This series is continuing to blow my mind! Just when I think I’ve seen it all, our little Miss Janet does something else that leaves me speechless. This is one of the most well written stories that I have read in a while and I cannot wait to read the third and final installment when it’s released. If you love psychological fiction stories that stick with you way after the last page, I definitely recommend this one.

And we're back!!!! Janet is 18 now, a senior in high school and about to graduate. The traumatic events from the 1st book are still a well kept secret but tearing Janet up! Her and Alize are good friends unfortunately.
She's older but not much wiser since she is drinking and hanging out with men too old for her and being tormented by her past that won't just go away. On the surface everything looks good but all it takes is one trigger and we're right back to dealing with old wounds and not so buried secrets.
If you have not read the 1st book, stop go back and get caught up because the conclusion in book 3 will be here at the end of August.
Its entertaining, thrilling, unbelievable and so much more. I can't wait to see what happens with Janet and Family in the conclusion.

I absolutely loved this book. From the first book, I was hooked! The character Janet was so spot on I felt like a little girl growing up with Janet

Awesome
This one is a big success from the beginning, is a bit confusing when a book starts with many characters but it’s important for the story in this case. A jealous sister that have a dark secret that involves his half brother dead. She dreams about the day her Dad comes back to her Mom to be the family they used to be until her father cheated on her mom with Yolanda. Not before realizing Yolanda is expecting twins and that his father won’t come back.
After a while Janet’s decides to be the best sister for the twins, not without the suffering of hiding, and dreaming of her past. Janet is regretting all the events of her childhood but it is too late for that and she knows Yolanda and her family would never forgive.

Loved it!
Glad to see Janet grew up and got some closure. She still went through her own trials and tribulations, but closing the chapter on her life as a murderer needed to be done.
I will say though: Hecominginahonda had me over here 💀🤣🤣

Alexander!! This was a great read. I went from enjoying and cracking up over Janet in book 1. Damn near being one of my favorite characters in a long time. Then now wanting me to pop her LOL. I’m glad we got to grow up with her and all that not only her but the family has been going through. Each chapter got better and better leaving you wanting more. You never really knew which turn it was taking next.
What sucked the most was Danae. She was a completely great friend to Janet but people like Janet only know how to use and discard when done. Even though everyone has a choice on how they handle something being done to them. This story also shows how one bad decision from one person can have a chain effect.
Ready for book 3. I highly recommend this series.

WHOA!! Janet is still crazy as hell! This sequel did not disappoint. I was captivated from the first line until the ending. This author has a way with her words that keeps you invested and engrossed in the storyline. The ending didn’t disappoint either! Highly recommend!

Some of the characters surprise me. Janet definitely still has her wild mean side. This book was definitely a great read. Some of the characters will surprise you and you may be shock by it. It is was a quick read also and you might not put the book down.

This book is a page turner. I was satisfied with the first book and how it ended, but when I learned there was a second, I could not wait to read it. The Author did not disappoint.

Road to Malevolence 2 was definitely stronger than the first book for me. Samyra Alexander turned the intensity all the way up with this installment. It’s fast-paced, messy, suspenseful, and packed with the kind of twists that had me stopping mid-page because there was simply NO WAY Janet was about to do what I thought she was about to do.
And then she did it.
Set in 1996, Janet is older now, more rebellious, and somehow even more unpredictable. In the first book, I looked at her as a misunderstood child dealing with circumstances and emotions she didn’t have the tools to properly process. Even after she made some terrible decisions, there was still a part of me that could see the hurt child underneath everything.
Book two changed that for me.
Janet is TROUBLED. There is no cute way to put it. This girl needs to deal with her trauma because keeping everything buried is clearly taking her somewhere darker. She is carrying a secret that is eating her alive, and instead of confronting what happened, she becomes increasingly desperate to make sure the truth stays hidden. Every decision creates another problem, and every problem seems to push her closer to doing something even more outrageous.
But what frustrated me almost as much as Janet was every adult around her.
HOW is nobody paying attention?!
The warning signs are everywhere. At home, at school, at church, in the neighborhood—Janet is basically running amok while the adults are so wrapped up in their own situations that they continuously miss what is happening right in front of them. Even the people closest to Janet recognize that something isn’t right, but nobody seems willing to push hard enough to find out why.
One of the most interesting things about Janet, though, is the effect she has on other people. Somehow, she manages to pull out sides of people they probably didn’t even realize existed. Sometimes she barely has to do anything. Put Janet in the equation and suddenly everybody’s judgment has left the building.
There were scenes where my mouth was OPEN. Other times I was laughing and yelling, “There is NO WAY this girl is real-life unhinged like this!” 😂 Because just when I thought I understood where the story was headed, here came another turn.
By the end, I had reached one conclusion: EVERYBODY needs a time-out. Janet. Her friends. And especially some of these grown folks because WHAT are y’all doing?!
This series is becoming one wild psychological ride. Book one introduced me to Janet. Book two made me question everything I thought I understood about her.
Now I need to know what kind of chaos Book 3 is bringing because there is absolutely no way we’re done here.

