This book is a written collection of short stories originally told through his podcast Acephael in which the author narrates. I have been a patron of his for a while now and remember messaging him asking if there was like a roadmap or a place to get written versions of his work so I can start to connect the pieces that pop up in his stories. He was also coy about when or if that would happen. So when this came out I was ecstatic.

I guess I’m spoiled because I hear his voice in my head when I was reading these through, which just draws you further info to his world. Each story is dripping with tension, curiosity and terror. Not the kind where a werewolf rips you apart, but the kind where you wake up from a nightmare in a cold sweat and can’t tell what’s real or what’s the dream.

If you enjoy giving your spine that chill, giving yourself goosebumps or to question the odd things that surround you, you NEED to read or listen to his work. Jeffrey is so deserving of so much and I hope to see his works continue to explode
