The Duke Who Loved Me

A charming rags-to-riches, opposites-attract romance from USA Today bestselling author Jennifer Monroe.

Colin, the 9th Duke of Greystoke, leads the prestigious and powerful Remington family. With wealth and privilege at his command, Colin appears to lack nothing—except the one thing he truly desires: a woman who loves him for who he is, not for his title.

Anna Silverstone dreams of escaping her life of burlap dresses and hard labor. She clings to the hope that proving her noble lineage as the daughter of an earl will transform her future. With her brother ready to sell her into an unwanted marriage, Anna's chance at finding true love seems slim. But fate has other plans when she crosses paths with Colin. Not only is he a duke, but he might also be the man who can save her from a loveless fate.

As their attraction grows, Anna worries her unverified ancestry will drive them apart. Meanwhile, Colin fears his title will prevent him from winning the woman his heart truly desires.

The Duke Who Loved Me is the heartwarming first book in the sweet series, Those Regency Remingtons. This historical family saga, filled with recurring characters, promises numerous Happily Ever Afters.

The Baron Time Forgot

He awakens to a world he can’t remember. She’s broken from a past he created. Making him fall in love with her is how she will exact her revenge…

After being shunned by society for what her father deems as "unusually large," Miss Rose Follett fears no gentleman will look her way. That is until a handsome baron whom she secretly loves promises her the romance she desires. Yet as quickly as the romance begins, he discards her, crushing her heart forever.

Six years later, writing under the pseudonym Lady Honor, Rose uses her gossip column to slowly disparage Lord Westlake. Yet when a tragic accident befalls the roguish baron, Rose sees an even sweeter opportunity to exact her revenge.

Evan, Baron of Westlake, has always used his title and Remington bloodline to get whatever he desires. Blessed by privilege, Evan expands his coffers and leads naive women to his bed through blackmail and deceit. But when Lady Honor’s latest column sends him into a drunken rage, Evan wakes up lost in a world he doesn’t remember, nor the beautiful woman who comes to his aid.

Rose’s plan is simple—make the baron fall in love with her, so she can crush his heart just as he did hers. Yet playing his doting love interest has its challenges. Each sweet kiss and false memory she shares, a battle ensues between her old feelings and her desire for revenge. And Evan, frustrated with his inability to recall his life, struggles to love the only one he trusts—a woman he does not remember.

The Baron Time Forgot is a sweet, stand-alone romance with a closed-door bedroom scene.

Hero of My Heart

A scarred widow. A disgraced boxer. Can they seize their second chance at love?

Ten years ago, Miss Tabitha Carter was ready to marry her hero, Christopher Remington. To her dismay, her parents forced her into a violent marriage that shattered her dreams and broke her spirit. Now a scarred widow seeking to rebuild herself, Tabitha has learned that gambling debts accrued by her former husband have put her and her children’s lives at risk. She goes in search of Christopher for help, only to find the gentleman she loved has transformed into something far worse…

Christopher Remington withdrew from society after losing his estate and facing the ton's scorn. Losing Tabitha to another man only deepened his wounds. Now a hardened boxer, Christopher’s heart is as tough as the fists he uses to fend off challengers—both in and out of the ring. Yet when Tabitha reappears, pleading for help, he cannot resist the urge to protect her, despite the painful reminder of what they once had no longer exists.

As they join together once more, Tabitha and Christopher are haunted by glimpses of the happiness they once shared. Can they seize this second chance and reclaim the love they lost, or will the wounds of the past prove too deep to heal?

Hero of My Heart is a sweet and clean, standalone, second-chance Regency romance, the third book in Those Regency Remingtons. This story promises an adventure in love, with a heartfelt journey of redemption and healing.

The Duke who loved me 4 Stars
Anna Silverstone dreams of escaping her life of burlap dress and calloused fingers-brought about by hard labour at a workhouse. Though her father is rumoured to be an earl, her lineage has never been proven. With her brother Thomas wishing to sell her hand to any willing merchant, the prospect of love is beyond her reach. Colin, 9th Duke of Greystoke, heads England's wealthiest and most powerful family-the Remingtons. With all life's luxuries at his fingertips, Colin should want for nothing, but his heart yearns for the impossible - a woman who loves him for himself not for his title. When Anna crosses his path, Colin begins to wonder if she might be the woman he has dreamed of.
A well written romance of two people from very different backgrounds finding love but there are huge obstacles in their path not least are lying & conniving people who should know better. I really liked Anna & my heart bled for her at times, I also liked Colin but felt he should grow a pair & put his foot down. There were characters who were awful but they were meant to be utter snobs, I would have relegated Mary Ann to a far away estate years ago! There were some twists I didn't expect & I was really routing for Colin & Anna but the differences seemed insurmountable

