The fighting continues. Po and the rest of 131st Battalion are assigned to Nibiru to try to stop Pinnacle. They've already killed To'Sheth Rin but when one person goes, another is there to replace him. And it's always one problem after the other when it comes to these bad guys. Then the group is shipped off to Venus. Thought that was a neat idea. At least, until cop-bots started taking things too far and someone bombed the ship Magnolia with many marines on board. That is such a demoralizing thing to happen to the group. But wait. There's more. And you'll enjoy reading it all for yourself. This was a great read as Scott Bartlett has done another wonderful job of bringing these characters to life. Thank you, Scott. Looking forward to the next book in this series

The story of Po Abbato continues with a promotion to lead a squad of men. The action continues unabated taking the soldiers to Venus and its wealthy inhabitants. The squad is forced to battle bots for the lives of Venusians. The action begins with a few misbehaving robots and ending with floating cities crashing down on the surface of Venus. Like the previous book the action is extremely well written. I recommend it to all readers who enjoy sci-fi.

Irresistible force meets an immovable object....sort of

I'm not sure how to review this one. You will get why, when you get to the end. Po is onwards and upwards in his Rifleman career. He is proving to be a good corps man and good at what he does, without the help of an alien in his mind. Don’t go to the end, it will ruin your experience. Sometimes good battles, new friends, new enemies. Just like real life for a marine in Afghanistan.

Corporal punishment?

The continual storyline from Po Abbatto unfolds from place to place to see that the human race is fractured, unruly but needing a purpose to continue. Are the aliens working with them or against them in nurturing humanity? Some questions have been answered but more have been asked. Cannot wait for the next one to see the outcome for Po and the rest of the Marines.

Another worthy addition to this series of books ,gripping story line, with the usual action against a seemingly growing number of enemies, defeat one another appears, still it keeps Po and his buddies occupied so it means more books in the series and more reading to do ,i suppose some good comes of it. Needless to say I enjoyed it and recommend it highly, buy and enjoy.

Nibiru was tough for Po but there were successes enough to get Po commended and raised in rank.
Yet, when Venus proved to have become a rebellious problem, Po found himself once again en route, this time to Venus, it's floating cities and "sentient robots serving human kind"
However, Po discovered something severely amiss with some of these bots. There is some aberrant behaviour that causes these bots to attack humans.
Why?
That question would lead Po on a trail that would expose probably the biggest threat ever in surviving.
Author Scott Bartlett with "Corporal" once again teases the senses and leads the reader on a hair raising venture where human life is once again at risk. Very much so.
Enjoy.

Another fast paced book in this excellent series where Po and colleagues encounter challenge after challenge without much chance to breath. As always, the characters are so well described and the descriptions of the locations and battles are very vivid. Despite the torture he endured at the end of this story, no doubt Po and his marines will be back in the thick of things in the next book.

Good Read

Po and his Marine brothers face upcoming brutal battles to seek various foes to neutralize the threats. It’s brutal work and difficult loosing brothers-in-law battle. The battles increase, and the death toll rises. Still they are hunting for the source of the attacks that are draining resources.

Another captivating read in the series. The author keeps developing his universe and characters within it. The story shifts to another part of his universe and creates new plot lines. I enjoyed the book very much and look forward to the next one in the series.
