So Dahlia is a rich girl who's breaks away for a moment at her debut ball she runs into Antonio, and things happen, and well, her father, without her knowing, sends him to prison. Now, present time, he's out for revenge on the father, and she's part of it.

She's confused about why she's her groom and how he's treating her, not mean but like mean enough. And his punishments weren't bad ;). The chemistry was okay.

What made me annoyed was Dahlia betrayed him near the end to go with her father, who sold her out earlier, locked her away again, and was about to kill her husband. And what does Antonio do?!? Forgives her and forgives the whole family. Like, SIR REALLY??? After his wife makes up with him.

The fist that’s been in my solar plexus since the moment I woke up and my mother started berating me about everything I had to do, everything that wasn’t perfect about me yet, tightens. I stare past him into the inky black of the water below. “Supposedly.”

I take the cigarette from his fingers and attempt another drag. Cough some more. “I guess.”
“Well.” He gives me a sweeping, critical gaze. “You wear it well.”
I lift a surprised gaze to his face, trying to gauge if he means it. I wasn't expecting a compliment. I thought for sure he’d throw derision.
Once I look, I find it impossible to look away. I’m blasted by his good looks. The crinkles at the corners of his eyes, a Roman nose, and a square jaw. Large hands that look like they could inflict great damage.

He takes the cigarette from my fingers and tosses it into the water. “Well, then.” He holds out his palm like a gentleman.
I’m suddenly dizzy as I contemplate taking it. As if I know, somehow, that if I do, my life will never be the same.
“Come on.” He tips his head away from the rail like he has some plan. “Let's see if we can get you into some real trouble.”

This book stole my heart. It has everything you would expect in a good Mafia romance. It is a compelling journey that will have you on a knife edge. There was so much to like about this book. The intense storyline is filled with action, danger, characters good and evil, and revenge. The chemistry between Antonio and Dahlia sizzled. The punishment scenes were sensual only. I came to like the characters because of the qualities I saw in them and hoped for a happy ending.

One thing Ms. Rose does in this book is shatter the stereotypical expectations of a Alpha male. There was so much more to Antonio than meets the eye. Yes, he was dangerous, brutal, and out for revenge against the King family, but once he realized that he did not want revenge against Dahlia, he did everything to make her dreams come true. Her father was a different matter after he made Antonio’s life a living hell due to one kiss.

Dahlia lived her life pleasing her parents. She was expected to marry the man of their choice, but instead, she paid the price for her father's sins and found herself married to Antonio. Dahlia was sassy at times and enjoyed pushing Antonio’s buttons. I loved how she taunted Antonio and threw his rules back into his face, but his addictive punishments kept her on edge.

The book's beauty was the emotional growth of both characters. It was a short read, but i was not left feeling dissatisfied, and I lived a happy ending

This was a fantastic spicy quick read! I really enjoyed this mafia romance I loved the beginning there was some great banter and what happened after blew my mind Dahlia’s dads an asshole for sure! Antonio and Dahlias chemistry was sizzling hot the spicy scenes were so good. I really love this author she writes in two of my favorite tropes ever and her writing is amazing! Can’t wait to read more in this series!.

Have you read Renee Rose's newest reason yet? "Revenge" is the first book in her new "Yacht Kings" series, and it's everything you'd want in a light Mafia romance. Both the MMC and FMC are strong characters, and yet, neither one is the persona they show to the world. My heart went out to each of them for the trials they had been put through, but as Antonio stated, it brought them to their now. It was a terrific read with spice.

I'm not going to lie, the dates felt unnecessary because it added nothing to the story? I guess the goal was because it is mafia and it made it more of a plausible story? I'm not so sure.