After being shunned by society for what her father deems as “unusually large,” Miss Rose Follett fears no gentleman will look her way. That is until a handsome baron whom she secretly loves promises her the romance she desires. Yet as quick as the romance begins, he discards her, crushing her heart forever. Six years later and writing under the pseudonym Lady Honor, Rose uses her gossip column to slowly disparage Lord Westlake & the whole Remington family. Rose has taken the post of a maid in Westlake’s household to gain more information. Then a tragic accident befalls the roguish baron, Rose sees an even sweeter opportunity to exact her revenge. Evan, Baron of Westlake, uses not only his title but also his bloodline as a Remington to acquire all his heart desires. Evan uses this privilege—as well as blackmail and deceit—to expand his coffers and lead naive women to his bed. Yet when Lady Honor’s latest column sends him into a drunken rage, Evan wakes up lost in a world he does not remember. Rose’s plan is simple—make the baron fall in love with her so she can crush his heart just as he did hers all those years ago.
At the start of the book I loathed Evan who was a rake, in the true sense of the word, he was arrogant, selfish, deceitful just the kind of man everyone should give a wide berth to. I really wondered if he could be redeemed or even if I wanted him to be redeemed. However the more I read & his backstory was revealed I very gradually revised my opinion of him. I did like Rose but she was consumed with revenge & with low self esteem. I’m glad I continued to read as I found myself invested in not only Evan's transformation but also in Rose finding that she liked herself. I applaud the author for writing a different from the norm story & she pulled it off. I also was intrigued by the teaser for the next book & I hope it’s not long in coming

Hero of my Heart 4 Stars

Ten years ago, Miss Tabitha Carter was ready to marry her love and hero, Christopher Remington. But that dream was shattered when her parents forced her to marry another, Marcus Remington, a violent man. Now a scarred widow seeking to rebuild herself, Tabitha has learned that gambling debts have put her and her two children’s lives at risk. Seeking out Christopher for help, she finds the gentleman she once loved gone, replaced by a man consumed by rage. Christopher Remington withdrew from society after losing his estate and facing the scorn of the ton & is now a failed hero living his life as a boxer. When Tabitha reappears in his life and he learns that her family is danger, he is helpless against the urge to protect the woman who broke him. So he reluctantly returns to her home to protect her.
A well written emotional read & my heart bled for both Christopher & Tabitha who were torn apart by her money hungry parents, life hasn’t been easy for either of them. I really liked both Christopher & Tabitha, at the start he’s consumed by rage & she’s frightened of her own shadow. I loved how gradually together his rage subsides & she comes out of the shadow of Marcus, Tabitha finally stands up to her mother & gives Christopher the belief he needs. I was invested in their journey to a HEA which wasn’t easy but made for a compelling read
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

I love a good box set and this one didn’t disappoint. The Remingtons are a powerful and engaging family and I enjoyed Colin, Evan and Christopher’s stories.

The Duke Who Loved Me

The Remingtons are a powerful family, and Colin, the 9th Duke of Greystoke, seemingly has it all. However, he struggles with the weight of expectations tied to his title. His mother has chosen a bride for him—a beautiful woman, but one who lacks opinions and spark, leaving Colin feeling disconnected and not wanting to pursue the marriage.

He meets Anna Silverstone, a poor neighbor whose family has a troubled history with the Remingtons. Unlike others, Anna sees Colin as a man, not just a Duke, and this awakens his heart. Drawn to her honesty and warmth, he offers to help her prove her claim as the illegitimate child of an Earl.

Anna, though naïve, is endearing, kind-hearted, and deserving of a better life. Her brother, also an illegitimate child of the Earl, warns her that she may not get the outcome she desires, but Anna is determined to confront the Earl and seek answers for herself.

Colin was frustrating at times, he let his mother manipulate him. Colin’s internal struggle adds depth to the story. Torn between duty and desire, he faces a crossroads—should he please his manipulative mother or choose the happiness he finds with Anna? Her presence makes him feel alive and true to himself, but can he risk everything for her?

I thoroughly enjoyed this romance between two people from different classes, an unlikely pairing but one filled with hope. The authors portrayal of Colin and Anna’s relationship felt genuine, there were some unexpected plot twists, but I couldn’t help but root for them to overcome the obstacles in their way and find happiness together.

The Baron Time Forgot

*The Baron Time Forgot* is a unique and engaging story about revenge, change, and unexpected redemption. Lord Evan Westlake, Baron of Westlake, is one of the worst rakes—using his title and privilege to manipulate women, whether virgins, widows, or servants. He lies, exploits, and discards them without a second thought. His callous behavior extends to his friends and servants, leaving him with few people who truly care for him.

Rose Follett, on the other hand, has spent her life mocked for her weight. She falls for Evan’s charms at a ball, only to be used and discarded, leaving her heartbroken. Six years later, after losing weight and reinventing herself, Rose is determined to exact revenge on Evan by tarnishing his reputation by writing a story in the local gossip paper under the pseudonym Lady Honor. When Evan suffers a fall and loses his memory, Rose is presented with an opportunity to reshape him into a better person, all while plotting her revenge.

What makes this story so compelling is the transformation of both characters. Rose’s journey from hurt to healing, and Evan’s genuine evolution from a despicable rake to a man capable of love and kindness, are masterfully written. The emotional highs and lows of their relationship keep you on edge, wondering what will happen next.

