When Cynthia hears about a competition to become Santa’s newest elf, she sees her chance to finally belong. To win, she just has to inspire more Christmas cheer than any other contestant.
Cynthia devises a risky befriend the monster who despises Christmas with every fiber of his fur. But when she comes face to face with Grim, doing whatever it takes to win gets complicated.
The songs say Santa knows if you’ve been bad or good...Now, Cynthia can only hope Santa will overlook just how naughty she’ll have to be to inspire a monster and help him rediscover the joy of Christmas.
oh how I enjoyed this book, you ever had fantasies about the grinch? Well now you can read about it! I love how in the story it shows that you never truly know someone’s story and why they are the way they are and how even when you believe you’re unlovable you’re wrong. How everyone deserves to feel loved. This was one of my favorite “christmasy” reads to date. I love Grim and Cynthia’s story.
Such a grumpy but sweet Grim! If you’re looking for a quick holiday novella with candy cane colored male member and cinnamon flavored cream this is the book for you! It’s so cute and a perfect read to discuss with your book bestie because there will be questions. Cindy Lou is all grown up in this retelling and the Christmas Monster is sweet on her. *wink*
This was such a unique story idea! When I first heard about it, I couldn’t wait to read it because it sounded so different from anything I’ve read or even seen out there, which I personally loved. It didn’t disappoint! If you’re looking for something fun and spicy to get through the dreaded months before Christmas—or to break up the Hallmark Christmas movie marathon during Winter—these are the perfect novellas. Short and not-too-sweet, definitely on the naughty list lol. I’m really excited that this author finally made her debut and can’t wait for more from her. I’ll edit with spoilers later!
Holy moly! I absolutely adore this book! I love a good monster holiday book and this one just jumped to my top favorites and one I’ll read every year. It’s an excellent twist on the story of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, but so much better, and naughtier! I don’t want to spoil any of the story so I’m just going to say this… READ THIS BOOK! I can’t wait for more of this series!
It has been well over a month since I read this book and I still don’t know if I have the words to describe what I feel. So instead let me put in plain words what this story is:
THE GRINCH FAN-FICTION EROTICA!
Yep, you read that right. This is a what if the Grinch (Grim) got with Cindy-Lou (Cynthia) and they were horny as hell! I have no one to blame but myself for constantly finding myself in these types of situations, but well I guess I’ll never learn.
I am a fan of monster romances and I know within this genre there is a lot of trash. And being a fan of MR I have learned that you have to weed through terrible book after terrible book to finally get to the rare and beautiful rose. This unfortunately was not one of those ‘rose among the weeds’ books.
🎄🚫 Now the only praise I will give this book is that it was actually decently written. I did enjoy the writing and to be honest if this story was about any other monster and not the Grinch it would have been pretty good. Also having Santa be the villain was pretty cool.
The concept of the Grinch aside, this was a solid monster romance! But I just can’t for the life of me find the Grinch attractive; no matter how hard this book tried. All I envisioned was Jim Carrey’s pot bellied Grinch the entire time.
🎄🚫 This was a Christmas themed book, (obviously), but the holiday cheer did not translate well into everything. Grim has a candy-cane striped peen and his ‘man juice’ taste of peppermint. 😳I will never be able to enjoy a candy-cane ever again. And I have so many questions about that, but I suppose those are best left unanswered.
That’s all I can and want to say about this book. I would have enjoyed this so much more had it not been The Grinch, but alas it was and I just can’t get myself to like it much.
But please don’t let my words deter you, if you feel this is something you might enjoy by all means do. I will not judge. But all in all this was just not for me.
Christmas came early!! and I think I have just found one of my favourite Christmas reads, giving naughty grinch vibes this novella is a fun, festive, sexy monster read.
Genre: Holiday Erotica Tropes: Monster romance, erotica, Grinch Who Stole Christmas + Adult Cindy Loo Who Vibes, opposites attract, Christmas, grumpy/sunshine Spice: 3/5 Content Warnings: drugging, childhood abuse POV: 1st person POV, alternating between MMC and FMC Medium: Kindle Unlimited
Cindy is competing for a position as one of Santa's helpers, and the winner is whoever creates the most Christmas cheer. So when she meets Grim, the hairy green monster who sabotages Christmas, she takes it as a Christmas Cheer Challenge. Except Grim's crass and suggestive jabs have a different effect than anticipated - it turns Cindy on! A few steamy encounters later, and Grim and Cindy are both lying to themselves about the nature of their relationship. Will they admit that they are truly catching feelings?
There were a few questionable Santa-related actions...inhibition-lowering (drugged??) holiday drinks, a Christmas orgy, and gross old-man leering and groping. While Cindy ultimately inspired Grim to change his surly ways, he was very rude and grumpy to her for most of the story.
This was a short and spicy monster romance. A fun Christmas read!
