A broken promise. An ill child. A heartbreaking betrayal. And a Christmas miracle that could save a life and a long-lost love…or risk them both.
The day that Shane came back into my life was the day that the sky flew open. His cocky attitude and overinflated ego haven’t changed since high school. Painfully, he’s also still as sexy as he was back then. The problem is, he has no idea the effect that he’s having on me. He’s the perfect distraction from what’s going on. Until he accidentally meets what’s going on behind the scenes. And then he inadvertently learns my secret. I never wanted him to find out that my life isn’t all sunshine and roses. It’s easier letting him think that. But when my life stands before him, right before Christmas, singing carols beautifully, there’s no denying his care and concern, as much as he tries to. And then he tries too much...and it all falls apart.

I have no interest in Amy beyond work, and that’s only because we’re forced to do projects together. It’s not like I can tell anyone what really happened. And with all this holiday merriment going on, it’s tough to keep a stiff upper lip. Amy and I were supposed to be together forever, until she broke my heart, but I got over it. That’s what I’ve been telling myself. Until I see my own eyes one day in a donut shop, and my whole life flashes before me. With two forces of nature working against me, I try my best to do what’s right, but I never know if I’ve chosen wrong, until it’s too late. And as I stare at the mistletoe wrapped above the hospital bed, I’m still unsure, until I hear a voice...and it isn’t Santa Claus...

Their love failed before; will it do any better this time?
Shane and Amy were once together when they were in high school. Her father hated him and urged her to dump him, which she did when he left for Oxford.
Now they have to work together on a project, but they can't get along and fight like cats and dogs.
He works for the Ford brothers, and a few years ago he became a billionaire. The first one in his family. But unlike the Ford brothers, he doesn't handle it as well as they do. He's found that since working for them, he's been excluded from a lot of family functions. His family expected him to be an engineer at the family's manufacturing company. When that didn't happen and then he became a billionaire, it could explain his family's withdrawal.
But after being drunk at the Ford company Christmas party and brandishing a gun, he'll probably no longer be invited to the company's social business functions either.
Amy met, fell in love with, and married Shawn after Shane left for school at Oxford. Only after her marriage did she learn that Shawn wanted a polygamist type of relationship. He continued dating after their marriage, so she divorced him. But since they have a son, also named Shawn, he'll remain in her life.
Her son was diagnosed with kidney problems as a baby. He's now nine and on experimental drugs that had been working until he started having growth spurts. His father has always promised to be his donor if a transplant became necessary. He and her father had convinced her not to put Shawn on the registry.
Now Shane and Amy are becoming an item again. He cares deeply for Shawn, and Shawn seems to like him, too. Amy notices that Shane follows through with things concerning Shawn more so than his own father does.
However, her father still hates Shane and is trying to interfere once more. Shane wonders if Amy will ever stand up to her father. But suddenly everything goes south for Shawn. Who'll step up to help him?

This is book four in Christmas With The Ford Brother’s series and it is Shane and Amy’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Shane and Amy have history because they used to be so in love with each other only for it to all fall apart leaving heartbreak and complete disaster in it’s wake but now Amy is back and Shane’s life had just become even more complicated than ever because not only do they work together but also their constant arguments and bickering between them is starting to effect their lives and jobs. Shane had always loved Amy but her father completely ruled her life and told her what to do and she always did what he wanted and that is what caused Shane and Amy to break up years ago and her father still continues to control her life. Amy is now a single mom to her son Shawn who has a big health issue and it had changed his life but he still stays so positive and because he is Amy’s world she would do anything for him regardless of what it is or the consequences involved. When Shane and Amy start spending time together they realise that their love is still as strong and it has stood the test of time but just when things were going really well Amy’s father once again butted in to her life which caused problems once again between Shane and Amy and then something happened to Shawn that put everybody’s life in to perspective and it was Shane that stepped forward with no regard for his own life as long as Amy’s son Shawn lived because Shane loved them both so much. Wow I absolutely loved this book with all it’s heartache, emotions, surprises, hope, suspense, betrayal, great characters, friendship, love, a Christmas Miracle and situations that will have you turning the pages and unable to put this book down and I can’t wait to read the next book in this amazing and addictive series.
Shane and Amy have history. The kind of history that makes it hard to work together now. Almost impossible. All they can seem to do is yell at each other, which makes for a hostile work environment for everyone. Amy's life outside of work is no picnic either. Juggling responsibilities is the name of the game. When Shane sees her in the coffee shop one morning, he gets a glimpse into her life, and it shakes him. He can't get it out of his mind, and it makes him see her a little differently. But when they get to work, they just start arguing again. Then the heated argument turns into a heated something else. Amy gets called from work, and Shane takes it upon himself to help her. He wants to be there for her. Old feelings start to resurface, along with memories of why they broke up so many years ago. So much has changed, but some things are still standing in their way. Can they work through their issues this time? Or are they destined to walk the same path that led to heartbreak in the first place? This was a really good second chance story. They had a lot of issues to work through, complicated by history and overbearing family members. But there were also friends who were able to talk some sense into them. Great characters, and a story that really drew me in. This series has been quite engaging, and I can't wait for the next one.

