Celebrating twenty years since her bestselling debut autobiography, Being Jordan, and a stellar thirty-year career, This Is Me is Katie Price as you've never heard her before—raw and reflective. Katie explores the incredible highs and devastating lows of her life and turbulent career, as well as the journey she's been
on to get to where she is today.

From her first forays into glamour modelling when she was just 17 years old, through a wild ride of Playboy mansions, Eurovision Song Contests, reality TV and everything in between, This Is Me is the true story of Katie's life behind the headlines. But it's not all glitz, glam and cosmetic surgery. For the first time, Katie will reflect on her journey through therapy, PTSD, trauma and the trials of living her life in the media spotlight. It's a true tale of survival during a career that has seen her become a household name - sometimes for all the wrong reasons. But though this is Katie in her most reflective book to date, it's also punctuated with the very real drama she's been dealing with in her life at the moment.

Full of life lessons she's learned along the way as well as the pain and heartache of the ones she's still learning, this is the real, explosive and unapologetically honest Katie Price.

Born as Katie Infield in Brighton, East Sussex, England on May 22 1978, I changed my last name to Price when my mother Amy remarried. I have an older brother, Daniel, and a younger sister, Sophie.

Although I had many interests when I was younger, a friend suggested that I should pursue a modeling career. So I sent a few shots to an agency and was taken on. I attended loads of castings, had my fair share of negative responses then one day, in a studio next to where I was working, a model failed to turn up for a shoot. The photographer asked around if anyone would be interested in doing a topless shoot… and the rest, as they say, is history!

My topless modeling career took off in 1996 when I appeared in The Sun as part of the ‘Page 3′ pictorial. The legendary section of the tabloid features a different girl each day posing topless. I was the first topless model to grace the Page 3 for a whole week – fully dressed on a Monday, then each day revealing more and more untill Friday – full topless. The exposure boosted my career and I soon became one of the UKs most famous models, under the pseudonym ‘Jordan.’

From there on I graced many magazine front covers , not just in the UK but also across Europe. My popularity soon reached even further afield and I posed for Playboy, landing on the front cover of the September 2002 issue.

I have been through many well-publicised relationships. And my illnesses, including the removal of a tumor from one of my fingers and complications with my pregnancies and family, have been very public.

I read Katie’s first autobiography years ago and enjoyed getting an insight into her life. This one is basically just her having a moan for a few hours.

Hmmm , I'm in two minds about this book... I think I went into it believing it would be more of a 'tell all' like her mum's book and her previous biographies... but apart from a few snippets , it was quite reserved , due to ongoing legal battles etc ...
I did however enjoy listening to the audio version that Katie read and It did also highlight to me again how toxic and poisonous the British press and media is. She makes a very good point about the fragility of people's mental states, especially Caroline flack and Nikki Graham, who due to being hounded by the media ended up taking their lives... It genuinely does seem that the only way the press would be happy is if she did the same.
It's good , just don't go into it thinking you'll hear all the Goss about her exes Kieran hauler and Carl woods - if you want that , I'd definitely reccomend her mum's book !
And also , don't believe what you read online , in papers and magazines - bad press sells.
Still a KP fan girl ⭐

I listened to this on audiobook which I think was definitely the best way as I find Katie quite interesting and I like how she describes her experiences.
There is something about Katie I've always liked and this was an easy listen whilst I was gardening 😀
I've never read one of her autobiographies before but this was an interesting take and her way of explaining her side of the press stories that seem to be everywhere
The book is short but sweet and I found it eye opening when hearing about certain conditions and experiences

Take away the celebrity status and just look at Katie as a human being. This is what this book is about.

She's made mistakes, but she's completely honest and open about them. Who hasn't?
Imagine your mistakes being broadcast to the whole world day in and day out.

Some people will say, "Well, she signed up for this lifestyle", but is it fair to hound someone in the way the press have just because she's famous.

Katie has been through A LOT. She talks about her many traumas in this book and when reading it, you wonder how she's still standing. We've seen what damage negative press can do to people such as Caroline Flack. What happened to just be kind?

I think this book is largely Katie's way of asking the press just to sit back and think about her as a human. But also to share her traumas and how she has overcome so many hurdles in terms of her mental health struggles and maybe help others to heal.

