Hawk is book two in the Sons of Sangue series by Patricia A. Rasey.
What’s better than an MC romance? Well, one thats full of vampires.
So I wasn’t sure if I'd like this second book in the series. I had a lot of issues with book one, Viper, but it turns out I thoroughly enjoyed this installment. I couldn’t put Hawk down and read it in one day. It was entertaining and the vampire MC aspect worked, now that I understand the dynamics.
With Kaleb and Suzi their romance took center stage to the suspense. These two have a decades old history between them and so you can bet the sexual tension is going to be sizzling. Theirs a lot of sex, talk of sex, & the sex scenes are scorching hot.
Suzi was a nice character. She wasn’t annoying or whiny. She had spunk and went after what she wanted. Despite Kaleb breaking her heart years ago. Kaleb was stubborn and pure alpha male. The bad-ass MC president worked well for his character.
Hawk was an enjoyable read. I liked the push and pull between our leads and couldn’t wait for them to overcome the obstacles and find their HEA.

Utter turmoil in the land of the Sons of Sangue. Kane is no longer MC president and he is off Lord knows where with Cara. With the murder of two of their own, new president Kaleb needs to sort out who is responsible and quick. They all believe the evil Rosalee is behind it all with someone close aiding her in her efforts.
Devastated with the deaths of his brethren Kaleb is thrown for a loop when Suzi reappears after six months away. Suzi had to leave, there was no other choice for her. It was killing her inside watching Kaleb flaunt his fast ways in from of her.
After 10 years of fighting intense love/hate issues over Suzi, Kaleb is coming to the end of his tethers over this petite brunette who makes his blood boil.
Dealing with his animosity for her over the last decade was Suzi's cross to bear after her friend Ion's death. Kaleb's jealousy and anger over the apparent relationship Suzi shared with his nephew fueled his deep feelings but having her at close proximity is torture. Can he hold on to his hatred when all he wants to do is make love not war? Kaleb and all he holds dear to him are now on a hit list and only the Sons of Sangue coming together, even with Kane and Cara, may give them a chance to come through. Kaleb's roller-coaster of emotions leaves him open to the one thing he tries to avoid, a relationship with the only woman who has ever made him feel. In the first Sons of Sangue book, VIPER, we were getting to know these sexy and intriguing vampires. Hawk is a whole new ball game and Patricia A. Rasey hits a home run with this story. Things are getting fierce with a rival MC club, the murderer who is still out there and even right under the Sons noses in the nightclub that helps sustain their way of life. Each and every character has its own distinct and memorable personality, they're just begging for their own story. Patricia A. Rasey's fresh and exhilarating take on vampires is a must read. Readers will not be disappointed.

Vampires in a biker gang.....sounds ridiculous but honestly, the first chapter hooked me and I saw the potential.
I don't like MC novels for their sexism, vulgarity, and the huuuge false sense of superiority and importance that a club of grown men have.
I don't like a lot of PNR vampire books because the Vampires tend to be uptight, old fashioned, and a little melodramatic. Not my type.
But put those two together and a lot of those flaws beautifully cancel each other out. Bikers have serious vampire business and a real reason for angst, so their precious brotherhood and sense of importance doesn't make me laugh. As vampires, they are saved from being stuck with the personality of a bored victorian old man. Even the sexism is a bit more understandable coming from a imortal fellow who was possibly around before women could vote.
It could've been a good story.
And I did love it until I realized that Hawk is one of the worst male leads I have ever seen. He is inherently selfish, mean, immature, very misogynistic, pretty dumb, and a big coward to top it all off. He doesn't even make a good antihero because he doesn't have the guts.
And the heroine, Suzi, just made me sad.
She met him as a teenager and volunteers as a snack for all vamps just to get close to him. He takes her virginity when she is 18 and runs away because he is scared of his feelings. He blatantly sleeps with every other woman he can and she drowns her sorrows by acting as a beard for his nephew. (I know) Hawk is jealous and angsty. Nephew dies and when Hawk breaks the news to Suzi, she is in shock. A normal reaction.
No lie, but this idiot takes that intial response as proof that she is a "A cold hearted bitch." Literally:
The have sex one time and in the span of a few pages he realizes all his wrongs.
I'm realizing now that I missed the most important potential flaw of a biker/vampire PNR mashup......both genres tend to love their asshole heros and Hawk unfortunately ended up as some kind of super asshole mashup.

