This spicy novella followed by the trope of forbidden professor/student romance turned out to be way better than I thought it would be.

Theoretically, I should have like this but Asher was a real ass. I guess his character traits were supposed to play into the degradation kink but he was just plain mean 💔 No redemption arc but I maybe a novella is too short for any real character development.

I thought the obvious power imbalance was already sufficient foundation for the degradation kink without the need for public classroom shaming. Or maybe I just needed him to be more lovey-dovey after. Like, ruin me but….be nice about it

It's not as good as her other stuff - but it's still better than most authors put out.

Ava (22, accounting student, not a virgin) has to retake a class since the professor failed her last semester. She promises that she'll do anything to pass this time around. Asher (32-ish) is very willing to have his new pet bend to his will..... especially since he's been stalking her since the first time she took his class.

Oral stuff happens, "I'll never love you", sex on dildos, "oh my goodness, you've been stalking me", "I won't let you go", sex in the hole, "I don't want kids", marry me, HEA.

I wasn't thrilled with the way sex played out. She was basically comatose during the entire thing.

I'd still say read it.

3.5! I thought the first few chapters were promising in terms of strong and taboo chemistry between H+h, but I didn't think the way the plot developed made sense.

It was hero blackmailing the heroine, but it turns into a booty call situation where the heroine is hoping for it to turn into something more, while the hero has commitment issues. I don't think the novella length helped with this plot issue. The third act separation was due to the heroine discovering the hero was a stalker whose machinations behind-the-scenes led to her being in a situation to be blackmailed in the first place.

I was in the mood for something like this, but unfortunately this didn't work out.

Ava is such a pushover, and Asher was too much of a prick; actually, he's an ass for the entirety of this novella. It was all about him and what he wants, and she was more than happy to accept all of his whims. He made it look like all of it was for her pleasure, but the way I see it, she wasn't really on board with some of the stuff at first and only realized she liked it afterwards. Idk, it wasn't exactly noncon, but it sure felt that way because she's desperate to pass his class. She also has the hots for him, so she goes along with whatever he wants and never uses her safe word. Disappointing but not really surprising.

Anyway, I didn't like it. I was actually bored, and that's probably saying something since this is just a short story.

☆2.5 A little less degradation, a little more action.

This was just ok, not my favorite though. There are some entertainingly depraved moments, as I’ve come to expect from this author. But given that it is a student-professor trope, I was hoping for something a little more fun? It was pretty dry. The H annoyed me with how he treated the h most of the time, especially considering that he failed her out of his class on purpose and has been stalking her for a while. It just comes off as petulant. Also, if not accounting, what is she into? I wanted more of a path for her that wasn’t just about him.

Okay this series is delicious. This novella is light on the stalking and heavy on the degradation and humiliation. If you add in some age gap and professor/student power dynamics you have yourself a powerhouse of a novella.
I truly don’t know how B.Sobajakken fits so much into so few pages. Can’t wait for more depravity.

It was okay. I was hoping for a little more excitement because it's a forbidden trope after all.
It's not the biggest deal, but there were some mistakes in writing. At the beginning of the book, he has dirty blonde hair and by the end he has dark brown hair. It is mentioned a couple of times that she has brown eyes and then in one chapter it says she has blue eyes and literally a minute later he is telling her how he fell for her brown eyes😂🙄

Quickie Review: When I tell you I inhaled this story, I wasn’t lying. I was so excited when it went live that I quickly snatched it up. It was everything dirty and forbidden. And this author definitely knows how do write both dirty and forbidden. Especially when it comes to this amazing series. Each book is phenomenally written and absolutely delicious. I am usually not a big fan of degradation but this was so well written and showed so much romance, I was definitely happy in the end. 5 Stars.

Okay this one was fun!!! Not only was this hot, but the forbidden, a$$hole but wholly obsessed MMC vibes were on point! I like a good stalker romance, and a FMC that makes him work for it when she finds out-and he sure had my heart by then end!

Ava and Asher are full of smutty goodness and lots of chemistry-this was a quick, easy read-I read in one sitting. I enjoyed the writing, the characters had a decent amount of depth for a novella. I liked seeing the changes in both of them as they realized what they liked and wanted. When they finally opened up to each other….so good.

Was having a heck of a time figuring out what I wanted to read. I figured might as well bring July in with a smutty good time. This book is very smutty and I’m the type of girl who needs some plot and some depth to the characters even if it’s just a little bit. I pushed through and after halfway it shifts and has more feeling between the two characters. Asher isn’t my favorite MMC but he did grow on me a bit. What can I say I love a stalker 😉 I didn’t like the name he called her but it did go well with the story. If you want a steamy novella about a professor and his student definitely give this one a read.
