Single mother, Diana Ward is at her wits end. Between her lousy baby daddy and the daily challenges of life, she feels overwhelmed. One night, fueled by a little too much wine, she writes an unconventional letter to Santa, asking for a cowboy. What she never expected was that her wish would come to fruition in the form of Lawson Boone—a tall, rugged stranger who shows up onto her doorstep delivering her Christmas tree with a grumpy scowl and a gaudy silver belt buckle that screams cowboy. With his well-built frame and calloused hands, Lawson is the epitome of masculinity. Everything she should want, and he seems determined to show her that she doesn’t have to face life alone. But Diana’s stubborn “I can do it myself” mentality clashes with Lawson’s persistence, creating a tension that’s unbelievably hard to ignore. Unbeknownst to her, Lawson reveles in the challenge of taming the fiery, beautiful single mom. So as the holiday spirit sparks between them, can Diana learn to let down her guard and embrace the help—and the romance—right at her doorstep?

Now, what the hell was this? 😭 The premise sounded fun, like, drunkenly writing a letter to Santa asking for a rugged and super hot cowboy, and then having one knocking at your door the next day? Sign me up! But the execution was not it.
The MMC is constantly thinking and talking about disciplining the FMC, and I know is meant in a hot "i'll spank you for being a bad girl"-way (it sounds so corny writing it down but you know what i mean 😭) but it doesn't feel like that at all. And them being so immediately horny for each other wasn't sexy (the way it should be in an erotic novella) but instead, very weird to read about ―and this comes from someone who has read multiple insta-lust erotic romances and loved them, this one was just not well-executed. To let you know how much I wasn't feeling this: I stopped reading right before their first sex scene 💀.
I know this novella is supposed to be a hot and silly time, but I cannot take it like that because if this man knocked on my door and started acting the way he did, I would've slapped him, called the cops and put on a restraining order 🤸♀️.
Man, was it hoooot. 🥵 If readers want a spicy Christmas novella, maybe they should give this a try. Lawson and Diana were so hot together. Just keep in mind to suspend some disbelief since the whole novella takes place over a day and a half, so it's definitely a bit of an insta-something. 🤭

Single mom AND Christmas?! My two favorite things 🤭
I feel all fuzzy inside. heheh, Diana is a strong, stubborn single mother who does everything. Girl needs a break if you tell me. The dating scene is ew since none of the guys seems to keep up with her or she's too independent. Enter Lawson, who has amazing comebacks when she Sasses him. It's gold he knows there is something when he brings her a tree. The banter between them is so good. And yeah, she does push away and is hesitant because men always let her down. That doesn't stop Lawson from helping her. From lights to spanking her for not listening 🔥🔥🔥🔥
These scenes plus his dirty mouth!! 🥵. He does have scenes with the son, which is cute. i wish they had more time to bond. But glad he knew what they needed.

they knew each other for all of TEN MINUTES!!!!!! and they were already talking about forever together and babies?????? listen i like spicy books but they have to have a plot with them!!! the plot in this book made absolutely no sense. I can see this being a fun novella for you if all you want is straight spice.
If you’re looking for a quick and spicy holiday romance with a single mom and dominant cowboy, then look no further! Overall, this was a fun read for me - albeit a bit cringey and ridiculously funny at the same time (I mean, pulling down the pants of a woman who you just met and spanking her ass while also pulling her hair because she’s sassy? Sorry, but I’d slap that man into outer space lmao😂) Other than that, I enjoyed reading about Lawson and Diana🫶🏽
Safety squad: - no OW/OM drama - no cheating/sharing - possessive + jealous H - single mom x cowboy romance - holiday/xmas romance - slight breeding kink - insta love - no manwhores/virgins (H has been celibate for 2 years, no info on h) - spicy novella - HEA
Lawson, Lawson, Lawson. You and your filthy cowboy mouth! You brought out the best in sassy Diana and didn't try for one minute to stifle her independence. Her "I don't need no man" declaration was barely a stepping stone for you and your sexy charm.
