That aside, The Ultimates (2024) as a whole may be the first ever actually good comic book that is actually worth the time to spend reading very cool. Though I'm surprised a book about a group of individuals fighting against a fascist world government would be this popular in a country with a bunch of stupid fucking dumbass idiot ********ing ****s that will gladly elect a cartoonishly evil government to the point where the guy using a punch described as 32x the strength of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima seems like a more realistic character than this country's actual politicians. I think somewhere in that sentence I strayed a bit from the point I was trying to make but I think you get my point.

The character in this book "Jim Hammond" (The Human Torch) is given the brief bio of having "Killed Hitler" and maybe what this country really needs is our own Jim Hammond.

I of course aM simpLY tellING a joke in that last sentence and would never advocate for such a thing as it is completely and utterly wrong.

This is the flashpoint event of the series (as far as I’ve read), and it doesn’t pull its punches (literally). Remember the old Justice League cartoon, where there would usually be only a handful of members in an episode, so when all of them were together, you knew shit was about to go down? Well, it’s the same thing here because we get a beautiful full-page spread of all our heroes locked in on a rescue mission, only to realize that they were duped by the Hulk. And this Hulk makes 616-Bruce look like a cuddly kitten for how badly he disassembles our heroes. She-Hulk gets her hand ripped off, Tony nearly gets killed, and the rest of our heroes get their cheeks clapped by the Immortal Weapons of K’un-Lun! I’m sure that Camp intended for us readers to believe that the Ultimates were on the right path of change based on their huge roster, but it didn’t stand a chance against just one member of the Cabal! I haven’t gotten past issue #10 as of writing this, so I can’t wait to see how their inevitable rematch goes, let alone their final battle against the Maker!

Parecía existir una última barrera que superar ante la comparativa evidente con el Universo Ultimate original y podía ser el tratamiento de la violencia gráfica desatada. En este punto esta versión de Hulk tendría mucho que demostrar. Y pasando de la excelente reformulación con los poderes místicos de las Ciudades Celestiales el contundente encontronazo con Los Ultimates se muestra con todo el sudor y sangre que apisona la cabecera de Deniz Camp al punto de recrear uno de los momentos más perturbadores del evento Ultimatum con más gracia y acierto.

Me gusta la formación de los Ultimates, siento que es completamente parecida, pero al mismo tiempo diferente a otras que he visto.

Ya en la historia, puedo decir que me encantó, no sólo por lo crudo de las situaciones, sino también por todo lo que vivieron.

La mano de She-Hulk, eso me impactó, y creo que veo a la primera antorcha humana interactuando.

Holy crap!! Deniz Camp can write biting political commentary and wild fight scenes, even in the same issue! Juan Frigeri brings an Immortal Hulk vibe to the book with some crunching body horror. This is the best book in the current Ultimate Universe line and it ain’t even close.
