The Flintlocks have been on hiatus for a while, with no plans to return to the spotlight anytime soon—and it’s not just because Slip and Maddy aren’t ready to come back to LA. Their personal battles, health challenges, and recovery journeys are keeping them away, and honestly, that makes this story even more powerful.
What makes this book so special is how deeply these bandmates remain intertwined in each other’s lives. They’re more than just a band—they’re family. And as you dive into this story, you see them dive into one another’s lives with the same intensity they once gave their music.
Flint and Sutton are planning a life together, Cole and Ava are finally moving forward after so much heartache, and we get to celebrate some beautiful news with Lewis and Tia. Watching these men grow—not just as artists but as people—was deeply satisfying.
I’ve loved each of their journeys, and this book was the perfect way to reconnect with all of them. The direction their lives have taken felt both real and rewarding. Highly recommend this one if you’ve followed their stories—it’s a heartfelt, emotional, and ultimately uplifting read.

Great Ending to This Series

The Flintlocks are coming to an end with this book and it was extra special. I loved having everyone again and the rollercoaster ride of emotions made this book a big page turner.
To follow their lives yet again was amazing and I’m sure going to miss them all.

Lost Lyrics: An Emotional Rockstar Romance (The Flintlocks Series Book 5) by Tania Joyce is the final five-book Flintlock Rockstar Series book. All four couples tell their story about what happened after the end of their last tour when the depths of Slip’s addictions were revealed, as well as his marriage to Maddy, an A-lister actor whose show films in Canada. At the end of book 4, highlighting Slip and Maddy’s love story, Slip decides to leave the band and step away from the rocker scene of drinking and drug culture while he works on staying drug-free and sober. The year spent apart by each couple reveals the emotional journey they faced and how each made it through the time apart. Each bandmate needs music to survive and wants their band to continue, but that means Slip needs time to heal and work on his marriage with Maddy. Sutton wants to get married to Flint and has been hinting at an engagement ring for quite some time. If he pops the question, will Sutton turn into Bridezilla? Tia and Lewis want a baby, but will it ever happen? Can they handle parenthood? Ava is still relationship-shy. Can Cole convince her to move in with him and stick around for their future?
I cried tears as each one struggled and solved problems in their lives. Lost Lyrics is also about the found notebooks of lyrics that Phil had written and left in Tia’s care. She shares a notebook with each bandmate, and their responses to the lyrics are different, just like their personal relationship with Phil. It is hard to say goodbye to the Flintlocks, who will hopefully make guest appearances in future books. I, for one, have Tania Joyce’s rockstar books on constant re-reads. The Flintlock Series will be on reread status beside the Everhide Series. The lyrics written in each book perfectly describe the character's emotional status at that particular moment. Tania Joyce is a talented writer and should be writing songs for current rockers, as she can create songs that a rock band should be belting out in live concerts.

Flintlocks #5

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

GAH I’m so excited to back the world of the Flintlocks! It’s been a minute, and I was so excited to see a final story in the very public, party driven, high adrenaline antics of this rock group, and then discovering I don’t get one couple, I got all of the characters! 🤗🤗🤗 don’t be fooled, Prepare for the emotional roller coaster, this one’s strong…. 3% and my tears were already rolling.
I feel that I’ve watched the lives of Flint, Gemma, Slip, Maddy, Cole, Ava, Tia and Lewis, grow just like my own children. Their on-stage antics, the real-life drama, the love, the loss it has created an epic series, I’ll love for many years! Now the lives of the Flintlocks are very different, each member with their own stories, but in this magnificent book, their perfect ending is written in stone, or music.
As the Flintlocks take a break from their crazy rockstar lives, they have the opportunity to grow and nurture their personal lives. Flint and Sutton find a new normal in a forever relationship, they’ve been through so much I was happy to see their happy.
Now Slip and Maddy, they really broke my heart, coming back from the death of his best mate and co ing clean from drugs and alcohol, the bad boy image I’d grown to tolerate turned him into a man I looked up to and loved!
Cole and Ava find a mixed family life perfection; with their adorable children they make the perfect family!
Lewis and Tia, find themselves in the depths of baby making…. Yeah yeah I know, but it’s when it’s negative after negative they find a new love in having fun…
Seeing the life of love the Flintlocks finale, like their shows! EPIC!!!

Lost Lyrics

Tania Joyce, you have written the perfect last edition to an amazing series of The Flintlocks. As I sit here looking at my balled up tissues, I am still feeling the emotions of all of the parts of this book beginning with the loss which I myself have recently experienced only 12 days prior to the release of Lost Lyrics and am still processing now. I was heartbroken for March and Slip. Then there are the joyous parts that filled my heart starting with Lewis and Tia, then Sutton and Flint and Cole and Ava. The epilogues both took me back to the pain of books 1 and 2 and oiled on the happy endings. So the tissues accumulated and I was sorry to have this series end. Tania Joyce is one of my favourite Authors and she has created an interconnected universe with her characters from both the Everhide and Flintlock Series and no doubt will continue to add to this universe and thus I know I will see these characters again in future projects of hers. I strongly recommend both the Everhide and Flintlock Series if you love Rock Star romances. I guarantee you will go back to reading them again and again.

Beautiful ending to a series

This was a book that I wasn't sure I wanted to read. All the Flintlock guys had their happy ever afters and everyone was settled.... I know what this author does to her characters and quite honestly I was scared for them.

