What happens in Vegas…

A Vegas trip with my best friend’s much younger son and his roommate sounded like a great idea after my divorce. It wasn’t supposed to end with us married and our drunken escapades splashed all over the internet.

He’s a pro-hockey player, the Captain of the San Diego Seals. The newest team in the NHL has already been marred by scandal, and neither of us wants to be the next disgrace. So, when we’re told to keep up the charade of our fake marriage for a year, we both agree.

After all, how hard can it be?

The answer: much harder than I expected.

To the world, Jacques Gauthier has two roommates. Behind closed doors, they’re together. Getting between them is hotter than the sun. But it’s not just our intimate times I love. I’m falling for all three of them.

Then I find out I’m pregnant.

I don’t want to say goodbye, but they also never signed on to raising a baby.

Puck Me, Baby is a steamy reverse age gap, why choose MMMF romance. It features a curvy woman who’s rediscovering life after divorce, the gorgeous, sweet pro-hockey player who falls first, a cheeky firefighter, a quiet, nerdy guy who’s good with his hands, a Vegas wedding, and an unexpected pregnancy.

CW: This book deals with cheating in a past relationship.

By day Ann Grech lives in the corporate world and can be found sitting behind a desk typing away at reports and papers or lecturing to a room full of students. She graduated with a PhD in 2016 and is now an over-qualified nerd. Glasses, briefcase, high heels and a pencil skirt, she’s got the librarian look nailed too. If only they knew! She swears like a sailor, so that’s got to be a hint. The other one was “the look” from her tattoo artist when she told him that she wanted her kids initials “B” and “J” tattooed on her foot. It took a second to register that it might be a bad idea.
She’s never entirely fit in and loves escaping into a book—whether it’s reading or writing one. But she’s found her tribe now and loves her MM book world family. She dislikes cooking, but loves eating, can’t figure out technology, but is addicted to it, and her guilty pleasure is Byron Bay Cookies. Oh and shoes. And lingerie. And maybe handbags too. Well, if we’re being honest, we’d probably have to add her library too given the state of her credit card every month (what can she say, she’s a bookworm at heart)!
She also publishes her raunchier short stories under her pen name, Olive Hiscock.

Ann Grech
Puck Me Baby is the second book in Ann Grech’s San Diego Seals series, and it’s a surprisingly gentle, comforting read. Even though I expected to identify more strongly with this FMC because of age and life stage, I actually found myself connecting more with the emotional themes than the specifics of her character.

What really stood out for me was the second-chance romance element and, more importantly, the feeling of being actively chosen. Not as a fallback, but clearly and intentionally. Being chosen by three men, who also choose each other as committed partners, takes that sense of affirmation to another level. It’s indulgent in the best way, without tipping into insecurity or competition.

The story itself feels warm and safe. There are emotional shifts, but nothing sharp or unnecessarily dramatic. It’s a rollercoaster, but a soft one. It's more about connection and reassurance than angst. I also appreciated that, even within a why-choose dynamic, the relationships felt grounded and affectionate rather than chaotic.

Overall, Puck Me Baby is a cozy, affirming read that left me feeling comfortable and quietly happy, exactly what I want from this genre.

A Why Choose romance worth celebrating

If you want to read Ann Grech at her brilliant nest then PUCK ME, BABY, book #2 in the San Diego Seals Hockey series, is the book to read. Ann Captivated me for an afternoon with her Why Choose, reverse age gap, sizzling spice, sparkling chemistry, heartfelt moments, plenty of laughs, and even some tears, MMMF romance. Told in four POVs, this story was emotionally raw, humourous, and sweet; a true love story from beginning to end.

At 39, newly divorced Carina Delaware is ready to rediscover herself, she wants to regain her independence and her passions. Being a curvy woman, she tends to hide her body when she should be flaunting it. A cancelled girl's weekend has her going to Vegas with her best friend's son and his best friend, and what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas!!

While Carina is simply gorgeous, the three men who vie for and win her heart are absolutely delicious. Jacques Gauthier plays for the Seals in the NHL. He is the sweetest, most loving man and falls hard for Carina. His best friend Travis Taylor is a firefighter who is playful and cheeky, "the class clown". Then there is Lincoln "Rusty" Zimmerman, he's the quiet one, a man who enjoys his solitude but also the one who needs his two men with him. Each man falls for Carina in their own unique way. They bring all the heat and spice, and the chemistry between all four is incredible. It is the connection between them that is special, the way in which they ensure no one is left out. Not everything runs smoothly for this quartet, they have a few hurdles to overcome and one huge surprise, but what does work is the constant growth of their relationship and their love for one another.

