If you like spicy romances with hilarious banter and guaranteed HEAs, you'll love this small town romance novel about a professional athlete falling for a fiery workaholic.
I’ve hit rock bottom.
Fresh off the worst year of my life, I’m at a golf course in the middle of nowhere to lick my wounds after my cheating ex destroyed me, my professional golf career, and my belief in love and commitment in one fell swoop.
I am focused on one thing and one thing only—my game.
Until I run into a ball-stealing, trash-talking goddess, that is.
I tried to keep my distance, but have you met Bryn? She's stunning, but it's so much more than that. She is whip-smart, funnier than hell, and makes me rethink every priority I’ve set for myself.
Before I know what hits me, I’m in deep, ready to hand over my heart and never look back.
Until I stumble upon new information that completely changes the game. Now I don’t know if we’re over or if this is just one shot in the rough on the journey to all my wildest dreams coming true.
My writing is a testament to my love for romcoms, sprinkled generously with the very tropes that make my heart race: sports, small towns, and sarcastic heroines.
There is nothing I enjoy more than weaving narratives about strong, intelligent women and the irresistible men they love. If you enjoy books that are real, smart, and endlessly entertaining, you're in the right place!
When I'm not building worlds or creating characters that stay with you long after the last page, you'll find me spending time with my family, watching sports, or enjoying my small, Colorado town.

💬 Okay, I see you Emma Kate! The story was just fabulous. I don't think I've ever read a golf romance before and I was not sure what to expect but this was really good. Like it made me want to start watching golf 🤣
This author is definitely a hidden gem. I discovered her because I applied for an arc of the third book in this series, which I will have a review for in a couple of weeks, but I wanted to read the first two books so that I understood the back stories.
Bryn is smart, and funny, and just wonderfully sarcastic. I love sarcastic MCS and the snarky / witty banter they bring. I also really loved how she was such a strong woman, without being over the top. She knew what she want and she was afraid to go for it, and even though things didn't always work out the way she wanted them to she still kept pushing.
Jameson is so delicious lol. Also top notch with the snark, and I loved his sweet, kind personality. It just made me so happy how hard he fell for Bryn too. Like, gave me all the butterflies 🥹 And finally, his character growth was icing on the cake.
I also need to mention the communication between Jameson and Bryn. It was perfection👌🏼. I said before that the miscommunication trope doesn't really bother me, I mean it's not my favorite but I don't hate it. But it was sob refreshing to see them actually TALKING to each other and working out their issues and addressing the things head on. Obviously there was still third act drama but it didn't feel as crappy because they had such a strong foundation of communication.
My only complaint is probably a silly one, but I kind of hated Jameson's nickname...mostly because I kept saying it wrong in my head and kept having to remind myself of the correct pronunciation. I was saying it Jam-ee-oh, but I think it's supposed to be Jamie-oh.
When I started this one, I never expected to be so invested in golf romance. This is the first in the Wild Bluffs series. There are currently two books with the third coming out in June.
Upon reflection, this one is hard to nail down any of the usual tropes. Jameson is a famous professional golfer who is described to have hit rock bottom, but really, I just think he went through a breakup. He goes to Wild Bluffs to hang low for a bit and work on his golf game when he meets sassy hometown girl Bryn, who isn't like anyone he has met before.
Jameson was not looking for romance, but he enjoys Bryn's company. The two start off with some friendly hangouts which quickly morphs into casual dating. Due to Jameson's fame and image, the two decide to title themselves as "officially dating" while they try out the casual dating thing.
I absolutely loved Bryn but will say that I didn't love Jameson for a while. He had a lot of insecurities, and he took them out on Bryn. I understood them for the most part, but didn't like how juvenile he was about it.
This is an open-door spicy romance, but it wasn't necessary the spiciest. I will say that I did not find it believable that three minutes of hesitant missionary sex with a virgin was the absolute best sex that a playboy millionaire has EVER had in his entire life. I get it... when you know you know, and it is special with the right person, but the over-the-top reaction made it seem like he was lying.
Overall, though, I really liked the book as a whole and immediately ordered the second book.
It is an adorable one if you are in the mood for a cute romance.
This was so cute!! I read it all in a day, didn't want to put it down! The way Jameson falls for Bryn is just so sweet. I love Bryn's independence and I love her development by the end of the book! Jameson's as well, actually. They both came a long way! If you want to read something sweet and a little bit different from your average sport romance, then this book is the one for you!!
