⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Phoenix and Curt are finally getting their lives and that of their daughter's back on track after little Rose was kidnapped by traffickers. The couple is ready to move out of Pop Pop's place and into their own for their little family. That is until Curt catches the attention of a mentally psychotic woman who will do anything to make him hers.
The dedication this couple shows to each other and those in the family along with the new people they consider their family is amazing. From Curt's instinct to survive in the mountains to Phoenix's fight to the death with not one but two different types of killers makes this story one you will not want to put down.

Wow! This is a truly fantastic thriller because Jafe Danbury hits two very important elements. First, the reader CARES about the characters. Not only do we care about the tough, quirky, and endearing Martinsen family (they remain true to how we have gotten to know them in the first two books, but are evolving) and others in their protagonist circle, but we also find ourselves wrapped up in the compelling new antagonist. I’ll give a hint about this character while keeping in tune with one of the author’s recurring elements, musical references - Hall and Oates Maneater played over and over in my mind during her rampage! We learn about formative points in her life which elicits some brief moments of sympathy, but we’re soon smacked to our senses that this monster must be stopped.

So. Much. Food! This is a side point - the author’s penchant for food references rises to a new metaphoric level as the culinary choices of each character seem to express something about them. Keep the chips and guacamole nearby snacking while reading can’t be avoided!

So. Much. Faith! My second main point here is that in classic thriller plotting, our primary heroes, Curt and Phoenix, are put through the wringer and then wrung again. They’re challenged to the core about their faith in their own and each other’s physical and internal strength and resolve, and their future, but never waver. Moments of divine intervention, in part channeled through their little girl, appear at just the right moments and tone. This makes the characters even more real relatable as if they are just ordinary people stretched and suffering in extraordinary circumstances, and this sweeps you into the whirling dervish of their story in truly gripping fashion.

There is no thriller twist here. None is needed because it’s more about how much the protagonists can endure, and I find the honest story telling to be refreshing. Instead of an ending twist, there’s a highly satisfying ending link to the main character’s origins. Enough said. Read all three books and be amazed!

HAPPY PUBLICATION DAY!

I have read every book Jafe Danbury has written and So Much Forever (SMF) is my favorite so far. It is quite apparent he poured his heart and soul into this novel. This is the third installment in the Phoenix series. It can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading Leaving Phoenix and X first, both of which are excellent books as well.

In SMF, the Martinsen family is back and they are looking forward to spending a long Easter weekend together. Curt, however, exhausted from a long day of parent-teacher conferences, is invited to join his colleagues for a cocktail after work. Although the family has a special dinner planned that evening, Curt calls Phoenix to ask if she’s okay with him stopping for a quick drink first. Dinner is scheduled for 6:30 and Curt doesn’t show. In fact he’s still missing even the next morning. What could have happened?

In SMF, the author has developed characters who the reader cares deeply about. Phoenix, Curt, Rose and Pop Pop are members of a close-knit family that we all strive for in our lives. Why do bad things happen to good people? Who knows, but it only makes the Martinsens stronger and they will do whatever it takes to protect each other. This makes for a particularly good thriller and I raced through the pages.

Jafe Danbury does a great job of entertaining the reader along the way. His books are always filled with good music, great food, and a strong sense of humor. His work would make for exciting movies or tv shows as well. Highly, highly recommended!

This is the third book in the Phoenix series, by Jafe Danbury.
As expected, it doesn’t disappoint. It’s a fantastic story with tense, gritty, thrilling action, and an easy flow of events. There are many Arizona landmarks with descriptions that form vivid images in the reader’s mind.

Returning to the story are Phoenix, her husband Curt, daughter Rose, and Dad, Pop-pop, along with the menagerie of dogs!
This time, the family member in trouble is Curt, who is kidnapped by a deranged, psychopathic woman, who has set her sights on handsome Curt.
The action takes place mostly in the Superstition Mountains in Arizona, a rough and dangerous hiking area. The journey of Curt, and his insane abductor, includes injuries, multiple murders, and thrilling rescue attempts!

What I love most about this series are the real landmarks, restaurants and towns Mr Danbury references. As a Phoenix resident, I relate to these points of interest, and found myself smiling at these mentions! As a musician and music lover, Mr. Danbury also sprinkles in many well known musical pieces, and a special reference of 8675309, which had me laughing!

I’ve given this book a 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating for excellence! This could be read as a stand alone book, but I recommend reading both previous books in the series for even more enjoyment!
Thank you, Jafe Danbury.
I’m hoping for a book #4!

“So Much Forever,” is book three in the much beloved Phoenix Series. This is one of my all time favorite trilogies, and this one is an absolute gem!

