My first Shannon Redmond book won’t be my last. I was on the edge of my seat, biting my nails wondering who the killer is and why are they killing these women. The who and why will be a surprise ending.

Detective Leila Kane is investigating a murder case that soon turns into a search for a serial killer. When Leila is almost abducted her former fiancé, TJ Snowe, is assigned to protect her. They work together to identify the killer before he claims more women’s lives. As they work to capture the killer they are reminded of what they once had. Can they move forward and have it once again?

Homicide detective Leila Kane is working on a case involving a serial killer when she becomes his target. Assisted by her former partner and fiancé T.J. Snowe, Leila is determined to follow the clues and find out who is abducting women from her neighborhood, killing them and leaving them near waterfalls. This is a cleverly written page-turner with some remarkably well-hidden clues and tension that escalates as Leila gets closer to the killer. The author did a great job of using skillful misdirection as she balanced action with the growing attraction between the two main characters. This book included believable characters, a loving and supportive family for Leila, and an intriguing plot that was just complex enough to keep me guessing. The plot was well-crafted and showed good chemistry between the characters, with a propulsive pace and believable drama. I really enjoyed getting to know the characters who were easy to cheer for and I especially enjoyed the mystery of the identity of the serial killer and his motivation. The fast pace kept me reading and enjoying every minute I spent with Leila and T.J. and I was totally invested in their happily-ever-after, if they could both just survive.

There’s so much going on in this book I don’t know where to begin! Jam packed with tension and danger, this story takes you on a thrill ride that feels like it has no end.

Don’t worry. It ends with a jaw dropping revelation and a twisted mystery finally makes perfect sense. Good luck figuring out who the unsub is and the motivation behind the crimes!

Mountain Murder Threat is a fantastic exciting story. I read it in a very short time. I couldn't get through it fast enough.

Leila Kane is a homicide detective on the hunt for a serial killer. She must be getting close, because she's in the killer's crosshairs. After escaping his clutches, Leila is assigned protective detail, headed by her ex-fiance, TJ Snowe.
TJ isn't sure why Leila's being targeted but one thing he knows, he'll protect her with his life.
As they work together to figure out who is targeting her the danger grows and it all seems to boil down to something that happened in her family's past.
This story's ending totally blew my mind in more ways than one.

TJ and Leila are not a couple any more but are now working together on a case of abducted women. The chaos and the crimes are stacking up and the target seems to be on Leila.

There were so many things I loved about the book. The Kane women were so strong and independent, which was so admirable. I love when the characters faith shines through when they are in the deepest valley.

This book will keep you on the edge of the page as you try to discover who is behind all of threats!

This story definitely kept me on the edge of my seat! It has all sorts of exciting and dangerous moments while Leila and TJ are tracking a serial killer who has his sights on Leila. I enjoyed the second chance romance aspect and the turns the mystery took. I wish it had ended a little differently but overall this was a good read for me.

I enjoyed this book. It had a lot of suspense and intrigue.

Leila is out for her early morning job but someone tries to abduct her?! Why and who? She is trying to find a serial killer as a detective, is he after her now? What is going on? Will TJ be able to protect her and they find the killer they are looking for?

Check this new book out. You will enjoy it if you enjoy suspense books!

Mountain Murder Threat is fast paced, full of suspense and an edge of your seat book. It will keep you guessing. I didn’t figure out who the murderer was, it took me by surprise. It’s also a second chance romance book. If you enjoy, good, clean mysteries and romances, this just might be the book for you.

Mountain Murder Threat was so good. I loved all the intrigue, the second chance romance, and the fact that the female MC was also a law enforcement officier. She and her sisters were tough as nails and did a great job taking care of themselves, even when in the clutches of a madman. I was even surprised by the identity of the antagonist. That doesn’t happen often. I definitely recommend this one.

Wow—What an action packed, adventurous, nail-biting read! I enjoyed this book and loved the characters in the story. It's definitely a book which is un-put-downable! I found myself turning page after page until I'd finished it the very same day. I highly recommend this book if you are a die-hard romantic suspense fan.

Detective Lelia Kane is investigating a couple murders of women. One thing in common was a military pinned on them. Ex fiancé T J ends up helping her. This book is a fast paced, can’t put down book. Excellent reading for all.

This is the second book in a series, though it's wonderful to read them in order, I think this one can be read as a standalone. This story is about Leila Kane who goes out for a run early one morning and someone tries to abduct her. She fights back but the man is stronger than her, but the security guard helps her. Her former fiance TJ Snowe gets the call about her near abduction and goes out on the call. Leila is one of several women who have also gone missing. Who is behind these abductions and murders, and why? Then her twin sister gets abducted. This book is non-stop action from the first page until the last spine tingling page. I can't wait for the other books in this series. Grab your copy to find out what happens and be ready to read it all in one day. You will even get a chuckle out of this book, or at least I did. "That stuff will kill ya." She smiled. "At least I'll be awake when it does." I also need to mention, this book is set basically at my back door so I felt like I was right there in the book along with the characters. Mountain Murder Threat is the second book in author Shannon Redmon's Kane Sisters series. I loved not only the second chance romance aspect between Leila and TJ, but also the family aspect. The four Kane sisters, along with their mother, rally around each other the way elephants form a circle around their young to keep predators away. Their faith and determination make for a winning combination!
I highly recommend this book, and if you haven't read it yet, grab yourself the first in the series, Unraveling Killer Secrets, while you're at it. They are both stand-alone books, but why read one good story when you can read two?