Forever Wild was the first book that made me fall completely, recklessly in love with the process of writing romance.
From the moment Jameson walked onto the page—grumpy, brooding, and wildly off his game—I knew Bryn was the only woman who could handle him. Smart, driven, and unapologetically herself, she challenged him in all the best ways. And he? Well, he made her see that maybe love doesn't have to come second to ambition. That maybe someone can cheer for your dreams and kiss you breathless after a bad day.
I loved writing their banter (because I firmly believe flirting is a sport), their slow-burn tension, and the way they slowly, reluctantly, fall all the way in. I loved the way Bryn holds her own in a world that underestimates her, and how Jameson never tries to dim her shine—he just wants to be close enough to feel its warmth.
But most of all, I loved writing a story about two people who think they have to choose between success and love—and who realize that maybe the biggest win is finding someone who wants to build a life with you, not just around you.
If you love sports romance, small towns, big dreams, and swoony heroes who fall hard (and first), I hope Forever Wild feels like a warm, funny, slightly spicy hug. Bryn and Jameson were the beginning of Wild Bluffs, and I hope they steal your heart the way they stole mine.
While I’m not a stranger to hockey, football or baseball sports romances, this was my first golf read - and Forever Wild did not disappoint!
Jameson Walker has hit a new low, and not the good kind. That’s how he finds himself in the middle of no where at the Wild Bluffs Country Club trying to stay out of the public eye. The aftermath of a bad relationship resulted in Jameson having the worst season of his professional golf career. His goals are simple, focus on himself and his game … that is until Bryn Harper putts her way into his life. While playing a round of golf at the country club for her sister’s birthday, Bryn drunkenly happens to hit the wrong ball meeting the not so happy recipient of said golfball, Jameson. Both decide their focus needs to be on their careers, but they simultaneously can’t deny the connection they have and reluctantly agree to give them a shot. But being a public figure can come with drawbacks and when an article gets published pushing Jamesons fears, it might just threaten everything.
I knew I was going to fall in love with Bryn and Jameson from their very first encounter - their banter and playfulness just pulled me right in and continued throughout the whole story. I thought Emma Kate did a nice job of having two relatable main characters. While there was certain aspects of them I couldn’t relate too, there were big chunks I found parallel to my own life and my own relationships. Bryn and Jameson didn’t come without flaws and baggage and at times their miscommunication just made me want to yell at them (!!). However it was refreshing to see their past insecurities be acknowledged and understood by the other and worked through. Their relationship aside, it’s always nice to see a strong and independent FMC in novels!
Forever Wild was a quick and super cute read which includes the following:
✨ Sports Romance ✨ MMC Professional Golfer ✨ Career Driven and Sassy FMC ✨ Small Town ✨ He Falls First
SIDE NOTES: The side characters in this book are a fun bunch! Hoping for a second book with two of the sides as mains and of course Bryn & Jameson updates!
“It’s like comfort food but for my eyes and ears.”🍔👁️👂🏻
This book gave sport romances a good name, and the author executed this so well. By page 2 I was already smiling and laughing. I instantly fell in love with the characters and was going to seriously crash out if they did not get their HEA🫠😅 The side characters were even likable too which is important because this is a series and I know I’ll be seeing some of them in the following books. I found myself getting so lost that it started playing in my head as a movie and now I am desperately hoping it will one day hit productions🍿🎬
This was an easy read with smut, laughs, and wit that is so good. The author even included BUBLE TEXT FORMAT, which I prefer wayyy more than the plain text format💬📲 It gives the book an UMPH that makes me stay interested. The way the MC’s jabbed at each other I could not get over. They knew how to push each other’s buttons for sure. Their love is the type that gives you a butterfly feeling, both parties reassured each other, and fit perfectly together like a puzzle🦋🧩 This had a satisfying ending that makes me excited for more.
I would recommend this to anyone looking to get into sport romances, but beware there are explicit sexual scenes. I will be continuing on with the series and the best part is they’re a standalone series so if you want to jump around you can🩷💚
This was my first time reading a golf sports romance and I think I need more!
Jameson is a professional golfer with a bad year and a failed relationship he escapes to a small town to work on his golf game. That’s where he stumbles across Bryn who is at her home town course for a bachelorette weekend.
