This Book is about respect. Respect is a very difficult concept to explain to children. Long before children understand what respect is, they need to learn some of the behaviors associated with it. Repetition is a wonderful way to teach this. It is the goal here through repetition to teach, review, and reinforce some of the behaviors of respect
I read this one in a small library called Pustakalana few days ago when I went to Bandung.
This book is meant for children of course, but there are several things I adore. First of all, it takes "respect" to whole different level. Do you think that respect is all about paying tribute or behave well to elderly? This book tells an idea that we could pay respect in everything we do in our daily activities. Take one example: tidy up our bedroom; it shows that we respect our mom (by helping her tidy up our own bedroom) and also respect things we use.
Well, it may be just a light reading but it gave me new insight. Let's show respect, and be the best us we can be ;)
This book is part of a Scholastic Book series, The Best Me I Can Be, that helps children learn positive behaviors and characteristics. They are written to be accessible to young readers. This book focuses on actions that demonstrate respect.
