About the author
Caitlin Crews
1,222 books606 followersCaitlin Crews discovered her first romance novel at the age of twelve, in a bargain bin at the local five and dime. It involved swashbuckling pirates, grand adventures, a heroine with rustling skirts and a mind of her own, and a seriously mouthwatering and masterful hero. The book (the title of which remains lost in the mists of time) made a serious impression. Caitlin was immediately smitten with romances and romance heroes, to the detriment of her middle school social life. And so began her life-long love affair with romance novels, many of which she insists on keeping near her at all times, thus creating a fire hazard of love wherever she lives.
Caitlin has made her home in places as far-flung as York, England and Atlanta, Georgia. She was raised near New York City, and fell in love with London on her first visit when she was a teenager. She has backpacked in Zimbabwe, been on safari in Botswana, and visited tiny villages in Namibia. She has, while visiting the place in question, declared her intention to live in Prague, Dublin, Paris, Athens, Nice, the Greek Islands, Rome, Venice, and/or any of the Hawaiian islands. Writing about exotic places seems like the next best thing to actually moving there.
She currently lives in Oregon with her animator/comic book artist husband and their menagerie of ridiculous animals.

“You left me in that cottage!” I burst out. “How can you say all these things and expect me to believe you when your actions point to something else entirely?”
“How could I tell you who I was?” he demands.
Easily.
(…)
“Bold words for a man who has been icy in the extreme all day every day,” I say, my head tipped back as I look up at him. “Almost as if he’s embarrassed—”
“My beautiful wife,” he says, laughter threaded into his voice, his smile, his eyes, “I did not wish to scare you off. If it were up to me, we would never get out of bed at all. I could not be less embarrassed by you, for there is not one part of you I do not love. Not one. Not ever.”
Well done! 😎
BTW, Luc Garnier was really an amazing choice! And I really loved the Remington Steel reference. ( Yes, I am old enough to remember the series ☺️ )

This was a fun read.
It kept you in the dark of where their romance was going and who the hero was.
Like the character build up and their romance.
This had a lot of heart, emotions and chemistry.
Absolutely love the ending and the epilogue is pure Caitlin Crews, excellent!!!!

As always, this is beautifully written. CC’s skill and mastery of the English language is outstanding. Both the prose and the dialogue are captivating.
The premise was interesting but then the explanation of why he was pretending to be Luc, felt a little bit flat and it was annoying that the blurb let us know who Luc actually was before I had even read the first page!
There’s little action here. In fact like so many recent Mills and Boon books recently, it seems to consist of dialogue between h/H and interior monologues. This is incredibly frustrating when it interrupts dialogue. I found myself having to go back 3/4 pages to find out what the other person had said.
What I did like was that both the hero and heroine were engaging and their love story felt real and developed right before our very eyes throughout the book. Very emotionally satisfying.

"Her Accidental Spanish Heir" is the story of Annagret and Taio.
The second half of this book makes it a worthwhile read!
The heroine invents a fake boss to keep her business running, and is shocked when the fictional man shows up at her workplace! Battle of wills, a sexy night, a pregnancy and discovering the hero's hidden identity forms the first half of the book. The second half has a marriage, a hearty confession of love and a heartwarming happy ending.
Oh I loved the last two chapters.