Things really start off with the meet cute. She accidentally hit his ball on the rough of 1 of the holes on the course when he come over all broody. Instantly Bryn is sassy and not afraid to call Jameson out. This Instantly intrigued him because most ladies fawn over him.
From there the story flows both them figuring out their insecurities from being able to have a home and work balance in life to afraid of someone using you in a relationship. A warning there is a LItTLE THIRD ACT breakup but it didn’t last long and I felt with the scenario and pervious struggles you saw it leading up this way.
Reading this I felt like Bryn could be my best friend along with her group of gals. From the jokes to quote movies these girls had me cracking up. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
Thank you so much to BookFunnel and Emma Kate for this ARC!
My first golf romance book and boy I was excited for this! And gosh this did not disappoint! I could not put this book down! Devoured it in under 24 hours!
I absolutely adored their chemistry throughout the book. It had me giggling, swooning, gasping and sad. I loved Bryn's strong will, independence and humour and Jameos loving, caring side is so nice to read! Both healing from past relationships and trying to juggle work and a relationship together made the perfect story, and it was sprinkled with a nice heat or spice!
✨ Golf romance ✨ He falls first ✨ "Good girl" ✨ Small town romance ✨ Golden retriever x black cat
Already thinking about book 2 and who it could be about? JT and Lila?????
What an absolutely gorgeous story. I love the chemistry between Bryn and Jameson. I love a good sports romance but being a golf sports romance was was different to any I’ve read before and I thoroughly enjoyed that. I really connected with Bryn throughout her journey in the book. The playfulness between the two kept me wanting more all throughout the story and I was hoping for it to not end. Love this book!
I really enjoyed Forever Wild! It’s not often that you see golf as a sports romance, so that was a really nice touch. I loved how strong-willed Bryn was and how Golden Retriever Jameson ended up being.
I could definitely see how much thought Emma put into this novel. And I can most definitely see a sequel in the future!
Love, love, loved Bryn and Jameson's story! I discovered this book and picked it up because of the blurb. You don't see too many golf romances, and I was intrigued. I didn't want to put it down! While I don't care for the F-bombs, I overlooked them and thoroughly enjoyed the story. Now I'm off to read book 2!
READ THIS BOOK! So cute!! Read it in one day. Loved all of the movie references and the characters were well thought out, multi layered, and very likable. High on entertaining banter👏🏻 Had a couple of unexpected twists/fell for some misleads that kept me reading. All of the Colorado references were so cool, too. Will absolutely be reading the next in the wild bluffs series!
Bryn and Jameson were such fun characters. Emma wrote an amazing story full of banter and chemistry. I love a sassy and independent FMC and a hunky MMC.
ARC review 4/5 ⭐️ Loved the whole story from start to finish the main I haven’t actually read any golf romance but this one actually made me want to go and hit some golf balls just for fun!
If you’re looking for a hot new lovers story with a happy ending than definitely give this book a go!
Ok! Sign me up to be a wag of golf because if they’re half the man Jameo is, then it’s more than enough. Jameo and Bryn had to work through their own differences from past relationships and navigated through fame on his part and over working on her part.
I loved the story and enjoy ANY book that makes me actively root for the characters! I can’t wait to dive into book 2!
This was my first time reading a golf sports romance, and I was impressed. Jameson is a professional golfer down on his luck with a failed relationship and his golf game. He takes to a private golf course to mend his game and his heart. He stumbles upon Bryn, who is at a Bachelorette get-together. Their meet cute on the rough of 1 of the holes on the course was perfect and later only to stumble upon her and friends after they went streaking across the resort. Bryn has some sass and is not afraid to call Jameson out. He's intrigued, and the story takes it from there.
The story flowed nicely, along with getting to know the two leads. Bryn wasn't with Jameson for money, and it showed. She was more into who he was as a person, and so was he for her. The little third act breakup didn't last long, and they had their Happily Ever After. It was the perfect chill read for me after some dark mood reading.
This was a cute, fairly insta-love, but with fun banter, sports romance.
I actually really enjoyed the beginning. I liked the banter, the FMC was super sassy and sarcastic, and I loved how broody but also sarcastic the MMC was. But a lot of that fell off after about the first quarter to third of the book and then it became a very cutesy lovey romance. Which isn't a bad thing! If that's what you like! I just like a little more, angst, little more, wanting, and I wanted to banter to continue throughout the entire book.
