There was his gothic crucifix distraction, sleeping on the chaise in the quiet library he had hoped to slip away to for just a few minutes of peace. He paused in the doorway, startled to see her there. The bright light of the hallway spilled into the softer, muted lights of the office. She had multiple books strewn around her on the soft chaise, but what he noticed more was not only the tired lines on her face, but the gentle rise of her breasts spilling from the top of that blasted dress he hadn’t been able to get out of his head all night.

She had loosened the ties of whatever was holding it all together underneath, the purple lace strings peeping over the edge of the black dress.

Instant hard-on. He could imagine pulling those laces loose. Maybe using them more productively, were she into that kind of thing too.

He really didn’t need a distraction. Also, she was sleeping and looked tired. She stirred, shifting against a book that had become lodged underneath a swirl of material from her dress, covering her thigh. A tendril of her purple hair fell to her cheekbone, and she mumbled in her sleep.

...

And here she was. Curled up with a book, her breasts begging him to release them, when all he really knew was her name. His distraction, come to life.

But he decided to quietly slip by and grab his briefcase, maybe even snag a book or two himself, and head on to his rooms. A quiet evening, after evading so many handsy women, intent on shagging a Prince, sounded nice. He knew when someone was interested in him, and when someone was interested in his position. He’d spent a lifetime deciphering that one- from friends to lovers.

This one, however, with her eye-rolling, did not seem impressed. And again, he felt himself stir at the thought of kissing that sarcasm off her face. From the massive wall of books, he selected a history of the timeline of Locasus, curiosity winning at the thought that the owner likely added this to the Library to impress them, and wondering at its accuracy as he hadn’t seen this one before. From behind him, he heard a soft moan slip from her. Turning he noticed she had shifted down further again, seeming to try to get comfortable on the long chaise, but disturbing her left breast even further, exposing the edge of the areola.

Luc groaned under his breath. How the hell was a person supposed to avoid that? The heat in their gazes earlier had been hot enough.

But instead, he noticed the soft chenille blanket on the edge of the chaise, inviting guests to get comfortable, and he reached for it, intending to cover her for warmth and coverage, should anyone else enter af

Aisling Storm believes in the power of dreams—even the ones that once felt impossible. As a neurodivergent teen entering the foster care system, she couldn’t always imagine a future filled with hope. But it was during that time she wrote her first romance, passing it among friends who begged for more. She never expected to share her stories publicly again—until she did.

Now, Aisling writes emotionally rich, character-driven romance that centers mental health, neurodivergence, and love that feels like home. Her stories often explore resilience, soft kink, and diverse couples navigating real-life challenges with tenderness and fire. Her goal: to reflect the strength and complexity of those who don’t often see themselves in traditional love stories.

Aisling has contributed to research with other mental health authors, but fantasy and romance will always have her heart. She lives in the city with her found fur-family and loves exploring farmers markets and antique stores—when her pets let her escape.

“I see your fire,” Luc’s eyes raged, “it strokes mine.”

We all need a prince like Luc and a friend like Jak in our lives.

A sweet, enchanting romance that takes a mundane girl into a fantasy beyond our wildest dreams.

Call me crazy, but I'd fuck the boss at the interview.