Phoenix is one of my favorite characters to read about and I was over the moon that Jafe continued her story. I love her strength, gumption and how she will always fight for her family.
So Much Forever is a wonderful blend of suspense, terrifying moments, and twists. Honestly, I never know what to expect with a Jafe Danbury book, lol. He’s so brave and always dives into new territory. I can’t rave enough about how phenomenal this book is!

This novel picks up fourteen months after Curt and Phoenix rescued their daughter, Rose, from traffickers. The couple is now focused on Rose’s emotional well-being and reconnecting as a family during their spring break. However, as usual things aren't going to go smoothly for Phoenix and Curt. They find themselves in a dangerous situation that tests their resilience and love for each other.

Jafe’s writing shines in this book, particularly in his portrayal of Phoenix. Her strength and determination are unmistakable as she faces life-and-death scenarios to protect her family. As small as she is, she's a scrapper!!

Although this is the longest of Jafe's books, I totally got lost in this story and it kept me glued to the book from start to finish.

All-in-all, “So Much Forever” is a testament to Jafe’s talent for creating stories that are deeply moving and exhilarating.

Make sure to read this trilogy!!

So Much Forever is the third book in the series. This was the first book that I have read in the series, and I was able to follow the storyline without a problem.

Jafe Danbury delivers a powerful story with deeply human characters. I couldn’t put this book down and was constantly thinking the story was over, only to find out the craziness still wasn’t over. I did feel the ending was a bit abrupt. I wanted more!

BOOK REVIEW-Jafe Danbury delivers a pulse-pounding thriller that grips readers from the first page and doesn’t let go. The narrative picks up where previous turmoil left off for Phoenix Martinsen and her family, plunging them into new depths of danger and despair. What should have been a time of renewal during Easter Week and Spring Break is instead marred by a new, terrifying crisis involving a vengeful and unstable woman named Tempest Cage.

Tempest, whose very name evokes chaos, becomes an immediate threat when she fixes her obsessive gaze on Phoenix’s husband, Curt. Her actions set off a chain of events that includes Curt’s kidnapping and Phoenix's frantic quest to rescue him. Danbury masterfully builds suspense, drawing readers into a whirlwind of tension and urgency as Phoenix races against time to uncover Curt’s whereabouts and confront the dangers lurking around every corner.

Danbury's skillful world-building breathes life into every scene, from the familiar settings of Pop Pop’s home and Wiley’s Burger joint to the broader landscape of Arizona. His vivid descriptions and precise timeline ensure that readers feel fully immersed in the story, experiencing every twist and turn in real time.

The characters in "So Much Forever" are richly developed, with emotional depth that invites readers to connect deeply with their struggles and triumphs. Phoenix’s determination and vulnerability make her a compelling protagonist, while Tempest’s malevolence provides a chilling contrast. The emotional and psychological complexity of the characters enhances the narrative, making each interaction fraught with significance and driving the story forward with relentless momentum.

Adding another layer of engagement, Danbury’s integration of mood music enriches the story, offering insights into the characters’ inner lives and amplifying the emotional impact. This nuanced detail adds a unique dimension to the storytelling, further immersing readers in the characters' journeys.

Ultimately, "So Much Forever" is not just a book but a high-octane, exhilarating ride. With its tight plotting, compelling characters, and relentless suspense, it leaves readers breathless and eager for more. Danbury’s latest installment in The Phoenix Series proves to be an unforgettable journey, racing towards a climax that is as explosive as it is satisfying. Buckle up and prepare for a thrilling ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

A beautiful but disturbed woman breaks from a bad relationship and interjects herself into the life of a loving family that is still recovering from tragedy in “So Much Forever,” book three of Jafe Danbury’s The PHOENIX Series.

The story opens with Tempest Cage whose life is in a rut, going through a series of toxic relationships with uncaring men. She has a seven-year-old daughter Abby but has no idea who the father is. Although she often asks herself “Where are all the nice men,” her attention at the moment is on getting rid of the vile brute she lives with. Once she accomplishes this, Tempest by chance comes across the type of man she has longed for, Curt Martinsen, but he happens to be happily married to Phoenix and they also have a seven-year-old daughter. Regardless, Tempest launches a demented scheme to make Curt her own.

“So Much Forever” is a thriller that depicts how a husband and wife who nearly lost their daughter Rose the previous year to a kidnapping and pedophilia ring now face an insidious threat to their marriage. The relationship includes “Pop Pop,” the wife’s father whom they have been living with for years in a separate cottage. Everyone is frequently in the older man’s house enjoying each other’s company along with several rescue dogs in a family dynamic that revolves around Rose. Jafe Danbury portrays a family in crisis, writing in a way that makes the reader feel a palpable connection with the characters.