PUCK ME, BABY was a sheer pleasure to read. I've always been drawn to Ann's stories as she knows how to perfectly balance the sweetness and spice, laughter, and tears, and ensures her characters are easily relatable. The dynamics between Carina, Jacques, Travis, and Rusty are simply superb, the emotions they show, the spice they share, and the love which they discover are all heartwarming, exhilarating, and worth celebrating.

PUCK ME, BABY is another fantastic read from this amazingly talented author, and I can't wait for more.

Book Review – Puck Me Baby by Ann Grech

What could possibly go wrong when your husband cheats on you, your girls’ weekend falls apart, and you end up going to Vegas with your best friend’s son and his best mate? Oh, I’ll tell you what: absolutely everything ( not wrong everything deliciously right!?!) and it is GLORIOUS.

I ran full-speed into this book the moment I saw the blurb. You know those chaotic, laugh-out-loud, messy but magical reads that make you grin like an idiot at 2 a.m.? Yeah, this is that. You’ve got heartbreak, accidental Vegas weddings, and oh yeah—a reverse harem spicy setup that had me fanning myself more than once.

Let’s talk about the men: Travis (HELLO, firefighter fantasy), Jacques (French hockey player, enough said), and Rusty (rough around the edges but soft underneath). Each one brings their own flavour and personality to the story, and somehow Ann Grech makes you fall in love with all of them. Travis had my heart from the moment he showed up with his big firefighter energy. Honestly, swoon city.

Then there’s Carina. A woman who’s been wrecked emotionally—zero confidence, newly single, and just trying to hold it together. But instead of wallowing, she gets drunk, married, and into a wild Vegas threesome (don’t worry, the foursome comes later and YES it’s worth it). Watching her grow, find herself again, and actually feel seen and adored by these men? It was genuinely heartwarming.

This book has depth. It’s not just smut (though the smut is chef’s kiss). It’s full of character growth, healing, and emotional connection. Don’t call this just a sports romance—it’s so much more. It’s reverse harem contemporary magic. It’s spicy and easy to read, but not mindless. I was along for every chaotic, romantic, hot mess of a moment.

And let’s not gloss over the spice scenes—I questioned how some of those positions worked and even tried to draw it out with stick figures (10/10 recommend for a laugh). But despite the logistics, the chemistry was off the charts, and it brought that “heroic spice meets older woman glow-up” energy that I LIVE for.

Highly recommend for anyone who needs a bit of reckless fun, hot men with golden hearts, a little “he’s younger than her” drama, and a whole lot of Vegas vibes. Puck Me Baby is wild, spicy, heartfelt chaos in the best possible way.

Absolutely adored this second entry in the San Diego Seals Hockey series by Grech - my love for this series definitely grows with each book!

Don't be scared by the mass of tropes in this one; it's a beautiful read that combines why choose, reverse age gap, accidental pregnancy (and we all know I tend to avoid that particular trope) and hockey romance tropes into a wonderfully intricate story of love, healing after divorce, and standing up for what you believe in. (And, of course, we all know I LOVE my sword crossing in why choose).

I absolutely loved Carina when we met her in book one, and she certainly got a fantastic ending after the events of that book. Jacques, Travis and Lincoln (Rusty) are all such amazing MMCs, all with their own nuances, personalities and dreams, and I love that together, these for compliment each other. I really loved the history between our three MMCs - it was written beautifully, and honestly, I'd love to read more of their time together pre-Carina. Grech has perfectly blended each character's pasts into their present, creating this amazing dual-timeline-esque story where everyone gets their happily ever after, even if it's taken some time to get there. All four of our characters show phenomenal growth through this book, and I honestly wish I could read it again for the first time.

Grech has created the perfect balance of love, spice, humour (Hux had me in hysterics frequently - and I have the buddy read chat with my bestie to prove this), warm-fuzzy romance as well as drama and a little action, all wrapped into this story that ended with one of the most well deserved happily ever after's.

Thank you to the author and @forewordpr for the eARC opportunity. These are my honest thoughts that I have provided voluntarily.