It was ok, not great. I felt like with more length we could've really fleshed out the chemistry and built something more. It very quickly flipped the script from attempting to escape, feeling guilty over it, and all of a sudden being in love with him? Quick, spicy and a good filler book but this could have been so much more with added detail

Revenge is Book 1 of the Yacht Kings series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, opposites-attract, girl gets her mafia man, second-chance darkish romance. Dahlia is the sweet and sassy daughter of a millionaire who owns a yacht business. She is a debutant with her life planned by her parents. At her debutant ball, she meets Antonio, a hunky caterer on her dad's yacht, and things get a bit steamy. Daddy dearest catches them, and unbeknownst to Dahlia, has him sent to jail for 3 years. They meet 7 years after that first meeting at her wedding. She is supposed to marry the mayor, but Antonio, now a hunky mafia man, is out for revenge against the family and marries her. He wants Dahlia as part of that plan but ends up falling for her all over again. She's thought of him often, too, over the years. These two were so snarky with each other at times. It was hysterical, but the chemistry was off the charts hot 🔥🥵. Dahlia found she liked her punishments that Antonio gave her. There is some daddy drama, but our couple does get a happy ending. This was a great, fast-paced, somewhat kinky romance. I loved it!!.

This gave me so many shades of Romeo and Juliet. Dahlia is forced to marry Antonio, but did he really have to force her?? She's gives as good as she gets. She's a feisty hot young woman. Antonio never knows what to expect from his firecracker of a wife, and that's just fine with him. This was a captivating love story I highly recommend

J'ai toujours du mal à commencer les avis que je laisse sur les livres car je ne veux pas être trop dure mais je ne veux pas mentir non plus.
Le résumé de l'intrigue m'a peut être fait trop espérer. Antonio et Dahlia se rencontrent au bal de débutante de cette dernière. Il est serveur et elle est la reine de la fête. C'est un coup de foudre entre nos deux protagonistes et la personnage principale n'hésite pas à aller chercher ce qu'elle veut bien qu'elle soit déjà promise à un autre, Jake. Ce dernier m'a semblé mal introduit dans l'histoire.
Il est présent à la fête de Dahlia et sa seule intervention est pour venir lui dire qu'elle n'est pas encore assez âgée pour qu'il la fréquente alors qu'il est clairement stipulé qu'ils finiront par se marier. Puis on passe à la scène du mariage qui est plutôt bien écrite. C'est à partir de ce moment que mes attentes ont commencé. Avant de complètement disparaître. La femme qu'il est censée épouser afin qu'elle l'aide à acquérir plus de pouvoir politique, qui est la raison même de ce mariage arrangé, disparaît des radars sans rien faire. Comme s'il n'avait aucune ambition politique bien que ce soit ce qui a été vendu avec ce personnage.
Malheureusement, tout va trop vite. En clair, on m'a vendu des personnages profonds mais la profondeur des caractères des personnages a été mal exploitée. Les changements chez les personnages sont mal amenés, les événements qu'ils vivent sont inexistants. De plus, bien que Dahlia soit amenée comme ayant du caractère, on peut remettre en cause sa logique.
Il aurait fallu mieux exploiter les personnages, leurs histoires, leurs liens, cette idée de vengeance que ce soit d'un côté ou d'un autre.

This novella might be short on pages, but it did make an impact. I found the lead characters likable, and even though they were somewhat opposites, they were terrific together. Their chemistry was immediate and held fast over many years.

Antonio Beretta was out to get revenge on The Yacht King, and honestly, I couldn’t blame him. He certainly took his time and did his homework, demonstrating his methodical and determined nature. What I liked best about Antonio was how he could admit when he was wrong and do something about it.

Dahlia King was not quite the pampered princess of the society pages, and I felt sorry for her. Meeting Antonio was the one thing in her life that meant so much. Years later, the circumstances of their second meeting were not quite so conventional.

I liked how Antonio and Dahlia's relationship evolved, especially Dahlia’s feisty nature. The few action scenes were executed well and were very exciting. Although I was a bit disappointed there wasn’t more action and drama included in the story, it was still an entertaining book.

Dahlia, the female lead, has always been an asset in her parents’ arsenal. At her débutante ball, she takes a moment to herself and sees Antonio, the male lead and catering employee, having a cigarette break. When she engages with him, they end up in a clinch.

7 years later, Dahlia is supposed to marry the mayor who has presidential aspirations but, when she arrives at the end of the aisle, she finds Antonio there and her parents heartily endorsing her marrying him. She might have married him under duress but that doesn’t mean she has to be obliging!

Antonio thought he was in his scheme just for revenge but, once he gets Dahlia to himself, he find himself more enthralled than he meant to be.

It wasn’t supposed to be a marriage with real feelings, and Dahlia’s father is still trying to get her back. Have they got a chance?