Katie talks about her plans with IVF in the future and when I went online to find a picture of the cover (for an Instagram review), all that came up were fictitious stories about her baby plans. Every single newspaper had jumped on this headline and twisted it into something negative. This is exactly the point Katie was making in her book about the press.

easily the most shrill and frantic celebrity memoir i've ever read. untethered from reality, muddy with speech, blathering and defensive. it's a unique experience if nothing else! i read this to learn more about katie price in advance of a podcast episode and was absolutely horrified to find this to be some kind of gothic novel about debt collectors, bankruptcy, banal drug use, dead animals and plastic surgery. really a whirlwind. can't recommend it, but glad i read it.

respectfully this book was lowkey trash but did we expect anything more from katie price, no we didn’t. just read it cos i wanted the tea n tbh it was lukewarm. if i had £1 for every time she said “generally” instead of “genuinely” and “pacific” instead of “specific” i would have at least £14 by now. also she kept using double superlatives e.g “most simplest”. truly felt like i was losing braincells & found myself “generally” questioning how it made it through the edit. some chapters were completely useless, e.g the chapter about each one of her pets. respectfully i don’t really care about how each and every one of your horses and dogs died. also some of her opinions are quite literally unhinged, such as her saying she “loves the smell of when a horse blows air out of its nose” and when she says she loves getting plastic surgery because she loves the “excitement of trying to fight the anaesthetic and stay awake” … wtf pricey. i won’t give 1🌟 because it was entertaining in a kind of car-crash-tv kind of way. so 2🌟🌟🐴🐕👄

This book was not what I expected, I was expecting more of an autobiography. Lots of the stuff covered in this book had already been told in previous books and I was expecting more detail about some of the things that were just brushed over.

Listened to this on audiobook as I enjoy listening to the actual person read out their story. Was a little disappointed as I didn’t learn anything I didn’t already know! Glad I listened through my Spotify and not actually purchased the book!

I purposely downloaded this book so I wasn’t giving her any money or contributing to her purchases in any way. Since I lost my friend in 2020 to a drunk driver, I swore to myself I would never ever support someone who drink drives. After all the years I’ve spent raising money and organising charity events for road safety charities in her honour, how could I possibly then go on to support Katie Price, who not once in this book admitted to feeling guilt about her drink driving?

But I was intrigued what she would say about not just the drink driving, but also the PTSD. As someone with PTSD, I thought she would be relatable and inspiring, and instead she goes on for almost a whole chapter about how her problems are worse than pretty much anyone else and doesn’t forget to remind you time and time again how “severe” her trauma is, and nobody else’s can be considered “trauma” in comparison to hers.

Before I read this book, I didn’t like Katie Price. Not because of the media like she thinks, but because she doesn’t take responsibility for her own actions. I can understand better than anyone doing things because of your mental health during a breakdown and then completely regretting it after and knowing it was out of character, but I would never ever blame my mental health for my actions and say I’m completely innocent. If I thought my mental health was going to lead me to taking cocaine and drinking alcohol and then getting behind the wheel of a car and putting innocent civilians in danger, I’d say, “Take my car away from me, I’m going to get help.” I wouldn’t say, “Feel sorry for me, I’m mentally ill, I can’t help it.” It’s NOT an excuse.

After reading this book, I dislike Katie Price even more. She comes across as a narcissist who thinks she’s better than everyone else. She thinks her life can be compared to that of Caroline Flack and her tragedy, when all the problems Katie has, she has brought upon herself and could have been avoided by getting help and being a better person in general. I do feel sympathy for everything she’s been through, especially the times where she’s been sexually assaulted, and I do think she’s a good mum and the way she is with Harvey is amazing considering she’s been doing it all on her own all along. But none of this is an excuse for her behaviour. The media isn’t the reason she is one of the most hated people in the country, SHE is. It’s the way she portrays HERSELF, and this book shows it more and more how she refuses to take responsibility for the mistakes she’s made and instead praises herself for being such a strong, caring individual. She keeps saying she’s caring and nurturing but that didn’t come across at all in this book. She sounds more like a thoughtless, selfish narcissist who thinks of herself above anyone else.