After a writing a drunken letter to the man at the North Pole, she discards it to be forgotten on the kitchen island. Pouring out her wants and needs in man for her and a potential father figure to her son. As the snow comes down, she hears a very unexpected knock on her door.
This single mom + cowboy read was the perfect recipe for an amazing Christmas novella. So festively (hello cookie frosting 🥵) spicy and heartwarming at the same day. Makes you really believe in holiday miracles especially for a woman who deserves the world... Or just one sexy as hell cowboy with a smirk that will set your panties ablaze!
OK, what did I just read?!?! They knew each other for 6 minutes and 12 seconds?!? And they are talking about forever and not using protection?!?! What happened to going for a coffee first?!?! 😂😂
See, asking Santa for a cowboy seemed like a good idea in theory. This guy, however, needs to learn to use his words and mind his business. And, sure, I'll suspend my disbelief all the way and all that, and even still I wouldn't let this guy touch me with a 10 ft pole.
When single mom Diana gets tipsy one night and writes a drunken letter to Dear ol' Santa asking for a cowboy to have and to hold, she definitely wasn't expecting the grumpy son of the sweet man who always delivers her fir tree to come a-knocking. Especially on her first night alone after leaving her kid with his father for the holidays.
That all sounds like a book I would enjoy. And I'm sure I would if this was a 21st century romance-book cowboy we were talking about. This asshat, however, goes around being like "I need to discipline you, woman. You ain't listening to me". And I wish I was kidding but those are literally things he says/ thinks in this book. He has known her for about 10 minutes by the time he starts with those kinds of thoughts. There are zero conversations had about anything before he basically forces her to engage in impact play (sp*nking) outside on her lawn in the middle of a blizzard!! Like, seriously, what in the actual hell!?
Then, there are enough grammatical mistakes to made me dizzy, but tbh I usually forgive those when the book's good. I'm not in a very forgiving mood, though.
All in all, I would recommend you skip this book and pick up some of the other amazing books -similar to this one- that are coming out this holiday season.
🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 - I mean, it was spicy, but the plot made me nauseous so the spice didn't help.
I get that this is a novella so things move quicker than they do in full length novels, but this went from 0 to 100 real quick and not in a good way. I did not root for them to be together, they had zero chemistry, and the spice was just so icky. the “dirty talk” was uncomfortable and their nicknames for each other had me rolling my eyes.
also I love dual pov, but with Lawson’s pov I felt like I was in a man’s brain and not in a good way. his inner monologue about Diana made me cringe the entire time.
this truly was not for me and, unfortunately, I would not recommend it.
This book is an absolute delight! 🌟 *Dear Santa, Send Me a Cowboy* is the perfect holiday read that had me grinning from ear to ear. The vibes are just immaculate, and I’m still riding that giddy wave! There are scenes in this story that I know I’ll be thinking about forever.
Diana Ward, our single mom protagonist, is relatable and overwhelmed by her circumstances—especially with a baby daddy who doesn’t help. But just when she thinks she can’t take it anymore, she writes a cheeky letter to Santa asking for a cowboy. Enter Lawson Boone: tall, rugged, and grumpy, yet undeniably charming. I mean, who wouldn’t want a Lawson on their doorstep?
I’m a huge fan of the single parent trope, and cowboys, which is just *chef’s kiss*! Lawson knack for knowing just what to say is seriously swoon-worthy. The chemistry between him and Diana is electric, and their banter is a joy to read.
And that ending? WOW! I could have read more about these characters for days. Lawson is ready to embrace everything that comes with being with Diana, and it’s heartwarming to see their relationship develop amidst the holiday chaos.
If you’re looking for a festive read that’ll leave you feeling warm and fuzzy, this book needs to be on your Christmas TBR! 🔥🎄 I'm putting A Lawson on my Christmas list.!
Thank you for much Remi for giving me the opportunity to read an arc of your book!!🤠

“Dedicated to all the moms out there who feel like they aren’t good enough. YOU ARE. But if you need more reassurance, write a Dear Santa letter asking for a cowboy and maybe someone like Lawson Boone will show up on your doorstep.”
