Three Falls is the exhilarating final instalment of the gripping young adult apocalyptic series, Fortune Falls.

With the stakes higher than ever, warring factions must set aside their differences and unite if they hope to defeat this formidable foe. But in a world where trust is scarce, alliances are fragile.
As they confront unprecedented dangers, the Novas must determine who they can truly rely on. Will their allies remain loyal, or will betrayal strike from within? In this desperate fight for survival, who can be trusted?
Faced with an enemy that will stop at nothing to achieve their goal, the Novas must fight for a cause far greater than themselves. Will they survive this final battle, or will they lose everything they hold dear?
I can’t believe within a week I’ve read all book in this series (5 book) even though this one dragged on a bit (in my opinion) it was still a solid 4 star read. Loved the beginning, middle is where I found it dragging a bit, loved the ending (even though I crave more) but still closed out of that last page with a bittersweet feeling, it’s like saying goodbye to loved ones, these characters all became a part of me.. I’ll definitely keep my eyes on this author for future books. This had all my emotions all over the place, I giggled, sat in terror as I read, fell down a plot twist, was sad when a few characters didn’t make it.
Now I have to go on the hunt for something similar to sink my teeth into..
So... first of all, I can't believe this is over :( I'm going to miss them sm, The entire series was a rollercoaster, and the characters will be my Roman Empire forever. The whole series are definitely 4 stars⭐️, I think this was my least favorite out of the five, but still, I absolutely loved these books. I don't even know what to say; this book made me feel like ten emotions at the same time: I cried, I laughed, I got angry, this book just made me feel everything. It hurts that Jess didn't end up with Matt🥹 like I love Ethan, but I was team Matt since the first book, they deserved a happy ending and seeing him so changed and different hurt my soul😭 but I rather that than him being dead ig.
╰⪼ Plot *:ꔫ:*+💌 The plot was fine, I didn't expect too much honestly, but I was still invested on what was happening, it was a bit boring at times but still a fast read, I loved that the romance was only a subplot, even though it wasn't like the main plot of the book, you would still catch me smiling and getting excited every time something happened between the characters.
╰⪼ Characters *:ꔫ:*+💌 These characters have a special place in my heart, I absolutely loved every single person here, I connected with all of them, also I loved how in this book we got other characters pov, it was interesting to see what was happening in scenes where Jess was not in. Dean, Matt and Ethan stole my heart cuz every time something happened to them I was literally so nervous I wanted to stop reading.
╰⪼Tropes *:ꔫ:*+💌 🤍Found family 🤍Love triangle 🤍Friends to lovers 🤍Friends to lovers to strangers

Some of the songs just gave me the vibes but most of them are bc of the lyrics, I'll probably be adding more but the playlist is on my spotify!
˚。 ⋆୨ would i recommend? ୧⋆ ˚。 Yess, if you're looking for a book series that you can finish in probably one week, that has cute and fluffy romance, post apocalyptic vibes and action scenes, this is for you💗 I personally struggled to finish bc I was so busy with school and sometimes I wasn't in the mood for reading but once I started to read more frequently I couldn’t stop. Also forgot to mention!! The chapters in these books are very short!, that’s also why I loved them, and the reading was very light.🤍
╰⪼Thoughts and personal opinion*:ꔫ:*+💌 Overall these ones are so worth to read, I loved almost everything in these books, I'll probably buy all of the 5 on amazon cuz having them on my kindle is not enough😔 It's one of those book series that holds a special place in your heart and you just want to hug the characters for all they’ve been through, and I think that If a book made you feel all kind of emotions, that means the author did a great job. But yeah prob top 5 in favorite books of all time.🫶🏻
This is the last book in the Fortune Falls series, I loved how every book in the series got better and better, which seemed impossible.
I loved this series so much, and Three Falls was the perfect way to wrap up this 5 book series.
Lou has a style of writing that is captivating, emotional, and humerous. Her character building and world building are off the charts.
I will re read this series again and again, I fell in love with the characters very early on in book one, and their growth and development just made me love them more. We were introduced with some new characters along the way, and they quickly joined the "I love them" tribe as well.
This book (as well as the four preceding it) was utterly amazing. If I could give it more than 5 stars, i would because it deserves.
It made me giggle, laugh, cry, anxious. It was tense, it was fast-paced, all while being flawless.
Lou is phenomenal author and I will auto buy anything she writes
Brilliant! A really amazing story on its own, but a really excellent conclusion to this incredible series! I loved all of this, the characters, the twists & turns in the plot, the action levels are good & so is the overall energy. A really amazing read! I am a little sad this series is now finished but that is just a reflection of how enjoyable it has been. I do recommend!
I loved this ending it made me so happy to have a happy ending not to mention how funny they made the last part. I’m so relieved after everything they went through it all came together and even though some people didn’t make it they still find a way to be happy and create their own world.