I saw the drama at the end coming a mile away. And I'm really irritated with how the MMC reacted. You're telling me that the entire book he could barely go a few hours without talking to the FMC, that they always talked before bed and first thing in the morning, and yet during the height of the drama, and a broken phone, that he didn't think of some how to get ahold of her? I call bull. It felt way out of character for how he was the entire book.
And then she forgave him too easily and was ready to give up her job (granted she def should have quit) but instead of trying to find something else she was just gonna settle traveling around with him and being a WAG. Girl no. Absolutely not.
But in the end, it was a cute read. If you want cutesy, insta-love, with minimal drama, this will be right up your alley!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
The banter in this book is absolutely amazing!! I found myself smiling, giggling and laughing basically throughout the full book. Jameo and Bryn have such a fun, nagging and cute relationship. I didn’t want to put the book down!
The banter between the sisters were also amazing. Iz, the sweet to her sour and Kelsey is definitely just the sour, but fits in the little trio so well. I loved all the scenes with them.
I’m not the best at predicting the outcome of books, but even so, this book surprised me in the best way possible. It had me feeling all the feelings, even the one that almost rips my heart out a little.
I cannot give this less than 5 stars!! The way I couldn’t stop smiling so often is ridiculous. Thank you so so much for letting me read the ARC for this one Emma Kate!

🌟ARC Review🌟 Forever Wild By Emma Kate Releasing 08.27.24 Thanks to the author for the Advanced Reader Copy
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Emma Kate, are you sure you’re a debut author? Because after binging Forever Wild, I say otherwise! Your character development, writing quality, storyline, and literally everything else is top notch. The story of Bryn and Jameson is definitely in the tops of my five star reads. I’ve been searching for good golf romcom after reading Fangirl Down and this is it!
The way that these two met was amazing, right then and there I knew there would be so much banter and falling for one another. For Jameson to slowly but surely come out of his own head to realize Bryn isn’t there for his fame or money was so great to read about. Not to mention Bryn overcoming her mindset of not being able to have the career AND the man.
I was pleasantly surprised how much actual golf was weaved into this book. A sports romance without the real feeling of the sport is not something that I can get into. This was not the case with Forever Wild though. And on top of that, there was a ton of stuff going on behind the scenes and still able to have a full plot showcasing the relationship between these two.
I have a feeling who will be included in book two and if it involves a fellow pro golfer and a short feisty sister of a certain someone, I’m totally here for it. I’m keeping my eyes out for ARC signups because I don’t want to wait any longer than I have to!
I should also mention the ending of this book, I feel like it really came full circle. And despite their issues, Bryn and Jameson were able to tackle every hiccup they encountered in both of their careers along the way! I’m so ready to dive back into them town of Wild Bluffs and it’s not even been an hour after finishing book one!
Never thought I’d enjoy reading a book about golf but here I am. It was fun and flirty, with a nice side of spice.
Starting off on the wrong foot every bodes well but for Bryn and Jameson, it seems to do the opposite. Of course, there is attitude and sass coming from Bryn but nothing that Jameson couldn’t handle, or back up with his own comebacks. Meeting in a golf course, playing the game they both love, happens to be a fiesta but fabulous meet cute.
The amount of banter that goes on between the two is a perfect combination so the issues they face.
Both travelling constantly for their jobs, proves to be a challenge but one they both commit to making work. With the detriments of both being successful in their respective careers, both Bryn and Jameson are each others biggest supporters.
When sh*t hits the fan, Jameson shuts out the world, to focus on his game. Unfortunately, the miscommunication with Bryn leaving her questioning many things and if she is really the person that Jameson needs.
Bryn has her own work struggles but takes the biggest gamble and thankfully, pays off.
Read this fun and dirty golf read to find out what the gamble is…
Great debut novel by Emma Kate and I hope there is a second to the series (hopefully it’s Lila and JT 😏)
P.S. can’t forget how protective sisters can be!
Fav quote: “I promise there is no ring in my pocket that I’m about to spring on you, but there is also no doubt in my mind that one day I will be down in my knee asking you to make me the happiest man in the world.”

I loved Bryn and Jameson. Bryn is such a good FMC. She’s sarcastic, funny, confident and ambitious. She knows what she wants for her future and her career. She needs someone who understands her ambition and won’t try to change her. However, when she meets Jameson, they don’t start off on the right foot. Jameson is cautious of Bryn because he’s gone through a horrible break-up, his professional golf career has gone downhill and he doesn’t want to lose focus on his golf game. However, after feeling an attraction to Bryn, he can’t stay away.
