Ashley and I were on a ski vacation, and we couldn't wait to hit the slopes -- until we heard the scary legend of Ski Mountain. According to the story, a monster snatched a boy right off the ski slopes The boy was never seen again. But it was just a story. Or that's what we thought.
Until our ski lift stopped mysterious in midair...
And the tree outside our cabin was ripped apart...
And we found giant footprints in the snow.
We were on the case. Was there really a Ski Mountain monster? We were about to find out -- one way or another

At a certain point in the series, these books stopped having original/unique plots and instead just repeated the same formula with a few tweaks. This one is not one of those. It’s less predictable, and definitely not something I was expecting.
I think that was the quickest I have read in a while. who can't love UFO's, frames people, aliens and a food scam. I don't think the girls will ever have a normal life. glad that Mary Kate and Campbell are friends again. now time for the summer break then back to white Oak.
This is another classic Mary-Kate and Ashley novel, but I wouldn't say one of the best. Two of a Kind Diaries switches between the first person diaries of Mary-Kate and Ashley, but they never really tell you whose diary it is, you just have to read until they mention the other twin or someone else starts talking to them. The book says "Recommended for ages 10-14" but I would say more 8-12. It's a good starter chapter book to get you into reading, but after a while, you start to grow out of them. I didn't have a favorite character because they never described the characters too much. It's hard to attach yourself to the characters, or to know what they're feeling. I didn't even know what half of the characters looked like, even by the end of the book! The back cover is very misleading. The back cover is supposed to tell you the main conflict in the story, but the conflict it talks about is resolved by the first twenty pages. The back cover doesn't mention the main conflict in the story at all. I am a big Mary-Kate and Ashley fan, but this book does not show it. There wasn't much humor, no character development, just a list of names, and very predictable. I would say the other Olsen twin series are better than this one. The book may be good enough for an eight year old, but even then, it's not the best book ever!
