In Garrett W. Vance's "Ceaseless, The River Runs," a young couple battles ruthless pirates as they embark on a perilous journey from Asia to Grantville. But with the help of their friends, they may just make it out alive.

Meanwhile, in "Trudi's Trenchers" by Gorg Huff, a young woman moves to Grantville and almost accidentally starts her own food business. And in "Mail From Up-Time, Episode 2: Atlantic Giant" by George Grant, the impacts from lost up-time mail continue ripple out from Grantville.

But that's not all. Stilettos" by Bethanne Kim is a classic tale of misunderstanding. Is a stiletto a shoe, or a knife? And in "Summer's Kitchen" by Marc Tyrrell, eleven-year-old Sandy and his stepmother Summer team up to create a new business, changing the culinary landscape in the United States of Europe and beyond.

Good stories in this issue. I do want Garrett Vance to put his Japanese Samurai stories into one volume at some point in the future. Not just Kindle book but one that is also in print. This issues story is a really good one as are the rest except Trudi's Trenchers which is less story than background backstory on a character is in other works. Bethanne Kim failed to get inside Trudi's head which was disappointing. The rest of the stories are fun and funny and make enjoyable reading. This issue is recommended.

An enjoyable anthology of stories set in the 1632 universe. All of the stories were engaging, and added further depth to the world that Flint created.

Fine collection.

Funny cooking show with a moral is a nice moment. I'm looking forward to the next collection. Always nice to have another member of the Barbie consortium.

Another chapter in one story loop and more filler of background for another. A new short tale with some old characters and another nice story based on mail from the Ring of Fire day now being delivered and the effect.