This was my first monster romance and it will not be my last!
If you're a fan of enemies to lovers, spicy scenes (that frosting scene 🥵) and all things Christmas, you'll want to check this out.
Cynthia Louise loves all things Christmas and her dream is to become one of Santa's elves. What better way to prove herself than by spreading Christmas cheer to the one man who hates Christmas the most? Enter Grim.
From the very first page, I loved Grim. He's the grumpy to Cynthia's sunshine but this big, snarly monster quickly turns into a lovesick puppy. Oh, and did I mention he tears the clothing off of her not once but multiple times?
He shows her that being on the naughty list is WAY better than being nice!

I knew I was going to like this book but did not expect to enjoy it like I did,I loved this telling of the Christmas monster and I adored the main characters so much.
Grim; I adored him the most and loved his sassiness along with his spiciness.
Cynthia; a little naive but I did like her, I loved her reindeer more though lol
The version of Grinch you did not know you wanted… 9.5/10 ⭐️ Gonna go watch the grinch now!
Favorite quote; “I love you too, Grim.” Tears stream down my cheeks as my heart flutters in my chest. “Gosh, I feel like my heart grew three sizes.” He kisses the top of my head, and a hardness grows against my leg. “I think my c*ck did too.”
Overall, I'd give this book a 4 rating. While the concept was really interesting, and there was a lot of good spicy scenes, I would have liked to see more on the characters background. While I also need to keep in mind that this is a novella and doesn't always allow for that character development I very much cherish! It was a fast read and gave me something quick and fun to read before going to bed. I love Christmas stories, and the twist on this was interesting. Look forward to reading the next book about Krampus and seeing what his story brings. I received an advance reader copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Originally I marked this as 3 stars, but let’s be honest, I liked it too much for that.
Is this grinch/Christmas obsessed-fmc erotica? Yes Was it delicious? Yes it was. And he has brothers?! On to the next.
🌶️🌶️🌶️.5
Also a note: I appreciated that while this Christmas-themed universe does have an evil Santa, it succeeded at not making me hate Christmas entirely, unlike a certain kissmas book. This makes me hate this specific Santa, but Christmas is still pretty delightful. That’s how you do it.
It was definitely an interesting take on the Grinch.
It was kinda cute in a monster smutry way.
Cynthia is an Elf in training and see needs to spread holiday cheer. What better way than to spread some cheer to the Green Monster.
Grim has reasons to hate Santa and all things Christmas. When Cynthia shows up on his doorstep, he underestimates her sheer will power to bring him joy.
A fuzzy green christmas character and Cynthia. She's spreading christmas joy, he's spreading her. As per usual, Santa is a d!ck. Don't believe me, watch Rudolph again.
Solid monster read. The green... christmas joy... has a different taste, which I always love in a book.
This author is new to me, but maybe I'll spin and another of her books will fit or I'll read her when the challenge is completed.
Wow. What a plot twist I did not see coming!?! Female elf that raises reindeer and has one of her stolen by a green monster that wrecks Christmas cheer by doing bad things. Sounds like the Grinch, but better.
I dont want to give away too much in this super quick read. I really enjoyed it. Spice was pretty good as well. 4 stars, 2 spice.
Would I recommend this book? Yes, but not to my mom.
This was a hot and spicy little Christ!as read. Cynthia is thrilled to enter one of her reindeer in the annual festivities. To be chosen by Santa is a dream come true. Its apart of her heritage. That is until she meets Grim. The infuriating green monster who she so wants to get frisky with. Tensions rise when she mentions Santa. It was hot and spicy and gooey in all the right spots.
When I’m picking up short holiday spicy reads I am expecting spice and a fun/funny plot . Nothing taking to seriously. This somewhat missed the mark for me . It wasn’t really smutty/spicy and I if I’d never seen the grinch who stole Xmas I probably wouldn’t have a really good feel for the characters based on just the book. This wasn’t for me. Spice 1/5
This was a really fun and short Christmas story. It reminded me so much of the Grinch, but with romance and spice thrown into the mix. This had me laughing, especially the little note to the readers in the beginning. I’d recommend this to anyone who likes a fun holiday read.
It was a quick read that kept me turning pages. I liked the back story, although I would’ve loved a little deeper dive. I did notice a few grammar/punctuation errors that pulled me out of the story a bit, but overall it was a fun quick holiday read.
If you were ever curious about an adult Cindy Lou and Grinch pairing, look no further than Cynthia Louise and her attempts to bring cheer to fuzzy green Grim while he wants nothing more than to have her embrace the naughty side of the holidays.
If you're looking for a quick little holiday monster romance - this is definitely the series to read!! The characters are entertaining and the smut is on point!!
This was such a good book! Even though it was a novella it was wrapped up very nicely. I never thought I’d say this but I officially love monster romance books.
