This series has been INCREDIBLE. With every new development I'm hooked farther and farther into this world. This book was the perfect follow up to book one after Spencer found out what she did about the lives the guys live. I'm freaking out for book 3 because I thought the cliffhanger at the end of book 1 was bad! This one has me feral! But my gosh was it worth the wait. So I know the wait for book 3 will be even more worth it!
I absolutely love the character development for each of these characters. But especially Spencer. She is so unbelievably badass. In book one we learn a lot about what she's been through but this book teaches us even more. And I didn't think my heart could break even more for her than it already had.
The balance that Ivy has created for these men is just flawlessly done. From Asher the grumpy standoffish special agent, to Rio the playful MMC with an adorable family, and Zane the sweet forceful lawyer! These three men might have technically kidnapped Spencer, but the way they went about it will have you swooning. The ultimate goal is to protect her and will always be to protect her. Ah. I just love them!

This second book takes you further into each of the characters lives. Questions we all had after reading the first book are answered in this one. Except for Asher, he’s still holding out on us.
These poor broken men. You can’t help but love them. The things Rio or Zane have been through and Asher… I equally want to give him a comforting hug and wack him upside the head at the same time.
We get a lot more 🔥🔥 in this book. There are 3 hot men of course so what is Spencer supposed to do with her spare time??
Horny Spencer is hilarious but snarky Spencer is an absolute hoot!
I was totally expecting the cliffhanger after the one we were left with in the first book but Ivy, Ivy, Ivy… You can’t just leave us there.

I loved coming back into the world of the Devils of New York, ever since falling in love with Asher, Rio & Zane in Fractured Fear, book 1. I took my time reading, because I wanted to savour being back in this world :)
Starting back where we left off, Spencer is having to question her trust and feelings towards Asher, Zane and Rio. There are a lot of pieces at play here and Spencer may be the key to finding out some answers.
Though Spencer is coming into her own and has her own baptism by fire, choosing to shed her insecurities and self-doubt. Allowing herself to break free of others controlling her life, she owns her rage.
Finding space to accept the guys’ love and accepting it’s them against the world, together.
Rio & Zane love Spencer so fiercely and passionately that they are OTTJP in the best way. I loved the scenes with them and Spencer, slowly breaking down her walls again.
Spencer and Asher have their own slight enemies to lovers dance, with a push /pull tension that is just waiting to snap!
At just over 200pages, this book really packs a punch, it gets you thinking and tests you to connect the dots.
Not everything is at it seems.
Be warned, there is a cliffhanger, though it just lures you in and you will be counting down the days until book 3, Veiled Vengeance comes out to see what happens next!

If you want a dark, very spicy, why choose romance, this is the book for you! Spencer certainly has her hands full with our three MMC’s, especially Rio and Zane. While I think Rio will always be my favorite, I’ve enjoyed seeing Asher’s character grow more. Ivy has created such a well developed storyline and well developed characters. This book is just the right combination of sexy, gritty and funny. She serves up plot twists you never see coming and leaves you with a cliffhanger that will have you counting down for the next book the second you finish

Tainted Truth picks up where book one left off and does a great job deepening the story. The plot is engaging and builds steadily, with an ending twist that really took me by surprise—but also made total sense considering the professions of Zane, Rio, and Asher. It was clever and added a satisfying layer to the overall story.
Character-wise, I continue to enjoy Zane and Rio a lot, but Asher completely stole the show for me. There’s something about him that just clicks. Spencer, the female MC, did get a little frustrating at times with her behavior, which made her less likable in certain scenes. That said, it didn’t ruin the experience for me—just something that stood out.
The spice level? Through the roof. 🔥 Ivy King doesn’t hold back, and the chemistry between the characters is intense, steamy, and honestly, very well done.
The themes of trust, truth, and identity are woven nicely into the story, and Ivy King’s writing continues to be sharp, emotional, and immersive. There’s a lot of creativity in how this story plays out, especially with the dynamic between the main characters.
Overall, this was a strong follow-up with high stakes, high heat, and a twist I didn’t see coming. I'm excited to see where the series goes next!

