ANTOINETTE
Axel Fontaine has a giant…
At least that’s what everyone says. Unfortunately, it’s true.
All. Of. It.
He’s dangerous, scary, and addictive. Without a doubt, the last person I should fall for is the VP of the Disciples MC.
I’m out of my league.
He’s a six-foot-four, blue-eyed biker god.
I’m an ex-ballerina turned stripper who should run away.
But how do you escape the one man who ignites your body and consumes your very soul?
Axel doesn’t do relationships. But I’m betting on ME to change his mind.

AXEL
I don’t do relationships. I don’t do drama, and I definitely don’t do love.
I’m not Prince Charming. I’m the VP of the Disciples and the club is my family.
The last thing I need is a violet-eyed enchantress who smells like candy and has some sort of voodoo chemistry that’s messing with my mind.
She needs to go.
She’s a distraction…a weakness I can’t have.
Men like me fall in lust, not love.
So, why is she still here?

***4,5 STARS***

Ignite= To cause to catch fire; arouse or inflame. That is exactly what this book did. The pages were fire as I read it.....burning hot.

Antoinette is a down on her luck dancer in Hollywood. Her roommates have abandoned her, she is facing eviction and flat broke so she decides to give stripping a try. Axel is one of the owners of the strip club and is overseeing “stripper tryouts” when he sees this beautiful woman come in and audition to Flashdance. He is smitten immediately and knows that he must have her in his bed.

I freaking loved Axel. Flawed and far from perfect he still oozed possessive alphaness. Accustomed to getting his way, especially with women, he is shocked when Antoinette doesn’t fall all over him. But when they do....holy moly the scenes are blazing hot. The chemistry between these two is sizzling.

This book is raw and shows a realistic view of an MC club. So beware....not for the faint of heart. Although this book is part of a series this was the first book I read and I didn’t have any problems following along. It just made me more anxious to read the other books.

Just like a child on Christmas morning is how I feel when I find a new author and Cassandra Robbins has become an automatic purchase now.

I highly recommend this book!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

5 everything about this stars!

First, how the hell have I not read this author before? Clearly I have been hiding under a fucking rock, because shit this woman can write a great MC book.

This is the 4th book in the series (and don’t tell anyone but I totally skipped the first 3 because I need to read this after I read the description and found it is 2 of my favorite troupes….

Bikers and Age Gap!! So delicious. No, this is not a daddy complex book, it just happens to be two people with 14 years difference who become obsessed with each other at first sight.

Antoinette (Cookie) is an incredible dancer - she was set to be the next prima ballerina when tragedy struck and she lost everything. Now she is in LA, trying to come up with enough money to pay rent because her bitch of a friend screwed her over. She sees a flyer for strippers needed and thinks at this point she has no choice.

Guys, I don’t want to ruin it, but she may or may not have used Flashdance for her audition dance!!

Axel sadly is stuck doing stripper auditions because his club buddies can’t be around. Since he is part owner he can’t refuse. But he is definitely not happy until…. The last dancer comes on, he is dumb struck. It helps that he is stoned out of his mind. But he can’t take his eyes off of her the whole time and needs to have her, now.. But there is no way in hell he is letting her strip at his club.

“I want to keep her, mold her…. Corrupt her.”

But guys, don’t worry…. She is stubborn, fights him at every turn and it gets fun from there. This is all in the first 3 chapters!

“Kiss me. You can hate me tomorrow.”

Cookie is young (only 19), but she is my favorite kind of young heroine. One where you forget how young she is because she acts like a mature adult. I’m happy to say that I don’t thing there was any action in this book that she took that I wouldn’t have. She never acted like a spoiled brat, or an immature one at that.

“She’s no longer her….. She’s part of me.”

Axel on the other hand, boy does he have a thick skull. He has it in his head that he will never, not ever settle down. He has absolutely no interest in a relationship, and the drama that comes with one. So while he wants to bang the shit out of this little ballerina right away, she won't make it that easy for him. She does a brilliant job shutting him down and proving that she is either full of drama or crazy.

(Note there is a part in this book that will probably piss a lot of you ladies off, but its in the beginning and its a fucking biker book so be prepared and don’t let you panties get all twisted ladies).

He figures it out and he never really lets Cookie go once he stakes a claim, but he definitely battles with his feelings on that. He is completely over-possessive, over-protective, over-bossy and over-bearing…

“Give yourself time, baby. You’ll be amazed at how fast you can hate me.” - Axel

This book did not disappoint. It was a perfect mix of everything. It had just enough club business and club drama. The pacing of the book was perfect. I was literally hooked from page 1 and now I have another book hangover because I was up too late since I couldn’t put the damn book down. These books are killing me more than my Truly obsession lately!

And last but definitely not least.. We need to talk about the SEX….. OMG….. THE SEX…. Hold on…. I need a minute…. Okay…. The sex was amazing, this is why before I die I need to meet just one biker who lives up to all my future biker husband dreams. A real biker. Please lord tell me that somewhere in the world there are actual bikers who look like these men. Like real 1 percenters!!

"There are kisses and then there are life-altering moments. This kiss feels as though it will change my life forever."