The story is mainly told through dialogue, a narrative method that is effective in showcasing the Martinsen’s family life by giving immediacy to the characters’ thoughts and emotions, bringing the reader up close to what is happening. But carrying a story through conversations has the potential to become tedious and even worse, become rife with cliches. While Danbury has a knack for keeping the reader engaged with his use of dialogue, trite constructions are plentiful. When describing how “Pop Pop” stacked chicken bones while eating, “it looked like something he’d built with his Lincoln Logs, back in the day.” But the author’s skill is unflagging and any cliches never impede the narrative flow.

The book frequently jumps from one scene to another and these shifts in time and place are marked with headings showing where and when the next scene takes place. These are distinctive from chapter breaks and although it may pose as a distraction, there is a reason for it. “So Much Forever” reads like a screenplay and without these headings, the jumps from one place to another would create a larger problem. Well-written starter sentences begin each section and forge a smooth transition to the new place. By constantly shifting the location within the narrative (sometimes back and forth to the same place), heavy use of dialogue is probably the only way the author could have told the story to avoid problems with pacing.

Jafe Danbury’s “So Much Forever” is a moving story of how the love that binds a family together triumphs over evil.

Our gem this evening comes to us from three time Dragon Feeder, Jafe Danbury. It came in the form of a driver’s license with the name, Tempest Cage on it. As I flipped it over it fell from my claws and out poured a tale that kept me on the edge of my seat.
This is the third in dear Mr. Danbury’s Phoenix series. This poor family seems to never be able to catch a break..first it was Phoenix’s biological father, then a Child Trafficking Ring, and now Ms. Tempest Cage.
I loved this tale! You all remember Phoenix, Curt, Pop Pop and Little Rose, I’m sure, so let me tell you a bit about Ms. Tempest. She is certainly not that most Shakespeare of tempests in a teapot, she is an unrelenting storm and she has her eye on Curt. She wants him all to herself and Abby, her little girl.
She’s beautiful, smart, savvy and psychotic. She’s been hurt by different men a hundred different ways, this time, it’s going to be different, this time, it’s going to her way, no matter what it takes or what it costs.

Mr. Danbury did something deliciously creepy with Tempest. He let us see her as a human. I felt sorry for her and Abby. I felt protective of them. And then he slowly pulls away the layers of a mask that scared me. Suddenly there was the monster that Phoenix must fight.

This is phenomenal and Jafe’s best Phoenix yet. These are not meant to be stand alone, but that’s ok, because reading ‘Leaving Phoenix’ is going to leave you wanting more.

If you want a thriller that has you cheering for the good gal, this is it! ‘So Much Forever’ is that rare tale that has you catching your breath and finding yourself saying the wow for days afterwards. You will never think of the phrase ‘no good deed goes unpunished’ quite the same way again. I know I won’t.

Curt, Phoenix, and Rose have been through more trauma and terrifying experiences than any one person should ever have to encounter. It has been fourteen long months since the rescue of Rose from traffickers, and as her parents, they have been doing everything they possibly can to make sure Rose is healing and growing up happy. On the last day before Easter break, Curt is feeling overworked and exhausted. This break could not come soon enough. While sitting in line, waiting for his drive thru order, he sees an equally frazzled woman behind him and decides to pay it forward and pay for her order as well. Unfortunately for Curt and Phoenix, this seemingly innocent gesture sets a horrific set of events in motion, leaving a trail of death and destruction in its wake.

Jafe Danbury continues to weave an impressive tale with his characters. As a reader, I feel like I know Phoenix and Curt - like they are two people who live in my neighborhood. His ability to write such realistic characters makes it so gut-wrenching to read the trials and tribulations they face in this book. So Much Forever is the third installment in the series, and while it is an intriguing read on its own, I would definitely recommend reading the other two books first. While I couldn’t stop reading this book, there were times when I was sure the story was wrapping up, but I still had multiple chapters to go! It could have ended two or three times, but there was always a loose end hanging there. Jafe Danbury knows how to keep a reader wanting “just one more chapter before bed.”

You know that feeling when a book grabs you from page one and refuses to let go? That was So Much Forever for me. I’m still reeling—in the best way.

This thriller is a wild, emotional rollercoaster that dives deep into a family’s worst nightmare: a stalker-turned-kidnapper who completely shatters their sense of safety. What sets this story apart is how it’s told. It unfolds in real-time, through multiple points of view, and that structure worked so well. I never found myself confused about where someone was or what they were thinking. In fact, that perspective shift made everything more intense and immersive.