This novella is dual POV, well written, and a darker, mafia, age gap, enemies to lovers romance. I enjoyed Dahlia’s resilience and that her regimented life hadn’t quashed her enthusiasm and spirit. I enjoyed Antonio’s changing perspective on his aims, and appreciated that he didn’t allow his anger with Dahlia’s father to continue to colour his interactions with her. I enjoyed their banter and boundary setting/pushing. I enjoyed their steamy intimate interactions. I enjoyed Dahlia’s cleverness in resolution finding.

This was a great read, a mafia / billionaire / revenge read - Dahlia is the debutante daughter of the Yacht King, her life is already mapped out for her, a husband picked out. She runs out on her own ball looking for something else, and finding Antonio, a server on the boat, not afraid to give her something different.....

Fast forward 7 years and Antonio is there to exact his revenge on the Yacht King and his family, stealing his daughter from her own wedding and making her his own wife.

Antonio is determined to reap his revenge for what Dahlia's father did to him, taking what is his in every sense of the word. But he has always liked Dahlia, he likes her fire, and sets about trying to make her submit to him. But he finds himself liking her even more, the more he gets to know her, and wants nothing more to please her and care for her. But he does enjoy punishing her and making her squirm.

Dahlia never forgot about Antonio but never knew what her parents did to him. He has starred in her dreams for many years, but she can't let him know any of this. She's sassy with him and answers him back, pushing his buttons and earning some punishments which she starts to enjoy.

I enjoyed this, the dynamics between Dahlia and Antonio just sizzled! This was a quick and enjoyable read and I look forward to reading more in this series.

Wow! Meet Antonio Beretta and fall hard for the new Mafia-Style Yacht King. Although I truly wish this book was longer, Revenge (Book 1 of the Yacht King Series) by Renee Rose was incredibly good! Dahlia is the rich socialite, daughter to a powerful owner of a yacht business. Her entire life has been consistently controlled by her parents: what she could eat, what she could wear, and who she would marry. During her debutant ball, Dahlia rebels, leaving her party of family and friends, where she meets about.

That boy, Antonio Beretta, was deemed "not good enough" by Dahlia's father when he found the two kissing and groping each other in a coat closet. So Dahlia's father has his men and the legal system, and take care of the upstart boy.

That boy, Antonio Beretta, is now a man, polished and refined, and a Mob boss for the Beretta family. And he is there to collect his pound of flesh...literally, in the form of the socialite bride who is about to be married to a mayor, one who was deemed fit by the same yacht owner.

OMG, the book sizzles as you flip the pages! I loved the characters. The book is short and easy to breeze through, unless you have needy family members, that is. The heat level is 10 hot peppers, so I do recommend this reading for those of 18 years or older. Do check trigger warnings, you know, in case it might offend some readers.

How does making out with a guy in a broom closet suddenly turn into a plan for revenge? Yeah, I couldn't fathom it either, until I heard the reasoning behind it all. Imagine your father and mother both somehow managing to get a young man arrested simply because he'd kissed you, touched you, made you *feel* something! Not that you'd know. You only notice his absence, not the fact that he's been forcibly so.

Man oh man, this story took the case of overly judgemental parents to the next level. I abhor forced marriages to begin with, so the notion that this young woman was about to be forced into one with a man who would someday be president just made me sick. Top it off with the fact that the day of the ceremony, plans change? I mean, I'd have hitched that train too!

With everything set in motion for the perfect revenge, it's hard to say whether it's just that, or if there's something more brewing beneath the surface when our MMC ends up ensuring his new wife knows just whose thumb she is now under. And what she wants to try to do to break free of it.

I recommend this book for anyone with a love of mafia and HEA, anyone who loves drama, and of course a good punishment where it's deserved (Oh yes, there's a definite spice level in this book!).

This was fantastic! I absolutely love Renee's books and this was no exception! The writing style flows so well, I get sucked into the story and I keep turning those pages to see what will happen next. There is action and in this one a history between the two leads which I just love. The chemistry! So good!

The two literally were torn apart after a wild attraction and a stolen moment. Her dad tried to ruin his life so he returned the favor in spades. Now he wants revenge and he wants his due. And he'll have it, in the form of marrying the man's daughter. They very same one he's always wanted.