In book one, I thought that Janet was just a misunderstood child, trying her best in life. She made some mistakes, one which was quite terrible and she regretted it. But book two has me convinced that Janet is a very troubled person. And nobody is paying attention again! The adults are caught up in their lives ignoring the obvious signs of distress, her closest friends know something is off, but they are not pressing her about it. Janet is running amok all up and through the neighborhood, the school, the church - just everywhere, all to keep a horrible secret hidden. A secret that is eating at her insides so much that she is thinking of doing even worse things to keep it from getting out.
And for some reason, Janet manages to bring out a side in people that they didn't know existed. And she didn't have to do much to get them to act out of character.
All I can say is - Everyone and I mean everyone in this book needs to be in a "time-out." Especially some of the adults -

This book has a little bit of everything—twists, suspense, shocking moments, sadness, and plenty of "I know she didn't!" moments that kept me turning the pages.

This sequel is fast-paced, emotionally charged, and loaded with psychological tension. Janet is still unpredictable, dangerous, and oddly sympathetic. Her choices will frustrate you, but you won’t be able to look away. The plot unravels like a slow-burning nightmare, and the writing hits hard in all the right places.
I’m only holding back half a star because a few moments could’ve used a bit more depth or clarity. Overall, the book did not disappoint.

JUST WHEN I THOUGHT BOOK 1 WAS CRAZY….WELCOME TO BOOK 2. WHEWWWW JANET MOORE; I WAS SURE THEY’D EVENTUALLY CATCH HER ABOUT HER BIG SECRET SOMEWHERE DOWN THE LINE BUT THEY DIDN’T. WITH THAT BEING SAID I KNEW HER CONSCIENCE WAS GOING TO DO THE JOB (WHICH IT DID). THE CONFESSION THREW ME FOR A LOOP BECAUSE I WAS SO BLINDED THAT SHE WAS GOING TO TELL SOMEONE, THAT I DIDN’T GENUINELY DIDN’T REMEMBER WHY TELLING THAT SPECIFIC PERSON WOULD BE SO DETRIMENTAL. I JUST KNOW THERE NEEDS TO BE A BOOK 3 BECAUSE THERE ARE STILL SO MANY UNANSWERED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE WHOLE FAMILY. LIKE IF JANET IS ALREADY & MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES ALREADY RAN THROUGH THE FAMILY (HER MOTHER & UNCLE)…WHY WAS JANET NEVER TESTED?

So many twists and turns!
This book was full of so many twists and turns! Janet needs to deal with her trauma, my goodness! This story took place 25 years ago, so I hope she’s gotten it together by now! Honestly, she turned out exactly how I would expect a person who dealt with so much as a 9 year old girl. I think it’s a great read for someone interested in seeing the effects of unresolved trauma in a person. Also, full of so many twists and turns. Once you think you’d knew what would happen, you were wrong.

After reading the first book, I had questions about nature vs nurture. Mrs. Alexander really had me thinking. This book taking place 8/9 years later was no different.

The way I finished this book in 2 days probably needs to be studied somewhere. Older Janet makes younger Janet look like a miniature saint so I can't wait to find out what happens in RTM book 3. So much unexpected happened in this book and then some of what WAS expected, you were still like, WHAT!?!? This is a book that makes you want to run out and buy a gallon of holy water to pour on this little fast-tailed manipulative girl.

Lawd Janet ! After book 1 seeing Janet from 9 now 18 is absolutely insane! I loved it and can’t wait for book 3! Listen the way my mouth was dropped open during this whole book I was speechless! Please make sure to read book 1 first because baby! The drama , secrets and lies are everything!

I finished it
I was shocked when book 1 wasn’t a standalone. I liked it enough to read book 2 but so much was dragged out for me it kinda felt like “work” to get through it. Overall I did appreciate the story and the outcome. It was an ok read for me.

Was definitely worth the read. I was curious about how this part could measure up to part 1. I must say it definitely did. The series is so good and I can’t wait for the final book.

Wow!
Janet has grown but not changed. Her thought process and decisions continue to wreak havoc on those around her. I wasn’t expecting the end at all. I was definitely caught up in the story and look forward to book 3.