Puck Me, Baby is a sizzling, heartwarming blend of reverse age gap, why-choose romance that hits all the right notes for fans of steamy group dynamics and emotional character growth. Centered on Carina, a curvy and newly divorced woman rediscovering her passion and independence, the story follows her unexpected journey into love—with not one, but three very different and utterly irresistible men.

There's Jaques, the sweet pro-hockey player who falls first and hardest; Rusty, a cheeky firefighter with a wicked grin; and Travis, the quiet, nerdy handyman who brings a whole different kind of heat. Their chemistry—both among the men and with Carina—is electric, and when the four finally come together, it’s pure magic.

What sets this romance apart is its emotional depth. While it includes an accidental pregnancy and a spontaneous Vegas wedding, the heart of the story lies in the development of their connection—not just the spicy moments (which are off-the-charts, by the way), but the tender, vulnerable ones too. Each character is thoughtfully crafted, and the way they navigate their evolving relationship is as sweet as it is steamy.
Fans of MMMF dynamics, found family themes, and unapologetically bold love stories will find plenty to enjoy in this deliciously spicy and emotionally satisfying romance. Puck Me, Baby is a joyful, sexy celebration of love without limits—and it delivers from beginning to end.

Laughed, cried, laughed some more - what a ride. Congratulations Ann Grech on a fabulous story.

I absolutely ADORED the first book in this series, and this one has my heart!

I absolutely loved Carina when we met her in book one, and this book felt like the perfect story arch and HEA for her. Each of these characters are so beautifully diverse and well-written in their own ways, I saw a lot of myself in Carina and Rusty in particular, and this really delivered all of the amazing feels.

The plot was plotting, the spice was SPICING, and love was loving, and the tears… well, they were shed. A lot. This book healed something in me for sure.

I normally don’t like pregnancy tropes, partly because I think it isn’t something I want for myself so it isn’t super appealing in a book and partly because sometimes it feels like the FMC or the relationship between the MCs is reduced to only the pregnancy. That was absolutely not the case with this book and I ate every bit of this up and asked for more! The pregnancy was more of a sub-plot and it added to their love story, rather than BEING their love story. Sooooo well done.

My bestie summed it up best:
“Grech has created the perfect balance of love, spice, humour (Hux had me in hysterics frequently - and I have the buddy read chat with my bestie to prove this), warm-fuzzy romance as well as drama and a little action, all wrapped into this story that ended with one of the most well deserved happily ever after's.”

🏒Puck Me, Baby by Ann Grech🏒

I thoughoughly enjoyed this book, I was hooked from the beginning when we jumped straight in with the mishaps of Vegas, I absolutely loved the “then” and “now” chapters leaving us on mini cliffhangers until the time periods aligned and it continued as normal.

I saw a lot of growth from the first book in this series to this one, I am also generally on the fence with the pregnancy trope but it was also done really well in this, wasn’t the whole story if that makes sense? Anyway, hella recommend this spicy little why choose hockey romance 😍

This series keeps getting better and better! If you’re ready for all the swords crossing, then dive into this and prepare to fall in love… We get to follow Carina as she’s moving from divorce to independence and reconnecting with old friends in the US. When a Vegas trip goes sideways, she finds herself in a steamy situation she couldn’t have predicted and she may not want extricate herself from. The opportunity for her to connect with Jacques and his roommates Travis and Rusty is exactly what she needs. The men are so different from one another but all perfect for her battered, soft heart as friends and lovers. While this one is not without hiccups, the support and love is unwavering. I’m here for everything that comes in this series.

I loved the book...

There were a few inconsistencies, itmademe go back and reread a few sections to make sure I did not miss something.
I wish caring had gotten pregnant again, and the baby was biologically Rusty's. Also, wish he and Travis had come out just so they could be more of a couple. He needed to calm down. He and carina were inevitable. It was interesting to see how he went from too shy to articulate his want to dominating Jacques and travis
I am proud of the way they all handled Jacques parents.
David was just what you'd expect...
I enjoyed the book and figured when minns showed up at the hospital"beat up" that the next book would be about him and his wife.
And, Cara & and her guys - I wanted more of their story!

I think this was a great read and I loved the chemistry between the characters I wanted more scenes between the mmc’s so I can see more coming from them.

The fmc was a hard head to read about which I enjoyed and loved because she was set on doing everything in her own I liked how she knew how to stand up for herself and is able to speak up.

The mmc’s were my favourites because they helped the fmc build her and welcome her with love again which I think is the best part about reading this book.