The whole set up was intriguing. I love how he grew into his own and took what he wanted. And she was no slouch herself! She very much held her own and carved him every bit as he craved her. But before that she tested his patience and didn't back down from him. I love how he was with her. All in all he excited her and the two finally got to give into the passion that had always simmered between them. I do wish we got more about his family and his people, that would have been amazing. Like every Renee book I've read, this was entertaining and hot!

Captivating reading, wonderful characters and storyline that will hold you totally captivated
This was a wonderful read and I have to say that I was completely captivated by this wonderful book and I guarantee that you will find yourself totally wrapped up in this story and guarantee you will be left waiting in anticipation to discover the outcome.
Babs and Benedict, the Yacht King as he is better known, Antonio had been the one that had most definitely seen the heat of desire in her gaze and even though he knew she was a little spoiled believed that he could overcome this.
Then it seems that he has decided that he is going to seek retribution for the time he served in prison but now that he is part of the Beretta Crime Family and is going to ensure that her father is taken to the cleaners and then he is going to have her under her control and will ensure that she pays back every infraction by taking it from her mind, body and her soul.
I guarantee that you will be blown away by this wonderful book and will look forward to future books in the series.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

Revenge is what Antonio, scion of a mafia family, is seeking at the start of this book. He never wanted to be a part of mafia life—but then he met Dahlia, daughter of the man known as the Yacht King. And their very mild dalliance at her debutante ball (where he’s a waiter) leads to actions against Antonio that shift his life and drive his need for the titular revenge.

Rose is playing with a dark hero here, but he really isn’t that dark. While he wants to ruin Dahlia to hurt her father, he pretty much becomes putty in her hands quickly. I liked that Dahlia wasn’t a damsel in distress—she was always prepared for a dynastic marriage, so she adjusted when her situation changed. And there’s one move she pulls in this book that brought a big smile to my face.

But these two get over their issues very quickly—a bit too quickly for me to buy the logic of it. That’s the peril of a novella, alas. But Rose is such an assured writer that she makes this improbable scenario satisfying overall. I found myself rooting for Antonio and Dahlia, and I’m sure you will, too!

As a young socialite at her coming-of-age party, Dahlia couldn’t have been more miserable. Destined to fulfill a roll befitting her family’s wealth and status, her entire life was already mapped out for her; whom she would marry, the clubs she would hold membership to, friends she would have, etc. There was not a single thing in her life she could control. Antonio is temptation personified. He is the bad boy she can never have and as handsome as sin. One kiss and both of their lives are changed forever. Fast forward seven years, she is dreading her betrothed and dictated life and he is ready for revenge.
This is book one of the Yacht Kings Series. The chemistry between the two MCs is electric. I literally felt the tension between them as they fought their attraction. Ms Rose has a way with writing steamy scenes that is unmatched and never disappoints.
I recommend this novel for mature audiences only due to sexual content.

A mafia novella length story that packs a punch despite its brevity. When an innocent kiss cost Antonio his freedom, it might’ve taken him seven years but here he was, with all his plans for revenge falling into place it was now time for him to claim his prize, his bride.

For me, The Yacht King’s Revenge was over too quickly. The overall story was well written with a good pacing to it with fabulous characters in Antonio and Dahlia. They were perfectly matched and once Antonio realised, Dahlia was innocent in what her father had done to him, he began to look at her in a new light seeing that she spent her life as her parents' puppet and he encouraged her to follow her dreams and do what she loved. The chemistry between them sizzled exploring lighter elements of BDSM with Antonio definitely a hero who likes to administer a mild spanking. With just the right amount of spice and drama, this made for a relatively quick and enjoyable read.

3.5 Stars. I started reading this book. I immediately checked the title thinking that I had read this before. Dahlia, the revenge bride of Antonio, of the Beretta mafia family.

As I continued to read, I had the feeling of "been there, done that". Then something shifted. I am not quite sure what it was or how it was done, but the story felt different to me.

At some point, I realized what it was that was different. Maybe I haven't read a ton of Mafia books, but I didn't expect the shift. Regarding this book, I didn't want the shift. I wanted the status quo, whatever I thought of as the status quo, lol.