I needn't have been though. Lost Lyrics is a great culmination to the series, not only finishing off all the individual stories and bringing them up to date but also offering much more of an insight into Phil and his relationship to all the band members.

As usual for a Tania Joyce book it takes you through the full range of emotions, but the tears are worth it for the smiles and the final happy ever afters.

Highly recommended.

A Perfect and Heartfelt Finale to an Incredible Series

What a beautiful way to wrap up the series! I loved getting the chance to revisit the beloved characters and the warm, familiar world of Flintlock. The way Phil is remembered was especially touching—such a meaningful tribute. And true to form, Tania delivers another emotional journey that tugs at your heartstrings in the best way. It’s bittersweet, deeply moving, and absolutely worth every page. A must-read for fans of the series!!💙💜

So, I enjoyed books 1-4 a lot. I started to read Lost Lyrics, and after getting to about 20%, I stopped. Not sure why, but I felt it wouldn't be much new or interesting. After a couple of weeks, I reopened it on my Kindle, and then really got into the story, as it became clear this was an excellent reading experience.

Ms. Joyce is such a talented author, and I loved this final tome in the series. All 5 volumes were unique and compelling. Kudos!

wow

Wow, just wow! I fell in love with the flintlocks 4 books ago! I love the way this last book incorporates all four couples, and how they’ve progressed. It resolves so many issues for each couple. It gives us insight into their future. The book does justice, remembering Phil, and all of the things good about him. You couldn’t have tied it all together better. Hope there will be a second generation flintlock series.

I experienced a whole mix of emotions reading this fitting end to the Flintlocks series. I loved the multiple POV’s from each of the bandmates and their respective partners. Each couple had a journey they went on together throughout the book, some of which brought a tear to my eye. But with a perfect mix of emotion and spice I eagerly read through the chapters to finally find out if everyone got their happy ending?!
Loved the epilogues, a perfect little extra tidbit which left me finishing this series with a real sense of contentment!

I was lucky enough to get an arc of this book. I have read the whole series and have loved them all but this book was just that extra bit special. It was such a fitting ending to the series. I think I smiled and cried my way through the second half of the book. A must read if you have read the previous books in the series

This was an amazing finish for the Flintlocks! It was a rollercoaster of emotions from beginning to end, but you will not regret this book. Phill gets his memory cherished in the most spectacular way and I cried the entire time (I am not ashamed to admit it)! Tania gave the Flintlocks and Phil a great book to finish the series.

Reading the last book in a series is always bittersweet : I was so happy to go back to all these wonderful characters, but it's a bit the end of an era.
Life continues after the HEA, and the author gives us a wonderful exemple of that. Still lots of emotions, Slip and Maddy's story is heartbreaking, funny times, and overall a great story.

𝐋𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐋𝐲𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐬 is the 5th and final book in the Flintlocks Rockstar Romance Series by Tania Joyce, featuring an amazing wrap-up story for all four of our amazing couples! From a heart-wrenching final send-off for the late Phil, to various life changes, job drama, family scenes, funny moments, and plenty of passion, Tania Joyce offers a true roller coaster ride of emotions for both her characters and her readers as our Flintlocks come to an end in an epic fashion. I started the book in tears, and yet I found myself doubled over in laughter at Flint’s antics late in the book! These characters all suffered in some way in their own stories, but they found true acceptance and love within the band family. I’ve truly enjoyed getting to know them, and will miss them. This really was a fantastic way to end the series, but maybe I’ll hold out hope for a second generation, or something.😉🤣

I received an ARC for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

The ending of a fabulous series!

This book follows all the couples in the Flintlock rock band. We find out how their lives are going now and if they make it through all the heartbreak of the past. Will Finn & Sutton ever find their happily-ever-after? Will Lewis & Tia be able to conceive or will they go a different route to become parents? Will Ava get over her first marriage, so that Cole and her can become a family with their kids? Will Slip be able to overcome his addictions and keep Maddy in his life? Will The Flintlocks continue as a band or will they go their separate ways? I'm sad this series is ending, but I look forward to see what's next.

I received an ARC courtesy of the author.

What a special book this last one was in the series. There were more emotions both up and down as you follow each one on a different journey to a future outside of the band. While they keep their close-knit band family in contact. This truly was a beautifully emotional page turner that highlighted each of them thru their time after the tour ends. While they find they want a life outside of the rock world, they still need music to feel complete. Highly recommend the full series, each one is unique in its own way, while the last one brings everyone together for an amazing ending.

Family for all

I'm so glad Tania Joyce wrote Lost Lyrics, book 5 of The Flintlock series. This was so fun! Tania allowed us to re-visit each of her rock stars, reminiscing the past, connecting us to their present, and giving us a peek at their future. A close happy chosen family. And what a surprise to discover Phil's notebooks. From uncertainty, struggles, hard times to passion - for music, for partners, for life. Tania gave us the perfect gift.

I was in tears at 3% in.
This was heartbreakingly sad in places, funny in others, hopeful & cathartic also. I wasn't sure how a 5th book would fit in & end the series but this blew me away. To see each of the couples, their struggles and the overall impact of the hiatus was needed, unexpected and great. To see a more indepth look into the future is unusual beyond cameos in other series and I loved it.

I waited months for this book and I was so happy to finally have a night to sit down and devour it. While it wrapped up the series, I have to say this book felt rushed. The time skips left me feeling like the book was disjointed. I told my sister I felt like chapters had been written in advanced and just strung together to make it work. Disappointing.