What can I say? One single evening, few hours of nonstop reading and I was completely and irrevocably lost to that handsome asshole with tattoos…
If you thought the previous books of the series took you for a ride, then prepare for Ignite to bring you to your knees. It was like reading a fairytale… a really dirty fairytale, sexy, steamy…did I mention dirty? Packed with sizzling chemistry, snappy dialogue, lots of action….and enough push and pull to have any reader panting for more.
Fate has most definitely dealt Antoinette shitty hands to play in her game of life…penniless and alone, she’s forced to make difficult decisions in order to survive. Finding a job that will provide a place to live and food is her only dream, and seeing the leaflet a sign… And it doesn’t really matter that her body will be exposed to all those lustful eyes, a roof over her head and food on the table are worth it. She’s ready to do everything to obtain that little bit of security after all those harsh years. She’s ready for everything, but not for that hot-as-sin jerk who captures her with those sapphire eyes…the one who takes her off the stage before she had even started… the one who pushes her, only to pull her closer…the one who claims her, without asking…the one who occupies all her day and nights, every sigh and though…the one who is her everything…the one… But what is she to him? A sexy fling or the one that will brand him for a lifetime?
I really don’t believe that Cassandra can write a bad book!!! Hell, I’m sure!!!I’ve read all her books and still she continues to amaze me and blow me away with every new world she creates. And every single one digs its claws into me and doesn’t let go, long after I’ve finished the last chapter.
Just like the other books in the series, Ignite is unbelievably steamy and gritty. It’s perfectly paced and so well written that forced me to turn the pages desperately wanting to find out what happens next. It probably has some of the most well developed characters I’ve read recently. Axel and Antoinette- the ark hero and the broken princess, feisty and stubborn – a perfect combination, like ice and fire wanting to consume each other. She manages to shake him to the core, awakening feelings and needs he didn’t even know he had. She manages to bring down this cold hearted and strong VP to his knees and believe me it was more than enjoyable watching that. Yes, I say watching, because this master storyteller manages to write words that become alive as you read. And the steamy scenes do every justice to the name- they literally ignite every page.
Definitely a story that will wrap you in its feels from beginning to end, enjoying every single minute. One of my most favorite reads of 2020. A MUST READ for every romance lover.

Safety: For many it is not safe, the hero treats sex like smoking a cigarette, any woman will do. I'm fine if the hero has sex with the OW, even if he already knows the heroine, but he hasn't had sex with her. In this book, all his adventures with other women touched even me, it was not beautiful. After the hero takes the heroine's virginity, he and she are only with each other. If you remove the beginning, then for me this book would be 5 stars. I really liked the combination of depravity and innocence.

I can’t anymore. This might be an awesome story/series for some, but it is far from my idea of ‘a romance story’.

There is absolutely no romance involved in these stories. We have obsession over the hero’s sapphire eyes, his super XL cock (this is talked about in every paragraph), then we have random motorcycle chics dropping to their knees to give guys blow jobs in front of everyone around…. The hero of this book gets a random BJ by two girls as he is getting ready to judge wanna-be strippers applying for a stripper job…. We have heroes getting wasted drunk on a regular basis and their magic cure-all for a hangover? Just do a line or two of coke….

Just not the type of romance story I normally like to root for. Despite all of this, I did give this book a chance as the storyline had great potential to be interesting. But just as soon as there might be conflict, the author opts to switch over to a porn scene instead. Every single time. And not even hot steamy scenes. Just caveman dirty talk, no feelings or emotions involved or described. Just icky motions of mechanical porn.

So I’m just not the right audience for this series I guess.

"Ignite" is the fourth book of "The Disciples" series by the best-selling author Cassandra Robbins. Told in dual perspectives , get ready to finally meet Axel and Antoinette!!

From the moment I read about Axel in the first book of this series , I knew I would love him even more. He was truly the most ruthless and one of the most coldest ones of the Disciples. His story was going to be the perfect read for me and this author sure did not disappoint!! The way the story is framed and The characters , made me love it so much more! The book was everything I wanted and so much more than what I expected!

Axel is the VP of the disciples. One by one he saw his friends becoming immune to women and losing themselves in a single woman. Making fun of their whipped state was something he enjoyed a lot. He never thought something like that would happen to him. That is until he met the new girl who came to audition at his Stripper club. Now it was his turn to be at the receiving end of the joke.

Antoinette had her whole life snatched away in a single night. Now she has no money and is about to be homeless too. Stripping is one of the best occupations to her because she is already trained to be a dancer. What she didn't expect was to get one of the most hottest and jerk of a boss. Axel is everything she wants and everything she should stay away from. He pushes her away only to pull her even more harder.

But things are not that easy for them. With Axel's issues and Antoinette's secrets and her ghosts , it is certain that they need to overcome a lot before giving in to each other. It was really very enjoyable for me to see Axel falling for a woman! He had always been the cold and callous one and now seeing him after a woman was just something so unexpected and enjoyable for me and all the other characters!!! If you are a fan of Biker Romance , then make sure to read this whole series because it is an unforgettable one! All the characters are perfect and I really hope that we get more from this world. A definite recommendation to all the dark Romance lovers out there who would love themes like MC Romance , Second chances and suspense!

"Somehow, in all of this craziness, I’ve fallen in love with him."

Absolutely loved the story of Axel and Antoinette ❤️ I think they are my favorite in the series. Their chemistry was 🔥🔥

Tropes: Age gap (14yrs)
MC falls for ballerina.