My feelings about both Antonio and Dahlia vacillated through the course of the book. My feelings about Dahlia's parents were steadfast. I did not like them at all.

Bottom line, I didn't get what I would have preferred, but it was kind of an interesting ending.

Wow! I absolutely loved this book. Amazing characters and wonderful plot. Very beautifully written and easy to read.

Dahlia King met a handsome guy at her debutante ball. Out of defiance and desire for freedom,she shared one unforgettable kiss with him. But when her father, Yacht King, caught them, Antonio Beretta’s life was unfairly thrown upside down.

Now, seven years later Antonio is finnaly getting his revenge. He will take everything from Benedict King, including his precious daughter. Dahlia is thrown into his revenge plan unfairly, but she isn’t afraid of Antonio, she still remembers him as the guy who gave her a taste of freedom. She wants to get out of this sham of a marriage, but Antonio plans to keep her, forever. I loved their chemistry and passion. They are made for each other.

Overall I loved this book very much. If you’re looking for a forced marriage, second chance, forced proximity romance then you’re going to love it.

Dahlia hates being at this event, her coming out celebration. Her father and mother trying to plan her future and hook her to some rich fool. She isn’t interested but you can’t say no to Babs and Benedict the “Yacht King.” Antonio saw the fire in her eyes. She may be spoiled but he can handle her. Fast forward 7yrs, time to pay the debt and more. You never say no to a Beretta. I have to say I love this story. These two temptation. I mean even when they first got together it was instant. Her parents were fools. But without that the deal would not have been struck. Antonio defiantly had a great deal of patience with Dahlia. Misunderstandings and heated nights made this fun. I am looking forward to this series.

Antonio Beretta has been anticipating his revenge against the so-called Yacht King, Benedict King, for instigating his imprisonment on false theft charges. He hadn't imagined that kissing the King's daughter would land him in prison. Now, he is the head of a mafia crime family and has Benedict King right where he wants him. He can now get his revenge on father and daughter. But is he really the one in charge of the narrative when it comes to Dahlia King?

Antonio and Dahlia light up the sheets and each other in this story. Kissing him was the only thing she had ever done just because she wanted to and now she had a second chance. Unfortunately, his grievances against her family might keep him from recognizing who she truly is. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Choppy and Tranquil Waters

Dahlia grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth, being told how to act, what to wear, and who to marry. Antonio is the polar opposite coming from the wrong side of the tracks. They meet when Dahlia is 15 years old at a very exclusive party her parents are hosting for her. She needed to take break from high society and her boyfriend who is being groomed to become a future president. Dahlia sees Antonio and decides to be bad. She takes a drag of his cigarette and proceeds to cough and cough. He drags her into a closet and kisses her like their lives depended on it. It’s her first real kiss and she wants more. They get caught by her father and this is where the story really takes off. There are a lot of unexpected events, twists and turns and lots of sexual tension. A definite must read.

Antonio has been wronged by Dahlia's father. Beaten up and sent to prison wronged. Now he's back for revenge and plans to take Dahlia as part of that revenge. It's her fault this whole thing happened and she must be a spoiled rich girl so he's going to make her and her father pay. He doesn't know that she has no idea what happened and she's living a life controlled by her parents.

His punishment for her includes spanking and orgasm denial. She's new to everything sexual and getting quite an education from him. He realizes she's an innocent and he wants to keep her forever but her father has other plans.

Lots of sexual tension, heat and some angst. This is a fairly short prequel to the series and I assume the old date (1964) is to set up the rest of the series. Antonio and Dahlia get their HEA so this is not a cliffhanger.

When she was 15 years old Dahlia kissed a boy, she never forgot that kiss but unbeknownst to her it changed the path his life would take due to her father's actions.

Plotting revenge his plans fall into place when Dahlia arrives at the altar to see not her Fiancee but Antonio who claims they will be married.

Not content to just claim Dahlia as his wife, Antonio takes over her father's business empire making it the ultimate revenge.

Dahlia is smart and resourceful and I loved the back-and-forth between these two as she tries to win their power play. Set in the mafia world the storyline mainly centers around Dahlia and Antonio, and while their chemistry is hot this quick read had some hilarious scenes too.

Would recommend downloading this quick read.
