She’s been wounded before. He’s convinced women are untrustworthy. A bloody rivalry could destroy them both...
Fleeing her past, Willow moves to Vista Maria to pursue her dream and open a midnight coffee shop. She expects to draw in the graveyard shift…not the actual undead. All Willow wants is an escape but ends up in the middle of a city full of vampires. To make matters worse Gage, the tall, blonde leader of the Vista Maria family arrives, accidentally making her a target for the Miami family’s vindictive leader.
Grief, fear, and betrayal have made Gage a monster more savage than a vampire. Determined to save the sliver of humanity he has left, he shifts his focus to rebuilding the Vista Maria name. That is, until he’s forced by his boys to try the new coffee house in his city…
Will Gage and Willow escape their haunting pasts? Or will it be the death of more than just their love?
This was so fun!! Cozy, vampires, and spice was all I needed to know to pick this up and did not disappoint! It has so many tropes that I love - a snarky, badass FMC; grumpy-sunshine, touch her and I’ll kill you MMC; and found family. It was fast paced but easy to follow and I was hooked from the beginning.
I would have liked to see a little more tension between Gage and Willow before getting together, and some deeper explorations of character development (but I’m a sucker for character development so that might just be me). Overall I really enjoyed this story and its characters and I’m excited to read the next one!
I had the awesome experience to be an Arc reader for this up and coming author. I found this title to be well thought out, with memorable characters and a cohesive story line. Beth Page's ability to introduce her plot and keep her reader dangling for the next tasty morsel made me grab another cup of coffee and nibble away deep into the witching hour. I'm looking forward to her next installment of high energy, quick paced and just the right amount of spice drama. Willow and Gage are just the beginning of a dreadfully gorgeous author/reader relationship.
I had the honor of becoming an ARC reader for Beth and I must say luck was on my side with this one! I loved this storyline so much and couldn’t get enough!!! I do wish there was more yearning within the first book but I think that is just a me thing personally. As someone who is very hesitant to read about vampires, I can say I think I may of been converted…
Thank you for adding me to your ARC team Beth! What a joy it was to read!
OMG!!!! Such a great read, I was hooked from the first chapter!!! Little bit of everything, smut, love, violence, friendship... I can't wait for book 2. Beth Page, you are on my list of favorite authors!!! Definitely must read!!!! 💜😈
A strong-willed girl with a troubled past determined to get a fresh start? A broody broken vampire boy avoiding love and burdened with responsibility? Say less - I devoured this book and can’t wait for the next one!
What a great new vampire romance series! I recommend this new fantasy/romance to anyone looking for a new series to start! The author pulls out some thrill but also throwing in some good smut to keep it spicy! I can't wait for the next book!
I absolutely relate to Willow being so blatantly oblivious to the things that are right in front of her. I knew right away me and Willow were gonna be besties. Gage is an asshole, but once you get to know him you learn its a personality trait and not a personality flaw. He is a teddy bear. I love that Beth was able to write TWO main characters who both have trauma, without making either of them victims. It takes a strong author to write characters this strong. Chapter 17 is my favorite chapter. IYKYK. IYDK, go read chapter 17 and come back to me lol. I cannot wait to see the rest of the stories, and how Vista Maria transforms.