Antoinette was very strong in the beginning, a lonely, down on her luck ballerina dancer, who didn't have anyone to rely on, and was in need of money. Until she sees an ad for a dancer at a strip club, and meets the owner, Axel.

Axel becomes so mesmerized by her, and wouldn't allow her to strip, because he couldn't stand anyone looking at her. Their chemistry from the beginning until the end was so good. He became her protector, her lover, and somehow along the way, he realizes his true feelings for her.

The only bad thing was that I felt she lost some of her strength in the beginning when she became with Axel. But, her softness tamed him. Axel was a womanizer before Antoinette, he never settled, but she won his heart.

"Wait....” She reaches for my face with both hands and looks into my eyes. “You didn’t feel it?” ....“I felt it. I touched your soul, and now it’s mine.”❤

"She’s in my blood—I crave her...Sometimes I love her so much it hurts when I look at her. She’s my everything, my life, my reason.."

Ignite is without a doubt Cassandra Robbins' hottest, sexiest, most entertaining book yet!

Whew! Lawd help me I don't even smoke and I feel like I need a cigarette after this one!

Ignite is an age-gap, MC with a grumpy biker and a down on her luck dancer. I fell in love with Axel and Antoinette right from the start. These two had a chemistry that turned the pages to ashes. The sex scenes alone are some of the hottest I've read in a long time but the presence of a great storyline completed the perfection that was Ignite. This book read like the smoothest whiskey - fun, sensuous, spicy, strong, and full of spirit. Axel was uncomplicated. He lived a life of freedom, loyalty, and brotherhood. Antoinette was the perfect complement to his simplistic lifestyle. She was confident while remaining humble. Shy yet strong as steel when the need arose. Innocent, yet passionate. These two have become my new favorite couple. Sorry Poet!

The only thing wrong with this book is that it ended! I could live in this world forever and never tire of visiting with these characters! This is in my top 3 of the best books of 2020!

Cassandra Robbins dropped this nuclear bomb called Ignite and when it exploded, it annihilated me. It was steamy, dangerous, dramatic and swoony perfection. This unputdownable series has just become way more hotter, more intense and more brilliant.

Axel Fontaine, VP of the Disciples MC series doesn't believe in love or monogamy or any kind of emotional attachment. His only loyalty and devotion is to his club and his brothers. Then Antoinette, the ballerina from street walked into their strip club for audition. And his whole world is turned upside down. And he doesn't know how to handle it.

This series is one of those magnificent ones those keep getting better, not boring, with every new story. I am just more thirsty for new stories. Axel is the grumpy, serious, brooding and cold ahole among the brothers. But the strongest fall the hardest. Antoinette is perfect for his dark heart with her bright light. She has a hard life and she is struggling just to survive. And fate landed her on Axel's path. She is scared, hesitant, confused and doubtful when Axel takes her under his protection after literally throwing her out of the club. She has been warned enough but the heart wants what it wants. And I loved to watch her transformation from this sweet, naive and innocent girl to this sassy sexy vixen. Her heart still holds undiluted compassion and never ending love, even for someone dark and broken like Axel. But now she challenges him and demands the love she deserves.

And damn I loved to watch Axel stumbling around this maze called love. He is totally cluless and in denial about his feelings for Antoinette. He doesn't feel emotions have any place in his heart. So obviously he does stupid things. Push away the girl. Hurt her. And then go crazy himself. He will go caveman level of possessive and protective in one hand. And on the other hand try to diminish this soul deep connection. You will want to slap some senses in him. And Antoinette burrowed under his skin and thawed his frozen heart and that was goregous.
Lets talk about the chemistry! Wow. It was the steamiest, filthiest and dirtiest with some next level kinky dirty talk. Just what fits Axel. He is the monster, the devil, the dangerous..but he is also insanely in love with a simple girl. OH MY FREAKING HEART. Also the bromance and girl gang power are epic in this story. That ending was the grandest of grand gestures.

Ignite by Cassandra Robbins was an all consuming MC romance. The heartaching and beautiful emotions filled my heart and soul. It was sinful and explosive. It was an example of phenomenal writing from Cassandra Robbins.

Absolutely OBSESSED with this story! Cassandra NAILED Axel & Antoinette's story. It was everything I've been waiting for.

FULL REVIEW:

Oh Axel...

There are stories that you wait patiently for.

This is the book that every Disciples fan has been waiting for. Probably more anticipated than Repent...

This book drug me in and still hasn't let me go.

And I've read it TWICE.

The story telling in this one is truly amazing. As I was reading, I felt like I as watching a play or a movie unfold right in front of me. It was fast paced, full of rich description, and so beautifully written. The story that's been woven will make you laugh, melt your Kindle, and make your heart pound. I had a smile on my face from the first sentence on the first page, and it stayed there until I finished reading. It's addictive in the way that you'll want to reread it again and again until it's imprinted on your soul.

Axel has intrigued me since I met him in Lethal. I knew his story would be special, and Cassandra Robbins delivered it beautifully. Antoinette is strong, delicate, beautiful, and just perfect for the grumpy biker. She is EXACTLY what he needs.

