Coming from a family of lawyers, Nikki Goldstein bucked the trend and became a journalist. Despite journalism being a perfectly respectable profession, her father never stopped worrying about her or being suspicious of journalists. To prove to him she could make a “proper” living, she wrote 11 books and was an awarded copywriter and journalist. It didn’t help. Her Dad was still worried.
Nikki began her career at Vogue and went on to hold senior editorial positions at Elle and Marie-Claire. She’s well known for GirlForce, a teen girl self-empowerment series of seven books. The series was published in the USA, Russia, Israel and Greece. In 2004 GirlForce won a prestigious Australian Publishing Association award, the Random House Best Designed Children’s Series.
With a passion for helping people be their best selves, and ignoring her parent’s worst fears, Nikki has studied counselling and Jungian studies (heaven knows she needed to).
When she's not working on her publishing business, Go2Guru, which has just launched its 5th book, she’s attending to her two needy dachshunds, Archie and Sunny, or doing yoga on her deck in Sydney.
Shadow Work Oracle workbook establishes the power you have when you accept your dark side, embracing it as much as you do the light.
Nikki Goldstein has written a supportive workbook with everything you will need along the journey you are about to embark upon.
With simple exercises that you can incorporate into your daily life, this book is brimming with prompts that are bound to enlighten you.
It's all about living whole, being your authentic self and not being ashamed of being you.
Goldstein introduces you to Shadow Work and the benefits that you may receive. Although, it is explained that this journey of self discovery is not for the faint hearted, you are continuously reassured and validated throughout these pages.
I found it interesting, learning about Jungian Philosophy and all about other people's experiences with Shadow Work along with the author's.
We are powerful beings, but suppressing our shadows holds us back from our full potential. It is very much about recognising and accepting every inch of our being. We are a ball of beaming light and need to learn to accept every ray that shines from our soul.

The Shadow Work Oracle Workbook immediately caught my eye with its beautiful cover and promise of deep self-discovery. As a fan of Oracle Cards, I was drawn to the way this book blends shadow work with the mystic role of the Oracle, making it an exciting read.
What sets this book apart from typical self-help works is its holistic approach. Instead of focusing on a single method, Nikki weaves together Jungian psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, tarot wisdom, and more, creating a rich, multi-dimensional experience. The exercises guide you through integrating your shadow and offer an ongoing process of discovery rather than a one-time revelation.
I loved that the book not only helps you face your shadow but also empowers you to become your own Oracle. There’s a surprise near the end that sparked my creativity, adding a personal, unexpected element to the journey. Nikki’s deep passion for shadow work is evident, and it’s clear she genuinely wants to help others unite their souls.
Though labeled as a workbook, it reads like a spiritual journey—one that I know I’ll return to again and again. "Shadow Work Oracle" is an enlightening guide to self-acceptance and transformation, and I highly recommend it to anyone ready to embrace their wholeness.

A must-read for anyone interested in delving deeper into their psyche
As a long-time practitioner of shadow work, I have read countless books on the topic. However, none have been as impactful as this one. Written by a highly experienced expert in the field, this book exudes credibility and authenticity. What sets it apart is its practicality - filled with exercises that are both accessible and powerful for those new to shadow work. The author seamlessly blends explanations, background information, and exercises to create a transformative experience for readers. I especially appreciated how the author breaks down maturity in shadow work into different phases, emphasizing that it is a life-long journey worth exploring. And the incorporation of attachment theory adds another layer of depth to this already well-crafted book. If you only had time for one exercise from this book, I'm confident it would still bring positive change into your life. A must-read for anyone interested in delving deeper into their psyche.
"...acknowledge and accept all parts of yourself."
The book aims to help you unite the darkness and the light in you toward a better understanding and acceptance of yourself. The exercises in the book are enlightening and allow you to connect with your innermost thoughts. The dialoguing with the shadow was a fun activity, but make sure you are alone when you do this so that people won't think you are losing it, and for better concentration, make sure pets are not around too. Another exercise helped me recognize that I fall under the caregiver archetype, which means I must ensure that I have a good balance between the shadow and light side. The dream symbols are another excellent chapter, as recently, I have been having more vivid dreams that I find myself searching for their meaning.
