Delilah Newman-Russel has been groomed to be the perfect heiress daughter of the elite Russel family. As she returns to the prestigious Highland Bridge Academy to attend university, immersing herself in the world of academic prestige and high society, she is quickly and brutally reminded of the academy’s deceptive façade—as well as the person who made her leave in the first place: Archer Lockwood.
Archer Lockwood, the imperfect golden child of the elite Lockwood family himself, is indifferent to the life his calculating, conniving father has planned. Business endeavors, wealth, power, and the hollow prestige of Highland Bridge Academy hold little to no appeal. Yet when Delilah returns, he finds himself inevitably drawn back, unable to stay away from her.
Making an enemy out of their family rival’s son was crucial for Delilah to stay away from Archer. But Archer can’t help himself. She belongs to him. And he has never let her forget it.
As secrets and lies are brought to light, getting involved with her lifelong tormentor becomes a recipe for an enticing disaster. And as the threat of betrayal lurks, fighting to finally claim the forbidden woman who captivated him the moment he laid eyes on her may just end in an inevitable catastrophe…
A catastrophe if Archer can’t keep Delilah in discretion.

Ok….I definitely liked this one better than the first book. Primarily because it was nice to fast forward and have an update on the main people from the first book. I loved Delilah when she was young, she was sweet, mischievous and fun. Now she’s 20 and the same but really under her dad’s thumb. Killian has always been a control freak but this was next level. I didn’t care for Archer in book 1 because I thought he was a creepy 5 year old. Loved him in book 2. This author has so much potential, but needs to slim down her books. She puts so much extra filler and to many side stories that she could pair down a book 100-200 pages and make the book more intriguing without dragging out the storyline.
Rating this a one cause I can’t go lower, reading this was like agreeing to get tortured for freeeee, the characters are so mind numbing stupid!!! The adults piss me off the most like Wtfffff it’s like watching kids play house
Absolutely love this book Found it on wattpad long ago and now reread it I’m so happy to see Killian and Brielle again(my shaylas Fr) Absolute recommend.
