Nostalgia, humour and quiet beauty

Stations: Travels with Pen, invites readers on a vivid poetic journey across the country, exploring the deep currents of love, hurt, hope, and memory. Kyle Coare’s collection winds through shady lanes, along sun-drenched promenades, into identical hotel rooms, and beside the irresistible pull of the sea.
Each poem offers a glimpse into moments suspended in time — shards of history, flickers of mystery, the easy laughter carried on a summer breeze, and the poignant longing found beneath moving trains.

This is the second book I’ve read by Kyle Coare, and once again, I’m captivated by his honest, vivid style. His writing effortlessly captures the feel of a place, layering nostalgia and warmth that make the scenes come alive. The air of gentle reminiscence is both heartwarming and uplifting, filled with fond memories, touches of humour, and moments of pure, honest emotion.

Several poems stand out as particular favorites: the comically relatable Sat Nav, the beautifully optimistic Sometimes Rainbows, and the tender, dreamlike Only a Dream Away. Coare’s use of vivid imagery is especially powerful in pieces like Cornish Sands, Old Oak Tree, and the hauntingly beautiful Shady Lanes.

Perfect for anyone who cherishes the quiet magic of travel, the resilience of the human spirit, and the beauty of finding meaning in everyday moments.

Okay, so I just finished Kyle Coare's "Stations," and it's seriously awesome. If you think poetry is boring, this book will totally change your mind. It’s like watching a movie because he tells these amazing stories, but they're all in poems. I loved the constant contrast throughout the book. One moment you're wrapped in the warm, intimate romance of a poem, and the next you're plunged into a darker, more reflective piece that sits with you long after you've put the book down. The poems feel like a travel diary for the soul, exploring movement, memory, and emotion with raw honesty.
A stanza that really stood out to me was from "Cuddles on the last train":
"Cuddles on the last train, she sleeps aslumber on his shoulder, as he watches the rain racing with the bracing wind.
Tumbling down the window pane." Even when the poems get heavy, he always ends up showing you that there’s still hope. You should definitely check this one out, it’s a quick, deep, and really cool read.

Stations is a poetry collection that captures everyday moments and turns them into relatable, reflective scenes. The first poem, “Sat Nav,” describes a confusing car journey to show the frustration, humour, and chaos of modern travel. The funny lines about wrong directions and a SatNav that “is trying to kill you and me” make the poem light, memorable, and genuinely amusing.

however, “Where the Sunlight Plays” brings a calm and peaceful mood as the poet watches light dancing on the waves. This shift from stress to serenity shows how the book moves smoothly between different emotions and moments in life.

The poet also includes photographs, which make the entire collection feel personal, warm, and visually engaging which is absolutely my favourite part hehe

Overall, I really liked it because it's a simple, vivid, and beginner-friendly poetry book. It’s easy to read, yet it still leaves space for reflection and appreciation of small daily details<3

Kyle has officially become my fav poet because this is the second by him that I just finished reading and oh my 😭 I’m in love. The way he has defined places and basically his way of describing something is so beautiful and heartwarming ❤️

He imagines limitless travel and freedom, with no fixed destination. He sees beautiful, lush green landscapes stretching out before him. He imagines vast, vibrant blue oceans whose surfaces are so smooth and reflective they look like mirrors.

I mean how can someone not fall in love with his poetry??? Aghhh I can’t wait to read more and please don’t come at me, I’m not exaggerating, I actually loved it and I will not stop recommending him and he definitely deserves more recognition and promotion ❤️❤️❤️

Station is one of those rare poetry collection that holds your hand , make you pause and let you breath. The poet has beautifully taken us with him through his journey, as if every page is its own platform, every poem its own brief stop between pain and healing.
The writing is simple and I felt everything to the core of my heart.
This is going to be one of my most favourite poetry book that I have read recently.
My favourite stanza is;

“In this second,
frailty
does not
make him weak.
It makes him real.
It makes him human.
It makes him survive.”

If you Love poetry, this book is definitely for you

Stations is one of those poetry collections that feels like flipping through someone’s travel diary. The poems are simple but emotional full of trains, quiet hotel rooms, late-night thoughts, and that mix of loneliness and wonder you feel when you’re moving from place to place.

Some pieces are soft and comforting, others hit surprisingly deep. It’s not flashy poetry, just honest and human, and that’s what makes it stay with you. Perfect if you like reflective, travel-soaked writing with real heart. ✨

Thanks a bunch mbooktours & kyle coare for this amazing opportunity. This poetry is called Stations that talk about different places/stations from Kyle’s pov. He paints a vivid picture of dreaming of nature in its most open, powerful, and beautiful forms—symbolizing freedom, adventure, and awe at the natural world. Is not a very long poetry book—can be read in 2-3 sittings. The overall structure and execution is outstanding. Kyle has shared his raw emotions and thoughts that make his work 10x better. Surely recommended.

This poetry collection was phenomenal and I felt like being on a journey. The writing depicts that the poet is fond of nature and slow life and he is comparing everything with nature. Moreover, the pieces felt like it is a journey including station, departure, delay etc having multiple aspects of life at a time. Looking forward to more works from him.
