She hoped like hell she wasn’t being trained by a prison hoe. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 A book by Ladii Nesha with a prison setting?!!! Yes please!
They say everyone plays the fool at least once in their lifetime and I guess this was Ali’s time to shine. On multiple occasions, her parents and her twin sister tried to tell her Drew’s azz was trash and didn’t mean her no good. But, good d*ck had Ali turnin’ a blind eye to her common sense. Sis was puttin’ houses and cars in her name, goin’ on drug runs, and fundin’ their lifestyle with her hard earned money. With no explanation, Drew comes home to the apartment in her name, packs all his shyt, cleans out her bank account, and dips in the car that’s also in her name. Broke and unable to pay rent, Ali is forced to tuck her tail between her legs and move back home with her parents. With no other job prospects, she gets hired at Ionia Correctional Facility as a Corrections Officer.
Isaac is that ninja in the streets but, he unknowingly let a snake in and fell victim to her schemes. He’s been stewin’ in prison for six months on some trumped up RICO charges. Isaac can’t get a trial date because, his case keeps getting delayed. Unbeknownst to Isaac and his lawyer, the prosecutor’s star witness is MIA which, is keepin’ him behind bars. When he learns of the new CO’s identity and the connection they have, a plan is formed. Ali is going to be his ticket to get out of jail. When I tell y’all this book was a good time! Jokes On You is everything we love and expect from Ladii Nesha. Loveable characters, a good storyline, and plenty of humor. Ali’s parents were a hoot and, Rocky is the twin sister we all deserve. Grab yourself a tasty beverage and be prepared to be entertained because, the COs and prisoners are runnin’ amuck at Ionia Correctional Facility.

If it’s a book by Ladii Nesha you already know it’s good, she never misses. This was a good story that pulled you in from the beginning Ali was a sweet naive girl who fell for the wrong guy and started discovering he wasn’t who he seemed. If you read any of Ladii Nesha books you know she stay with the humor this book was filled with funny moments throughout that will have you laughing, it was drama and everything else in between. Definitely recommend!!