The story is hot. And I mean HOT. To the point where it quite literally almost Ignited my Kindle. When the author says this is her filthiest Disciple yet? That's not a joke. Axel is all kinds of delicious and all kinds of dirty.

I cannot recommend this story enough! This is a must read and one of my top reads of 2020!

Get ready... Axel is coming.

Mitchell “Axel” Fontaine is the VP of The Disciples MC. He doesn’t do relationships but when a sexy ballerina named Antoinette Van Doran aka Cookie/Candy, walks into open auditions at the clubs strip club...well, all bets are off! Can Antoinette tame the untamable? Will Axel be able to find out who she really is and not fall head first into that scary word..LOVE? She maybe innocent but he is ready to ruin her in the best possible way! Are you ready for a wild and dirty biker romance? These two sizzle off the pages and I loved every minute of their connection. Antoinette is sweet yet strong and Axel well, it’s Axel! Enough Said 😉. The side characters and other disciples men are superb and just add to the story. The perfect mix of sweet and sexy. Don’t worry though there is still plenty of action as it is a MC. Told in dual POV

Dnf'ing this. The book starts off with a scene where the hero gets sucked off by one of the staff at the strip club. I didn't really mind it at first since this was before he met the heroine (but did we really need a full on detailed scene about that?). But when he does meet the heroine, he wanted to fuck her but she stops him from what they were doing and he literally yells at her and asks what was wrong with her. I mean, wtf? Not only that, but he leaves her and calls another woman to fuck with so he can "relax" and take the stress off. Pretty much dnf'ing this because of the hero.

Man oh man! I was so sad to see this one end.... but it legit has one of the swnooniest endings ever! Anytime I read a series, although I may love all the books... there is always a clear favorite couple for me. Not this time! I thought it was going to be Edge and Dolly.... but Axle and Antoinette give them a run for their money! While Edge & Dolly has been written in the stars since they were kids, Axle and Antoinette are the ones who's paths should never had crossed. The most UNLIKELY of couples and yet they are so freaking perfect together! Their hotness is off the charts! And can I just say that I love how all the Disciple women are?!? They are fiercely loyal to each other, just as they are to their men. I really want them all to be my best friends! This is most definitely a top read of the year for me.... I think I may have to read Repent and then Ignite again... back to back so I can try to pick a favorite.... but I probably still won't be able to!

🎧AUDIO REVIEW🎧

Narrated by Sarah Puckett & Troy Duran

They definitely brought Antoinette & Axel to life! After having read all of them, and now been listening to them.... I really feel like Axel was the MOST STUBBORN about his feelings, but then was so freaking swoony about how he FINALLY handles them! I am so glad that these are on audio so I have the chance to revisit my favorite MC!

Been dying for the next book in one of my top favourite MC series, written by an author who has such a way with words I'd read a shopping list from. From the other books in the series one can only imagine what kind of drama is going to occur within the magical pages, because if it's not between main characters it's with the club. Andre sums it up well: “I don’t know why people always want to underestimate us,” he says, deadpan. “But, we need their stupidity to keep us on our toes.”... Let the fun begin..,

I'm not sure if it's because I fell in love (& claimed) Poet & Charlie in book 2, but since them, at least one of the main characters (or both) have irked me in the following books. It's like they had to work extra hard to try reach the bar Poet and Charlie set. And it's not a bad thing, it shows how talented this author truly is.

Let me tell you right now, if I hadn't of wanted to bang some many heads together it would of been  a close call. Especially with that amazing epilogue.

Some loose ends get tied up in this book that makes me want to go binge read all books by this author yet again.

Thoroughly reccomend, no matter what you're in the mood for as this book has it all.

Just to be very clear, I love The Disciples. I love their intensity, their loyalty, their specific brand of danger, but most of all, I love their sense of family. Each member brings something unique to the dynamic and with our grumpy VP Axel, we get his protection and loyalty, his sense of honor when it comes to the club and his brothers.

And now, those things extend toward a lone ballerina too. Antoinette is everything Axel didn’t know he needed or wanted, and when she comes in looking to audition for a new job, neither one of them were prepared for the events that followed.

I absolutely loved Antoinette. She brings a sense of innocence to Axel’s life, her lighthearted nature something that calls out to him. You know how the grumpy one always falls for the sunshine one? That’s what happens here and Cassandra Robbins delivers it in the best way.

Axel and Antoinette’s story will bring you joy and happiness, plenty of emotion, and good lord the STEAM! Our VP knows how to make his little ballerina happy, that’s for sure.

I hope this series never ends, I’ll never be ready to say goodbye to this club. Cassandra Robbins always leaves me wanting more and I’ll ride with this club until the very last word.

Ya'll I'm obsessed... like 150% HOOKED on The Disciples Series... Seriously, the Disciples are my crack and Cassandra Robbins is my dealer... I simply cannot get enough! Each book continues to get better and better, each one quickly becomes my new favorite.. and GAH!! Axel & Antoinette THESE TWO were EVERYTHING!!!

"There are kisses and then there are life-altering moments. This kiss feels as though it will change my life forever."

