One man's quest for redemption becomes a fight against evil in a Mexican border town.
Ex-Army Ranger Eli Colt thought he'd left the battlefield behind, but the war against child trafficking has sent him to the southern border. As the founder of a Christian non-profit dedicated to rescuing trafficked girls, Eli finds himself thrust into a dangerous game of cat and mouse with a notorious trafficking cartel.
When the return of rescued children to their home in Juarez City goes awry, Eli uncovers a vast conspiracy that stretches from the streets of Juarez to hidden powers in the United States. Teaming up with his gung-ho partner, a Mexican street preacher, and a woman desperate to escape her ties to the cartel, Eli races against time to dismantle a treacherous web of corruption, violence, and betrayal.
As the body count rises and time runs out for innocent kids caught in the crossfire, Eli confronts his physical wounds and the limits of his faith. In a final, pulse-pounding confrontation, he'll risks everything to bring down the cartel and save those he's dedicated to protecting.
Evil on the Southern Border is a gripping thriller that explores the depths of human depravity and the heights of sacrificial love, set against the backdrop of the US-Mexico border crisis.
Don't wait. Purchase now and join Eli Colt in his relentless pursuit of saving children. Because in this fight, every second counts, and every reader can make a difference.
I enjoyed this novel even more than Will Marler's debut novel, "The Worst Kind of Evil." I liked the multiple plot threads, the characters, the action, and the themes of forgiveness and renewal. Yes, this is a Christian novel, but it's a story - not a sermon. Just as importantly, "Evil on the Southern Border" addresses two very important issues of our time: border security and human trafficking. I'm looking forward to reading the next Eli Colt adventure.
I enjoyed the book and the story was very relevant to today’s problems. Human trafficking is one of the most evil of sins and far too many in our country and government seem to condone it, either for money or their personal perversion. Well worth reading.