The battles they all faced with feelings and complications lead them to get their happily ever after.

This is a pretty fast burn. No real hidden twists or turns. This is an interconnected stand-alone, but it would help to have read the first book. I did not answer I was a little lost. I loved the build-up to the relationship between Rusty/Linc and Carina. As a fellow older lady, I say hell yeah to Carina getting her happily ever after. There is a considerable amount of smut, so be forewarned and a surprise Pregnancy although the warning signs are very obvious. There's a lil immaturity from the FMC when she finds out she's pregnant that really irked my nerves. If nothing else these characters love each other and they get their HEA.

As always anything Ann writes is 10/10
I enjoyed this book. I like the characters and the development of the characters especially with each other(rusty and Corina) I LOVE the lines about communication and how it was very much so a priority I wish or hoped rusty was the father or maybe she gets pregnant again (epilogue) kinda thing. I also wished that there was an announcement of them all being together finally, it definitely sucks that travis and rusty felt left out, Even if they said they were okay with it.
I personally thought the ending seemed rushed but it was still very much enjoyable. I hope to read more of their life in the next book.

Long book for something without much substance.

Yes, it’s spicy, but I at least need the author to act like they spent some time building the characters.

In the first book, their last name is Delaware. Second book, it’s Delaney.

First book, her best friend is Sofia. Second book, it’s Sophia.

Then, you have a woman who knew one of the men when he was a CHILD. Might not be grooming, but that’s still weird. Include that she’s been a mother for a couple decades and she’s written as so immature, I couldn’t get past 20%.

And I was excited for this because you rarely see older women in stories, especially not when they’re age gap.

Wow! I am so in love with Carina, Jacques, Travis(Trav) , and Lincoln(Linc)! I absolutely loved how they grew to love each other and balance each other. You see growth in each character as the book progresses. I also love the fact that Carina was a 39 yr old FMC!! She showed strength and endurance. She showed that life isn’t over just because you get a divorce, even after 20 years! The guys showed her that she was beautiful even being curvy! Talk about empowering! I highly recommend this book. Oh! And it’s a reverse age gap! The cougar comes out of Carina and all 3 guys fall at her feet!

Puck Me, Baby is a why choose, reverse age gap, hockey romance, full of delicious spice and sweet moments, and I loved every second of it. Jaques, Travis, Rusty, Carina, and Zeus were so adorable together. The chemistry between all the men was undeniable, and when they added Carina into the mix it was pure fire. I loved the fact that this story, although it has the accidental pregnancy trope does not revolve around the pregnancy from beginning to end. It's all about their relationship development and growth, them coming together and being comfortable with who they are. Great story.

Super sweet and spicy! Reverse age gap, best friend’s son and his friends, drunken Vegas wedding, and accidental pregnancy. I loved Jacques, Travis, and Lincoln and their relationship. I loved how Jacques has had a crush on Carina for years. Carina didn’t know what to do with herself and her life after her marriage ended. She never could have imagined how her life could change for the better. Loved their happily ever after!

This is a sweet and very steamy story! Age gap, best friends son, Vegas wedding right through to a happily ever after. It's not smooth sailing with lots of emotions explored through this MMMF, why choose book. I loved the thoughtful details the author includes as they all get to know one another in every possible way. The spice is next level, right from the start, and enhances the storyline. This is such a great series. It has wonderful characters, it is well written and it is super spicy.
The characters were all wonderful and I especially loved Zeus and all his antics. While you don't have to read book 1 before reading this book, I would highly suggest that you do as it is wonderful but also gives the back story on somethings that take place in this book. Can't wait to read book 3

Carina, Jacques, Rusty, and Travis.
I couldn't put this down from start to finish, it was that engaging. From light points like Zeus & the bonus epilogue to the heavier topics the balance was great. I really liked the then & now at the start building the history before getting to the now, it echoed the hazy memories in Vegas perfectly.

I was looking forward to Carina getting her happy ending after her shitty ass husband did her wrong. But Idk, I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first one. For someone of Carina's age, she was immature or at least made immature decisions in the moments she needed to be reasonable. But then throughout the book she is saintly....

Ann has done it again and tho I loved her boss lady series this surpassed it for me. It might be that I connected with Carina being my age and an older lady than what the usual romance books heroines are and I loved her slow burn relationship with Linc/Rusty…
The spice is chefs kiss and the love these people have for each other is so precious!