When she writes a book that says “I made a mistake, I’ve done some stupid things and I’m getting my life together without blaming my mental health and condemning the whole world for my own issues, I’m taking responsibility for my own life and my own problems instead” then maybe I will give her a second chance, but I can’t see that happening any time soon. Yes, she’s been handed a lot of horrible things in her life, but you have to take responsibility for your own issues and your own trauma and your own healing and not blame everything on the world around you. It’s not relatable to hear you moan at least three times a chapter that the media is “trying to make you out to be public enemy number one.” Also, I know she says she looks after her animals well, but you can’t blame people for jumping to conclusions — how can you have that many animals die in suspicious circumstances and have an answer for every single one? I don’t buy it…

I have learnt a lot about Katie from reading this book, but none of it is anything that has made her more relatable or likeable in any way. If anything, I despise her even more than I did before. I won’t bother with any of her next books, I know my opinion of her and that isn’t going to change. Don’t waste your time.

I’ve always been fascinated by Katie Price and always had a soft spot for her. She’s been through a lot and you just genuinely feel for her, although she doesn’t help herself sometimes, like with this book…

Her other autobiographies were so great that I thought this might be too but I read this in about 45 minutes, no joke. It’s written like a bad diary, random thoughts, the chapters don’t go on from another and she refers to her old books a lot (where she goes into more detail).

Nothing told or “revealed” in this book is shocking or new, as nowadays we find out everything straight away from her own instagram, podcasts she’s done etc that by the time this is out we know it all. Back in the day with her past books (and shows) we didn’t have Instagram to follow her life 24/7, so her books and shows were always so good and juicy as it was all new and unfolding in the moment.

I do also think she had to hold back a bit with this book for legal reasons but perhaps she should’ve not bothered and just waited until she can speak on it? I’d read that!

Katie Price is a polarising figure - you either love her or hate her. I used to be a fan of hers but have become increasingly concerned about her in recent years. To me, her behaviour had become undefendable. However, reading this autobiography helped me understand some of the truth and the reasons why Katie is the way that she is. This felt honest and it felt as if this book was something that Katie really needed to write to be honest, for her own therapy and mental wellbeing. I am still gravely concerned about Katie, most notably the possible concerns of body dysmorphia, but I really hope she can get through this. 🙏🏻

20 years on from her bestselling debut autobiography, Being Jordan, Katie has released her 7th (I think!) life-story bringing readers up to speed with the latest dramas in her life.

What I do applaud Katie for is discussing Mental Health. I think when people discuss such issues in turn it helps eradicate stigma of having periods of poor Mental Health and hopefully encourages others to speak up and seek help without feeling any shame or embarrassment. 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem of some kind each year.

Whilst Katie does talk about several incidents and pivotal life moments, it’s not a soul ‘biography’ and a large chunk of the book is her journey with her mental health rather than a chronological update with her life like her previous books. If you like a celebrity memoir then there are aspects of this you’ll enjoy.

I think she had an opportunity to show some remorse in this book about her highly publicised mistakes however that’s not the perception I got left with. What I do think majorly lacked in this was accountability for her own actions. My lasting impression was that she feels every one of her problems were all the direct result of things other people did and this didn’t sit right with me. I’ve no doubt she has had an absolute rubbish time with men - She’s certainly found some wrong-uns. However we all make mistakes and when learning from them I think it’s important to sometimes say ‘I was wrong’ with no buts and excuses after. As a result, I couldn’t help but feel it took away some sincerity from the book.

Ngl I liked her a lot more before I listened to this book. She just comes across and sooo fucking bitter with no nuanced understanding of her place in the media. She is obsessed with how the “media” has wronged her and is evil with literally no recognition that she owes any semblance of a career to them.. and also.. she’s not a girls girl!!

She constantly complains about influencers and how they’ve never done a hard days work and are only famous for being famous. Like girl!!! You’re a glamour model turned mess turned mother have a little perspective 🫢

Also there were actual mistakes in the audiobooks. Like she repeats lines and they’ve forgotten to edit out some of the takes. And like 50% of the book she is 100% reading for the first time.

She’s obviously had a lot of experiences but I’m not sure that equates to interesting. Her insistence that if she’d spoken to Nikki Graham, Amy Winehouse or Caroline flack before they died things would have turned out different??? Honestly just such a weird thing to put in writing.

