I knew these characters would work their way into my heart just like all the characters from the shadow realms series. Poor Ellery and Ryker have already been through so much and Brenda just KEEPS putting them through more. I won’t spoil anything, but my heart truly broke for Ellery in this one. I hope things start turning in their favor very soon, because I don’t know how much more heartbreak these characters can take! After that ending, I definitely cannot wait for the next book to see how everything plays out. Another great book from Brenda!

The third installment in the Tempest series has me eagerly anticipating the rest of the story. Ellery is a formidable character, displaying remarkable strength, courage, and determination. Ryker, the perfect “book boyfriend”, complements her perfectly. He is both strong and compassionate, protective yet allowing her to be herself. Their chemistry is undeniable, and they make an unstoppable team. In this book, they continue to build their alliance against the nobles, and the plot takes an exciting turn. As usual, Brenda weaves a captivating blend of romance and suspense. I find myself impatiently waiting for the next installment in this thrilling series.

Ellery and Ryker face so many hurdles going against them. The cast of horrible immortals that they must fight against just keeps increasing. New cast members with unknown agendas as well. Great book. Can’t wait for the next. So glad the author doesn’t wait forever for the next installment. Not sure my heart could take it.

Book 3 of the Tempest of Shadows series does not disappoint. Twists, turns, evil and unrest. This one isn’t for the faint of heart but is gripping and will keep you turning the pages and wishing for the 4th book.

A Tempest of Revelations is the third book in the series, which must be read in order.
Angst galore! My stomach was in knots the whole time! The danger, the intrigue, the action! Honestly, this is such an incredible story. You think you’re dealing with one plot line, and you’re aware of other possibilities in the background, then wham the story just flipped in a completely different direction …. Brenda K Davies did a great job.
What really impressed me with this book was how strong the narrative voice was. I can now finally say that I love these characters!
I was struggling with Ellery so much in the first two books, but I finally clicked with her in this one.
I saw a lot of growth in Ryker as well. He was absolutely perfect in this book.
I love how the bonds between Tucker, Ianto, Mouse and the MCs have made them all feel like a new-found family.
The characters, world building, heat, and writing style were all phenomenal. However, I felt like there was a lot of miscommunication at the beginning of the plot that was unnecessary. Also, considering so many heartbreaking things happen in this book, I didn’t once tear up.
The villains in this book are so vile and infuriating, Davies is a master at creating villains that make you cheer for the MCs. I’m really enjoying Ellery and Ryker’s plans to eventually defeat them.
There is something about this book that made me feel very nostalgic, reminding me of Aria and Braith (from her pen name’s Captive series).
A Tempest of Intrigue can’t come soon enough! That moment at the end shocked me, but wow, go Ellery!

What a phenomenal book! It has a something for everyone, romance, desire, angst, suspense, heartbreak, strength, and determination.
Ellery is brave and resilient. She won't let anyone, or anything expose her secret, but she needs to hide the evidence before the sheriff and his men find it. Especially after hearing that the King has ordered the sheriff to take the head of the thief that dared to steal from him. She rather liked her head right where it was, attached to her body!
Ryker is determined to keep his promise to look after Tempest and save it from the monsters that are destroying it, no matter what it takes! But the secret that his father and Leo kept from him has put a twist on things. Not only is he trying to save it from Ivan, but now he has to make sure his father does not become the new ruler of Tempest either.
This is the 3rd book in a 4-book series. Ms. Davies has a knack for great character development and story building. She provides detailed descriptions that help you visualize the plot as it unfolds, and the characters continue to grow and evolve - even in book 3! The story is engaging and keeps your interest. This installment does have a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more and maybe slightly frustrated, like you need a cold shower to make it to book 4! But have no fear, Ms. Davies no doubt already has book 4 in development, and I am sure that the ending of the series will be spectacular!

Wow. Wow. Wow. This story was absolutely amazing. Brenda K. Davies writes the best characters and worlds. They are always so different from every story out there. I’ve never read a series from her that I was ever disappointed with. Every one pulls you in from page one and leaves you enthusiastically waiting for the next book. I had so much apprehension reading this because I had no idea what was going to happen next and I love it. There is no better feeling. I cannot figure out what the Duke is up to. Yet I know it’s something big. I do not know who is worse him or Ivan. Ellery and Ryker need to get it together. Although their love/hate feelings makes for amusing banter. They are going to make a formidable duo.
They both had so much dread going to the Earl’s ball. As the night progressed and things unraveled, saying it was horrific is an under statement. This put the wheels in motion that much quicker to figure out what to do next in bringing down this horrible regime. At every turn I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop. And did it ever with that ending. I need book 4 now because OMG how are we getting out of this. Can I emphasize again how much adoration I have for this series. In my opinion, Brenda can do no wrong.

