Something I’ve learned recently—no one is who they claim to be.
As I sit strapped to a chair in a warehouse and one of my boyfriends dangles from the ceiling in chains, I learn who it is I can really trust.
Rio and Zane need to find us sooner rather than later. I don’t know how much longer Asher and I can hold on. Our bodies can’t handle all the pain Anthony inflicts on us.
I shouldn’t have hidden in the shadows for so long, waiting for Anthony to find me. Now I yearn to know what vengeance tastes like.
But do I have the strength to do what needs to be done, or will I repeat past mistakes and hide from the man who haunts my dreams?
*This is the final book in The Devils of New York series, and an 18+ dark reverse harem romance with explicit scenes. Check the content warnings before reading.
I've had the pleasure of having the ARC for each one of these books and man am I gonna miss these characters. The trilogy as a whole was amazing but this book to me was the best.
Asher and Spencer's relationship really blossomed in this book and finally seeing all 4 of them together was what I had been waiting for. Our girl Spencer got the revenge she so deserved and was a badass doing it. We learn some shocking new information about some beloved characters and maybe, hopefully, we might get there story. (Ivy, you know who i'm talking about 👀).
Overall I cannot recommend this trilogy enough and you definitely need to add this to your TBR real quick. Thank you so much Ivy for letting me read this entire trilogy early and I cannot wait to see what you do next!
“They say the best vengeance is living well, but sh00ting the person in the face feels just as good.”
This book! WOW, just wow. I ate this book up so fast and enjoyed the other characters getting their own story line so much. Spencer’s redemption arc truly hits hard. It’s gritty, passionate, and downright dirty.
This series is just taking off and I’m so honored to be a part of it, thank you!
“We've always been drawn by this inexplicable need to be in her orbit, to exist where she exists.”
Do you love Law & Order and why choose romance where her boyfriends are boyfriends?? If so, keep on reading!
🖤 Why choose (MMFM) 🖤 FMC on the run 🖤 Morally grey MMCs 🖤 MMCs in law enforcement 🖤 Dark romance 🖤 Book 3 in a series
The mental health rep & feminine rage in this series is truly unmatched. I love the way Spencer heals from her past throughout the trilogy and grows into a more confident, strong woman.
The MMCs Zane, Asher & Rio are just perfect. Their personalities complement each other so well and the group of them together with Spencer provide exactly what they each need. The banter, the feels, the spice 🥵 all just perfect and I cannot read another why choose from Ivy 🤭.
I cannot recommend the Devils of New York series enough. Such an incredible journey Spencer & her men take, and so beautifully written. I cannot wait to read all of Ivy’s next works. This next one has me particularly excited 😏.
Thank you so much to Ivy King for the opportunity to Beta read/ARC review Veiled Vengeance.
*Why Choose *Contemporary *Multi-1st-PoV *FMC on the run *MMCs of the Law *Morally Gray *They fall first *Bad stalking *Serial Unaliver *Established Harem (3) *Mid Burn *Book 3/3 All wrapped up! This final book sees some shock revelations, answers given and families built 🥰 There are some scenes with TWs to be aware of at the beginning, it the focus of this book is on the revenge Spencer deserves and the guys want to give her! Anthony/Cain is determined to do whatever it takes to get Spencer and with that there are some betrayals 😔 thankfully she has the biggest heart 😍 She becomes a lot stronger in this book I felt with standing up for what she needs and putting her foot down with the guys….especially with needing to seek her own vengeance with what she’s gone through! 💪 We finally get the scene all been waiting for between Asher and Spencer, and her connection to Zane and Rio only strengthens 🥰 I found this book a little odd in pacing sometimes, it seemed to zoom at points without a depth and then other times it felt it moved quite slow. But overall a really satisfying ending to this trilogy 😀
I was so excited to get this book in my email! Ivy keeps you hooked with all those darn cliffhangers! Book two left off with several main characters taken by the men Spencer had been running from, and I was very impatiently waiting to find out their fate.
Veiled Vengeance was the perfect end to the Devils of New York trilogy, and I am so grateful I was able to be a tiny part of this journey and ARC read each book, and let me tell you they just kept getting better and better!