There’s definitely some twists and turns throughout this second book of the trilogy.
We start off with the friendly holding hostage of our FMC for her own good 🙈 which leads to forcing some of her men to confront the way they actually feel and for Spencer too (once she lets go of the anger 😅) there is certainly a development in their feelings which coincides with a big leap in the spice in this book 🔥 but it is still balance well with the drama and action. 😀Puppy dog Rio begins to show Spencer what family is really about and he wants her to be the heart of it; Zane is determined to show his love and shower his soulmate Spencer with it; then there’s Asher who is still on the fence but one interview blows his worries aside and protective character into overdrive 😍 you do get some answers in this book in regards to Spencer’s past as well as the serial unaliver case the men are working - some of it you could see coming but one thing I’d didn’t….that ending 😱😱

Another highly anticipated read for me. The first book ended on a cliffhanger, and we were left with more questions than answers. There was also a lot of romantic suspense, and the spice is slowly building up. Well this book gives us so much we were hoping for! We get a lot of answers, more danger, great plot twist. And let’s not forget about the spice. Seriously, the spice is spicing with this one, and I’m in serious need of a cold shower.
If you thought you loved the characters in the first book, trust me when I say that you will love them even more. I loved how Spencer is slowly crawling out of her shell, and gets more determined with each passing page. Her character growth is truly amazing, and I can’t wait to see what she’ll do next.
The story had me in a chokehold from beginning to end. It has a nice pace, and a perfect balance between romance and action. There are some sharp twists to the story, and I was feeling so much on behalf of these characters because of it.
If you thought you loved the characters in the first book, trust me when I say that you will love them even more. I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC of this book and I just have to say this was better than the first!!!!
Ahhhh Asher. I have the BIGGEST soft spot for him. He honestly may end up being my favorite. I really am so excited to see his growth in the next book.
Man oh man do I love Rio. And I loved seeing Rio’s family in this book. I need more from his sisters. And the way he spoke his truth to Spencer with so much feeling broke my heart. And there was almost no hesitation on his part to tell her.
I felt so much for Zane in this book. Like truly felt for him. Zane was another one who spoke his truth and opened up to her in the such a heart wrenching way but it was also beautiful because it showed how much trust was there.
Oh Spencer. That ending hurt and I had a feeling that what happened was going to happen. Like it was just in my gut the way things were dropped during the story. It still didn’t hurt any less. It was one of the best cliffhangers I had read in a while!

WOW like can I just say whatever Ivy dropped in this book to make it so I couldn’t put it down, I’ll take that x3 for the next book because omg this one was amazing!!!!!!
Fully admit my heart is now shattered with that cliffhanger ya left me on but any slow burn felt in book 1? Yep book 2 amped her up and slammed her home lol. I saw so much growth and development in characters here though still secretly hoping for a lil more push on Rio’s relationship but honestly I ain’t mad at all by this one. And ooooo was there drama answering a question for me in an ah ha moment lol I can’t wait for the next one in this series!!!!

Wow! I want to say that is all but I have too many questions, starting with OMG that cliffhanger!!!!!
I had a sneaky suspicion coming into this book about a character that seemed off and my questions were answered in this book and you bet I yelled “I knew it!” At the top of my lunges!
I love that we get more back stories from the boys and even Spencer’s flash backs.
I have to say Horney Spencer made me giggle…a lot. Well done Ivy on another amazing, heart gripping book! Can’t wait for Veiled Vengeance, like seriously…. I CANT wait!!

Wow let me start off by saying this is a book I definitely needed, I’ve been in this weird funk with reading but this was amazing!
The spice was spicy!! Rio is forever my favorite, calling Spencer mama literally has me drooling! Ugh so hot. Zane omg Zane is so filthy but also so sweet and caring! Also Rio and Zane?! Whattttt?! Yes please
Asher, he making me so mad, I know what’s going through his head but come on love on Spencer already 😂😂
The twist at the end killed me, the scream I screamed was ridiculous!
This was fantastic and ready for book three already!!