In true Brenda fashion, she has picked up right where Book 2 left off. (I LOVE IT) Ellery and her mother are expected at the Earl’s Ball. Of course, all the Nobles in the Realm will be there, including Ryker and his father, the Duke. There are also quite a few villains in this Series that I can’t wait to see them FALL!! While at the Earl’s Ball, Ellery experiences so much happiness and sorrow at the same time. What transpires after the Ball, will have your emotions going in so many directions, they will not know what to do. The book’s cliffhanger will have you salivating for Book 4 - Tempest of Intrigue. Brenda really knows how to bring the characters to life. So much so, you feel like you are actually in the book with them. A MUST READ!!
The Audiobook is also SUPER AMAZING. Meg Price is a very talented narrator who does an AWESOME job bringing voices to the individual characters. I have listened to other narrators and Meg Price is by far, THE BEST!!

The book is heart stopping with twists, and turns in every chapter. Ryker is more determined than ever to find out what the Aristocrats are up to at the expense of the Amsirah people of Tempest. The Duke is a cynical, hateful, evil man with huge ambitions along with King Ivin. They will do anything to rule Tempest.
Earl Oakley throws a huge Ball for all the aristocrats. How horrible can it get with security everywhere?
Ryker’s, and Ellery’s roller coaster ride of emotional twists, and turns is heartbreaking. Can they work together?
Of course with Brenda K Davies’s incredible creativity, imagination, and world building, you won’t be able to wait for the 4th book in this series.

I have to say I absolutely devoured this book. I nearly cried when I finished. Not because of the ending but because I need more.
With new revelations being shared by the Duke, Ryker is desperate to find Ellery and tell her how he feels. He knows she will be thinking he doesn’t want her but he has some news for her. The rebels are gaining in confidence after their last raid and are ready to share their loot.
Unexpected events may change everything.
Can Ryker convince Ellery that he wants her?

Oh gosh how do I do this without giving everything away?!?! There was some very unexpected things that happened in this book and I am LOVING every minute of it, but at the same time I am very sad about something that happened in it as well. Lots of blood shed in this book, but a lot of great things happened as well. Ellery has been through so much in this series that it is truly heartbreaking with everything she has to go through and there is so much more to come, but at least she has Ryker to help her through it all.
I am still trying to wrap my on head around how Brenda can put all of this action pack/drama into such a smooth transition. I cannot wait until the next book comes out!

The two MC have chemistry from the start, even they can't denie. Ellery is a brave and resilient main character who won't let anyone or anything expose her secrets.
Ryker is the male main character who can be rough around the edges but a softy inside. In this book, they continue to build their alliance against the nobles and plot to take over the kingdom, but a few turn of events happen that no one seen coming.
As usual, Brenda works her book magic, giving us a captivating blend of romance, and action packed book that keeps me wanting more and more.

This is the third book in the series and it had me on the edge of the page the whole time. Ellery and Ryker have been through so much and in this book they are up against the nobles who just keep coming at them. Will the nobles destroy Ellery and Ryder or will they conquer and finally destroy them? This one really pulls at your heartstrings when reading it. After the way this book ended I can’t wait to see how the next book is going to go. It’s definitely not wanna you wanna miss out on but knowing how Brenda’s books are I’m really hoping there’s a HEA coming for them soon and not much more devastation

As one great book ends on a cliffhanger, you know the next one reveals little secrets only to drop you right off another cliff. This newest edition does NOT disappoint, and keeps you on your toes with every single page. The plot thickens and the plotting goes deeper than you’d believe. I highly suggest you gather all your snacks & drinks beforehand, buckle up and get snuggled in because you’re in for a bumpy ride you will NOT want to get off. The highs and lows we expect from Brenda, with some gnarly curves thrown in. No lie, I’m pretty sure I may have gotten whip lash with some of the twists & turns of this episode in Tempest. Can’t wait for the next!