Axel does not believe in love or monogamy for that matter; he sees his MC brothers settling down & starting families and he knows that's just not for him. His MC comes first... that is until a shy ballerina graces the stage at The Pussycat & his world is flipped upside down! Antoinette is drowning in her own life.. haunted by ghosts of her past and struggling to secure her future.. she never expected Axel and the huge family that comes with him. But when these two come together...WOWZA!! A & A struggle with their feelings, to allow themselves to be vulnerable & embrace their one of kind connection; to trust it and each other. Seriously, these two had me all in my feels! ( & shouting at my kindle because hello stubborn!) Throw in the girl gang that is the "Old Ladies" of the MC and the brotherhood and their "interventions" that needed to happen and Ya'll trust me when I say you won't be able to put Ignite down! 🖤

The Disciples are a family, a bond of brothers and sisters brought together out of dark and sometimes disturbing situations. They value loyalty above all else and Axel has been the protector and gauge of that loyalty through the first three books In Cassandra’s Disciples series.

We’ve known Axel to be an ornery, steadfast, no nonsense VP of this MC. A point of laughs because the things that have come out of his mouth have been so bold and dry, you couldn’t help but giggle. Or at least I couldn’t.

IGNITE will leave you astounded by the depth of feeling, love, lust, and range of emotions you’ll experience. I laughed, I soared, I hungered, I swooned and in the end; I wanted to get back on the ride and do it all over again.

Antoinette brings a lightness and heartfelt romanticism to Axel’s story that I could never have imagined. IGNITE lives up to its name; hello it’s a Cassandra Robbins story, she brings the heat to any story. But IGNITE is so much more than just a hot MC romance novel. It’s the living, breathing story of a grumpy bad boy finding his one true love. And how that love can make that bad boy become only the best version of himself.

Cassandra has embodied the reason we all flock to these romance stories in the pages of IGNITE. The power of love, loyalty, family and finding the best version of yourself in the process.

Always Axel.

Ignite is a hard story for me to rate. On the one hand, the story, action, steam, and writing was really good. Most of my Goodreads friends raved about this book and the rest in the series. But I HATED both characters.

description

Axel was a total dick and not in a good way in my opinion. I understand he is in a MC and there's a certain way of life for members but guess I wasn't prepared for that level of asshole sluttiness. Even when he finally realizes what Antoinette means to him (which by the way was like, what...90% in?), I was left questioning if later he'd find a younger and hotter version of her to f*ck. Their relationship felt all sexual and lacked that emotional investment.

Antoinette...GIRL...

description

This girl was so freaking whiny and self conscious. Even when Axel treated her like a trash panda, she still had stars in her eyes believing that ONE DAY he would love her like she loves him. And sure they got their HEA but she would probably lick sh*t off the ground if he told her he'd love her if she did it. I can't stand heroines that lack that self preservation and self respect gene.

As I said, my thoughts on this book are personal preferences because putting those aside, the plot, action and suspense, and steam in here was on point. I just couldn't get past Antoinette the door mat and Axel the asshole.

Wow! Another fantastic story in this series, I simply love these characters and the storyline is jam packed with excitement, action, passion and romance.

Mitchell Axel Fontaine, or Axel as he’s known, is the Vice President of the Disciples MC and he isn’t a relationship man, as he freely states. Antoinette is an ex-ballerina who now dances to a very different tune, she is into relationships though. These two are like chalk and cheese but what’s that old saying? Opposites attract-these two lead characters certainly are total opposites!

I have always been intrigued by Axel and it is great to get to know him better, he definitely is a player but he’s honest about it at least. Actually, he says he always tells the truth and it’s true, he is very honest even when he takes a good, long look at himself. Thank goodness he does have this quality as there were a couple of times I wanted to shake him vigorously (to be polite 🤣).
Antoinette is really so vulnerable yet her inner strength shines through and given her traumatic past she is a survivor. I loved when she straightened her back and lifted her head up to face whatever, rather than shying away.

The intimacy between these two is so hot it is practically at boiling point twenty-four seven, while yes it can be ‘down and dirty’ but in a good way, it is much more, going much deeper as well.

The mystery of just who is out to get the club bubbles away in the background making things very interesting then literally ‘on the edge of your seat’ exciting. There’s a good sprinkling of humour throughout the story too that brings a smile to your face-you have to love Doug and his antics.

A sensational book in a wonderfully powerful series that is more than entertaining.

Cassandra Robbins has SLAYED with Axel and his pretty ballerina!!

Out of all the Disciples heroines, Axel's ballerina is my favourite! I love the descriptions used every time she's afraid, or angry. Instead of withdrawing inside herself and hiding, her spine snaps straight and her chin goes up and out. She's complained about as being snobby, or standoffish, but no one really sees the little girl inside, still afraid of letting anyone close for fear of having them yanked away again. Her beauty is incomparable, but I don't think beyond the initial introduction, that's what keeps Axel coming back. It's the spark, his ballerina's fire, that even when she doesn't know what's coming next, she ALWAYS gives as good as she gets.

Axel is not just a Disciple, he's the Vice President. He's acted like an a$$hole every time his brothers have found their Old Ladies, almost seeing it as a weakness for his brothers to fall, not seeing it for what it is, an imperceptible strength brought by women who shore up their men in ways no one thought possible. Seeing Eve, Charlie, and Dolly so happy to see this tiny, slip of a girl immediately made me giggle, that they knew what was coming for Axel before he did.

Not that there's not blood, danger, excitement and action from the very first page, but the softness I did not expect in this book, has made it my favourite among the Disciples.