After reading Bryn and Jameson’s first encounter, I knew this book was going to be filled with funny banter. I was not wrong. Bryn and her sister’s banter was funny too. That is another reason I loved about this book.
These two understand each other and their goals. They also try to help each other meet the goals they have set. The communication between Bryn and Jameson was great to read. I felt like this helped this book feel more realistic. I cannot forget the side characters also! They were so much fun and such a great support system for these two.
I would 100% recommend this book, especially if you love sports romances and witty banter. I cannot wait for the next one!
Thank you Emma Kate For the ARC for an honest review!
Let me just tell you... I HATE golf. But this book...I might just go hit a ball into the rough & see if a rich, 6'4, dark haired, green eyed, bearded golfer takes a fancy to me & calls me 'good girl.'
Emma Kate, you girl are a hidden gem. I absolutely loved this read & I appreciate the HEA & not having my heart shattered into a million pieces.
I love Bryn. She reminds me of myself. Sarcastic, smart, snarky/witty, yet strong & independent. She knows what she wants & isn't afraid to go after it.
Jameson (Jameo). Uh, yum?! He is what girls dream of. I love how he matches Bryns sarcasm & banter. Their communication is just perfection.
The characters growth for both is amazing. The fact they TALK to work out their issues & address things head on rather than the usual miscommunication trope that has you screaming at the book & wondering if you should bother reading on.
There's definitely some spice in this read (open door romance) & it was perfect. It's not over the top & spaced out just right.
I thoroughly enjoyed this read & am definitely in my sports romance era. Book no.2 is already on my Kindle, ready to go!

Although I'm familiar with sports romances in hockey, football, and baseball, Forever Wild is a golf-themed romance!
Jameson Walker - Golf Pro MMC, reeling from a rough season and a recent breakup, seeks refuge at Wild Bluffs Country Club. His solitude is disrupted when Bryn Harper, during her sister’s birthday celebration, accidentally hits him with a golf ball. Despite their initial clash, a spark ignites, leading to a budding romance complicated by Jameson's public image. An intrusive article threatens to derail their connection just as they begin to open up to each other.
Bryn and Jameson's chemistry is electric from the start, with their playful banter and real-life struggles making them engaging and relatable. Emma Kate skillfully portrays their journey through personal and professional challenges, adding depth to their relationship. Bryn's strong, independent character is a highlight, and while their miscommunications can be frustrating, their growth and understanding make for a satisfying read. Looking forward to book #2 in this series!

Book Besties, buckle up because I'm about to gush! Emma Kate's debut novel knocked my socks off, and I'm still trying to figure out is she really is a debut author ... Seriously, Emma, what's your secret?
Picture this: Sitting outside on your porch, sipping a cool drink, and suddenly BAM! You're transported into the story. That's how vivid the writing is, people. And don't even get me started on the pop culture references - it's like Emma raided my brain for all the good stuff!
Now, let's talk about Bryn and Jameson. Holy smokes, these two! Their banter game is so strong it should be an Olympic sport. I'm coining a new term here: "bantery perfection." From page one, I was hooked like a fish on... well, a hook. Yes, they have some issues to work out (we all do- right?), but watching them navigate their issues is half the fun.
This book isn't just a read; it's a whole vibe. It's officially landed on my top-reads-of-summer list, and I'm not even mad about it.
Oh, and plot twist: I'm now a golf romance convert. Who knew whacking little balls around could be so spicy? Emma Kate, you've created a monster, and I'm here for it!
So, if you're looking for a book that'll make you laugh, swoon, and possibly consider taking up golf, this is it. Emma Kate, I'm officially your new biggest fan. Can't wait to see what you tee up next!
Forever Wild is Emma Kate’s debut novel, and it’s a confident, charming start to what promises to be a fun small-town romance series. We’re introduced to Jameson and Bryn—two driven, slightly chaotic souls who crash into each other (literally) on the golf course and never quite recover.
The story hooks you from the beginning, with a delicious mix of spice, banter, and vulnerability. Emma Kate somehow makes professional golf feel sexy and dynamic—girl, I don’t know how you did it. 🏌️♂️⛳️
Jameson is your classic grumpy-with-a-marshmallow-centre hero—brooding, emotionally bruised, and completely gone for Bryn from the start. And Bryn? She’s bold, career-driven, and fiercely funny. Their chemistry is electric, with that perfect “he falls first and hard” energy that trope-lovers will adore.