The characters? Totally believable. The mom is working at the family business, dad’s a teacher, their daughter is in school, and they live with a sweet and caring Pop Pop. It felt like reading about people I could actually know—which made the tension hit even harder. And the villain? I had a bad feeling about them from the start. No spoilers, but let’s just say your instincts won’t let you down.

What really made this book unforgettable, though, was how every single chapter left me hanging. The timeline format means each section ends on a mini cliffhanger, so of course, I had to keep turning the pages. I kept saying “just one more”… and then suddenly it was 2 AM.

So Much Forever is hands-down the BEST indie book I’ve ever read. Honestly, it might be the best thriller I’ve ever read—period. If you’re into fast-paced, emotionally charged, can’t-look-away stories, this one’s for you. I’m already recommending it to everyone I know, and Jafe Danbury just landed a permanent spot on my must-read author list.

Note: This books is 3rd in a series. I have not read the previous 2 books, but I was able to read this one without any issue or confusion.

I can’t even begin to describe how much I loved this book and this book series. From the very first book of Leaving Phoenix, to the second book X, and lastly so much forever you become part of the family to the characters. To me it felt like coming home to longtime friends and memories of past escapades. I have the hardest time putting down any of Jafe Danbury books. You will never be disappointed if you buy one of his books. I cannot get enough of his writing. He has a way of pulling you in slowly In the beginning and then BAM you are off and running and can’t help but root for the amazing characters. The characters, their development along with the storyline is always magnificent. It’s so hard to choose a favorite character because they are all so amazing. Even the ones you hate you’ll also love to hate them. I cannot recommend this book series enough. Out of all the books in this series. I think I would have to say this is my favorite. But I think my absolute favorite is Phoenix nothing ever keeps her down. She may be tiny but she sure is mighty. If you haven’t read this book yet RUN out because this is a feature presentation you won’t want to miss. Until next time folks meep meep.

This is the third book in the *Phoenix* series, and while I absolutely adored Leaving Phoenix and X, So Much Forever truly takes the cake. It has all the elements I crave in a thriller—tension, twists, and deeply layered characters—plus some unexpected surprises that took the experience to another level.

Jafe’s ability to craft such a gripping narrative is incredible. I found myself laughing, gasping, and even cheering at various points. A few moments had me literally on the edge of my seat, completely immersed in the story. I had to remind myself to let out the breath I had been holding. 🤭

What sets So Much Forever apart for me is its darker tone, which I know many of you will appreciate. The story delves deeper into the shadows than the previous books, adding a rich layer of complexity to the series. Jafe's writing is as sharp as ever, drawing me in with every carefully chosen word. He’s a master storyteller who knows exactly how to ensnare his readers, making it nearly impossible to put the book down.

So Much Forever is an outstanding read that I didn’t want to end! Move this up on your TBR!!

Five incredibly high stars from me!

A famous author once described the secret to writing a great thriller - “When your character’s in trouble, you need to get him into even more trouble.” Well, the Martinsens are certainly having a run of deadly bad luck as the mayhem strikes their family again in Jafe Danbury’s third novel in the ‘Phoenix’ series. Thoroughly researched and highly descriptive, Jafe’s narrative flows smoothly throughout the book. His characters are totally believable and we always hope that the good in them will triumph over the evil in their protagonists. I’m a fast reader, which often leads to disappointment when I finish a book too quickly, usually in a day or two, but this chunky offering from Jafe kept me totally entertained for twice the usual time. You can read this novel as a stand-alone, since Jafe skilfully weaves the back-story into this third book in the ‘Phoenix’ series, but for full enjoyment, I recommend also catching up with his previous books, ‘Leaving Phoenix’ and ‘X’. A fantastic read from this rapidly emerging and maturing writer.

I loved this third book in the Phoenix series and I sincerely hope there will be more to come. It was full of action and suspense, and would make a fantastic movie or mini series. In my mind Anna Kendrick with red hair and Alexander Ludwig would be cast as Phoenix and Curt. I love also love that the dogs are named after the author's own real life dogs, and that he has a new rescue pup named Phoebe. I am so glad that I found this series through the recommendation of a FB group that I participate in. I have recommended it so many times to others that the author probably thinks I am Annie Wilkes. It is longer that the first 2 books in the series but I read it in less than 2 days. It was fast paced and did not drag at any point, so did not seem like it was a long read. I highly recommend this series to others who like fast paced crime stories with a bit of romance and humour. They should be read in order for the best experience.

So Much Forever, the third installment of the Phoenix series, is a gripping and emotionally charged read. Jafe Danbury masterfully combines psychological depth with intense suspense, keeping readers hooked from start to finish.

