On the other hand, the world building keeps happening and the story about the Shadow Pack continues.
I'm already in the third book and Lana's story looks more interesting.
We'll see.

Thank you @booksirens for the copy!

A fun, exciting story, the sequel, where Callista meets Kael. Kael is an alpha with one arm. And Callista is still badly injured and seems to be losing the battle. But Kael won't give up on her, because she has become his everything. He can't live without her anymore and he will do everything he can to protect her. Together with her other friends, they must do everything they can to prevent the curse of the knife.

This is book two in this shifter series - and yes, I enjoyed it somewhat better than the first book. Although, I will be honest in saying I felt this started slower, and thus was a bit more difficult to just fall into. However, I felt the characters were great, even though they were not as developed as I had hoped. This story was very well written and super enjoyable. I can't wait to see what book three holds!!

Always love the tortured soul that finds their HEA destiny. ^.^ This story had all you want in a story, great plot that flowed smoothly from the previous book, angst, romance, and struggle that all led to the HEA and great set up cliff hanger for the next book. Which I'm looking forward to reading next.

Side Note: Once again, beautiful cover art. You want art that will draw a reader in, and this did so with it's beautiful images and vivid colors.

This was a really lovely second book in the series and a really fun read overall. It followed Callista who we met in the first book and Kael. It was nice to see representation of disability in this book. Just like the first it was very easy to read. If you liked the first book you’ll likely like this one too.

I keep on underestimating this series. The second book was so beautifully written. It got me lost into their world and I didn't want to come out of it. I love how the author showed that a disability just makes you different rather than truly incapable. I hope the third book doesn't disappoint.