Kaleb planned to make her life a living hell for that alone.First of all, why does the uncle expect a "sorry for your loss" from the girlfriend?? He doesn't care about logic and acts horrendous to this young girl for TEN years. She sticks around for it because she "loves" him. He continues to be terrible for 80% of the book and she keeps forgiving him because she is just that thirsty. She kept resolving to grow a backbone but would forget it all when she noticed again how hot he is.

After thoroughly enjoying Viper (book #1), I was more than excited for the release of Hawk. Especially because Kaleb grabbed my attention in book #1 and made me want to know more...
Hawk picks up where Viper left off, but I believe it can be read well as standalone. I would personally recommend reading the books in order - Viper and then Hawk - but if you're unable, you will be able to enjoy Hawk without first reading Viper. Just not *quite* as much.
In Viper, the Sons were forced to kill a primordial vampire, make some shaky alliances, break a ton of rules, and completely change the dynamic of their MC. Hawk takes those things to the next level with additional shakeup within their Club, several attempted murders, a kidnapping, betrayal, a hard earned love story HEA, a bunch of surprises, and one heck of a set up for the power couple... er couples!?... for book #3.
Kaleb and Suzi have been fighting their attraction for one another for over 10 years and there are some heavy duty secrets and half truths that make their relationship beyond tension filled. Because of this, their interaction in the book is both hard to take and an utter relief when they finally figure things out. LOL You will feel just about every emotion for them and it's most certainly a sexy 'me Tarzan you Jane' adventure.
Hawk, SONS OF SANGUE #2 is an intense, action-packed roller-coaster ride, and you will learn much more about some of the other Sons and supporting characters. I am REALLY curious to see how Patricia spins the next tale given the crazy circumstances of the newest 'mate' and the introduction of the new character(s).
SONS OF SANGUE is highly recommended to Paranormal Romance readers who like their heroes Alpha, their heroines able to hold their own yet willingly submit to the sexy bad boys, and plenty of MC territorial action and intrigue.

Hawk, Book 2 in the Sons of Sangue series was outstanding! Ms. Rasey continues the story of a vampire motorcycle club with Kaleb "Hawk" Tepes and Suzi a retired donor from the club. Secrets and misunderstandings have kept them apart but the desire and want for each other draw them closer. The storyline has tons of action, mayhem, vampire politics, blood and scorching sex. "Hawk" is the classic paranormal romance but has elements that make it different then the "cookie-cutter" vampire stories that are out there. I would recommend this series 100%!

Suzi can't help how she feels when it comes to a certain vampire. Hawk has told himself he despises her for years. The heart wants what it wants. Will Suzi finally get what her heart has longed for? Will Hawk realize what he has before it is to late?
I'm a sucker for this authors books and this one was no different! I didn't blame Suzi for the way she went about things and I loved how loyal she was despite what she chanced loosing. I got to admit that at first Hawk rubbed me the wrong way, but overtime I came to understand him and loved seeing him evolve when he started to open himself to what he was feeling. Great read and cannot wait to read the next one!

Hawk seems to have all the problems of his world falling on his shoulders. Complete chaos is hitting the Sons of Sangue MC in more ways than one. A rival motorcycle club forgets their place. Losing beloved, loyal brothers to an enemy and Viper is missing. The one thing that will set Hawk over the edge just walked through the door. Hawk can’t keep his head straight with the brunette beauty, Suzi in his mind, let alone his sight. Overwhelmed with desire, anger and hate Hawk pushes Suzi to the edge. Once there it, maybe he who falls first!
Suzi, after being gone for months walks back into a door that could damn near break her to get out of again. Vampires, motorcycles and romance, this book has it all. Patricia Rasey continues her Sons of Sangue series with Hawk. Kaleb "Hawk" Tepes is now the leader of the Sons after his twin Viper steps down as president of the club and someone is trying to kill him. As Hawk and the other club members try to find out who and why someone is trying to kill him,Suzi, a donor, who has been in love with Hawk for a long time, now becomes a target of the killer as well.
I thought Viper was outstanding and couldn't put it down. Ms Rasey has out done herself with Hawk. This is one of the best vampire/MC books I have read all year. The plot and characters were so interesting.Just when you think you can take a breath, Ms Rasey throws in a surprise character that makes you say "Wow". I enjoyed this book so much, I look forward to reading it again. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