Leila Kane and TJ are put back together when a series of women start to be kidnapped and appear murdered. But on a normal morning routine Leila is almost another victim on the list of her team. That's when TJ comes in.

With a romantic past, can these two find the person behind this. With mystery and suspense the author embraces us with these strong women of faith that make up Leila's family. And can TJ and Leila find the person behind this and give their past a second chance. Despite a family secret.

I always find myself in surprise at the ending but this story really out did itself. You'll be surprised with it.

This is one of those books that is fast paced, full of energy and mystery, and downright creepy with a serial killer on the loose. I found myself gritting my teeth and hanging onto the sides of my chair as the hunt began. The biggest question in the beginning is who is the hunter?

Detective Leila Kane has a target on her back from a serial killer who is abducting and killing women in their community. When she narrowly escapes abduction, she is assigned a protective detail by none other than her ex, Officer T.J. Snow.

This was a great serial killer thriller with all of the eerie vibes, but it was also a second chance romance with an inspirational message as well.

This book is a marathon which means once you start it, you will not stop until you finish it.

This was quite the thrill ride from start to finish. Pulse pounding action drew me in immediately and the pacing kept steady throughout. I loved the ending and was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Leila and TJ are both in law enforcement but they split when Leila got a promotion that TJ wanted. Now a serial killer is on the loose and throwing them together whether they like it or not. With the help of Leila's family, these two can take on anything together.

This book is well written with characters I was rooting for the entire time. I love how much suspense is integrated into the book alongside the romance. This may have been my first book by this author but I will be picking up the rest of her list after this book!

I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars because it’s so good. Police detective Leila Kane is targeted by a serial killer and has to work with her ex-fiancé Officer TJ Snowe, who has been assigned as her primary protection officer. They struggle to keep their past from affecting the investigation as the serial killer continues to pursue his quest to kill Leila. This book is an edge of your seat, hard to put down, page turner clean romantic suspense that kept me reading late into the night. Faith and hope are gently woven into the story to allow light to shine in the darkness. I definitely recommend this book.

Detective Leila Kane is working one of those cases that seems to have a totally unknown motive, other than the fact that the victims are all female. Now it would appear she is on the hit list as well. TJ, her ex-boyfriend, is charged with her protection. Can their relationship survive this, and can the past finally be forgiven? This fast paced story left me trying to figure out who the murderer is. Will TJ manage to keep her safe long enough for the killer to be found?

Shannon Redmon has long been a favorite author of mine as she pens God centered stories of faith, hope and love.

The mystery surrounding Leila is fascinating. Officer TJ Snow is definitely unaided bonus to helping her solve the mystery of her attacks. He's a great hero.

Can you imagine going on your normal early morning run and it takes a drastic turn where you are almost kidnapped! I can't imagine as a civilian how I would feel, but to know this almost happened to Detective Leila Kane is even scarier since she has training. She must team up with her ex, TJ Snowe and be able to put aside their differences to work together to solve this danger before Leila is really kidnapped and possibly even killed. Will they be able to solve it in time? Shannon is always keeping you on your toes and guessing what will happen next! I really enjoyed this read! Great job Shannon!

This is book#2 in the Kane Sisters series but can be read as a standalone book.

This book is action packed from the first chapter. Leila is a homicide detective that has a serial killer who is targeting her after committing other murders in the area that Leila is investigating. TJ is an officer and the former fiance of Leila who is tasked with keeping her and her family safe until the killer is captured.

Lots of near death situations and both Leila and TJ realize they still have feelings for each other.

I thought this was a gripping suspense story. I found myself not wanting to put it down. From the first page we are drawn into the story and want to know what happens next and why the villain is doing what they are doing. I loved that TJ and Leila are made to work together and I loved seeing their romance rekindle. I loved the strong characters in this book and I hope that there are other books with the other Kane sisters. I liked how everything resolved and I was surprised by who the murder was. I will read other books by this author.

When it says suspend, it means a lot of suspense, twists, and turns that will keep you guessing! Leila Kane and all of her sisters are in law enforcement and are very good at what they do. But when it becomes apparent that Leila is the target of a serial killer, her ex-fiancé is put in charge of her protection. Having to put their differences aside for her safety, and hope they can figure out who the killer is before he strikes again! I enjoyed trying to figure it out, and have to say that I was totally surprised

This is the first book I've read by this author, but it definitely won't be my last! I really enjoyed this one. I read it in one day! And I have to say it kept me up at night! The characters were so well developed and likeable. There are twists and turns throughout the whole book and I didn't see the ending coming! I haven't read the first one in this series, but I will now. I will definitely read more books by this author. I highly recommend this book!

Buckle up! This intense adventure starts on the very first page and doesn't slow down until the epilogue. this book kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time and I was shocked by the ending. Besides the suspense (which was amazing), I loved the characters, especially how close the Kane sisters were and TJ and Leila were perfect together - even if they couldn't see it. Overall, this is one of the best Love Inspired Suspense I've ever read and I will definitely be rereading this one!