Shane has charm, suspense, and is definitely a page turning holiday romance. SHANE had me on the edge of my seat with wanting to know what was going to happen next. I adored getting to know Amy and Shane as the main characters of this book. I loved being able to see their story unfolding throughout the book. Author Sandra Alex has done another fantastic job with creating this fabulous holiday romance. The characters are well developed and beautifully executed throughout the story. In my opinion, Sandra Alex pours her all into the books she writes for her audience’s enjoyment. I would most certainly recommend this book for anyone who is looking for a fun holiday romance book to read. I can’t wait to see what will be next for this author in the future.

Shane is Book 4 of Christmas with the Ford Brothers. This is a steamy, OTT, frenemies-to-lovers, second-chance, single mom gets her first love Christmas romance. Shane and Amy were high school sweethearts until Amy broke it off due to her meddling father, who hated Shane. Now, she is divorced with a sick (but adorable) son Shawn. As she and Shane end up working together, sparks fly, even as they continue to fight. Of course, her dad is still an interfering jerk, too. But when Shawn has a crisis and Shane steps up, perhaps love and some Christmas magic is all they really need. This was a great, heart warming, Christmas read with hot chemistry and a happy ending for our couple after all the drama.

I am so happy this author created this additional series. We get more glimpses into the Ford Brothers as well as get to know their expanding inner circle. The best part, each story revolves around the holiday season. This book focuses on Shane, he is an engineer that works with Chad and Dalton Ford. Amy is a piece of Shane's past and their current co-existance in the same workplace is clashing terribly. I enjoyed reading this book, it pulls you into it's world and provides that much needed break/escape from the additional craziness around the holidays. As always, I cannot wait for more. Enjoy!.

Shane is a fairly short read with an interesting storyline that is emotional and satisfying. Shane is selfless, Amy is a attentive mom but naive and lets her Daddy & Ex manipulate her, and Shawn is the innocent child who's inner strength is admirable when facing significant hurdles. This is a holiday themed second chance romance that leads to a HEA for Amy, Shawn and Shane before the small cliffhanger into Book 5. Happy reading!

Shane and Amy had been very much in love, but her controlling father made sure she would not find happiness with him and made her break up with him. Years later, when Shane and Amy ended up working together in the same place for the Fords, the constant bickering didn’t look promising for a hoped-for reunion. When he learns her secrets, however, everything will change. Will her father again try to step in and rule her life? Or will a Christmas miracle bring them back together?
Sandra gives us a beautiful story of a young love that was torn apart and a second chance to try again as accomplished adults. She also gives us a heartwarming story of a single mother trying to make it with a sick son in need of lots of medical care. Amy goes through so much for her son, but Shane steps in to try to ease the burden even though outside sources are again trying to pull them apart. Sandra tells the story so well that you won't want to put it down and she centers it around Christmas, the time for miracles. A great read.
Shane and Amy get their own happy ending, after a lot of time. Their reunion doesn’t seem promising, but they get over all the obstacles. And Amy learn to trust Shane - with her heart, and more, with her child. An interesting story that kept me glued to it. And the last chapter made me even more curious for the next story.

They were high school sweethearts until her father came between them. When she marries a man that turns out not to be the faithful type because of his lifestyle it opens the door for her and Shane to rekindle their past but when her father starts his antics again will Amy give into it and dump Shane again. This heartfelt story had me in Shane and Amy's corner.

More in the Ford family story. This time it's a friend and it's nearly Christmas. Enjoyed another of Sandra's stories and look forward to her next book.
