After three years spent mourning the death of her partner in a tragic climbing accident, Danica Warren has re-emerged in the public eye. With a best-selling memoir, a blockbuster movie about her heroic efforts to save three other climbers, and a successful career on the motivational speaking circuit, Danica has convinced herself that her life can be full without love.

When Chase Crosley walks into Danica's field of vision everything changes. Danica is suddenly faced with questions she's never pondered.

Is there really one love that transcends all concepts of space and time? One great love that joins two hearts so that they beat as one? One moment of recognition when twin flames join and burn together?

Will Danica and Chase be able to overcome the barriers standing between them and find forever? And can that love be sustained, even in the face of cruel circumstances and fate?

I didn’t think Lynn Ames could write characters I would love as much as Dara and Rebecca, and boy did she ever prove me wrong. I so enjoyed watching Danica and Chase come together and work through their overwhelming feelings. Danica doesn’t understand how she can already feel so much more for Chase than she ever did for Sandy in their 18 years together, and her grief at being able to save everyone in her climbing party except for Sandy is an ever present backpack of rocks. Chase takes an immediate break from her workaholic ways to spend time with Danica just to see if what between them is real, which is so unlike her that it leaves her friends and coworkers shocked. They’re beautiful together and I loved seeing them get to know each other, building a solid foundation beyond their immediate attraction.

I loved this book...I enjoyed the dynamic of losing a lover and eventually gaining another...I did not find it predictable as most lesbian novels are....Overcoming barriers....regaining love.....after so much.....I highly recommend it...

Well, I loved it - a real brutal book on emotion, but worth the journey. Not a surprise - love all of her books. But this is a real heart wringer - Warning: keep tissues close. Thank you.

An enjoyable read with some ups and downs like in every story. The writing turns quite repetitive sometimes however I think it's a nice book in general.
As for the characters, I think they're believable thought I got to say Danica was my favorite one, I guess that's because Chase seemed to be quite childish and immature sometimes. But as I mentioned above it's a nice book to read when you're not feeling too emotional. :)

If you're a fan of stories where the characters fall in love immediately, instantly profess their love, have endless cash flow without the semblance of an actual job, laughably cliched love scenes, and corn-syrup heavy melodrama, then surely this is the book for you!

Great love story

In this difficult time for our country and our wellbeing I find Ms Ames writings a good place to lose myself for a while.

Escaping into a human story with happy endings is always wonderful. I hope there are many more books to follow.

This is so good/bad that it cannot be captured by a star system. This is a bad episode of The L Word meets Lurlene McDaniel. I enjoyed it but I rolled my eyes many times.

Meh. Very clichéd romance, can't really find much fault in the writing (except for constantly saying their partner's full name when telling them 'I love you'. Who does that every single time????).

But it seriously included every single romance cliché starting with love at first sight. From then on, every single plot point could be seen coming from a mile away.

However, something must have worked because in between I cried like a baby...

This is an enjoyable emotional kind of story. The characters created were as emotionally real as possible however I'd say their living status perhaps not. It is however fiction so no complains from me on that. I loved the instant attraction, their uncertainties and their promises to one another