“Because that’s what love is — putting the needs of someone else before yourself, even if it hurts to do it.”
I’m going to miss all these characters! I’ve grown so attached to them😭 I had to get used to all the different character POVs but I really enjoyed how we got to understand each person a lot better! I seriously love every character! It’s hard to pick a favorite!
Jess and Ethan! Yay I loveeee! I’m sad that Matt may never get his memories back, but I’m happy he’s alive! Everything was wrapped up nicely, but still had a pretty open ending!
I know this is a series I will reread in the future!<3

What a great ending to this series. It's not my favorite of the series, but it's still good. But I'm so sad that Matt never remembers and doesn't regain his memories because I was team Matt all the way, but at least jess gets her happy ending, so I can't really complain.
I was honored to read this as an ARC and I can say that this is a perfect ending. (is this the end?) Hmmm??? I have fallen in love with the characters and their story, following them through this journey of survival. Absolutely amazing!!
As the title suggests, this was the best so if you already loved or even just liked the rest of the books, this one is even better! New to the series are the multi-POVs. The multiple POVs were handled smoothly while adding to the story and not distracting. The pace was so good that I stayed up until 5am reading! I had to! This was the most satisfying ending I’ve read in ages and I am so sad to leave Jess and all our friends we’ve made in this incredible adventure. I will definitely be adding this series into my annual Fall reread rotation.
What an end to the Fortune Falls series. This series has been a wild ride and I’ve loved every second of it. Lou is a fantastic author who really captured my interest with this series. If you’re a lover of dystopian and series like The 100, maze runner and hunger games you will 100% love this series!
The last book in the Fortune Falls series. A welcome ending full of drama, humour, and loyalty.
Three Falls is the fifth and final instalment in the Fortune Falls series by Lou Vane.
I first picked up the Fortune Falls earlier this year and was immediately hooked. All of the characters felt not only realistic but relatable and watching them navigate and grow over the series was one of the most enjoyable aspects of the plot.
Three Falls is a brilliant ending to what is considered a thrilling young adult dystopian series. Jess has become a fully-fledged survivor who wants the best for the Novas. She is willing to take risks if it means her people are guaranteed safety. Even though she has a love interest or two, it doesn't take away from the fact that her main priority is survival. I can appreciate female characters who are headstrong.
The overall plot was fine, albeit a bit rushed at times and with a fair amount of filler, but it was still a welcomed conclusion to such a brilliant story. The action is brilliant, and as a reader, you really feel immersed in the drama as it is happening. The dialogue is also a strong suit, the way the characters interact with each other really drives the plot. The way Lou Vane writes humour is also great, as it offers a sense of relief during a time when your livelihood is on the line.
The romance elements of this series were fine. I wasn't particularly attached to either Matt or Ethan, but they had sweet moments with Jess which were nice. However, I will say I enjoyed the friendship between Jess and Dean more than her romance with Matt and/or Ethan. A part of me wished Jess and Dean would have been endgame as their bond seemed so strong and genuine. However, they both ended up with their individual partners and had a happy ending, so I can't complain.
I will definitely revisit the Fortune Falls series in the future, especially now that all the books are out and I don't have to wait for the next part!
WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN MATT DIDNT GET HIS MEMORIES BACK 😭😭😭???!? IDC IF HE DOESNT END UP WITH JESS AGAIN BRO. I NEED THE OLD MATT BACK. who tf is JD ☹️?? Like okay he's more confident but he's such an asshole sometimes I physically can't- NOT TO MENTION ALL THE SPOTS THEY PASSED WHILE HIKING TO THE BUNKER. When they found THE sock :( "Even if she explained it to them, they wouldn't get it. It was her memory alone now." NO WHAT THE FUCK 😭😭?? SHE SAVED MATT'S LIFE AND FACED DEATH IN THAT CAVE. WTF DO U MEAN HE DOESN'T REMEMBER JACKSHIT??? THE PLANE SCENE. RHYS'S DEATH. THE PANIC ATTACK IN THE ESCAPE HATCH. ALL. GONE. All his memories of not just Jess, but every one in the camp and the shit they went through together in literally half a year.. just gone 💔?!??
Anyways Ethan is mid! No. fine. He's really understanding and sweet but why was I hoping for a crazy enemies to lovers plot twist with miles 🧍♀️. I swear there was buildup I'm not blind ☹️.. but oh well who cares x
Now that it's all off my chest... the book pace was really weird. And tbh the plot was mid. If I didn't get so attached to the world and characters it might've been boring for me tbh.. five books were really not necessary. Three of four would've been fine but Idm cus this was the funnest month I've had this term 😭
Sue me but the only reason I didn't give this four or three stars was bc of the silly cute character dynamics and stuff. I'm a sucker for found family, and this book delivered it so well I could feel the genuine platonic love between everyone in the group.
There were really nice tense moments, and it's overall a really nice read!! Not comparing it to other books it's amazing, but maybe cus I've read alot, my honest rating is a 3.75 :3
(Side note i need to put out there: I freaking love Aaron so much, and how all the Novas look up to him and naturally follow him. I love my man ughhh. Ok bye)