Each book has dark aspects, but this one felt the darkest and most heartbreaking. READ TRIGGER WARNINGS
I loved the way the relationships grew and how we finally got to see Asher and Spencer connect in a meaningful way. I just loved all four of them together and watching the way they moved and worked as a unit. Each of her boys played their parts and grabbed out hearts, but it was Spencer who was the star of the show. Her growth and redemption arc was amazing. She was always strong, but in this book she was fierce, and I loved the way she quit being scared to ask for what she wanted and stepped into the relationships fully!!
And can I say Helly Hayes!?! A side character that showed up in a big way, and I am desperate for more of him (hint hint Ivy)
Overall a solid series and if you like a high suspense dark romace, with a healthy dose of “why choose” dive into this series!
YES!!! But also no. I'm so sad to see Spencer and the guy's story come to an end it's been a wild ride through the series and I have loved every minute of it. Spencer finally got her revenge and her HEA. She deserves it and more but I'm glad that the guys gave her that and let her end it all herself. My opinion of the guys has never changed I've loved them from the beginning but I'm so glad Asher pulled his head out and finally embraced the relationship instead of being on the sidelines. YAY ASHER!!!
Aaah what a perfect way to end this trilogy. I’ve absolutely loved this series. I love a book with banter, strong love connections and an interesting plot, this series has all three!!
The book starts with a heavy bang, and when I say heavy I mean heavy. All the emotions came out. Anger. Disgust. Shock. Fear. It’s written in such an amazing way, my pulse was off the charts for the first few chapters.
One of my favourite things in this book was seeing how Asher and Spencer’s relationship blossomed. There’s always been a connection between them too, but what they went through together really strengthen a bond between them.
This whole book was such a roller coaster, and I loved every second of it. I can’t believe the trilogy is over, I’ll be waiting very impatiently for Ivy’s next book!
I had the honour of BETA reading this one, my first ever BETA read, and can only hope to get better. I appreciate you having faith in me to do this Ivy, it was such a pleasure and I had so much fun 🖤
Some favourite quotes and scenes: 🖤 “Asher brings his arm back around me and pulls me into his chest. The warmth from his body seeps into my bones. He clutches me tighter to him to get my body to stop trembling.”
🖤 “We’re here, Princess. We’ll always be here.”
🖤 “Spencer will forever be ours.”
🖤 “I slipped on the only shirt within reach and the glee that took over Rio’s face told me all I needed to know. It’s his.”
🖤 “They’re not those guys that stick together out of familiarity or proximity. Their bond is cemented into their souls because they’ve seen each other in the bad times. They’ve walked through the trenches together. This isn’t just friendship. It’s family.”
🖤 “This is where I belong. This is where I want to be. With them.”
🖤 “Her laughter rings in the air, filling the room with light.”
🖤 “We’ve always been drawn by this inexplicable need to be in her orbit, to exist where she exists.”
🖤 “You only need to ask, and I’ll give you the world, Princess.”
We come to the ending of "The Devils of New York."
At the end of "Tainted Truths," Asher and Spencer were at the hands of her ex-fiance, Anthony, and his partner, Pierce. Truths are revealed that went beyond what Spencer could have ever guessed and she realized she was always in way deeper than she imagined. If the betrayals she learned about weren't bad enough in "TT," she learns of another one in this one.
Throughout the book, the gang discover more about Anthony, what he's after, the people that are in collaboration with him, etc. It finally comes to a head, and while one part of this chapter has closed, there's definitely plenty left open for other books to be written. It's clear there's possibilities for stories about Carmen (one of Rio's sisters who got herself involved with three gang members) and Dahlia (who you'll learn more about in this book!).
I rated this story as about a 4 star because I just didn't find much that stood out a lot in this book. It was good, but not fantastic or the best I've ever read. For some reason, it just didn't "pop" for me.
As I mentioned in my review for the last book, READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS in case you have any. There are some dark themes in this book. If you don't have any, great. If you do, be sure this book is right for you before you dive in.