The small-town vibes are strong, with gossip, meddling sisters, and peak forced proximity. There’s also real emotional payoff, especially as the story explores public perception, ambition, and second chances.
Sure, there are a few predictable beats and the occasional debut rough edge—but the humour, heart, and heat more than make up for it. If you love emotional build-up, close-knit communities, and characters finding their way back to each other, Forever Wild is definitely worth the read. 🌲💫
Listen, do all relationships have miscommunication? Absolutely. My husband has neglected to tell me he had softball practice after work, and I was going to be stranded at the high school we work at together because we rode to work together. Was I really annoyed? Yes. Did I make him walk to my Dad’s classroom and tuck his tail and make him ask my Dad to drive me to my own house to pick up my car to go get my son? Yes. Not allllllllll miscommunications in relationships have to trigger a break up and to be completely honest, that’s my most hated trope, so 5 stars IMMEDIATELY for communicating in a healthy manner.
Okay, back to the book:
If you enjoyed Fangirl Down, you’ll love this book! Both characters start out denying a relationship, but the banter builds and the reader can absolutely tell that Jameson and Bryn are MEANT TO BE! I also appreciated the older ages of the characters. I’m 28 and the same age as the FMC, so maybe that’s why there was some more mature coping in the relationship when they were struggling with their own insecurities about relationships, but knowing that EACH of them were ready to give up their career so the other could chase theirs, because in someways they were unhappy with the distance and shitty coworkers.

“I mean, have you ever read a romance novel in it with a golfer as the main character?”
This was such a cute book! Jameson and Bryn are perfect for each other. They balance each other out in the cutest way. After a rough break-up, followed by a rough year of golf, professional golfer Jameson is in a bad spot. Bryn, this strong, carefree, no filtered woman, is just what he needs to push himself out of his dark place.
Bryn is incredible, I want to be her so bad. Her lack of a filter had me laughing through the whole book. The relationship she had with her sister was amazing and I loved how they all rallied around her when she needed them the most.
I’m amazed this was a debut author. The characters all had great developments and had great communication in their relationship. I can definitely see a few books in the further focusing on their friend and family. I’m especially excited to see what’s happening between JT and Lila

Forever Wild is a golf romance! Okay don't run away yet lol. I have never read a golf romance before and I think the author did a fantastic job with it. I've never been interested in golf, as a sport, myself, but after reading this book, I would definitely be willing to go hang out on the tee, drinking, and having a good time lol.
FMC Bryn is from small town Wild Bluffs- which is known for its private golf course. She's got a cool job that allows her to travel constantly, but she's back in town for her older sister's birthday. I adore Bryn. She word vomits, she's independent, her banter is great, and she and her sisters sound like a fun time!
MMC Jameson is a professional golfer. He's in Wild Bluff because his game is way off. He's losing sponsorships if he doesn't get it together. Running into Bryn on the course, and then again at the restaurant bar, Jameson may have found the one thing that molds him back together... and his golf swing! Jameson was fun too. His banter when texting Bryn is good. I was worried for a second there that he'd turn into a jerk in the end, but he surprised us all! He's a keeper for sure!
I really tried to push through this one but I just couldn’t. The first ten chapters were almost entirely about people playing golf and honestly it was super boring. I don’t mind a bit of sports in romance but this felt like a lot of time on the golf course and not nearly enough on the actual relationship.
The story follows Jameson, a pro golfer who’s hit rock bottom after his cheating ex ruins both his career and his faith in love. He’s hiding out at a golf course to focus on his game, but then he meets Bryn, a ball stealing trash talking goddess who completely throws him off. What starts as a snarky meet cute turns into something deeper until a damaging article threatens to ruin everything between them.
It actually sounds like a fun setup, and when Jameson and Bryn were together their banter was enjoyable to read. But there just wasn’t enough of that. The chapters without them together were full of inner monologues that dragged, and when they did talk it felt like a lot of nothing conversations. I made it about 113 pages in, around 29 percent, before giving up because it just never hooked me the way I wanted it to.
If you’re really into golf and don’t mind a slower paced romance this might work better for you. But for me it was a miss.