5 stars as always for Lou Vane! This was an amazing end to the series and so very full circle, i loved it.
Ethan and Jess ending sutter together so she didn’t have to go through it alone like she did with troy. All the kids loving Matt at then end after the first few chapters of book one were him getting along with younger kids. Ethan asking jess to come outside to see the full moon/night sky, just like he did at the lodge. The mention of Priya’s grave in the last few chapters. Ugh it’s just such a perfect ending.
This book made me love miles, I wasn’t his biggest fan before this but god, now I just need more of him.
Obligatory fav quotes
“His eyebrows lift in amusement. “Might be safest if I hold on, you know, just in case.” Making sure he doesn’t lose contact for even a second, he moves closer, then slides his hand down to mine.”
“I know we’re about to head into danger and all, but I’m kind of looking forward to it. Not only do we get to go into battle with your returned-from-the-dead-ex-boyfriend and your on-again, off-again beau, Ethan ... or are you on again? I lose track. But now we’ve also got nothing’s-happening-between-us Miles to throw in the mix. This is going to be so much fun.”
“Ethan gently takes the gun from my still-raised arms. He pulls me close and I feel him shaking too. This time, we bear this burden together.”

“After everything that's happened lately, i fully appreciate being alive. And it's kind of sad to think how much I took it for granted before. But I gues sometimes we need to risk losing somethng to realise how impoertant it is.”
After months of waiting its finally here and it is amazing!! The ending wrapped up the series so well.
When I first got into the book and saw that it was multiple point of views, I was shocked and very intrigued. I knew it meant there were big things happening. I loved and hated the multiple POVs because it was great when it was going back and fourth between the groups so the reader could know what was going on, but when one POV ended on a cliff hanger and it changed to a different POV, I wanted to get through the chapers as fast as I could to get back to the other POV.
Three Falls was such an amazing read and even though i’m so sad that the series has ended, I’m glad the characters got their happy ending.
The Fortune Falls series was honetly so amazing and such an adventure and I am so glad that I found the fist book all those months ago. Thank you Lou Vane for writing such an amazing story and sharing it with the world <3
"𝑺𝒐 𝑰 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒊𝒏. 𝑰 𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒊𝒕 𝒐𝒏 𝒎𝒚 𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏. 𝑲𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒕 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒘𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝒈𝒆𝒕." - me after finishing this series be like 😭
✨ ARC review, but of course 100% my honest opinion, I just happen to absolutely love this series. 💫💛
I finished the last book earlier today, and before I was even done with it, I was already craving a reread, and that's how you know a series is amazing 🥲 I have absolutely fallen for this series, and it now has a well deserved spot on my favorites list.
One thing I've realized since picking up Fortune Falls, is that found family is one of my favorite tropes. I could recommend this series for that alone, because it is truly done so well. I should also add that I'm completely obsessed with the post apocalyptic aspect of the books, and everything that comes with it, so there's really plenty of reasons to sneak it onto your tbr 🤭 I have read a lot of post apocalyptic books, but no one quite like this, and I think I'll have a hard time finding any that will measure up.