I just finished Veiled Vengeance—the final book in The Devils of New York trilogy—and I’m honestly blown away. After the chaos and cliffhanger of Tainted Truth, I was counting down the days for this release, and it delivered in every way.
Spencer's growth throughout the series is incredible, but in this book she fully steps into her power. Watching her handle everything thrown her way while still navigating the intense dynamic with Rio, Zane, and Asher had me completely hooked.
The plot had some wild turns that I didn’t see coming, but they made so much sense by the end. It was the kind of ending that leaves you full—satisfied, emotional, and already wanting to re-read the whole series.
If you’re into dark romance with strong FMCs, lots of tension (and I mean a lot), and a story that wraps up all the loose ends while still punching you in the heart… this is it.
Be warned though: there are some heavy themes, so check your triggers—but if you’re good with that, buckle up. Ivy King nailed it.
This book was perfect way to end the series. Ugh I needed to know everything that happened. I was literally shocked at some points in the book because I didn't expect all that! Plus the smut was just so good. I felt like after what happened at the end of book two, I needed answers and we got the super fast. But then we got more in depth on how much Anthony would do what he wants and how much he wanted his flower. But man I loved this book the most out of off three. You for action, smut, back stories, and I'm hoping more stories that follow this universe! After the ending I want a book for the other characters that were mention!
This book does get a little dark, so please read the trigger warning. But if you want action, RH, MMFM, and revenge. Then read this series and get ready for the ride!
The final book in The Devils of New York trilogy. I have long awaited this book since the cliffhanger of the Tainted Truth. This whole series was spicy and the plot is interesting. I LOVE how Spencer comes into her own in this book. Spencer gets progressively stronger throughout the series and I was excited to see the conclusion. There are twists and turns throughout the book and while I didn't see everything coming how it did, the conclusion of the trilogy is very satisfying. In this book you get to see Rio, Zane and Asher all together and get a more wholesome view of their relationship. If you want a dark romance with lots of spice check out this trilogy! Please just be mindful of triggers as there are a lot of them.
Navarro Juan Carlos de la Cruz Flores. Can i end the review there? My man Rio was PERFECTION.
I have been waiting for the third book in this series for what felt like years and i got to ARC read it!!!
The first two books are so captivating and also leave you on cliff hangers 🤠 From the very first book i was itching to read all the rest because honestly the way @ivykingauthor writes just scratches that itch in my brain.
Seeing the banter that these 4 share is hilarious. The love, the trauma, and the respect they have for each other is out of this world. Watching Rio and Zane together never fails to make me kick my feet and giggle.
It tore me apart seeing what Spencer and Asher went through together but also watching him hold everything together for her was also really bloody sweet 🥹🥹
What a great ending to the mystery behind Spencer’s story! I liked how it started with a little background on Anthony and the mystery behind Iris. It gave us the answers we needed. I loved the development of Spencer, Asher, Zane and Rio and the further development of the side characters. I was happy to see Asher open up more and see how well he, Rio and Zane worked out conflict among the group. I was also happy to see Spencer become stronger and not let fear deter her life choices. Watching the dynamic of this group truly blossom into its full potential was a great way to end this book.
Based on the ending of this book I’m truly hoping for further books based on Rio’s sister! I loved the hints to her relationship and desperately want more!
We all knew Spencer was a badass but this book really sees her shine! I have loved reading about Spencer and her boys and the love story that was going to be EPIC! You did not disappoint.
But after Carman’s chapter near the end I need her story with Gabriel, Mateo, and Diego. I feel like she is going to give them hell.
Pierce is a sneaky little swine and I feel like he is going to pop back up in a story to come. Not to mention the unknown with Dahlia!! Ivy… what an amazing book to end Spencer’s story but why to leave it wide open and questions about everyone else!
