This book was SO worth it. I had insanely high expectations going in, especially after hearing about the drama adaptation, and now I’m even more excited because I already know Lu Yuxiao and Lin Yi are going to absolutely kill these roles.

This book was SO FUNNY, I was laughing so hard with Fu Shize's nonchalant act. His personality made the whole story so entertaining.

Now about the actual book, this couple completely won me over. Their relationship felt so comforting. Compared to The First Frost and Secretly, Secretly; But Unable to Hide, this story felt way fluffier and lighter. Nothing will ever beat “she’s a little crazy” level of fluff for me, but this came REALLY close.

i fully get it why zhu yi's works gets an adaptation. fu shize and lun yi's story is gentle and slow, focusing more on feelings than action, and shows how meaningful connections can form even in silence.

can't wait them to come to life.

read the eng translation in anticipation of the cdrama and really enjoyed it. wish i could read chinese so i could experience it fully but unfortunately dilly dally'ed in chinese class too much in my childhood and regret it now

My first five stars reads after so long 🙌🏻🙌🏻

I can't wait for the drama to come out because the book itself is already too good. Zhu Yi really knows how to write a whole ass green forest men. The character development of Fu Shize is just so good. The fact that he wanted to change, to move on from his trauma because Lili just needs his reassurance is something that I really look up from him.