The plot twists and character development are both unexpected and satisfying. Evan’s growth is believable and heart-wrenching, especially as Rose wrestles with her desire for revenge versus the possibility of a future with a changed Evan. Ultimately, *The Baron Time Forgot* is an original and emotionally charged story that shows how even the worst of people can change—love is a powerful incentive and that sometimes what was meant to be comes full circle, and happiness is finally realized after many life lessons.

Hero of My Heart

*Hero of My Heart* is a stunning testament to the power of love and resilience, proving once again that Jennifer Monroe is a master of her craft. This emotional rollercoaster of a novel centers on Tabitha Carter, a woman forced into a hellish marriage with the abusive Markus after her father is bribed by promises of wealth and connections. While Tabitha's heart once belonged to Christopher Remington, ten years and two children later, she’s a widow navigating life after Markus's death. Markus has stolen from some very disreputable people who want their money, she is fearing her safety and her children so she needs protection. Upon seeking out Christopher, she finds he is a changed man, and the story follows their journey through anguish, fear, and eventual healing.

One of the most compelling aspects of Monroe’s writing is her ability to delve into the complexities of human emotions. Christopher’s evolution as a character was both unexpected and mesmerizing. The twists in his journey, from the man Tabitha once loved to the person he becomes, keep you captivated and invested in their reunion. Their estrangement is heart-wrenching, and the road to their happy ending is long and fraught with pain, deception, and moments of pure heartbreak. But it is this very struggle that makes their ultimate reconnection all the more satisfying. Waite does an incredible job of bringing their emotional scars to life while showcasing their determination to reclaim the love they lost.

While I’ve enjoyed all of the Regency Remington series, this particular installment is by far my favorite. It’s a story of survival, redemption, and the undeniable strength of the human spirit, proving that if love is meant to be, it will find a way. Jennifer Monroe has outdone herself with this one. I highly recommend this series and this book should be on your must read list.

I am enjoying the Remington Family and look forward to more stories about this dynamic family! I received an ARC (advanced review copy) from the author for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Book 1 The Duke who loved me

Wow, just Wow! This is a very different story of classes mixing and I loved it. To see Colin come to see that he was more than just a title and to see Anna fight for her dreams is such a testimony of dedication and love. There truly is a twist in this story I did not see coming and it was very gratifying to read! I loved this story and I know you will too!

Book 2 The Baron time forgot.

Evan is a hard-hearted man, driven by words his father spoke. Rose has been ruined and wants revenge. I have to say, the author writes Evan so well, it is extremely difficult to like him. The conversation with his friends are a testament to his disdain for others. Watching both of them change is an adventure itself. The ups and downs are heart wrenching and the climax somewhat painful, but what comes from that is like butterflies coming out of their cocoon into a beautiful remake. Rose and Evan’s love leaps off the page, they just had to find it in themselves . I liked how the author dealt with Rose’s issues with her self-confidence. And Aaron is adorable…that was a bit of a surprise !

Book 3 Hero of my Heart
What an emotional ride for the H/h this is. Tabitha is torn from the love of her life by power hungry parents and lives in an abusive relationship for 10 years. I loved how she refused to be broken , regardless of what her husband did. This may trigger some, but all of the violence is off page or dealt with very kindly to the reader. Seeing Christopher deal with Tabitha’s loss is a lesson in letting grief take over your life and how patient love can bring you back from the abyss. This was riveting to read, and the bullies get their due in a very uncommon way that was a real shock-never saw it coming. Loved this book, love this author’s style of weaving a story.

This is a sweet historical romance. Colin is a Duke who is looking for a respite from his many responsibilities. Anna is a young lady who despite the poverty of her circumstances retains a positive outlook on life. These two meet by chance and it puts their dreams on a collision course. Each of the characters have to find their way through the family and personal issues that are holding them hostage. Finding their true self is the key to what makes them truly happy.

The story has multiple layers. There is the theme of revenge and love. Rose is a young girl who has been devastated by love and bent on revenge. Evan is a man who after living an unscrupulous life has lost his memory. The author weaves a story that shows how intentions don’t always work out the way they are envisioned. It is a story that brings out a lot of feelings about body image and how a person needs to love themself. Evan and Rose are able to save each other from heartache from being open and honest with each other.

This is a very sweet story. Christopher and Tabitha have been cruelly ripped apart for ten years when her parents forced her to marry someone else. During that time they both suffered terribly. Tabitha is physically and mentally abused by her husband but she never stops loving Christopher. Christopher becomes bankrupt and loses everything he had ever owned including the connections to his family. The plot of the story is wonderful and shows the resilience of the characters. Rediscovering their love takes strength and leads to great joy and happiness.

I was a little disappointed in this Box Set 1. For me the stories in all three books just went on way too long and were a little boring after awhile. I found where the scenes were repeated from the other persons view, they were almost identical. I have read several books by Jennifer Monroe and have enjoyed many of them .

I love booksets for many reasons. One the value, two I get to read my favorite authors over and over without waiting for their next book and three because if it's a series I can continue reading all of them at once. A wonderful series about a regency family that will bring joy and entertainment to you with every page.
