Gli Agenti delle Quattro Stagioni: La Danza della Primavera, Vol. 2

«Non lasciarmi sola. Ti prego, torna.»

Reading this was an interesting experience. Objectively, barely anything happens for the majority of the story — or at least, things are happening, just at a snail’s pace. Yet the prose and the way it’s structured feels like such a whirlwind, twisting and turning as it coaxes out all of the characters’ deepest anxieties and revelations. I find the writing to be both unrefined and utterly engrossing at the same time, and it’s that juxtaposition that keeps me intrigued to keep reading. Plus, the characters are just so earnest in the way they’re presented, with Hinagiku’s story in particular being quite heart breaking. The different characters devotion to each other, while not very realistic and nuanced, is also refreshing. Sometimes it’s just nice to read a story about people being good to each other simply because they choose to.

“𝑆ℎ𝑒 𝑖𝑠 𝑠𝑝𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑖𝑡𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑓, 𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑢𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑝𝑒𝑜𝑝𝑙𝑒.”

This was like a breath of fresh air. There's just something so relaxing about people being kind, even though they've suffered so much, they're still able to retain that kindness and help others in need.

The author's note at the very end gave me so much comfort, Akatsuki-san, thank you for the warm blanket.

yes, i still subjected myself into reading this despite not liking the first book. i was still hoping that the writing would improve because it's a complete waste of concept if it didn't. and it really didn't improve.

the writing is still a mess, and the dialogues were so corny. it honestly felt like the author wanted it to be animated so badly.