The story follows Curt and Phoenix Martinsen as they struggle to heal their family after their daughter's traumatic rescue. Danbury's portrayal of their journey is both heartbreaking and hopeful, with every twist heightening the tension. Phoenix's character shines as she fiercely battles to protect her loved ones, making her a standout heroine.

This novel is more than just a thriller; it's a powerful exploration of trauma and recovery, making it an unforgettable read. Danbury's sharp writing and compelling narrative make So Much Forever a must-read for fans and newcomers alike!

This book was a WILD ride! SO MUCH FOREVER is the incredible third book in Danbury’s PHOENIX Series, and in my opinion it’s his best yet. Packed with enough action and adventure for a lifetime - the story takes place over only 10 days - and what an intense 10 days they are! Murder, kidnapping, drugs, murder, trauma, (did I mention murder?)… Danbury leaves no dramatic stone unturned. I was captivated from the first chapter to the last and gasping in shock throughout. With this thriller, I think it’s safe to say that Jafe Danbury has arrived. I can’t imagine what he has for us next… because how would it top this? Recommended.

Jafe Danbury's So Much Forever provides a thrilling, emotional conclusion to the Phoenix series. Danbury’s attention to detail in depicting the aftermath of trauma is compelling, and the stakes are higher than ever as Phoenix faces new challenges. While the action and suspense keep readers engaged, the pacing slows down in some sections, making the ending feel a bit drawn out compared to its predecessors. Still, it’s a satisfying finale that wraps up the characters’ journeys with grace and emotional depth.

This is the 4th book I have read by Jafe Danbury, and he never disappoints. The 3rd book of the Phoenix series revisits old, familiar characters, as well as introducing some new ones, some benevolent and friendly, and one specific one, not so much. Besides another gripping and tense story, there are more than a few Easter Eggs! I don’t want to give away any spoilers here, so I do suggest you read this installment of Phoenix after the first two. This book, like all of Danbury’s books, kept me turning the pages, a quick and satisfying read. Hope these books keep coming “So Much Forever!” #smf

Great ending to this wonderful series!

I can't even fully put into words how much I loved this series. I'm sure that reading them all back to back added to that because I definitely found myself feeling for our characters every step of the way! Feeling so invested in their lives and what they were going through.

All 3 books have so much action that they definitely kept me wanting to read more! I would love to see more with these characters!

If I had to sum up how I feel about this series, I would say that I love it...smf.

I don't usually read "thrillers", I'm more of a history/sports buff. But once I started reading the Phoenix series, starting with Leaving Phoenix, I was hooked. Author Jafe Danbury gives the reader characters that are believable and pays incredible attention to detail. So Much Forever, like it's predecessor, X, tackles some difficult subject matter, yet Danbury writes with a deft touch and sensitivity. His storylines are quite creative, his sense of humor makes several appearances, and I highly recommend this book.

What a wild ride! Just when I was taking a breath, the action ramped right back up again. Book three of the Phoenix series continues the story of Phoenix Martinson and her family, who can't seem to catch a break and just live their happy life without some crazy out to get them. I love this series, and the author has a unique writing style and voice that makes his novels stand out from the pack of other indie writers. I do hope he starts his next book, whatever it may be, soon!

Oh, wow! Jafe had so many surprises in store in this third in the series. This book is very well written, just like all of Jafes books. The antagonist in this book is surprising and t first I liked them, but it didn’t take long for the tables to turn. You will definitely enjoy reading “So Much Forever”.

Can I breathe now?????

Danbury has once again provided an un-put-downable thrill ride of a book that had me holding by breath far more often than is probably healthy.
I'm slightly bummed, because I have been waiting for book 3 in this series all summer and I finished it in a day.....guess the clock is ticking again. No spoilers here - just read the series!

Jafe did it again. Book 3 in the Phoenix series was absolutely phenomenal. Jafe's writing style is smooth and flawless. So Much Forever is a thrilling and suspenseful book. When Phoenix and Curts family is tested once again, they find themselves stronger than ever. The character development throughout the series is amazing. You can't help but cheer them on and fall in love with them. I'm looking forward to more from Phoenix.

Here we have another Jafe Danbury book I couldn’t put down. This series just keeps getting better and better! It’s so fast paced and keeps you on the edge of your seat; it didn’t feel like it was a 500 page novel. I really hope there is eventually a fourth book - it’s definitely set up for one!

What a wonderful thrilling book 3 to the Phoenix series! Jade Danbury is fast becoming one of my favorite writers and look forward to whatever he writes next His characters are well written and are so real and down to earth And having lived in the Valley for many years his use of the area is spot on Can’t wait for the next installment of this awesome series