Axel is dangerous, he IS absolutely Dominant when it comes to his girl, but her steel wrapped in softness in acquiescing to his desires, Axel's softness in almost every interaction, even if he starts out angry and rough, was what sent Ignite over the top for me.

5 STUNNING stars for Cassandra Robbins Ignite, I hope this is not the last we will see of her Disciples!

5 Freaking Stars!

I read this book and had to give myself a day to write this review. I didn't have the words to do it justice and I still dont think I do. But I will try.

Ignite was totally worth the wait. It was so much more then I was expecting!!

The Disciples was the very first MC series I've ever read... to say I love this series would be a understatement. The characters in this book are so much more then a motorcycle gang. They prove that you don't need to be blood to be a family. They will steal your soul and refuse to give it back.

Each member is different but they all are big on loyalty. The women in there lives are no different. They fight for their men just as hard as the men fight for them. The dynamic of this group is something fierce and hands down one of my favorite group of characters.

In the first three books of this series Axel was a closed book. You didn't get much from him. Ill be honest I wasnt too sure about him. But then Cassandra goes and writes his book and I see this different side to him that shows that there's more to him then you know. Axel has stolen my heart and I dont want it back.

Now lets talk about the lady in this book. Antoinette....the girl pulled at my heart strings. She's so different from the other ladies. You will quickly love her. She's a closed book as well and doesn't let her demons out.

Ignite brought all the stops. It has everything you want. Drama, angst, laughter and of course all those steamy scenes. Axel the boy has one dirty mouth..(.fans myself).

The first book I ever read from Cassandra was Lethal and I was hooked after. Ignite is definitely in my top 5 of 2020 reads and will forever be in my all time favorite books section!!! I need more of from these boys.....I need Ryder!

Omg, this book is amazing. Axel and Antoinette are as different as night and day. She is a ballet dancer and he is a member of the notorious Disciples. These two meet when "Cookie" decides to apply for a stripper job and Axel just happens to own the bar where she's auditioning. Normally he doesn't hire the strippers but today he's going to. He takes one look at Antoinette and decides she's not stripper material. She's beautiful but lacks a few qualities that most strippers have.
Antoinette or "Cookie" her stripper name will not take no for an answer, she's determined she can do this job. Axel's not in the mood for this today but agrees to talk with her and give her another chance to dance for him, and dance for him she did. She really showed him she can do the job but he's still not sure, somethings not right. Cookie gets her chance on stage and just about the time she's to take everything off, Axel and a buddy go on stage and pull her off.
This book is wonderful. I love Axel. To find out the rest of the story you have to red the book.

This was my favourite book of this series - this author definitely has a way with words.

From the first meeting between 'wannabe' stripper Antoinette Cookie Candy Van Doren and Axel Fontaine, I was rooting for her to get her chance to be with this hardened biker, who never looked for love or relationships. He thought he was happy with his life, didn't think anything was missing - until he was seeing Cookie - he couldn't get enough of her, he was addicted; she fell in love, that was a no-no, according to some of the girls - but she blurted it out, one night, and things shifted between the two. Now she is at a loss as to what to do, and Axel isn't making things any easier - he's fighting his feelings, and getting nowhere.

I have been waiting for Axel's book for what seems like FOREVER and I'm just so happy with how this book turned out!

Axel has always been such a complete ASSHOLE to everyone his entire life. Even though he is an asshole, he's a loyal one!

Never thinking he's the type to settle down like the rest of the guys...he finally gets his world turned upside down when Antoinette Auditions at the Disciple's strip club.

Antoinette has just had alot go on in her life and she finally finds her place at Axels side.

I absolutely loved these 2 together. There were so many ups and downs and sometimes i just wanted to scream at Axel to get his head out of his ass and open his eyes! It all works out in the end and I'm so happy!

Cassandra knows how to write some sex. HOLY SHIT does this book have some steamy scenes. i love it!

And that ending!!! it was everythingggggggg!

I loved this book so much! It was worth the wait!
"Ecstasy and agony. Both ignite the fire, both are intertwined, and tonight I need her flame."

Axel was everything you expect a biker to be, mean, broody, and a total my way or the highway. He ends up overseeing the Pussycat since Edge and Dolly are on their honeymoon and Derrick the club managers is having a surgery. This also happens to be the same time that the strip club is having auditions. Frustrated and annoyed he gets there and has very little patience. All the girls go on the stage and do there number. Crystal (someone he can't stand) says there's another one but she doesn't know how it will go. The DJ starts the playing Manic and a girl in leg warmers hits the stage.

Antoinette had it all, her family was wealthily, she was a prima ballerina, and gotten to into the school in New York. Then one day it was gone and her parents were dead. She moves to California with an Aunt until the day she turned 18. She moves in with girls she believes are her friend and works at a waitressing job taking free dancing class from a family friend. Her roommates leave so she needs to make money and fast if she plans to stay in her current apartment. She see an ad at the dancer studio for adult dancers and thinks hey I could do this.

This story has suspense and keeps you glued turning page after page wanting to know whats next.