5 stars this was exactly what I needed. A SPICYYYYYY CHRISTMAS COWBOY NOVELLA🤭🤤🤩
The vibes of this were ✨everything✨ I’m obsessed with our grumpy cowboy Lawson!! Please Santa send me him too!🤩 We follow Diana - a single mum who is feeling a little lonely during the Christmas holiday. She writes to Santa for one wish. On her doorstep is a grumpy cowboy who has just moved back home - Lawson, could he be the Christmas miracle Diana wants? Could one night change everything?
Diana, my favourite sassy single mum!! Her wish is my wish 🤩 I’m obsessed with her and how bratty she is… she stands her ground and she knows what she’s doing 🫡 Her Santa letter is top tier ❤️🔥 She felt relatable with the emotions she was expressing and she was HEARD!! Lawson, omg hello new favourite grumpy cowboy alert!!!! H O T !!! I’m obsessed! Please, he was captivated by his woman straight away. He was not up for leaving and I LOVE IT! The spice in this book is something else. I was blushing, and all I’m saying is frosting sounds extra fun now 👀
This is such a fun holiday book, it was so easy to read and so enjoyable! The vibes were immaculate and I’m still so giddy!!! There is scenes in this book I will be thinking about forever 🥵 It’s safe to say we all need a Lawson on our doorstep 🤭 I’m going to be thinking about them for a while, I thoroughly enjoyed myself with this read. I’m a massive fan of the single parent trope, he falls first AND a grumpy cowboy?!?! I ate this UPPPPP🤩 I love how Lawson just knew what to say like it’s so damn hot🥵 This needs to be on your Christmas tbr!! Plus the ending?!!! HELLOOOOOO I’m obsessed and I will not shut up about it! Lololol this book. I surprisingly didn’t hate it. But it was 145 pages of just straight smut. I guess sometimes that’s just what a girl needs 😂
Found it hard to get connected to the characters in the short 145 pages but I guess who needs a super strong connection when it’s just smut. Also thought it was so interesting this book took place over two days. Don’t think instalove is my fav trope.. but here I am still giving it three stars because maybe I enjoyed it a little.
Is this book made of CRACK?!?! Because god damn it felt like crack
When I say I want a spicy cowboy holiday novella THIS IS THE STANDARD 👏🏼👏🏼 Lawson Boone had me sweating like a sinner in church the moment he showed up 🥵 when I say this man is a Grumpy cowboy i mean GRUMPY. Hes rough around the edges but damn if i didnt love him! The back and forth between Lawson and Diana made this story just the touch bit angsty and I ate it up 🤤
Here for a good time, not a long time. This was fun. It was the perfect little break in between books, giving me a dirty cowboy but also some humor as well. Not my favorite, but I came in wanting the 🌶️ and I’m happy with what I got 🤣🤣
— vibezz 🎀 xmas novella ❄️ single mom x cowboy/tree farm owner 🎀 love at first sight ❄️ independent woman/caregiver man 🎀 he ties her with a tinsel
mini blurb — ✍🏻 After one drunken evening and feeling overwhelmed with problem with the men in her life, Diana writes a letter to Santa asking for someone nice, loyal, reliable and basically a cowboy. Little did she know that her wish would come true the next day.