That and the fact that she isn’t worried about ageing as long as she doesn’t end up like Pamela Anderson who she thinks looks disgusting now. Whaaaaa

Yea, liked her more before this book tbh. That’s the takeaway

I was so excited for this book to be released in America, her first audiobook…only to be so disappointed.

The title feels incomplete. It should be “this is me…whining.”

From the very beginning, this book was little more than a tirade against “the press”. She rants and raves for hours about the injustices done to her by the media. I understand it not being entirely fair, but did the WHOLE BOOK have to be about this?? I felt like I was the editor at National Enquirer, and I was on the phone with Katie spewing her criticisms of my magazine at me. Listening to this audiobook felt like being guilt tripped, even though I’ve never written even so much as a comment about her in my life.

She clearly did not write this for her fans. She wrote it for her “haters.” Which is so weird- your “haters” aren’t buying a book about you, your fans are. But all you did the whole book was yell at them.

One chapter began with “dear press..” and I audibly groaned. We already knew you’re writing this book TO the press, but at this point all pretense was gone. she then goes on a self-admittedly long tirade against the media…AGAIN. Unbelievable. The worst part is, she rarely actually refutes the media’s claims with any detail. The few things she does refute are so stupid, like the time someone called animal control for a horse on her property that was actually a statue. Girl, WHAT ABOUT THE DUI’S??? She brings them up a few times and rants about how they were poorly portrayed in the media, but fails to actually explain WHAT the media got wrong about it. She takes NO accountability. She gives NO detail.

And, I’m sorry, but I have little sympathy for your hatred of the media when you’ve literally chosen this lifestyle . As she repeatedly says, she’s been doing this for 30 years, way longer than most celebs. No one made you sign up to do multiple reality shows that keep you in the public eye. You could’ve sunk into obscurity and avoided the media you claim to hate so much, but you haven’t. You take active efforts to maintain relevance. At this point, you know what you are signing up for.

When she wasn’t ranting about the press, most of the rest of the book was just filler. Which I guess is inevitable considering she’s written SEVEN other autobiographies. But it really was terrible. She goes into excruciating detail for an entire chapter about her pets (who cares). At one point she starts painstakingly reading straight off a dry psychiatric report of hers.

Then, she goes on a mind-bogglingly hypocritical rant about how she hates influencers, which is INSANE considering she is literally the 90s-early 2000s version of an influencer. She really acts like if she weren’t born 20 years later, that she wouldn’t be an influencer too. Reeked of jealousy. Also she started going on about how she only gets glammed up for herself and never needed validation from anyone else, which made me laugh out loud. I thought she was making a self-aware joke, but quickly released she was not.

We end this audiobook with a 45 minute long “special guest” chapter, where Katie and her equally delusional friend Kerry Katona go on a shrill raving about the media AGAIN, each loudly hyping each other up and validating each others’ stupidity. Saying nothing of value.

What a waste of time.

I’m giving 2 stars only because she did include 2 or 3 raw, interesting, and honest stories in the book, like about her robbery in Africa. Besides those few stories, it was garbage. Her mom’s book was much better and more coherent.

Ok so first off, here’s a word of warning. If you don’t like negative book reviews I suggest you skip this one completely. I always try to shine a glimmer of positivity even in my one star reviews but this will not be happening here. Also, there probably will be one or two spoilerish comments along the way, so read at your own discretion.

So let me begin by saying that I was a huge fan of Katie Price in her earlier days and I always really admired her honesty and strength in overcoming some horrible situations. So I came into this book hoping that she would shed some light on some of the quite unpleasant events of recent years such as her drunk driving crash and reported animal neglect. Well, spoiler alert, this isn't the case. Rather than use this book as a means of addressing these stories and taking ownership of her behaviours and flaws, Katie spends pretty much the whole book going off on one blaming the media and of course men for every negative action and situation. Let’s not forget the moments where she tries to lay blame at her own daughter's feet!

There is also a mountain of inconsistencies and contradictions surrounding several scenarios and events. Katie has spoken about the majority of the topics outlined in this book herself previously whether it be on her own social media or direct media interviews and there are clearly several versions of the same story being spun.

To top it off the writing itself is all over the shop and the book needs an absolute monster of an edit, ok we get it Katie, you’ve been in the industry over 30 years, we heard you the first 123 times.