Did I already mention that Ivy is my new fav author? Well she is!! I absolutely loved these characters!!! Rio is such a sweetie Zane is super 🔥🔥🔥 Asher is my daddy!! And Spencer is a bada££.. I want to be her when I grow up!! I absolutely loved this trilogy and tho there are some bad parts I’m so happy Spencer had her vengeance and her HEA with these men who would literally burn down the world for her!! Anthony should suck some a££ And the smut is smutting! I’d read anything by this author and I do hope we get Dahlia’s story!! 5/5
The third installment of the devils of New York series, this book will have you sucked into the plot to the point that you will be reading and so much time will pass and you’ll just finish the book!
Veiled vengeance continues the story of Spencer, Rio, Asher, and Zane, and gives us a glimpse into what has happened since the last book, as well as a wonderful snippet in the epilogue of the future!
"My jaw drops at this fucker's proposition. He must have had a gallon of audacity with his morning coffee." --- ARC REVIEW
What a way to end a series, holy crap! I binged the first two books and was so happy to have the third on hand. Why choose/reverse harem is one of my favorite tropes, especially with a sassy as hell and badass woman at the center of it all. I thoroughly enjoy that Spencer gets tougher (mentally and physically) throughout the books and refuses to rely on others. She's been fighting a huge battle and fighting back, bettering herself through it all, especially with her men at her side.
While I don't love how quickly everything evolved, as it was a very short timeline over the series and a little convoluted at times, I love the drama revealed in this third book. Iris' reveal... WHAT. Then Iris & Hayes? Hayes is a golden retriever through and through, I love the representation there. His story is a little hidden but I adored the fact that he heard Iris' story and still was taken with her.
Pierce is creepy as hell; the scene where Spencer and Asher are taken? I was worried there for a second, but Asher's fierce protectiveness warmed my heart. Spencer is such a head-strong woman, and I love the strength she allows herself.
I found myself feeling so many emotions while this book played out. I think there were so many life lessons and moments where they connected that just felt right. I loved that Spencer never doubted herself for what she wanted nor did she allow herself to hold back (well once those barriers were removed). The sneak peaks into the other non-MCs POVs was a great choice, while you can kind of piece everything together I truly enjoyed how interconnected the pieces where.
With three fiercely loyal, persistent, morally grey, protective and obsessive men... A sassy and thick woman with a heart of gold... Yeah, this will be a series I'll reread in the future.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I can NOT get enough of this series, seriously. You could not ask for a better ending, and I can't wait to re-read them all again. So glad Spencer got what she needed (and then some), but I'm going to miss these characters for sure. I highly recommend this series, please add to your TBRs. It's so worth it - it has everything you could want in a reverse harem, dark romance. <3
I had the honour of ARC reading the finale to the devils of new York trilogy. multiple POV as are the first 2 and i love that you get to see everyone's feelings towards things when it switches POV. Amazing ending and im so happy.
This was the perfect ending to The Devils of New York series by Ivy King. I screamed, cried, laughed and pretty much had every other emotion you could think of reading this.
It was spicier than the other books but it never felt like it took over the storyline. And let me tell you this, the author knows how to write good possessive MMC’s 😮💨 Even the snippets from other relationships we got in this book shows that. Loved that by the way, that we got introduced to other people’s POV at one point because I think that it actually made it all even better.
I really enjoyed how everything got wrapped up and that it was HEA. My heart wouldn’t have been able to handle anything else since I love these characters so much.
I’m really excited to see what Ivy King writes next!
You have got to be kidding me! I didn’t see the ending coming!! 😭🔥🔥🔥 I was hooked from chapter one! I can’t wait to see what she puts out next!! (I received this as an ARC.)
Ivy!! You didn’t even warm us up with this one. We just dove straight in deep and I was so here for it! Adding in Anthony’s chapter at the start was a really nice touch and THANK YOU for giving us all the answers at the end.
I have loved following Spencer and her men throughout these books and reading her growth. The girl wanted vengeance and she got vengeance! What a way to wrap everything up. However…. Where is Pierce?? And what is going on with Dahlia??
What a way to end the best trilogy I've read in a while. Veiled Vengeance was so good that I binged it in a few hours. It's just something about Spencer and her crazy trio that kept me in a chokehold.