I have been missing the Novas ever since I read the rest of the series last winter, so it's bittersweet to end this series, but thankfully there will be more novellas and a spin off.
Lou Vane's Three Falls is a spectacular conclusion to the Fortune Falls series! This exhilarating final book delivered on every level, captivating me from start to finish.
The stakes have never been higher for Jess and the Novas. Vane masterfully crafts heart-pounding tension, keeping me hooked and invested in their struggle. The constant threat of betrayal had me questioning every character's motives.
World-building shines in this apocalyptic setting, with vivid action sequences. But what resonated most was the emotional connection between characters. Their bond felt real, making the stakes feel profoundly human.
Themes of loyalty, courage, and hope in despair shine through, making the Novas' journey powerful. Twists abound, keeping me on my toes. The final battle was epic, emotional, and unforgettable.
A breathtaking conclusion to the Fortune Falls saga! Lou Vane has created something amazing.
Thank you so much for allowing me to read this book as an ARC. I am honoured that I got the chance.
The 5th and final book in the Fortune Falls series. It was an amazing finish to a story! have been following from the beginning.
I absolutely love the writing, it sucks you in from the get go. This book alone was action packed and had so much tension throughout but there were well placed lighter moments that made it such an enjoyable read.
The whole series is a must read for anyone who lovês dystopian worlds. It is a mix between The Maze Runner, The Hunger Games, Divergent and The 100 yet is still so distinctly unique. This is definitely a favourite series of mine. I would recommend it to anyone who loves dystopian books. But no matter what you like to read it is a great series with so much going on. There is pretty much something for everyone, including some romance.
I was struggling a bit on how to rate this book. I love the Fortune falls series. The characters are really great and as a reader you feel like you get to know them. The conclusion was also a good way to end the series.
My "problems" (if I can even call it that) with the book was a two pointer. One was that the book felt like it had a lot of "fillers". The plot was a bit slow at times. That was different from the other books, were I really struggled to put the book down. The other was that I felt a few storylines and/or characters was cut a bit short. I don't really know how to explain it without it becoming a short text.
But all in all a really good book, and an exciting read. It was a bit slower and different than the other books, but a really good ending in my eyes for a really great series.
I’m actually really upset that this series is finished and If I had known about them and Lou Vane prior to their release dates there is no doubt in my mind I would have flown to Australia to meet her and have her sign my books.
I loved that she incorporated different perspectives from Jess, Ollie and Ashley whereas the other four were just from Jess. Ollies a really likable character and Ashley, well she becomes one of the good ones in my book.
I’m genuinely going to miss this escape world. I’m not usual the type to dwell and ponder over characters but this series changed that with every book I read! Their character development, their friendship, their loyalty to eachother! Lou did it one last time.
Thank you for unforgettable series that I can re-read.
Please Lou write more! The Sanctuary?
The entire series is ⭐️ 5 Stars!! Three Falls ⭐️ 4.5 Stars!