Nikki Goldstein’s Shadow Work Oracle Workbook is a powerful guide for those ready to explore their inner darkness and light. 🌑✨ Blending Jungian psychology with modern practices like CBT, tarot, and mindfulness, this workbook offers a holistic approach to self-discovery. 🧠🔮
The exercises are accessible yet profound, guiding readers to unite their light and dark sides. Goldstein’s focus on becoming the healer and seer of your own life makes this journey both empowering and transformative. 🌟🔍
A must-have for anyone serious about shadow work, this book will help you unlock hidden aspects of yourself and cultivate deep self-love and acceptance. 💖💫
It’s an ideal read to make changes in life “Shadow Work Oracle Workbook” is the perfect guide to transform your being into a wiser and illuminated person. By doing so, you should be an open-minded person to understand this dichotomy of the dark and light side of a person and most importantly, always accept yourself. Every chapter delves into aspects connected to a holistic perspective of every human-being. It seems rather confusing at the beginning but then, you’ll understand the nitty-gritty of this workbook. For sure, after reading this book, you’ll find your potential to embrace a tolerant and comprehensive life. The way it's explained is so clear that there’s no room to doubt. I found Nikki Goldstein’s really inspirational and worth the while since it leaves a teaching for life.
This self-help workbook uses a blend of Jungian psychology, ancient Greek wisdom and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help you work on your shadow self, become more self-aware, uncover your subconscious, and much more. I liked the exercises in the book which assist you in focusing on one aspect at a time and mastering that. The book also introduces one to “ritual” and imagery to help manifest your dreams and desires. I found the mix of philosophies to be a bit of a hodge-podge that could have been better integrated, but there are plenty of useful thoughts and exercises in this book nevertheless. I am giving it four out of five stars.
This book is absolutely practical and very easy to follow. Many times, we believe that we are not capable of beginning a spiritual search, that we do not have the ability to meditate or reflect on our actions. This book breaks each of those stigmas and shows us that reaching the depths of our being is possible with patience and proper guidance. I never knew how to meditate or create a calm space to relax my head, however, I felt that the author took my hand and helped me connect with myself. The book’s format is pretty good, well-developed and organized; all these make the reading experience more than invaluable!
I must admit I was skeptical when a friend recommended the "Shadow Work Oracle Workbook" to me. However, after reading the book, I realized that my skepticism was necessary to fully appreciate its depth and transformative power. What distinguishes it is its holistic approach to self-discovery, which combines aspects of our personalities that are frequently kept separate.
Personally, I believe that this book has been an invaluable resource. It has helped me reveal previously hidden aspects of myself. It has the power to profoundly enhance your life and offer you a fresh perspective on yourself. Highly recommended!
This book is part self-help, part psychology, and part mystical. Starting from the basis in which shadows are considered as that which we do not want to be, this book offers a way of acceptance and transformation. What I liked the most was that it doesn't propose to remove some personality traits but it talks about fusing light and darkness to bring out the greatest possible potential of that. There are parts with which I connected deeply and others with which not so much, but in short, I think it was very interesting and I was able to learn many things from this reading. Shadow Work Oracle Workbook is a very good book written by Nikki Goldstein. I recommend it!
It is a deeply engaging guide if going through a self discovery and healing journey. What caught my attention was the merging of different techniques like a type of psychology, some mindfulness, some tarot. I like this holistic approach to embrace the inner self in each reader. The author's personal experiences add some intimate touch in the spiritual narrative of the book. It is a very interesting trip down under each self, while going through the book is like the reader will go layer by layer until trying to fix the inner child traumas. Overall, I think this book is packed with exercises and affirmations in a very accessible book for a lot of readers.
This is a self-help book that delves into the concept of Shadow Work Oracle. It takes us on a journey towards our true self and towards a topic which may not be known but everybody out there. The author is generous enough and gives us a lot of tips and tools for us to understand these concepts related to our inner selves better. The narrative makes us reflect, and it has a positive approach to anything that may happen inside our minds. I liked the fact that Goldstein talks to us using a clear language and that she included some exercises and techniques at the end that would help us reflect even more.
this was an interesting book. read and looked at the workbook part. learned some interesting information. explore the depths of your psyche and merge your lightness and darkness. some of the things that is talked about, i can relate to. love some the examples she talks about which make sense when you think about it. the workbook goes beyond others, leaving a lasting impact on your spiritual journey. If you’re ready to explore your inner mystic, consider diving into this book. this more than just a book—it’s a flashlight guiding you toward profound wisdom and power.
I found, “Shadow Work Oracle Workbook by Nikki Goldstein”, to be a very unique read with useful insights from past philosophers and seers, “which the author uses as a guide to develop the Shadow Work ‘our inner child, ego, weaknesses, strengths, or struggles’ and various techniques/prompts/exercises to improve the pathway to becoming a Oracle”. I’m paraphrasing here, “Dive into the darkness, discover your Shadow and release your inner Oracle”.
It is written in a systematic and well-organized manner. It gives concrete examples of our shadow, diagnostic questions to determine which stage of soul evolution are you at, breathing exercises and different helpful strategies.