This book will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. You are not prepared for the second book of the Devils in New York series! I absolutely cannot wait to see what comes next as I am fully ruptured by the story that is being told!
We get to see more rounded set of growth and healing from a lot of the characters as well as explanations as to why they are the way that they are! You will continue to fall in love with these characters as you read!

This one is juicy, we learned more about Rio and Zane’s pasts whilst Asher is still holding out on us, rude. It was great to see Spencer and her men establish more of a connection and start to trust them a bit more.
The plot is unravelling more and I can’t wait to see how it all ends, beware this ends on a cliffhanger.

She did it again!!! Why?!!? I hate that I love the way these books end. You get so drawn into the story that it flies by and right when you get to chaos and moments you need to know what happens next, it's over and you're left wanting for more. I'm addicted to this series. You should absolutely be adding these books to your TBR. The plot, the spice, and the MMCs are *chefs kiss* perfection.

So good! Definitely love the spice between all characters. I hope these men all get their HEA after all the pain they have endured. I can't wait to finally hear Ascher story. I can't wait for the final addition of this story

Listen here. I don’t think I could have put this book down even if I tried. I ate this book up! The back stories of all the characters finally came out and man that spice was 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. As Spencer is not lucky for her trauma she is sooooooo lucky with her protectors 🥵

I could not put this book down! It picked up right where Fractured Fear left off. I love Spencer’s inner monologues and banter with Rio, Zane, and Asher. Rio still cracks me up with his humor and you get to see him and Zane be protective of Rio’s sisters. You get glimpses of the backstory of Rio and Zane. You get a little about Asher and why Spencer is so afraid of Anthony. That cliffhanger and plot twist were so not cool! I need the next book like now! I can’t wait for Veiled Vengeance!!

Feel like you were left hanging at the end of Fractured Fear! Do not worry because Tainted Truths picks up right where FF left off!!!
Spencer finds herself in a bit of a jam with Rio, Asher, and Zane. While she wants to be angry with them she is still drawn to all three of them. All they want to do is protect her and she thinks she needs to protect them by leaving.
Just like in book one, I am still enjoying the dynamics between Spencer and her boys! She learns their truths and lets her heart win out over her mind. The guys do not exactly play fair and I loved that. Let’s just say Asher has his ways of getting her to talk! They want her truths and they get it. This is where the story started breaking my heart for poor Spencer. She is so lucky to have all three of them in her life.
I was not expecting the plot twists that popped up yet I loved them at the same time. Spencer’s past has caught up with her.
Ivy King has done a phenomenal job so far of getting the reader consumed by these four characters. They all work so well together. She has proven she can handle leaving a reader with their jaw on the floor at the end of a book…again! I just hope book three has her feeling for us and she leaves us with a happy heart…LOL!

First of all these cliffhangers will end me. I love the dynamic between the FMC and the MMCs. I am so happy that we are getting to the bottom of all this crazy activity but it's time for Anthony to Go!

WOOOOW!! I think that’s the only word to describe how I felt after finishing Tainted Truth by Ivy King. There is books that you can’t put down and there is books that YOU CAN’T PUT DOWN, this was definitely the latter.
The book was funny, spicy, had a really good plot and a good chunk of romance as well. But what captivated me most was the heartbreaking throwback we got, that just had me in tears and stuck with me long after I finished reading.
I almost don’t want to get in to the ending/cliffhanger because I can’t relive that chock again… 😂 veeery excited for book 3!!

This book had the one thing I desperately wanted and burned for in book 1. Their was plenty of steam, bonding, and battle of wills. It was such an amazing book that it didn't disappoint. I had many mouth dropping moments with its shocks and twist. Loved it. Hurry up, book 3!
