Tyla Walker has always been a writer, ask anyone who’s ever met her. Growing up in Georgia, she spent every summer barbecue weaving wild stories. Her momma always encouraged her, and she couldn’t have done it without her.
Tyla writes hot and fun romances, inspired by her own relationship. Her husband reads all her stories and helps her figure out the spice and action.
Is this set in a multiverse where Ben does not exist? He was literally a main character in the first book. I know this is a different story, but if it’s connected and you’re bringing back the first family as side characters, shouldn’t it have the whole family? It’s a good read, but I can’t get past forgetting Ben. That poor non-existent boy, I’m acting like he exists and his family forgot him and went on with their lives.
l loved both books, they were short but sweet, l was confused by the couple from the first book, they don't even talk about Ben, Chandra nephew, where did he go? but both stories were great, beautiful love stories
"Making This Daddy My Forever" by Tyla Walker is a delightful romance novel that will leave you smiling. The story follows Zuri, a dedicated and loyal assistant, and Carter, a charming and single father.
The premise is simple but effective: a fake marriage to secure a business deal. However, as the two spend more time together, their feelings for each other deepen. The chemistry between Zuri and Carter is undeniable, and their banter is witty and entertaining.
One of the things I love most about this book is the development of their relationship. It's heartwarming to see how they gradually fall in love, despite their initial arrangement. Tyla does a great job of balancing the romantic tension with humorous moments and heartwarming family interactions.
The supporting characters, especially Carter's daughter, add depth and charm to the story. Their interactions with Zuri are both funny and endearing.
While the plot is predictable at times, it's still a fun and enjoyable read. Tyla Walker's writing style is engaging and easy to follow.
If you're looking for a lighthearted and romantic read, I highly recommend "Making This Daddy My Forever". It's the perfect escape from reality.

He was the only one who didn't see it coming. Zuri was in love with him before any of the crazy ideas came into play. fantasizing. imagining. desiring the day it all became true. Carter was looking for an answer and asked the question to the only person that he wanted an answer from. and she gave it to him. and once she became part of their family circle, there was no going back. love blossomed. it grew. it opened up his eyes and his heart when he thought she was gone. and that's when it became real for him. he was honest about how much he loved her and didn't want to be without her. it was no longer about business or pretending. he wanted her for him and Mia. loved it.
Carter finds himself over his head when a deal is close to falling apart because he isn't married with a family. To gain the advantage he propositions Zuri to marry him on paper so that he can get the deal, but will their fake marriage be too much for her after spending time up close and personal with the man that she has secretly fallen for already. This story kept me glued to the pages to see how Carter and Zuri's relationship will end.

I feel like this book had a lot of potential but it fails to fully rise to the occasion. While I enjoy the story and characters and the endings, the plot seems rushed and even confusing at times. The plot grinds in place quite a lot and I feel like it goes back to the previous state of the relationship even though something drastic happens. But the characters are good and I did like Mia and Zuri’s relationship a lot.
The perfect situation. She is his assistant and he needs help. Why does it always come down to projecting the right image? Selling a dream that is hard to attain.