I can’t recommend this book to anyone as it’s honestly a walking red flag, so if you do plan to pick it up please be forewarned that she speaks about topics such as drug abuse, addiction, mental health, physical and sexual abuse and animal neglect in quite a flippant unpleasant manner.

To be honest, I feel quite sad writing this as it’s quite tragic that someone can have so little self awareness and it really makes me wonder the impact it has on her kids. Sadly, it’s quite clear that Katie still has many more issues within herself that she needs to work on and I honestly really do hope that she is able to do so, for herself and for those around her, both two and four legged alike.

2.5* library find!
I don’t know why but i have so much to say about this book 😭 i was really interested to read katie prices’ side of the story and then i found out she has 11 memoirs…

i wasn’t a huge fan of how it’s been written, it does literally feel like a one sided conversation but then again i felt like i could hear her talking which was entertaining but so much of it was repeated or you’re being told you’ll hear about it in another chapter

that being said i love reading memoirs and love finding out more about people, and it was interesting to hear about her life, although im quite anti-procedures i do understand why she’s felt the need to constantly alter her appearance and i think that british media and tabloids should be held accountable for the level of harassment to her. so sad to find out caroline flack had reached out to her as well weeks before she took her own life 💔

have to hand it to her, she really does say what she thinks, sometimes the way she speaks about people is a bit questionable (saying pamela anderson looks bad when she’s just embraced not wearing makeup?) but on the whole was quite entertaining and growing up i used to really like katie price because of the equestrian stuff she did, and who can forget seeing full on tits on page 3! happy times!

I listened to this on the audiobook which I really enjoyed because I think Katie did a great job at reading it. Simply because I’m nosey, I found it interesting to hear her explain the details regarding the bailiffs situation and her IVF status etc. Katie talks about her relationship with the press, body dysmorphia, her mum’s illness among other things and the audiobook includes a great extra chapter of conversation between her and one of her best friends, Kerry Katona, which was really fun to listen to.

My only criticism is the slightly oblivious and naïve nature Katie has adopted concerning her relationship with the press and her image. She assumes she is the only celebrity who is prey to this treatment from the media and the only person who experiences negative and challenging situations in everyday life.
I think she seriously underestimates how shrewd and perspective the public when it comes to understanding her. If someone doesn’t like her, it isn’t necessarily because of the media’s portrayal; she just isn’t everyone’s cup of tea!!! For example, the media don’t make her have surgeries and take drugs.

Furthermore, although I enjoyed the chapter on JJ (her boyfriend), who seems very sweet and a bit subdued. However, I did feel really uncomfortable when she started commenting on his slight change in weight, especially since he was recently diagnosed with diabetes. She called him a couple of derogatory names which I thought was really inappropriate as he has always looked a healthy weight.

Aside from this I really enjoyed the audiobook and would recommend it if you’re looking for an upbeat autobiography to get stuck into.

Great book and setting the record straight like what Katie Price said hearing it from the "horses mouth"

The press and paperazi have been making up so many stories about Katie Price and her life, and enough is enough.

TRIGGGER WARNING
This book mentions a lot of harsh life experiences, including domestic abuse, sexual abuse, child abuse, illness, mental health ,recovery, alcohol ,drug use, negative life experience, suicide, self harm/neglect, adhd diagnosis and assessment criteria, marriage breakdown ,divorce, cheating, bankruptcy and loads more.

This book can encourage others to keep on how going with the hard work and receiver is a long journey. This book can be a good insight to show that whatever happens to you ,you can move on and recover from. Please reach out for support if you need some from the right health professional.

I can not believe how much cr*p Katie Price has expirened in life but still continues to be strong detemind self which reaching out and getting her goals. Nothing gets in the Priceys way.

Great book . Now next read Amy Price The Last Word. Which I believe is a Mothers perspective account about her daughter Katie Price.

Margaret Atwood once said: “in the end we will all become stories” and so Katie Price’s wish is that we remember her story in her words and not how she has been depicted through the press.

I read a review recently about this book and how she just moans about how the press depicts her, lie and falsify stories. I recently watched her channel 4 show about her fertility issues and read her mother’s book: The Last Word, so I was a bit curious and added it to my list on Amazon. After checking my list this weekend I spotted it was included in Kindle Unlimited and I only have a couple of weeks left and as I was suffering with holiday blues/jet lag I powered through this yesterday/today.