I loved Viper, but Ms. Rasey took it up a notch in Hawk which shocked me. I wasn't sure how she could do that, but she did. I wasn't a lover of Hawk, in fact I was mad at him lol. By the middle of this book I was completely in love with him and cheering "Go Hawk". Now, I will say I've claimed one of the Sons "Gypsy" as MINE, however, Ms. Rasey is going to have to redeem him in his book. I have complete faith she will do so beautifully. The woman is an absolutely wonderful writer, and truly amazes me. I thought there was no way I could love Hawks book more than Viper's, but now Viper has slipped past just barely. I look forward to the next book slipping past to take the #1 spot away from Hawk. Way to go Ms. Rasey, if there way a 10 star rating you'd totally get it <3

You can't get much hotter than a Vampire and Biker all rolled up in one sexy bad a$$ package. Hawk is about as sexy as they come and Suzi was a great match for him. Another great story in a series that I am really enjoying. Patricia writes great action packed sexy-as-sin romances and I really can't wait to read more from her.

A great second book of the Sons of Sangue. We even get a surprise in this one.
Hawk is a total manwhore. Rarely ever with the same woman twice in a row. There is one who he makes sure to avoid. He is now the president of the club but seems to be having a run of luck...bad luck that someone is out to kill him but good because it hasn't happened..yet.
Suzi is one of the blood donor's that work out of the bar. Hawk was her first, in more ways than one, years ago and he won't come near her for nothing . She has always been in love with him but he hates her because he thought she was with his nephew at one time.
They have had a lot of kept secrets from each other but the biggest is how they fight their feelings.
Rosalee is still trying to get back at Viper. She thinks they should still be mated and to make Viper suffer she is going after Hawk.
Has great suspense, mystery and don't forget all the steamy naughty bits.
Off to book three

This book was awesome! If you thought Viper was hot, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet! Kaleb, aka Hawk, is the new president of the Sons of Sangue motorcycle club. He is a six-foot-four inch muscle bound, tattoo clad vampire with an ego the size of Texas. And, unfortunately, has a bulls eye on his back from killing a primordial (a very old, very powerful vampire) which is against vampire law and punishable by death. But then Grayson takes over the role as King Asshole when his sexual encounter with Suzi’s friend and fellow blood donor, Tamera, goes terribly wrong. Want to know what happened? Read the book!
Kane and Cara got a significant amount of page time as well. We find out what happens when Cara goes back to her job as a detective and what the couple have been up to since the last book. I also enjoyed seeing more of the Sons emerge and steal some page time as well. It sounds like Xander may have a girlfriend but he’s pretty tight-lipped about it. I’m really excited to meet the rest of the Sons and I hope we see more of them in future books.
Patricia A. Rasey is a wonderful story teller. Her stories are imaginative, unique and a blast to read. I thoroughly enjoyed Hawk and I’m looking forward to the next installment in the series.

Hawk is the second book in the Sons of Sangue series and I truly enjoyed it. It picks up from where Viper left off and just keeps on rolling with some unbelievable surprises.
Kaleb “Hawk” Tepes is now the president of his MC after his brother Viper stepped down. It’s not smooth sailing for Hawk as president; there is still someone out to get the Sons of Sangue or more specifically Hawk himself! Kaleb tries to focus on the person that is after him and his new responsibilities as President. As things get pretty intense for the Sons of Sangue and he tries to navigate all the trouble rolling in Hawk makes the decision to bring Suzi Stevens deeper into his life, who he has a love/hate relationship with for the past ten years. He soon comes to realizes that this might be the best place for her to be.
Suzi has been in love with Hawk for years and has had to stand on the sidelines watching him from afar while struggling with her feelings for him. When things turn ugly for Hawk and the Sons of Sangue Suzi offers her help. But her help comes with a price; the reveal of secrets that can change the perception of someone close to Hawk. What happens when secrets are revealed and the truth finally comes out?
I loved Hawk from when he was introduced in Viper. He is the quintessential Alpha Male! He is a super-hot vampire that rides a bike. Can it get any better? I always felt that he was a little bit of a hard-ass but in his book he actually shows a softer side of course that only comes out with Suzi but it’s great to see. As he finally comes to realize his feelings for Suzi hasn’t changed in years he is forced to confront old jealousies that he has harbored for years. When Suzi was introduced in Viper I felt she was nothing more than an airhead blood donor. In Hawk Suzi really comes into her own, she is a complex character that finally gets her time to shine. She is extremely loyal and is willing to help Hawk out regardless of how he has treated her in the past and knowing that she might get hurt in the process. Together Hawk and Suzi generate some pretty heavy chemistry.
Hawk is one wild ride! It is well written with a really great story line…Vampires and MC, a great combination. Viper and all the other members of the Sons of Sangue continue to be a huge part of the story and help create a wonderful cast of characters (what made me most happy was finding out what happened to Viper and Cara!). Hawk also deliverers some OMG surprises that are making me crave the next book in the series. If you enjoy paranormal, MC or really any romance with a sexy alpha male and sweet heroine than Hawk is the book.