Wow just wow. I was beyond happy to get an ARC of this book, and absolutely heart broken that it took me this long to publish the review. I actually finished the book over a week ago but didn’t get a chance to write the review. Anyways, let’s get to the actual review.
I absolutely loved this Three Falls. This book picked up where Echoes left off, and filled in some blanks that Echoes left us with. Three Falls was full of action that left me gripping the edge of my seat. If it wasn’t for my limited reading time lately, I would have read this book in a day. I’m beyond happy with the ending of this book series, however I’m heartbroken that it’s finally over.
I highly recommend this series, especially if you’re looking for a young adult, apocalyptic series.
I would forever love the Fortune Falls series it's such a cosy read. The book was silky idk if that makes sense but the writing style was so smooth and at a nice pace. The tension building up the main plot confrontation was very cool. The final book was pretty straightforward and I loved the fact that Lou mentioned every character and I mean every character mentioned from the previous books in the final book so we get a conclusion on each character's story. The reason it's not a full 5 stars for me is because some of the challenges each character faced were similar or the same, and tho I was in no crying mood I was surprised no one in the main cast died, but that never took away the fun from the whole story. The vibes were wholesome and the ending was optimistically perfect. ((:

This was the perfect, intense and nerve wracking ending to this FANTASTIC series!!!
I loved these characters and will miss them SO MUCH!!! The growth of these characters was AMAZING, when I think of the beginning and the end it is remarkable how they changed and grew. The way they became a family, willing to risk their lives for each other, was so heartwarming. I just LOVED the Novas so much!! I didn’t want to say goodbye, but they will stay with me!!
If you enjoy survival, apocalyptic, dystopian, lots of intense action and friendships that become family, with some romance, you will LOVE THIS SERIES!!! I can’t recommend this hard enough, READ IT!!!!
I literally created a goodreads account just to review this book! This series deserves so much recognition. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for Three Falls so I won’t say too much! But this series has been phenomenal and the last book was no different. This is the first series to give me that dystopian nostalgic feeling since the Hunger Games Era. I usually am sad to see a series end or unsatisfied but it was truly the perfect ending. I was extremely content with how the series wrapped up and definitely want to do a reread now! The characters are all amazing and the detail that went into their personalities and complexities made this book and series amazing. Easily 5 stars!
This was probably my least favorite book of the series just because it felt like there were a lot of things going on at once and sometimes things were too slow/fast, and I wanted way more romance between Ethan and Jess that we didn’t get. My least favorite part was how rushed it felt. There were so many details and things going on at once and then it all just mushed together quickly at the end with a lot of things still unresolved.
However, I love that Ethan and Jess end up together. TEAM ETHAN SINCE DAY ONE BAY-BEEEE!!
Overall, this was a very good series.

So so sad this series is over now, I enjoyed it so much! I’m gonna miss all of these characters! I loved all of the action and the way this book was from multiple points of view! All of these characters and relationships were so well developed throughout the whole series! Sorta wish the book wouldn’t ended with Matt getting his memories back and ended up with Jess, but her and Ethan are still really cute, and otherwise I loved everything about this book and series! Each book kept getting better and better, and this book and the 4th have to be tied for my favorites! Love this series so so so much!!!
This series is everything! I am so thankful I found it and that it got me out of my reading slump, it was the first series I had really enjoyed in months and now it’s one of my favorites. It’s getting harder to find good dystopian / end of the world books, and Lou Vane has made this genre exciting again.
The characters are my favorite part of the series. They are so well described that they feel like real people. I’ve enjoyed following them along on their adventures, their trials and tribulations.
I am not ready for the series to be over. I am so hopeful for more Fortune Falls novellas or a spin or future series by the author. Til’ then I will definitely reread these books all over again!
One of the best YA dystopian series I've read in years. Took me back to when I was young. I've always loved these tropes but felt some of them lacking or leaving me unsatisfied. This was not the case with Three Falls. If you've already read the other Fortune Falls books you know you need to read this one. This is the best one out of all of them. The way Lou handles multiple POVs is genius. You never want to put it down and then once you get to the end you want to read it again to enjoy. Excellent work Lou Vane!