Yes I understand that it can feel repetitive and “moany”, but dear god she definitely has a right with the trauma, hijack, suicide attempt, relationship issues, rehab etc. I guess what I’m saying is there’s no way to sugar coat her story and you probably should know what you’re signing up for when you choose a book like this. Would definitely recommend and especially if you have kindle unlimited or a free trial available.

I used to be a fan of Katie back in early days, and even used to enjoy watching her reality show that she did with Pete.
But it was during these shows that I actually started to dislike her a little, granted some of the reason was because of what I had read in the newspapers, (which is what she complains about a lot during this book), but I think she came across as quite rude.
That said, I have always enjoyed her books so decided to give this one a go as I do always like her honesty.
This book hit completely different than her other autobiographies. I felt like she was literally blaming everyone else for everything that had gone wrong in her life, and I hate to say this, but I'm not even sure what was and what wasn't true.
There was a lot of stuff that she didn't or couldn't talk about due to legal matters too, so didn't really feel that I learnt anything new than I would reading Heat magazine.
Wasn't an awful read, but was nothing special either 🙈

I don’t know what to make of the book. I picked it up (on audio) because a friend had read her earlier auto biography and had said it was good. Twenty plus years on, This book seems more like a whinge-fest about everything that’s happened since then. It jumps around from story to story without a connection to bring them to together, it results in a very jumpy read (or listen) I’m surprised she has written so many books about her life though. - what has she filled all those pages with, surely her life is not that interesting or adventurous? In fact I know she’s not, because I’ve just read about her life in this book 😖. It’s all ADHD, social media catch phrases (“empowered”, “true to self”, “manifesting”) a bit of victim-hood-ism and virtue signalling thrown in for good measure. I was pretty disappointed in this book.

This book took me 4 days to read as I got board of reading it on page 38. Sadly this book just repeats what’s in all the other books that Katie Price books. The only new thing I read about her was that she got ADHD which I have got so I sympathise with her on that. The other books written by her had more depth and more information in them. I have liked Katie Price for years and I still like her as a person. I think she has made some mistakes and she has had some hard times in her life but I think it makes Katie who she is in the end. I honestly don’t think she needs anymore children though as she already got 5 beautiful children. I will never understand why the press have so many issues with her at all and they need to back off and leave her alone. Overall a very good book xxx

I admire Katie’s resilience over the years, and her opening up about the raw moments in her life. I think Katie is also a great mum, and her last chapter touches on key points such as IVF, fertility struggles which highlights the struggles women go through.

But listening to this as an audiobook, in some chapters her narrative came across as an extended rant. Some parts of her story were vague because of legal reasons. I also felt uncomfortable listening to her call another woman that thing for no reason at all (chapter 14). I listened to it on my long runs, and it got me through. I’ve read reviews that her previous book were better.

I never really had a bad opinion of katie other then what the papers portrayed her to be she came across as a confident woman that played upto the cameras almost a show off, I didn't always understand the choices or decisions she made but have come to the conclusion reading her book I feel she has been let down by alot of people that leached off her to make a name for themselves and their own personal gain. I see her as very vunerable with nobody fighting her corner. As a whole a good read that did stop and make me think. I do feel for her and hope she finds the happiness she clearly deserves

I didn’t get much from it other than she likes to bitch about men and her past relationships, moaned constantly about her downfalls but takes no accountability for any of her actions. Not once did she seem regretful or sorry about crashing her car while drunk.
She talks about different things in each chapter, but some of it just repeats itself. It’s as though she’s trying to fill a gap.
The first book I’ve listened to of Katie’s, and it will be my last.

Katie Price has always been one of my guilty pleasures and I've read almost all of her autobiographies. I did expect a little more detail about some of her recent exes but unfortunately there's not a lot revealed. When she was listing her ex-husbands too, she forgot Alex Reid entirely!
The first half of this book honestly made me a little depressed too as I could feel how much of a tough time Katie has had it in the last few years. I didn't realise the extent of what happened to her in South Africa and how horrible it must have been.
Hopefully she has an easier time of from now on! And I will probably read her next book when it comes out LOL!