After the sentence was handed down to Viper to step down as President after he broke the rules of the club, Hawk(Kaleb), Kane's twin, stepped up from Vice President to become President. This book starts approximately six months after Viper stepped down. After stepping down Kane and Cara disappeared and no one in the MC had known where they had gone, but knew after time they would come back.
Throughout this book we get to learn a lot more about the history between Hawk and Suzi. They have a love and hate relationship that goes both ways. Suzi has been a member of the donor society for the last ten years and had serviced many of the Son’s of Sangue during that time. But no matter how hard she tried, she could never forget about the connection she had with Hawk when she lost her virginity to him at the age of 18.
Hawk didn’t see anything but hatred when he looked at Suzi, or at least that is what he would tell himself. He thought she was a ‘cold-hearted bitch’ that didn’t deserve anything, which is what led him to take her on as his personal donor and she could service no one else. He saw this as a way to punish her and make her pay for the past. Hawk didn't know that by doing this he would not only torture her but himself as well.
After the first book I wasn’t too sure how I could like Kaleb, since he seemed to be a playboy vampire who just used the women for his own needs and cared about no-one but himself. Throughout this book, I got to see not only a new side of him, but also some of the other brothers as well. This opened my eyes and reminded me of the commitment and devotion that the MC members showed to each others and those they cared for.
This book has a lot of drama between not only the MC with the primordial’s from Italy, namely Rosalie, but also with the Knights MC and whoever was trying to behead Hawk. The raw emotion and attraction between Hawk and Suzi drew me in and made me wish for a happy ending to occur among all the madness. The author does not disappoint in this book and I can’t wait to see what will come next for the Son’s of Sangue MC in the next book.

Between 2-3 stars, like the first. I'm rounding up because it's still a series that I'd be willing to continue.
Ten years ago, Kaleb (H) and Suzi (h) slept together once. He then tried to sleep with anything in a skirt so as to not get hooked on Suzi. She became friends with his nephew Ion to overcome the pain, which Kaleb took to be a more romantic relationship. When Ion died, Suzi didn't grieve as Kaleb thought she should, so he wrote her off as cold-hearted. And thus, their opinions and animosity were set for the next decade. Recent events have brought them back into each others' orbits, and despite her dislike of him, Suzi still worries over Kaleb's near escapes from death. Will they be able to walk away a second time, or will their attraction win out? Or will the unknown enemy succeed in taking Kaleb's head off first?
I like the premise for this series. Yes, it's kinda on the absurd side (vampire bikers! serial killers! drugs and gun running! romance!), but combining the supernatural and the biker elements could make for a good action/paranormal romance. There are some interesting takes on the standard mythology that could make for an interesting series as the stories move forward.
I liked the leads in this one better than I liked the leads from the first, but I still had issues with them and their romance. Really, the whole first half (almost 2/3!!) of the book was them circling about each other trying to hurt each other over a misunderstanding/lack of communication from 10 years ago. Both of them were rather childish, for being an immortal and a woman close to 30. I mean, Kaleb is holding a grudge over a woman who moved on from him - when he moved on first! And to think that she didn't grieve properly in front of him, so therefore she's a cold b*tch. How does he know how she grieved in private? And Suzi just kept looping back to him, no matter how badly he treated her. At least she wasn't stubbornly stupid like Cara had been, but she still had her idiotic moments. Once they finally aired out their misunderstandings (of course, yielding to hormones first), I liked them better, but it still smacked quite a bit of instalove.
We aren't fully free of Kane and Cara (leads from book 1). They have chapters they narrate here too. I still wasn't fond of them - especially Cara - but they definitely improved from in Viper. I was super happy when she went back to work at the sheriff's office and realized that "no wonder Kane and his brothers had been pissed" at her investigation in book 1. She was really a blind and inept investigator then, so it was really nice to see that NOW she gets it!!
Overall, it's the writing itself where this series loses points.