Ivy did an incredible job with keeping plot twist after plot twist coming, so much spice that will keep you wanting more and was perfectly paced from beginning to end. I didn't feel like the storyline was rushed at all, Ivy did a great job tying up all the cliffhangers and each character's storyline as intricately entwined as it was. I loved that she showed a different dynamic to each of Spencer's relationship with the guys and as their foursome too. Out of all the guys, Rio was my favorite. He brought passion and a fire for wanting to protect his family that I really loved to see. Seeing Asher finally open up was a 10/10 for character growth. I can't believe this trilogy is over but excited to see what Ivy conjures up next.
I was lucky to get ARC copies of this whole trilogy and I ATE THEM UP! And how could I not with Asher, Zane, and Rio 😍 The story line and growth between all characters throughout is so good and leaves me wanting more every time. I can only hope we get another series from Carmen and her men’s POV’s!
Wow, three books and we finally have the finale 😮💨❤️🔥
Following Spencer’s journey, with her three main men has been a rollercoaster. This story has made laugh so many times, times where it should be inappropriate. Sniffling at those raw scenes, and glad that their story has ended such a way! It’s hard not to give spoilers here!
This last book really tied the series together. Answered so many questions, and I was SO relieved after that ending in book 2, because damn, what a way to go.
Veiled Vengeance brought the spice, emotion and found family I love so much. Thank you, thank you @ivykingauthor for another arc 🫶🏽

I have loooved getting to know Spencer and her men, Zane, Rio, and Asher. I’ll always have a soft spot for our golden retriever Rio 🫠
Veiled Vengeance was the perfect ending to this trilogy. Seeing Spencer transform into such a badass and getting her justice? I’m so here for the feminine rage and taking back the power!
The banter and jokes between all four of them have me craving for more 😩 and it’s so bittersweet their story has come to an end. But I loved getting a glimpse into the lives of Rio’s sister and her men 👀👀👀 pls Ivy, I’m begging you! Feed me!

Vengeance isn’t some abstract idea—it isn’t some unattainable dream. Vengeance is right here in front of me, and it’s mine to take.
I had such a good time with this book, and this series! As the finally book in this series, Veiled Vengeance had me by a chokehold! It picks up right where Tainted Truth (book 2) finished and I was stressed thinking about what was gonna come after that ending, but this book did not disappoint one bit. Just minutes after i started reading this book, I couldn’t put it down and i was inevitably sucked right into the world all over again! Something about Ivy King’s writing and storytelling just traps you and sucks you right in, in all the good and glorious ways that a dark why choose romance novel will do to you.
This was an amazing, gritty & heartfelt ending to Spencer, Zane, Asher & Rio’s story and I already know i’m going to miss them immensely (and then of a course a reread will be in my future). Their relationships with each other & even their entire personality’s and character growth were so amazing to see. A fantastically dark and all-consuming read that everyone needs to get around to. The absolute perfect amount of spice, plot, funny moments, banter, action, plot twists, heart pointing moments & even some good heart-melting and swoon worthy moments from the rugged, grumpy & endlessly-protective men that I can only ever dream of having in my life. I also loved seeing more of Carmen & her men (if you’ve read the series, you know what i meannnnn) — and i’m excited to see what possibilities could come out of getting her story??? i’m so intrigued. (also hello griffin & knox, it’s so lively to meet you 👀)
The Devils of New York has got to be one of my favorite mafia/romantic suspense series i’ve read this year and I absolutely can’t wait to read & devour what Ivy has coming for us next.
What to expect in Veiled Vengeance: 💙 why choose 💙 age gap 💙 feminine rage 💙 diverse characters 💙 touch me/her & die 💙 trauma & healing 💙 intimate group scenes & sword crossing 💙 found family 💙 dark romantic suspense 💙 mafia vibes 💙 morally gray mmcs
* please please please make sure to check trigger warnings before going into this book, and the others in this series! there are some darker elements / sensitive topics that people should definitely watch out for before reading. *
💙
Thank you, Ivy King for letting me be a part of this release, and for writing such amazing and gripping stories that make me never want any of it to end! I love this series with my whole heart!
Veiled Vengeance releases June 30th, 2025! The first two books are already released!
