This edition has been rewritten to be easier to read than the original translation. You will enjoy this version if you tried to read the original and found it too much like reading a King James Bible. Great effort was put into making this version pleasing to read while maintaining the essence of the original.
As an added bonus, we have included a link at the end of the book where you can find the audiobook for FREE.

Ah easy read, this translation is a useful introduction to Stoic thought. Some of the ideas here are truly useful, though not unique to Stoicism in my experience. Others are more curiosities, more an indication of his times than of any great wisdom. Still, a worthwhile read both to get the nuggets of wisdom that are there and to get some insight into the mind of an influential character from so long ago.
They had it all figured out way back when. It was really passed on. These teachings should be a course in the freshman year of high school. In my opinion.
