Started off with a whole lot of chapters inside the game thingy which is kinda not my thing but once the main MCs were revealed it got more interesting 🧐
ok so the plot twist was INSANEEE, idk how i didn’t think of this like i feel dumb but like omg the gasp i gusped. i really enjoyed this, i think this one is in top 3 favs for manhwas, i could not put the book down. i really liked the gaming aspect and the fact that they’re both trying to hurt the other in the beginning, AHHH I LOVE ENEMIES TO LOVERS 10/10
i finished this in like less than a week, casually reading. its a very cute romcom between 2 individuals, one being avoidant attachment and the other being the anxious one. it was pretty gut-wrenching seeing how well played this dynamic was. one minute i was like "omg nooo its doomed" then the next i was thankful that they were able to sort their differences. its one of the more genuinely cute, wholesome bl's (or ive been told) to read and was recommended by multiple friends. for the record, im not an avid reader of the genre; rarely dwell upon it but since i had been in the mood for something cute and romantic i didn't mind this short read.
The first arc of the story where Kim Seyoung (MC) was still catfishing Shin Heejae (ML) was my favourite because it was hilarious and their interactions were so fun to read. KSY regarded SHJ as his enemy for humiliating him in-game and he wanted to humiliate SHJ in return but who knew that he would end up with a boyfriend instead. SHJ basically barged into KSY’s life and turned it upside down and they even lived together but in terms of the emotional aspect of their relationship, it developed much slower because KSY was in denial of how he felt for SHJ, and it took a while for them to open up to each other because both had fears about the uncertainty of their relationship. Not only that, while SHJ was anxious whenever something good happened, afraid that it would be taken away from him, KSY was afraid to form close and meaningful relationships with people after being burned by his family and friends in the past.
It was a long process that took a lot of effort on SHJ’s part to convince KSY that he chose KSY and truly wanted to be with him. Neither of them are perfect and they sometimes hurt each other and often frustrate each other to death, but they understand each other. I have to say though that even though SHJ was younger than KSY by three years, I felt like SHJ was more mature than KSY. KSY threw tantrums a lot and he wasn’t good at communicating how he felt, and I also wasn’t a fan of how he liked hitting SHJ when SHJ annoyed him too much and how he destroyed some of SHJ’s stuff when he got mad. Then again, if I were in KSY’s shoes and a random guy (whom I catfished) showed up and started living with me and pestered me to be with him, I would probably react the same way. In conclusion, both of them are weirdos with the patience to deal with each other’s bullshit.
I really liked the art and I think the pacing is alright for the most part, but it did get a little boring somewhere in the middle where it felt like KSY and SHJ weren’t making any progress and they kept going in circles. I did appreciate how we got the story told from SHJ’s perspective though - it made the story more interesting because we got to read how he felt after finding out he got catfished, what his initial plans were for dealing with KSY and how he eventually fell first.
Oh well, wasn't expecting o like this as much as I did. I went in with 0 expectations and it surprised me. After Reunion I didn't think I was gonna find as good as manwha so soon. Also, this is my second time reading one with gamer characters in a gamer setting. And it was way better and more entretaining that My neighbor next door ups.
Okay, so, it's been so long since had a yandere ML hahahahahaha. Heejae was hilarious. He was totally delulu (tw red flag boy...who tracks down an online f who had clearly scammed him?!, sigh). But he was also really cute. It's so much fun getting to his pov amd it being completely different (like I said, delulu) from the MC's.
I was so excited to start this, and now I finally finished it in one day! (I was busy with school work and I didn't do it just so that I could finally finish this story, gosh). They're so precious~ I just love every bit of it (kind of wanted more though, but it's fine!) If you want a wholesome bl story with some RPG type of thing, then this is for yaa~ Tbh this is kinda similar to “My Darling has Signed in” (which I also loved).
Gaming BL always makes my brain go brrrr. I am so obsessed with every aspect of this couple it’s probably a little unhealthy. Every single trope of this story was perfectly designed in a lab to make me giggle and kick my feet. 11/10 This somewhat comes close to dethroning ICDI for best gaming novel I’ve read.
Marking this for all 81 chapters of the webtoon - not sure if we'll be getting any side stories
If we're being honest, both of them need therapy. But it was a hilarious rollercoaster. Super slow burn though and if you're looking for smut, there's none of that here
me leí el manwha solamente pero lo voy a contar aqui !! honestamente no me gustó mucho y sobretodo porque no conecte con los protagonistas, aún asi tuvo sus momentos entretenidos