Veiled Vengeance is my favorite book in this entire series. The first 15% of this book had me sobbing because the whole Asher and Dahlia thing was literally tearing me apart! Then I was kicked into mama bear mode because after what Dahlia went through, she was willing to potentially throw herself into that situation again and risk it all to save her son, as any mother should!! Hayes turned out to be the secret weapon no one knew they needed. And Spencer turned into the badass I always knew she was going to be! This one is dark, thrilling, captivating, spicy, exciting, and I couldn't stop. If it was even possible to fall harder for these 3 men, it definitely happens in this book. I love how much they literally worship Spencer. They know exactly what she needs and they give it to her. When she's angry and lashing out, they allow her to feel it, allow her to break down, and then help her put herself back together. The ending of this book also had me sobbing because I just absolutely love when the right people have the resources to do the right thing and help those who can't help themselves, like fostering children. The conclusion to this series just healed something in me... because I know Spencer probably felt so much better after facing her mother! Ivy King knew what she was doing with this series!!! I loved it soo much. These will be going on my trophy shelves! She writes in such a way that you get sucked into the story and feel like you're living it with them. The characters are so in depth. There's so much background to them they feel like real people you know. The plot is well written and flows at a very fast pace! She is an amazing author! This is not a series to add to the tbr. This is one that needs to get bumped up to the top of the list and start immediately!!!
Have you met Rio, Asher, and Zane yet? Well, you are 3 books behind, so get on the first book of this series called Fractured Fear by Ivy King. Then, you can come back and read this review for Veiled Vengeance. These devils of New York are here to steal your heart, make you laugh, and cause a waterfall in your pants. Yeah, you read that right.
Okay. Maybe the FMC is the person they love, but a girl can dream, right? The story follows Spencer trying to get away from her crazy ass ex-boyfriend, and when she realizes the only way to get rid of him is to kill him? The plan gets serious. It'll be easy with a few guys who are in the NYPD, FBI, and a former social worker. There has to be some justice. Spoiler alert: Not all justice is legal, and we love a man who can teach their woman self-defense while also being there to save her.
" I have lived in fear this whole time. I can't let Anthony continue to control my life. Even though I ran away, he's still been this invisible presence, dictating my every move. No more. It's Anthony's turn to hide."
I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this series, and im a little heartbroken to know it's over now. The giggles and tears I've shed while reading definitely make all 3 books apart of my favorite shelf. I will definitely be reading it again for my baby Rio 🩷
🔥 🤤 incoming 🤤🔥
"You have sixty seconds to run and hide before we find you, and when we do, Rio is going to fuck that sweet pussy of yours and Zane is going to fuck your throat." My pussy throbs and I swallow hard. I don't deny I want it-their touch. I'm desperate for it. Instead, I ask, "What are you going to do if you find me?" "When I find you, I get to fuck your tight little ass."
What an epic conclusion for a fantastic trilogy. I feel in love with this series from book one and it has delivered every single time. I absolutely love the characters and the world this author has built for them. I seriously cannot get enough of the devils of New York. They guys are all perfect in every way. The love and devotion that they have not only for each other but for Spenser is incredible. They are the best book boyfriends a girl could ask for. They will literally do anything for her. They will sacrifice for her. She is their ultimate prize and they cherish her for the incredible woman that she is. I love how the author wrapped up this story. We get to see just how evil Spenser's ex was. We also get to see Spenser get her revenge on every single person who hurt her. She is a literal baddie in this book. The way she fights and sacrifices for her men is chefs kiss. In this book we also get to see Spencer and Asher's relationship evolve. We have been waiting for them to finally get to a point that they can be themselves with each other. The wait was so worth it. I just loved how their relationships all evolved. We got to see some tidbits of future stories. I cannot wait to see what the author has instore for us next time. She does such an incredible job with her character development. You can not help but love them all. They have great chemistry and excellent banter. Zane is literally my favorite of the guys. Now I love them all but there is just something incredible about him that has me swooning every time. If you love a good story with banter, good characters, mystery, secrets, and revenge then this book is definitely the one for you.