//
That was cute, a little unrealistic if i had to be honest, the way basically Lawson barges in her house and doing things, fixing light on the porch and shit.. SIR it's a stranger home you're entering 💀 and yeah, ofc one time she ended up in a ditch going to the tree farm to get one and the owner (his father) for 8/9 i forgot for how many years, end up delivering a tree to her home, just like that. Is this a service they offer? is she special? idk this gave me the ick for some reason, and even the 🌶️✨spicy scene were a bit awkward in the way they were written 🧐
But all's well that ends well, I liked him at the end, he really stepped up and proved to be someone strong and reliable for both him and Diane's son, he defended her *swoon* and the epilogue was really cute
Remi Rose's "Dear Santa, Send Me a Cowboy" is a deliciously sexy Christmas novella that sees a fierce and independent single mother at the mercy of a grumpy cowboy who quickly becomes obsessed with pleasing her. For one night, while her son visits his father, Diana and Lawson explore each other in ways she only ever drunkenly dreamed about. It's insta-love-y, short, sweet, and full of delectable, devious spice. It's not too terribly bothered with the backstory or details of these characters or this town, choosing to foster the chemistry through little looks, touches, and banter between Diana and Lawson. Diana is used to being in control as a single mother, so she can let her inhibitions go with the bossy, commanding Lawson. Think "filthy mouths," and I mean that in more than one way! Christmastime spice is my favorite kind of spice. *wink* I did think it ended a bit too quickly, but it's a novella, so that's par for the course. I enjoyed this one quite a bit!
Thank you to Remi Rose and Love Notes PR for the complimentary ARC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.
Dear Santa, Send Me A Cowboy is steamy holiday novella. It’s short & sweet & full of spice 🥵!
Diana is a fiercely sassy single mom who tells it like it is. Lawson is the hot cowboy everyone wants. Put these two together & you have one spicy book that will leave you fanning yourself.
Taking this book for what it is & trying to not look into it with too much depth, it’s a short porno. Right off the bat, there’s angst & sexual tension that leads to sexy time. The body of the book is sex. The ending has a little drama but a good happily ever after ending.
Again, this is a short novella so everything comes at you fast (no pun intended) 🤪 so there’s no character building, no in depth background between the two characters. But that’s what makes it a novella & I gave it the rating I deemed appropriate.
✨Thank you to Love Notes PR & of course the author, Remi Rose for the ARC! ✨
Remi Rose knows how to deliver!!!! One of my top 3 books is Nodus Tollens and that was my introduction to Remi Rose. Then she came out with After some which was book 2 and when i tell you i could not put down any of her books. I had no choice but to be excited when i saw this book from her. Needless to say, I had to force myself to slow down and enjoy this book but i wanted to fly through it in one day. The banter between Diana and Lawson was too damn good. Lawsons dirty mouth made me throw my kindle on the bed several times and kick my feet in the air like a high school teen. But lord that man was too good to be fiction. He was the perfect mix between dirty and a family man and i loved every chapter of it. Safe to say Remi Rose did it again. :)
I know it's supposed to be bang bang down the chimney but it's just so bad with how desperate both of them are. Insta lust, insta fools.
You're telling me you'd invite a random man into your house who delivered a tree on behalf of the shopkeeper and you'd let him sniff your neck?
As much as this is a novella and it's smutty this is just not it, it shouldn't be this worse. Make it realistic and then you can make her see stars.
Also, can authors stop with the darling and cowboy trope? Not all cowboys need to use darling for sure as an endearing nickname. It's alright to come up with new ones.
Girl this is what spicy Christmas novellas are all about! Diana is a single mum needing some company while her son is at his dad’s for Christmas. During a night of lonely wine drinking she writes a letter to Santa asking for a rugged cowboy to come knocking on her door. And just who turns up the next day to deliver her Christmas tree?? Grumpy cowboy Lawson Boone! 🫠
This was just pure joy to read, the vibes were immaculate, the characters were wonderful and the spice was phenomenal. There are so many scenes that live rent free in my brain! I need Remi to write more cowboys because Lawson was everything 👌🏼
Add this to your holiday tbr, I can guarantee you won’t regret it 🔥🤠
- Christmas Novella - Bossy fmc who needs discipline - Single mom - He falls first - Grumpy cowboy - A spicy ladder scene 🥵
wtf was this book? it was 90% smut, no story to it what so ever. single mum asks Santa for a cowboy, gets one when he’s delivering a tree to her, and in one night there whole relationship starts. that’s literally it. this is way too much.
on top of that, I hate how possessive he is, when silvan was there like you’ve just met this child and you’re acting like his dad, let’s be for real he’d be scared of you.