It's hard to convey battle scenes; the sheer visceral energy, terror & bloodlust can be diluted on the page. There's no such problem here. It feels almost wrong to admit how thrilling the raw violence becomes when you desperately want "your" side to emerge triumphant. Add to that the terrible vengeance that the King is raining down on the hapless "rebels & it becomes a righteous fight. Ellery is forced to undertake the riskiest move of all, in order to save Ryker & the rest of the crew. It's a real moment of the tide turning but whether it's for or against the rebels remains to be seen.

A Tempest of Revelations is book 3 of the Tempest of Shadows series and let me say OMG, it was jaw dropping! The twists and turns the story takes will leave you guessing and wanting more. I do recommend reading the first 2 books to understand what is happening to these people. If you thought the first 2 books showed how evil the people in power can be, just wait till you read this one. This book will grip at your heartstrings and lastly...... WOW you will be blown away with that cliffhanger begging for book 4.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a strong female character. Ellery's capacity for love Is beyond all measure, and not limited by class or station, demonstrating her concern for the welfare of everyone in her realm. Davies writes with a critical eye and imagination that conjures up both the stunning and grotesque sides of humanity and its many forms. Experience the fantasy through the eyes of a stellar writer, although you may have to read through your fingers at the scary parts!

Wow, just WOW! Grab this book now so you enjoy the new year with a new read. I’ve loved all of this authors books. I feel we are lucky to get a peek into her imagination. I love that the heroines in her stories are strong, caring, resilient women. And Ellery is this female. She is kind, caring, loving. Ryker, the male hero, loves, adores, will kill for Ellery ( swoon ) and is trying to save the realm. I love this couple and how the author shows us how love can be. But, there are evil characters too. All the emotions are in this story. I think everyone needs to grab this now. Enjoy!!

Brenda K Davies takes you on an adventure once again. A Tempest of Revelations takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride. From the first page to the last page Revelations was a fabulous read!! The characters are developed in a way that you are growing with them and you can feel the emotional challenges that they go through as if you are right there experiencing things with them. Ryker and Ellery are quite the team and ready to take on everything to right the wrongs. Revelations is so good that you never want it to end. The series is a must read!

Great read!!!
This book brought me to tears, more than once. It’s a testament of great this author is. You get so wrapped up in the story that you feel the emotions and this book was a definite emotional roller coaster. I had trouble putting it down. Ryker and Ellery are fabulous characters as well as their friends and family, well minus one family member. He can rot somewhere forgotten by all. I will say this book was a hot and I anxiously await the next. I need to know what happens!!!! LOL

I just devoured this wild story and I'm still reeling from the experience! THE argument scene was so intense, I was literally on the edge of my seat, screaming "YEAH SHE DID!" at the top of my lungs... until I remembered I was at work and my coworkers were giving me weird looks. Anyway, this book is seriously addictive. Ellery is an amazing heroine who's grown so much throughout the series. I'm dying to know how it all ends! Tits out for now lol

Tempest of Revelations was filled with plenty of drama, anger, revenge, friendship and love. The result? It kept me glued to my seat reading until my eyes blurred. I got up, got coffee, some eye drops and dove right back in!
There are characters I happily do enjoy reading about them being unalived, while I also enjoying the budding relationships with characters I want to be friends with. Oh, and Ryker, um yeah... Another book boyfriend.

Book 3 and things are really heating up!!!
Tempest is in turmoil the people are fighting back against those who are trying to keep them down trodden.
Ellery faces more personal turmoil, Ryker is learning who he can truly trust and together they will eventually get tempest back for everyone.
This continuing story is like unraveling a spider web of lies and deception, it’s a must read and I can never put a new story down once I start.

This story is only getting better and more exciting which is Brenda's norm. In this third sequel there are lots of twists and turns. Ups and downs. Heavy duty nail biters and a few tear jerkers. As Ryker, Ellery and their little band of thieves try to make life better for the Amsirah the danger only heightens from the king and his cronies. The end of this book holds a surprise that will make you wish Spring was here for the release of book four! Brenda you're a genius!

If you thought that the first two books were heartbreaking then this addition to the series will rip your heart out and crush it into the ground.

Emotion is strength... no doubt about that. With each book, each chapter, I am left wanting more and more ... all in the best ways possible. How much longer can the people of Tempest last under oppressive rule? This is another A + series by Brenda K Davies, character to love and hate, worlds to lose yourself in, always a great read!!
