Are we sure this is the author’s first dark romance…cause she KILLED IT. I personally love when a book is so twisted that the scenes make me literally start to squirm in my seat and this one definitely did just that. There is A LOT of tough/heavy/sensitive content in this book so please be mindful and check the authors list of content warnings before starting, but it was so good. I cannot wait to see what is coming next for Brynne and her reaper boys.

3.5 stars. This is this authors first dark romance book. I would say more erotic horror/thriller romance. This was very dark. Please check trigger warnings for this book. Bryne is the FMC who has been in the foster care system and is trying to get revenge on the people who abused her during that time! There are 4 men who are doing the same, I would consider Damon as the MMC but truly they all are a major part of the story. Matteo, Sawyer and Ryker are the other men. They are also trying to exact revenge on the abusers but also searching for HER! This an MMMMF why choose, serial unalivers, blood play, knife play, MM scenes, touch her and unalive! There were maybe too many people to keep track of when it came to who they were unaliving and I did get confused at times in that aspect. But overall a good book. This does end on cliffhanger.

Starting this book I went in blind.. I heard dark romance and snatched the opportunity to apply for an ARC. I am so thankful I did apply because the story and the characters had me hooked from the second I opened the book. Getting to know each character and their background was just as interested as the plot and the story line. I can say with 100% certainties that I will be purchasing the book so that I can add it to my collection. I also cannot wait to delve into the next book in the duology.
I have always been a fan of Alycia’s writing from her romance books so I was hoping it worked well with the darker side of romance and truthfully she hasnt missed her vocation in life. She’s unbelievably talented.
The story is told from multiple POVs and I think it works extremely well . Each character as a uniqueness about them and it works so well. throughout the book I have had a giggle, I have been shocked, in awe and I’ve found it incredibly spicy. If you haven’t already, then please go and preorder.

wowza, this was so dark and twisted, and that cliffhanger was just not what I was expecting. Loved Brynne, she is such a bad ass and deserves to get her revenge on those who hurt her. loved the guys they are each perfect for her. Ryker is my favorite of the guys.

This book is incredibly captivating and stands out as the finest! The profound connection between the characters is truly remarkable. Despite the raw nature of the storyline, the setting is portrayed perfectly. Every action taken has a purpose, as the characters are not mere strangers; their pasts are revisited, and those who have caused harm are dealt with. Each character has a troubled past, some more severe than others, evoking strong emotions in certain parts of the book. The narrative is rich in intensity throughout, making this book truly exceptional!

READ TRIGGER WARNINGS!
With that being said this was a DARK ROMANCE and it was dark. But it was good! The spice was right from the beginning so if you enjoy spice and dark this is definitely for you. For this being Alycia first dark romance it was good. I would say it was more on the murder horror side but definitely has the dark romance in it.
The characters are out to the same thing revenge.
This an MMMMF why choose, blood play, knife play, MM scenes, touch her and **!The multiple POV did get a bit much and confusing but it was good!

Ok first off … holy shit. I loved it . Matteo stole my heart from the get go🥵 i also loved Brynnes charachter development .. girl had been thru a lot and still ended up with a career. Her love for the Reaper boys was strong.
I felt myself holding my breath thru out the whole book… the ending 😮💨😭

This isn’t my first dark romance, but it’s the first of Alycia’s books that I’ve read, which also happens to be her first dark romance.
Being the first book of this duet, the story follows the FMC of Brynne and also the other POVS of the Reaper Boys (Damon, Ryker, Sawyer, Matteo) being serial k1llers in a plot of revenge and need.
The spice begins straight away but isn’t too overpowering in regard to the storyline, which I appreciate. It was action packed with a lot of raunchy scenes and also graphic scenes too, but when you read the trigger list it’s expected/you know what you’re in for down the line.
Personally at the beginning, having so many different POVs was a bit confusing, trying to learn/remember everyone and their stories/connections so quickly was a struggle but during the continuation of the book, it all makes sense.
Being so action packed this will always have your attention and I feel like the chapters are a great size if you only get small timeframes too read as well.
All in all, Congratulations to Alycia on a great debut into dark romance! I can’t wait to see what happens in the rest of the duet as I had a great time!

Number 1- this is dark.... like dark dark, made me question some things dark.
Number 2- the cliffhanger will sneak up on you and it will hhuurrrttt.... so be prepared.
Number 3- there is a lot of child $€x◇@l @b◇$€ discussed throughout the book, as well as pregnancy loss and fertility issues. Be prepared.
Number 4- you will have a favorite, and it is ok that your favorite is different than the next person's favorite because all of these characters are beautifully broken in their own ways.
Number 5- there isn't a ton of spice but what is here is intense..... be prepared.
Number 6- yes the formatting is weird at times and there are grammar/ punctuation mistakes so on. This is indie published, it happens. But if that is something that makes it difficult for you to read a book, know this can throw you off.

This is not the typical genre for Alycia, nor is it what I normally reach for when I read. I am glad that I went through was it, as the story did a great job at holding my attention. This is an action (and spice) packed story about people that were in foster care as children and it sheds light on the abuse that they faced. I did find it a bit confusing to figure out how everyone was connected for the first several chapters, but when I figured it out everything made sense. I like that it was written from multiple different POVs. The story ended on a cliffhanger, so now I will be anxiously waiting for the 2nd in the series. Definitely check the triggers before reading.

Loving Alycia Carosella’s dark era & I NEED more Reaper Boys!!! I was hooked from the first page. There’s romance, suspense, mystery and quite the kink. If dark romance is your genre try this book on for size!

I read this as an arc and while it’s not a literary master piece that’s not why we read dark romance lol this book was spicy, DARK and under 400 pages. This book is a dark why choose with an unhinged FMC serial unaliver in her villain era not plotting but EXECUTING her revenge on the men who hurt her and other girls. We have 4 badass MMCs the reaper boys who are contract unalivers. Check your triggers please while this book was good it has dark topics and graphic murder.

This one was different from Alycia, but I'm here for it. However, check trigger warnings, as it is a dark romance.
This story is written with multiple POVs; all the MCs are ridiculously unhinged. There was mystery, spice, romance and all other sorts of emotions bottled into this one. But forewarning, there is a major cliffhanger, so you may need to mentally prepare!
Exicted for Alycia to branch off into new genres and cannot wait to read more.

Um… I knew I was in trouble from the cop thing in the beginning. I was interested in the Ryker boys and was hoping there would be more plot. The pacing and focus of this book doesn’t match what I wanted to read. That beginning was really weird and that is how the rest is.
I probably would have liked her other books better since this is her first dark romance.

I enjoyed reading this book. The way they all had the same thing planned but Brynne beat them to one. Loved it. That cliffhanger.. I just about threw my kindle. I can not wait for the next book so I can know what is happening!!! This is Alycia's first dark romance and it was really really good!!!

Good premise and story, but there are so many errors (spelling, grammar, and just words that don’t fit the context) that it was incredibly frustrating. I can normally overlook these things, but there were just too many.

This was so good when I started reading it I was immediately hooked. It is hard to believe that this was the author’s first ever dark romance. The spice was very well written and I can’t wait to read the next one