There are some very archaic terms (the bikers 'blaspheme' when they swear) and at times the writing feels old-fashioned, but at the same time, there are quite a lot of f*cks sprinkled throughout too. Trying to balance the flowerly, old-fashioned vampire element with the rough biker language, it's odd at times. Like when a human biker talks about "that call of distress"... just odd.
We got more of the club interaction than in book 1, but there are still some weird moments. Still lots of details on the actual bikes, but then the people themselves can be shaky. Though there was more fleshing out than in book 1. Most awkward for me was still the inconsistency with the real names and road names. Most books pick one and stick to it - I mean, family might use the real name, but the clubs tend to use the nicknames. Here, they tend to float back and forth, even within a conversation.
The biggest problem I had with the writing was well, the actual writing. Liked I said, it's an interesting mix of old-fashioned and flowery (and crossing into "wordy"), with more contemporary and faster paced languge. This created some weird pacing, and lots of repetitions in descriptions. Like how quickly their blood regenerated so quickly that they couldn't feel the effects - fully explained every time they complained about not being able to be drunk. Or the number of times we hear about how Gypsy attracts women with no effort. And don't even get me started on the lustful passages - the number of times we had to hear about her "small, pert breasts"! Just repetitive passages, which end up slowing down the story.
Another side effect of the wordiness: trying to be too fancy and using words incorrectly. There were quite a lot of these. Lots of incorrect phrases, incorrect idioms, and incorrect verb forms. Concede vs concur, insured vs ensured, that sort of thing. One that happened a lot (13 times by my Kindle search) was "sure in the hell." The phrase is "sure as hell." That one was really starting to get to me. There were also a fair amount of homophone errors (heroin/heroine, morn/mourn, etc) and one letter typos (gavel/gravel, platonic/plutonic, etc). Overall, enough to notice and maybe irritate, but not enough to really pull you out. The flowery sentence structure was more of a hurdle than the typos - quite a number of sentences that I had to reread a few times to make sense of.

Alternating 3rd person POV. Mostly Kaleb and Suzi, but also several other characters narrate. No love triangle or cheating (despite Kaleb constantly wanting to break away from Suzi, he never does). No OW/OM drama either. Overall, half the book is spent with the leads trying to hurt each other by not letting the other go, until they finally talk and clear the air. It's more the flowery and repetitive writing and lack of thorough editing that bring down what could have been an interesting urban fantasy/SPN romance. HEA for the leads, though no long-term epilogue. I'm sure we'll see more of them in subsequent books, though, with how their HEA plays out. Not really a cliffhanger, but the leads for book 3 and their conflict have been introduced.
Would I read more? Yes. Books 1-4 have all been available on Kindle as free or reduced finds. I'll give the series a chance and see if things improve, steady out. Not looking forward to book 3, though. Not sympathetic to Tamera all too much (reaping the rewards of her own drunken idiocy), nor to Gypsy (caught in an unpleasant situation not of his making, but he's still acting like an ass). Plus it's a love triangle set up (Anton doesn't get his own story until book 4, so things won't go well for him next volume).

Well what can I say I liked the idea of vampires and bikers enough I went on with the second in the series hoping to like it more, well I liked it a little more. Of course that would probably have something to do with going ahead and skimming the annoying repetitive inner thoughts of both Kaleb and Suzi after realizing it was going to be like the first book.
I really didn't like either one of them for the entire first half of the book, so until about halfway I skipped whole pages unless it had something to do with the threat to the MC. By the second half I liked them both and liked them together but not enough to really care because it just took way too long to do this crazy thing....talking to each other.
I could have done without Cara's stupid little move in this one, I can see why the MC wouldn't have trusted her going back to her job and she proved them correct in that. Of course that was just swept under the rug for the time being.
Then there was Tamera in all her ignorance, poor Grayson. Yes he acted like an ass but in this case I totally don't blame him, she was just pathetic. First throwing herself at him then doing what she did, being a donor she knew better or at least should have.
The best thing about this one was once again the crap about Rosalee and then Vlad showing up. But that was left hanging as well so I didn't even get the satisfaction of finally seeing an end to her craziness. Needless to say with what happened with Tamera in this one I won't be continuing with this series. It has a great story line, the whole MC and vampires thing is great but I can't deal with so many dense females or the asshole males for over half the book, not to mention way too much inner dialogue to wade through. Honestly I can see why these guys don't want mates after the way the 3 have behaved so far....

This is book 2 of the Sons of Sangue book series by author Patricia Rasey. I thought book 1 was great and Patricia Reasy did not let me down with book 2.