She looks like an angel. Instead, she might just be the antichrist, a siren sent to seduce then kill me.

description

Ignite is the fourth book in The Disciples MC series featuring the outlaw MC/biker romance of Axel Fontaine (the VP of the Disciples) and Antoinette (Cookie) Van Doren. The desperate need for money is what brings ex-ballerina Antoinette to Axel’s club auditioning to be a stripper. She needs the job he refuses to give her and will do whatever it takes to prove she can do it. Axel doesn’t do relationships or monogamy, yet he can’t keep his thoughts or hands off the beautiful siren. She knows he’s bad for her heart, yet she can’t seem to resist his dominating tone or his powerful body. He should let her go, he will only break her heart when he grows tired of her. So why does he feel like letting her go would be the biggest mistake of his life?

There are kisses and then there are life-altering moments. This kiss feels as though it will change my life forever.

My obsession with the Disciples started with the first book, Blade & Eve setting the tone for what would become my favorite outlaw MC series ever. Since then, I’ve been rather impatient for Axel’s story....waiting to see what kind of heroine it would take to tame the seemingly untamable heartless beast. From the very start of this book, I was rooting hard for this couple and also obsessing over how hot these two were together. I knew I would love Axel’s installment, but I had no idea that it would end up being my favorite of the series and that these two would take the crown as my top couple too.

“I do know what love is, and it wouldn’t matter if I was twenty or thirty-three.” She sneers the thirty-three. “I love you, and not even you can take that from me.” I snort. “Give yourself time, baby. You’ll be amazed at how fast you can hate me.”

Book Facts:
Told in:?Dual POV, all present day.
Type? The fourth installment in a series of interconnected standalones. It can be read on its own, but would be better enjoyed if read after the previous three books.
Triggers: N/A.
Ends in: HEA ending for couple.

The Main Players:
Axel Fontaine:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
He’s dangerous in so many ways. On the one hand, it’s making me crave him; on the other, I could easily give him my heart. This should scare me. Instead it makes me want him more.

Antoinette: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2
She means way more than I want to say. And I also know I have no intention of letting her go. She’s mine and only mine.

What I liked:
❤️With the exception of David (Poet), I’ve LOVED all the antiheroes that call the Disciples family.....however Axel had the slight advantage over the others and I’m not entirely sure why.....
description
It could’ve been the fact that he didn’t play games with her or how possessive and protective he is of her......or just seeing this big powerful scary dude who had never in his life been monogamous act like a total obsessed madman over one woman (and how it made for some funny scenes).....
I bet she tastes as good as she smells. I lean closer and inhale. Yeah, I like the way she smells— “Axel! What the hell are you doing? Are you smelling her?” Crystal’s annoying voice slaps me out of my drugged-up fog. Jesus Christ, I’m high as a kite.
....all I know is that he cemented himself as top dog in this series which is a huge feat considering how much I loved both Blade & Edge.

❤️Dolly had been my favorite until her own story, at which point she joined Charlie on the list of heroines that really disappointed me....I was certain by this point no one could beat Eve until Antoinette came storming in to prove me wrong. My favorite thing about her was her ability to make me laugh...... whether it was in the moments where her innocence made itself known....
“I was coming in to tell you that I’m leav—Oh my God, you are huge.” Her breathy voice makes me grow harder. “Sweetheart, I’m only human. Stop looking at him.” “Oh dear,” she moans slightly.
description
....or her cluelessness & endearing naivety when it came to pretty much everything related to the club paired with her jealousy.....
“Okay. First, Axel should have told you the truth. MJ stands for Mary Jane.” She nods at me and again it sounds even worse having her full name. “Where is she?” My eyes fill with tears.
description
.....she made it so easy to laugh in a way that I didn’t find with the others as much. But what really put her on a pedestal of her own was just how honest and open she was when it came to how she felt and what she wanted....
“You want to tell me what’s going on with you? I know you think I’m a mind reader, but sometimes even I need you to speak.” “Would it make a difference to you? Because I would, Axel. I would tell you everything.”
description
.....her willingness to do whatever she could if only for the chance to be loved and cherished by this man that didn’t even know how to love. I ADORED her.

❤️One thing all four installments had in common was how explosive the sex scenes were......these two were off the freaking charts from their very first steamy interaction.....
“Antoinette.” His voice is possessive and deep. “Yeah?” Mine sounds breathy, but in my defense I can barely breathe. He’s too close. I’m too close… “I’m not someone you should look at like that. Unless you’re ready for me to rip those strings off your body and fuck you on the desk,” he grunts as his fingers in one quick jerk free my breasts.
description
....I mean Axel was already hot in his support role, but pair him with his “Cookie” and she brought EVERYTHING out of him....
She moans my name again, this time at a higher pitch. Reaching down, she laces her fingers through my hair, her hips moving to the rhythm of my tongue. “Shh, I haven’t had my breakfast yet,” I mumble as I suck then roughly jerk her pussy deep into my mouth and eat her until she screams.
description
.....it’s fact that Cassandra can write her ass off when it comes to steamy sex scenes.

❤️The reason I love interconnected series like this one is because we don’t have to say goodbye to couples after their books, we get to see them in the future installments. I loved getting to dive back into the Disciples world, especially getting to see my favorite Dewey (seriously who doesn’t love him?) as well as the previous couples....but the highlight had to be little heartbreaker James Dean.....
“That’s Dewey. Come on, baby. Mommy needs to talk to Antoinette.” She grabs ahold of his hand and he instantly pulls away and starts playing again. “No way. Uncle Axel says when the music talks, you need to listen.” His small hand keeps strumming and the whole room is vibrating.
description
.....I know he’s a kid, but I can’t be the only one hoping that eventually we will get a Disciples next gen series right?