The character Kaleb is more cold hearted bad boy You just can't help but love the bad boy when he tries to show his love to his female character Suzi. Great story line and the characters work so well together that they make the book worth the read.
Trying to find out who is out for his head and coming to terms with his feeling for a gal, Kaleb also has to deal with his brothers in the gang. Kaleb and Kane work together to find out the truth.
Because of strong language and sexual content this book is for mature paranormal readers. Patricia Rasey has outdone herself with Hawk in my opinion and I hear book 3 will be just as good as the first 2.

Short Review
Love this series! Takes my love for MC novels and mixes it was my love for paranormal romances and vampires and comes out with one heck of a story. Hawk is the second in this series and so far each book gets better and better. I can't wait for book 3. The Alpha vamps are everything you could want in a main character with their bad boy attitude and biker ways. The heroines are personable and not completely pushovers.
I would highly recommend this series gave ita 5 stars and a don't miss for all you MC fans and PNR fans..a must read.

I am so glad I downloaded this book after reading Viper. While I liked Viper's story and character, I thought the story was a bit "slow" at times. I did however like it enough to purchase Hawk. I was a bit surprised at how short a story Hawk was compared to Viper but Hawk really kicked it up a notch. The book was a great pace and a great story. I look forward to spending more time with the sons and their mates - wanted or not ;)

I got the box set of the first three books in this series. I won't lie and say I didn't giggle when I read it was about vampire bikes...but I'm glad I picked it up! I had a lot of fun with these characters. The MC part of the books weren't exactly what you think of when you read about MC's (I mean the serious hard ass/scary type of guys) but it wasn't a big deal to me. I really liked the guys and girls in all three books.

I'm really enjoying this series. I didn't really expect Kaleb "Hawk" to be open to loving Suzi, let alone ever wanting to take a mate, but as the story moves along you can see a subtle change in his attitude. I loved getting to see Kane and Cara again and see how they are doing as mates. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Gypsy is going to handle his situation in the next book.

Wow! Didn't see that end coming. Sexy and suspenseful and filled with some hot-hot-hot vampires, this book is as good (if not better) than "Viper." Yum, yum, yum!

I'm still not sold on this series but it's growing on me. I can't stand the macho bullshit or how misogynistic the male characters are and how they treat the females like dirt. I just cannot respect any man who treats a woman like crap ever.
I thought Kaleb aka Hawk was a giant dickhole for the way he treated Suzi and his attitude towards all women which was they are only good for sex and feeding. He's a vampire.
Ten years ago, Kaleb took Suzi's virginity and walked away from her because he was frightened about how she made him feel. He flaunted tons of women in her face. She turned to his nephew as a friend but he thought they were lovers so when he told Suzi that his nephew, Ion, was murdered and Suzi hadn't reacted like Kaleb thought she should, he began to hate her. He thought she was cold-hearted.
What Kaleb didn't know was that Suzi just pretended to date Ion so he could hide the fact that he was gay. She kept his secret after he died.
Suzi is a blood donor for the Sons of Sangue who are all vampires but she retired herself and hid out for six months after Kaleb kissed her one night. Kaleb, who has feelings for her but also hates her demands that she become his personal blood donor to torture her.
I liked Suzi because she had spunk and didn't make it easy on him at first but she still had feelings for him which bugged me because if someone treated me like that, I could only resent them.
Meanwhile, we still have Rosalee, the primordial vampire with a grudge against Kaleb's brother Kane. She thinks killing Kaleb will hurt Kane enough that he'll turn to her. She really has messed up thinking.

Wow! This book came out swinging from the first page and never stopped! There was so much action going on and new subplots springing up that I the dangers surrounding him. found it very hard to stop reading, which I finally did in the wee hours of the morning. This story has great character development in it, and it answered questions I had from the first book. Patricia didn't leave me wondering what happened to the H/H from book one but pulled it all together neatly in this one. Resolution is a very good thing where readers are concerned!
The journey Suzi and Kaleb take toward their HEA is a very painful one, painful because of Kaleb's granite stubbornness and jealousy. I seriously wanted to kick his ass many times over. However, their story is very much one of redemption, and when Kaleb realizes the error of his thinking he becomes his own worst critic. I love to see heroes eat crow! Suzi is a steadfast rock in all of this, although she realizes that her chances of being hurt or loved are 50/50, but she doesn't give up on Kaleb. When Kaleb realizes her true worth, he gives everything to keep her.