❤️Something I didn’t take for granted was how she concentrated on their connection/chemistry more than a side plot or any sort of drama. The drama was so perfectly done and was just enough to bring some outside excitement and danger without overtaking the story. It was one of the many reasons this was able to beat the others as my fave installment.

❤️And last but not least, the way she set the ending up made it very clear where she was going next....while I may be sad that it appears she’s done with the Disciples (I could be wrong here), I am pretty pumped up to jump into Rhys and his guys world.

The Verdict:
description
Ignite may have only been my fourth read by Cassandra but it gave me all the reasons I needed to make her an author to watch. I loved the entire series, but there was just something about Axel & Antoinette that made their story the best of the series for me. I’m not sure if she’s done with the Disciples or if she plans to revisit them in the future, but I do know that I’m ready to dive back in head first anytime she wants to take us back. If you are an MC romance fan, Ignite (and the entire series) is a must read for you....heck even if you aren’t, I think these bad boys could make you a fan rather quickly.

Sometimes I love her so much it hurts when I look at her. She’s my everything, my life, my reason to get up, my favorite thing in the whole world.

Oh hell yes. Ignite (The Disciples #4) is Cassandra Robbins at her best. Axel and Antoinette are just as hot as Blade and Eve from book one. This is definitely my second favorite in the series and I know I’ll be re-reading it. After Lethal (The Disciples #1), I couldn’t have been more excited to read everything Robbins. That book was the tits (as in, everything I want in a book). But, I gotta admit, I’m not really into second chance romances, so Atone and Repent just didn’t give me the same uber satisfaction I got from Lethal, and I was left feeling like they were good reads but not the magic of their predecessor. Ignite was exactly what I wanted out of the Disciples series.

When we meet Axel, he is rude, dangerous, and cocky as the VP of the club. Totally anti-love and a basic motorcycle man ho. He’s got a certain presence throughout the series that makes you like him despite what an ass he can be. When we meet him in Ignite, he’s moonlighting as manager of the Pussycat strip club and he’s none to happy about it. Enter Antoinette as one of the newest tryouts. When he sees “Cookie” perform, it’s instalust at it’s finest.

Antoinette is a ballet dancer in dire straits. She’s decided to try stripping to get the money to survive another day. For some reason, I love heroines who have tragic pasts and keep on trucking despite their desperate circumstances. Antoinette is also a virgin who’s not good with people. She’s a unique character who has some grit mixed in her sophistication and innocence. She’s not having a moral crisis about stripping. She just wants to survive and she’s determined to make that money. Just like Axel, I fell for her right away.

Ignite is fast paced and full of action. It takes place in the present (yay- I hate flashbacks) and it’s written in dual POV. Sometimes when I read MC books I skim through the club drama to get to the good stuff, but I didn’t do that here. All of the action has a purpose, and the purpose isn’t to demonstrate that we are dealing with badass MCs.

I loved the way Axel comes to terms with *gasp* falling for a girl, but it felt like an authentic process. I loved that Axel didn’t have a terrible, horrible back story and pretty much admitted he was a serial dick because that’s who he always wanted to be. Just like Blade in Lethal, even when Axel was intentionally keeping Antoinette guessing, his admiration for her always shined through.

Antoinette was a great heroine. The girl had been through a lot, she had a lot to lose, and still she was brave when making herself vulnerable to Axel. I’m a big fan of a straight shooting heroine and I loved her authenticity. She’s scared and she has every right to be. I mean, Axel is a jerk. But she’s honest about her feelings and I loved that.

Finally, this book is HOT. Axel and Antoinette have great chemistry and the sex is steamy, risqué, and plentiful. Robbins knows how to write a good sex scene, and she does this in spades throughout Ignite. Can I get an amen?

I received an ARC for this honest review.

A Biker & A Rocker…Can’t Get Any Better!!

Axel is all that and more from being VP of the Disciples MC to leaving a rock band to fulfil his desire to become the biker. There is so much more than can be said about his “attributes” as well that will leave your mouth watering plus we can add in the bad boy biker who doesn’t do just one woman. He isn’t going to get tied down like his brothers have.

Antoinette is a dancer, a ballerina, to be exact. She gave that all up with what happened to her parents and her world changed forever. Now she was in Axel’s club, The Pussycat, trying to land a job there because she is about to become homeless. There’s one little problem though and that’s Axel, himself. No matter how much of a dancer’s body Antoinette has he does not want her hired at his club. The draw he has to her is too much and he will not let go of his wandering ways for any woman no matter what.

Oh, believe me that changes once Axel goes to Antoinette’s rescue as she’s being thrown out of her apartment and he lets her stay with him temporally. Antoinette’s secrets are heartbreaking but Axel doesn’t have it in him to really care about her struggles…or does he? Even when her life is threatened will Axel become her hero as well?

The steam is immense between these two but will the heart feel the same way. So if you love your bad boy bikers hawt and all alpha you definitely want to pick this book up.
